The Fight for Iran’s Freedom
In this struggle, as in the general fight for democracy and human rights, Iranians need the support of the international community, including the American people. At this moment, the best thing Americans could do for us would be to prevent their own government from launching another war in the Middle East and to urge it to desist from threatening Iran with military strikes and regime change. Such rhetoric only strengthens the Iranian regime and makes our work more difficult.
Iran's pro-democracy movement is rooted in the country's moral, cultural and spiritual values. The fight for freedom is our own responsibility, not that of the Bush administration. Iranians need the American people to support us by lobbying their government to adopt policies that will help the forces of democracy and civil society. The Middle East desperately needs peace, not another war.

Comment: I agree with Qumars. Just because there are things happening in the world that are less than ideal, does not give us the right to come in and try to show them how great we are. We can work with other countries to help with ideas, comments, examples and such but war is not the answer. On the whole, we have chosen the wrong side in these disputes throughout history in about 80% of the cases. Sadam was one of ours, Noreiga, Castro and how many more have we trained and backed and then watched in horror as they went down the wrong path.
What is the role of the United Nations, to have tea parties and look at how good Iceland is doing? Make it do what it is supposed to do, start acting like a body that has some influence in this world or start another organization that does.
Until the folks from within start to make a determined effort to get out from under the rule of a bunch of religious goofballs who think that we should not have progressed since the fourth century, then they are going to be suppressed and held back. Wake up, stand up, look around and start to act like you belong in the world community.

Comment: Some are still naive to think that people in Iran revolted in 1979 and chose so called "islamic republic" and here they are again, shouting at us that they want some sort of change within regime itself. it sounds to me, they suggest that current Islamic criminals to let some brand new Islamic criminals to get control of power!
Sir I am familiar with your approach and the same pattern that have been used in the world so far and it has not worked. "Biological solution" rings a bell? Some Cubans have asked for biological solution, why? Because they had almost same sort of reasons and fears. What happened then? Nothing! Dictatorship transferred to a new one! in Iran's case, some of you in IRGC have thought about "biological solution" during Khomeini era but it didn't help either and now here we come again, the same approach that Cuban spies have injected the poisons idea of "waiting for within democracy" in dissident's society. It???s same game that Fidel Castro has played to stay in power for almost half a century. What can we expect from mullahs with communist background?! Nothing but Castro???s game plan!
One more thing; Democracy without world support is the beginning of a new dictatorship and that support should be there at the beginning. and for those who still think they made "Islamic Republic", just I should say think again.

Comment: Those Iranians who seek the US for help to restore democracy in Iran are traitors. They are selfsh, self-centered, short-sighted, dumb, have no dignity and double headed snakes. The world's history has shown that it was and still are the traitors who played the crucial role in the downfall of any country through foreign interventions. These kind of people residing in the US are also detrimental to the US security and should be marked as dangerous.
