    Obama is a used car salesman and I hope voters will realize it in time to safe this country from the harm his presidency will be. His message of " change we can believe in' is a focus group pick for the presidential bit and no more then that. I've researched into his past records in the senate and the IL legislature and there are none, zero, nothing that points to any drastic incredible changes that people can believe in. Yes, he is different but the difference is that he has the audacity to play the voters stupid by selling empty words over experience and counting on the idea that voters are juste densed enough to buy the car without looking under the hood. His plan has worked in many ways but I think at the end of the day, people will realized that the woman running against him 'HIllary Clinton' is the real deal and it does indeed take hard work, persistent, experience to captain this great nation. I would not hir an amatuer mechanic to fix my car...even if he can sweet talk the heck out of me....so why should I hire an amatuer politician to run my country? even if he can sweet talk the heck out of me. I urge all voters to dig deeper and look at the candidates records....and once you do, you'll see what i've seen....Obama has gotten zero changes that you can point to as 'changes we can believe in'. As for him being against the Iraq war? he back-tracked one year later when public sentiment was pro-ware then flipped back when public sentiment was anti-war.....Obama is a fraud and a mediocre politician at best. Any comparison with JFK or MLK is an insult to those two great men.

    The situation that States is in (war, coming recession etc.) is a consequence of a conservative and -experienced- president. American government system is a good one that doesn't require that much experience. So, go Obama!

    Obama supporters, let me ask you this how much of a chance do you think Obama will have along with the Democratic Party to win if he becomes the nominee? WITHOUT focusing on anything else, there are documents that show, if nothing else, a personal/family history of Muslim Affiliation. How many Americans do you think are ready to have a Muslim Affiliated President, especially one who hasn???t been forthright about it? And before anyone says it-----YES THE MUSLIM ISSUE DOES MATTER! Also, he belongs to a church that focuses on and teaches Black Empowerment. How many non blacks (and some blacks for that matter) do you think will be able to accept this and will continue to support him?

    How long do you think his strong support base will last once the press and the Republicans finishes having a field day with these two topics alone? Even Karl Rove said last night that the Republicans would make "minced meat" out of him on the Oreiley Factor. Of course after he said this, the interview was cut short. Fox want to wait UNTIL he gets the nomination to expose everything.

    People the DEMOCRATS are guaranteed to LOSE if Obama gets the nomination!! The Media made a big deal out of Ted Kennedy???s endorsement, yet they failed to point out that even Ted Kennedy ???mistakenly??? called him ???Osama Bin Laden??? during a news report last year.     The reason for Obama's appeal to millenials seems obvious to me. We have raised (and rightfully so) an entire generation to beleive that race doesn't matter. So now the millenials see and are attracted to a viable presidential candidate who, by his very existance, is the liveing embodiment of "race doesn't matter". The millenials are doing exactly what we, their parrents, taught them to do. That is to be color blind. He is young (in fact he seems like he might know gen-x/millenial stuff such as his way around a soccer ball and a skate board without getting to freaked out) a great orator and has different ideas. Also when Obama stood in Springfield, Illinois in a long black coat to announce he was running last winter one only had to
    squint to evoke Lincoln. Maybe that's the other major factor. A lot of Americans are not happy about who and what they are and want someone who, like Lincoln, can wash away all our sins in one fell swoop. The WWII-ers and Baby Boomers were about desegration and integration. Gen-xers were about black and white playing on the same, level playing field. Millenials are about black and white doesn't matter. I am a gen-xer and tend to vote Repulican but I see the appeal of Obama. And at some point dynamic, inspirational leadership trumps even policy. P.S. Obama is probably a more devout Christian than 90% of the Archie Bunker types who try to smear him as being something else.

      Isn't it great to live in a country where we can express our opinions no matter how inpassioned or insane?

      Obama belongs to a church that, like it or not, puts mother Africa above the USA-He himself sees things as black and white! And if he doesn't, why is he such a staunch supporter of a church that's whole theme is centered around being black? I don't support the KKK but I sure as heck don't condone reverse racism either!

      Also....I watched part of Obama's speech last night in Wisconsin and I can't over the part where he said it was time to put TAXES back in the pockets of the workers! Gee Obama last time I checked, if you didn't work, you didn't pay taxes-DUH.....And furthermore I'm sick of getting taxed to death for the benefit of many whose biggest goal is to hang out and do nothing! :( (This includes people in every race!)

    The BarakStar is on tonight. I'll give all of his supporters on hear a sincere congratulation. That being said, as much as it hurts, it looks like its time to say, LETS GET READY TO RUMBLE. Its pretty evident that Sen. Hussein Obama from the great non-violent nation of Indonesia will be the DEMOCRATIC NOMINEE for PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES.

    It appears that my party is more afraid of Hillary than I am of a full blown jihad in our cities. So be it. Its about to get really UGLY. I'm sorry it has had to come to this.

    I'm sure some of you have noticed that HolyRoller seems to be gaining a small following. Who knows how many of us consider it our duty to inform our fellow countrymen about Mr. Obama's potential danger. Let's get busy folks.

