Psychology is psychology. It applies as easily to humans as it does to animals. The workings of all thinking creatures is basically the same for men, women, dogs and cows. The difference is that when we say animals are like people we are complimented as the top of the evolutionary chain and when we equate people to animals we are offended. Some people still have some evolving to do.

This is bullshit. Mabe your'e the one that needs the training.

just another man bashing article. It's ok to say something like this about a man, but what if your wife is not "trained?" Should the same tactic be used on her as well?

The concept to ignore bad habits (unless hurting someone) and reinforce good habits with positive works for anyone, child, adult, animal etc.
Part of marriage is to compromise differences and talk about what is bothering or annoying
two people so that they can realize each of us isn't perfect. But perhaps work it out so life or in this case marriage is more compatible. Its kind of like snoring. I put a pillow over his head until he stops snoring, we both get a good nights sleep and wake up refreshed to start a new day. (just kidding)

Has anyone seen the movie "If a Man Answers"? It's with Sandra Dee and Bobby Darin, and is based precisely on this premise; in the movie, she treats her husband like a dog. It's very cute, and I highly recommend it, but don't think treating your man like a pet is a new idea! It's been around for a while.

I Agree that if a Man wrote the same thing in regards to training his Wife like an Animal, it would be sexist.

Besides which, if you have No More Respect for someone than to treat them as an animal, you don't belong in that relationship in the first place.

This is hogwash!!! Why not marry someone to start with that will share in the relationship equally? Traning a spouse is a control issue that will, if it hasn't already, ruin a relationship. I'd hazard a guess that any woman that thinks that she needs to train her spouse is alerady attempting to control him and that's why he's leaving his socks on the floor to start with!

I knew it was a mistake when we started to let them vote, let them drive & let them it the bars. Not to mention when the took out the phrase " to love, honor and obey". We need to bring back Sam Kinison.

Whats next a goddamn leash? A marriage built on manipulation. Amy doesn't need a husband, she needs a dog, or better yet a leather outfit with a strap on.

"Coach him like an animal"??? youve got to be kidding me! Is this a balanced and happy marriage when one is completely responsible for the other? And lets flip it, what if it said "Author: Train Your Wife, new book tells how to have a more obedient spouse by training her like an animal" ...at what point does someone actually agree to become someones spouse if they need to be trained like an animal? Yes, humans are mammalian primates, but a marriage is doomed to fail when one has to tow the weight of the other and "train them like a dog". Good luck in THAT relationship, i prefer a partner who has her own life and allows me mine while we share them, nobody is going to talk down to me, and neither will i. unbelievable

Good tips, and you are so right. Who wants to be manipulated? Letting someone know they are being "managed" will definitely backfire.

If he is a DOG, what does that make HER?

  • Posted By: joshnew @ 02/17/2008 10:00:31 PM

We all know that women are on this earth to serve their male superiors. Women fall to their knees upon my command. My sayng to all the winches is " Slarve my dode or hit the road".

This was made into a comedy in the late 60's. A woman picks up a book on dog training and uses it to manipulate her husband. I can't remember who starred in the female lead....Doris Day...Sandra Dee......?

Anyway, women would be FURIUOS (and rightfully so) if men used dog training tools to get what they wanted out of women.

another pathetic lament of the gynocracy...why dont women just accept the differences in sexuality versus the continued conflict and reverse harrassment
