Ah shut up about the blackhawk pilot. America chooes to fight for wars that are beneficial to them. It they aren't benefiting they aren't fighting. I guess they didn't realize that Somolia would put up such a fight. In terms of Rwanda that was just disgusting. Once again if it wasn't for the Canadians what would have happen to Rwanda and don't forget hurricane Katrina. It happen right in the US and who was first on the scene Canada that's who. No guys really lets not forget......It definately TIME FOR A CHANGE...

it's seems odd that everyone is so quick to disrespect Mr. Annan, after all it's not as though America is rushing to aid this situation. Let's face it if there where major oil in Kenya America and Americans would be in Kenya stoping the violence. Now they would probably overthrough the government and install an bunch of pro US scmoohs but they would at leat do something. So much noise from a nation that does nothing if there is no "NATIONAL INTEREST". What about human life is that not in your national interest

Its always America that has to solve problems...Canada always follows after the fact. I dont think there is ever a time in history that Canada has stood up in the fore front for anything but there own. Maybe YOU should lobby your politicians to stand up and take the reigns in Kenya. We atleast involve Nations that are not wishy washy wallflowers watching until the going gets better, then stand up and help...Wussies.

Interesting that you would call Canadians wussies, after all we are fighting in Afganistan, We show no leadership yet we were in the forefront of nations not rushing to America's unjustified and illegal war in Iraq. When Rwanda was in crisis and America was blocking all action in the UN it was a group of Canadian soldiers with no mandate that did what they could. America was to busy trying to find a word other then genocide. Look at the wondeful job you have done at "fixing" Iraq. the nation is crumbling as we speak and will continue to do so. America critizes those that are not with them on every idea yet it wants all of us to help them fix the problems that they have in fact caused in many places in the world.

Why didnt Kofi make it a priority back when he was Gen Sec of the UN?...Seems he just wants to stay in the spot light.

Interestingly though, but the high charged and abusive comments are wrongly placed here.In Rwanda,Koffi Annan could do nothing as America was healing its wound from Somalia humiliation.Annan stressed on change within the UN system,it was again America that was up against it.I tend to incline to the fact that UN serves the interst of USA,it has been proved not once not twice but all the time.I also respect and throw my trust on Koffi Annan that the deal to end mistrust in Kenya will be reached within this week.Prove me wrong.

No America was wise to realize that Somalia was wasting the worlds resources and time. Not to mention Clinton admin was total wussies and to busy with Monica to pay attention to his troops and Military leaders. Im sure if Bush was in office and the Somalia incident happend the end result would have been alot different. Let them in Somalia decide there own fates and deal with the world when they are ready. The world complains when the U.S. intervenes and when they dont intervene. P.s. it wouldnt be a real fight to pit U.S. might against the drugged up, high as a cloud little boys toting guns around they cant barely hold when they fire the guns to big for them. Its a joke looking at documentaries of these little fools. Maybe after we are done with Iran and the Taliban we will look in Somalias direction and stop there nonsense and avenge the Blackhawk pilots. We wont forget and never will.

its not surprising that with the big number of , academicians and high profile legislators in kenya no political solution was forth coming before Koffi Annan arrived in the country, kenya government seemingly is being run by the mafia disguised under the umbrella of Members of parliament from central province, no wonder hinting to "them" the most feasible political solution infringes on their political right to lead the country as if kenya is still under some kind of chieftainship or monarcy.
when will Martha Karua & Kalonzo Musyoka really be a learned friends if they left their careerers for selfish political ends or gains, these are two KEY personalities misleading fellow PNU counterparts under disguise that they understand constitional law better yet they are serving government under flawed electrol system and very goverment, note the letter sent to Annan and faxed to all media houses a karua doesn't understand english or whats wrong PNU you just didn't get it. <wadenya Francis>

Kofi is a good looking guy. He should move to the US and be an actor along side Morgan Freeman.

Apparently you are not aware of his little scams. He did absolutely nothing while he was U.N. Gen Sec. He did how ever ACCEPT bribes while there. Its surprising he wasnt thrown out on his ear when he got caught....but then again it isnt really that surprising, seeing how the U.N. does nothing for anyone but themselves....Its a waste of money and resources and hasnt been useful in anything but showing disapproval over atrocities and writing letters about it. Not once can they be credited for anything positive for any country since WW2. They are only a plus for dictators to use as stalling tactics, and the U.N. falls for it all the time.

Kofi Annan should use his oil for food kickbacks and solve that problem...Crooked f....Funny how he did little when he was head of the U.N., which by the way is a joke.

I agree with observer101, Kofi Annan is just wasting everbody's time and money. He is just sight-seeing like when he was the UN Gen-Sec. By the way, similarly the present UN Gen-Sec whatisname (Korean) is now in hiding in the UN building basement getting blowjobs from the UN interns.