          The video is from CNN - Fox News themselves issued as much of a correction as they are capable of doing by saying that the source for their story was Insight Magazine and the author of the story was "unknown". Insight Magazine is run by the Unification Church, sometime derogatorily referred to as "Moonies".

        In answer to your comments, there is a LOT of stuff on the web about Obama. And let's face it, who honestly knows what to believe based on the media coverage, etc? Some things in this life require us to go by our "GUT" instinct. And my instinct about Obama is that he's a dangerous man. I'm sorry if this offends you. But I, like you, am entitled to my opinion. I've learned, as I've gotten older, to rely on my "GUT" when it comes to emotional issues. (Such as politics) Especially when we are so bombarded with everyone elses "versions" of the truth.

                HR/Tif - Thanks for the info. I will not dispute the fact that Indonesia is the largest Muslim nation by percentage and that Islam is taught in schools. However, I am not willing to make a leap from there to say that Obama is a RADICAL Muslim intent on doing us harm.                   I mean seriously, have you given point to ponder "What if"? He lived there during the most important years-developmentally speaking. Can you at least agree with me that children's personalities and moral base is not established during the early years? I can't help but to have some serious reservations about Obama.                     Of course I agree with you that formative years are significant. But you also have to admit that he was far from the age of reason when he attended school there. He went to school in Hawaii from fifth grade until the time he graduated high school. He went to Occidental College in LA and Columbia University in New York as a teenager and young man. He went to Harvard Law School.

                    The "what if" scenario is non-existent for me because I am from Obama's home town of Chicago and we've been following his political career for a while now, so he didn't just drop in out of nowhere as it seems like he did for a lot of people. But for the sake of argument, I will entertain the idea. We have three branches of government with checks and balances over each other. All legislation that is authored comes from the legislative, not executive branch; he couldn't advance an insidious agenda even if he wanted to. To play along even further, a president can always be impeached. In short, in the very unlikely (and to me non-existent) possibility that Obama is some sort of wolf in sheep's clothing, he would be tossed out on his behind faster than you could say "Nixon".

                    Tif, I don't think that you (and even HR, despite our pokes at each other) are a bigot. I think you express fears that we all have deep in our hearts about many things, from safety to religion to our president. It's very difficult to get past those fears and in all honesty, despite my quite obvious support of Obama and left leanings, I still have them. You're going to be married soon; I'm married and have two young kids. What kind of future are we going to have with our families? Try asking yourself the same question, "what if?". What if Obama is able to unite and move the country forward on issues that matter to us and our children? What if he is able to restore our standing as leaders of the free world?

                    You and HR are both clearly educated Christians (although your fiance likes to play devil's advocate WAY to much in my opinion, I can only imagine what your dinner conversations are like :) ), so I will end this post with scripture that I use to embolden me when faced with the fears that you are expressing:

                    "You have heard the law that says, ???Love your neighbor???and hate your enemy. But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you! In that way, you will be acting as true children of your Father in heaven. For he gives his sunlight to both the evil and the good, and he sends rain on the just and the unjust alike.                       I greatly appreciate your open and honest response. I still cannot get past the "gut" feeling that I have about Obama. ( I'll even go as far as to call it my own personal conviction.) You brought up our system of checks and balances. Well hasn't the same system applied to GW? If so, then why is he accused of so many things including 9/11 conspiricies? (spelling?) I will tell you that in my years as an adult I have had disagreements with every president. Who hasn't? And I've respected each president regardless of our differences. But it honestly shakes me to think that I might have to call Obama president..
                      My daughter is 10 years old and her and her friends are all "set" in their personalities and beliefs. I'm going to use one of her friends as an example. I'll call her M. M is extremely nice and sociable in front of adults. My daughter has always sworn otherwise. But, behind closed doors she's another person. I know this for a fact thanks to an accidently overheard conversation. Getting to my point, Obama may be a charismatic and eloquent speaker. But I assure you he has two faces. And, if he's elected, within 12-18 months everyone that voted for him will be in shock. As for me, everything I already knew in my heart to be true will finally be brought to light. I think that you and I will just have to say we respectfully disagree on the subject of Obama. I've enjoyed the debate-thanks.

    As a christian, I hope that Obama got filled with the holy ghost, repented, spoke in tongues, and got slain in the spirit. Or at the least got a convicted soul, repented, and was reborn with the Spirit of Christ. I'd love to hear his testimony about this experience. I doubt it happened.     Precisely, because he's Muslim, he should become President. That would be a great way to salvage the country's image that is becoming more fundamentailst by segregating a group of people as a whole based on religion. Besides, clearly his religious affiliation is not seen as a "big deal" by a lot of people in this country, and especially not the youth. The poll results show that. In my mind, whoever brings up this issue to derail his campaign would instead seem like a bigot. Besides, what's wrong with Black empowerment?

The fact has been established that Obama went to a PUBLIC school with a large Muslim population as a child. You realize he also went to CATHOLIC school when he was a child? Between the ages of 6 and 10, he attended Fransiskus Assisi, a CATHOLIC school, and SDN Menteng 1, a PUBLIC school open to people of ALL FAITHS with a large Muslim population.     Obama is a muslim. He has never renounced his faith. And this must be done and all his reasons for quiting must be listed. Ask the people of Iran what this means, ask the people of India. They understand this all to well and are very worried that a muslim will become leader of the most powerful country in the would. If Obama is the presidential nominee, this election will be decided in Kenya. Look up his cousin the murderer who lost his last election/coup bid for the Kenya presidency. He is a muslim and wants to turn that country muslim with all its communist ties. We will be putting the fox in the henhouse, if he is the nominee and is elected.

      Hey partner, I saw this posted on Fox News (yes, I do visit there on occasion to see how the Klan is doing) yesterday. It's basically a cleverly constructed work of fiction composed of a few facts, some hyperlinks designed to look as if a legitimate source is being referenced or quoted (which is rarely the case), a whole lot of lies and innuendo and some really bad commentary to boot. It would take a long time for me to debunk all the garbage here, and I will by way of a few examples, but before I start:

      1. The whole "Obama is a Muslim thing" is garbage as is his refusal to say the Pledge of Allegiance. Obama was the target of a couple of nasty smear e-mail campaigns that, incredulously enough, use Snopes.com as a reference in attempt to look legitimate. The funny thing is, if anyone ever bothered to visit Snopes.com, they would see for themselves that those claims are false, they just never bother clicking the link. Obama attended a Muslim school as a child after his mother re-married and relocated to Indonesia, which is the source of this nastiness. Barack and Michelle are both Christians. He covers his heart during the Pledge and sings during the National Anthem, which is what his grandfather taught him. Not that religion should matter in a country that advocates the separation of church and state, but I digress...

      2. The whole "Obama's church is separatist" has been played out many times as well. The church advocates Black issues as much as a Polish church advocates on behalf of Polish issues or a Korean church Korean issues. The church did give an award to Louis Farrakhan, who is more radical than mainstream and myself would like. The church as a whole, whoever, is a reflection of the community in which it exists and all are welcome there, as they are in any Christian church.

        3. So let's deconstruct this entire website. The whole section on 1972, when Barack went to live with his grandparents, is absolute bunk. Designed to make it look like he rejected his grandparents, who are White, there is very little here that is based in fact. Claiming that he is "hiding" his maternal grandmother is ridiculous. He dedicated "The Audacity of Hope", one of his bestselling books, to his mother and HER mother (yes, his White grandmother), as "the women who raised me". You can stop by any book store and verify that. Now note the clever line in this section: "Now, the Chicago Tribune reports "the Obama campaign declined to make [his white grandmother] available," then goes on to say this is because she is White. Again, this is garbage. Note how "report" is hyperlinked to make it seem like it links to the Tribune's website. Click on it. Surprise! Another blogger posting about how Obama hates his grandma, not the Tribune! I live in Chicago - I get the Tribune. Unfortunately, I can't find the article online but I read the article and what Mr. Hatred conveniently leaves out is that she was not made available because she is in failing health. This can be confirmed by looking at this recent article in Vanity Fair, a legitimate journal: http://www.vanityfair.com/politics/features/2008/03/obama200803?currentPage=4. Note the first paragraph: "The water to Ann Dunham???s fire was her mother, Madelyn, who at 85 still lives in the same high-rise in Honolulu where she helped raise Barack; she is ailing, and declines interview requests."

        4. Obama's admission of experimenting with drugs is documented in Dreams from My Father. To make an argument that Obama has had presidential ambitions for a long time, our good friend Mr. Hatred cues up some quotes supposedly from his brother-in-law, Craig Robinson. Note the hyperlink here to grant legitimacy again. It's bunk again - it posts to a New York Times article that talks about Mark Penn's ill-advised attempt to portray Obama as having presidential ambitions by digging up a kindergarten essay. No mention of Craig Robinson whatsoever. The quotes are absolute fabrications.

          6. Let's fast forward to 1995. Mr. Hatred says "At age 33, he wrote in "Dreams from My Father, that "he found solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against his mother???s race." Wow, score another one for the BS column. Obama says no such thing in his book - I know, I've read both of them. Click the link, and voila! Oh, Barack never really said those things? Oh, I see, it was Mr. Conservative Commentator Steve Sailer who penned those words, not Senator Obama! What a surprise!

          In the end, my good friend and sounding board, there is just way too much crap in here for me to wade through it all, but I hope you've got a sense of how legitimate this site is - in short, it's about as legitimate as the worst of supermarket tabloids that claim that Lindsey Lohan is an alien (which is probably closer to the truth than any of this BS). Don't believe everything that you read on the Internet, and keep faith in Hillary - she's still the second best candidate out there :), and I guarantee you she is not high on Mr. Hatred's list either.

          You owe me at least one cocktail for going through the trouble of writing this. :)

I respect the fact that you are a strong Obama supporter but the tone of your response hear and the one you posted earlier feels creepy as hell.
