All girls must read: "Why men love bitches" by Sherry Argov. A lot of good trainning tips there...:)) And men really love bitches but don't know about it....

I am getting tired of woman and the publishers that encourage them (Newsweek ), treating men in such a disrespectful manner. If a man wrote a article or essay on how to train his wife...I guarantee Newsweek would not have the huevos to run that story, and womans groups all over the country would be outraged.

The same principles are true in child-rearing and teaching. While it's not appealing to compare a husband or child to an animal the basics remain. No matter who you're talking about, rewarded behavior will continue - who doesn't want a treat or a pat on the back? Ignored behavior generally stops because it does not bring the desired reaction.

I am always astounded by the language and incorrect grammar that is posted on the internet. Garbage in, garbage out, as usual. Women are not bitches, dogs are bitches. Women are not "hoes", that is a gardening implement. If the word "whore" is intended here, then "whores" should be used; otherwise, "dumbhoes" is simply a collection of unintelligent gardening tools (somewhat like the person posting this comment)

Guys !!! COME ON .... this is PEFECT

OK here is the reality .. Us guys KNOW that most women are self-centered emotional children. LET THEM THINK they are "equals" and that they can "train" their men. Wouldn't it be great if they reward us for simple trivial things and don't go instabitch the second we do something they don't like.

You want the truth ... this is a self help book. It helps women deal with the fact that they are NOT EQUALS

Hey if my wife was to reward me for picking up my socks .... heck yeah I would ... its a TRIVIAL AND WORTHLESS win. But if she told me to sell the boat .... well guess whos gonna be eating fishes(double masters BTW - for any of those feminazis that think my wife MUST BE one of "those poor women")

Ladies: your not traingin your guy .... we just don't f'ing care that much about little things. We love you they way we met you. We understand that you are not going to stay the same.... just don't change so quickly that we think your the devil. Hey if socks on the floor bother you .... sure tell us to pick them up.... but then why not slip on a little somethin somethin ..... ya know make us UNDERSTAND that is a BIG DEAL ..... we will be picking up YOUR socks if its gonna get you to do that thing tht you only do when your really drunk ;)

but yes if you want to call it "training" hey we are ok with it as ong as your don't bite down

The same tactics of "training" are used in child-rearing and teaching as well. While it's not appealing to compare a husband (or child) to an animal many of the basics hold true. Behavior that is rewarded becomes repeated behavior - who doesn't want a reward? And behavior that is ignored often stops because it does not bring the reaction desired (positive or negative).

I vowed to NEVER manipulate my husband when we go married. I kept that vow. My spouse vowed to ALWAYS listen to me, even when I'm overly-emotional. He kept his vow. We've been very happily married now for 8 and a half years. We're team-mates and partners. I don't bring up mistakes over and over again and he says he is sorry if he happens to be wrong. My man ain't no dog so I don't treat him like one.

This reminds me of something my mother in law said years ago. I was ironing which was nothing unusual in my world as I did most of the things that had to be done around the house. My mother in law looked at my wife and said "I see that you have him trained". I quickly corrected her by saying, "NO!, the problem is that you never trained her and if you had, I would not be the only one doing all of this."

Yeah good comment jmfuller22. cause sex appeal and servant acts are the same as cleaning up your own dirty clothes and filthy messes. Your right, that may just be too much to ask. try again.

My wife came pre-trained, so we don't have to worry about this. Thanks for the advice, though, Yabroff.

What a wonderful double standard. What would women say if a book were published on "How to Train a Wife" What a bunch of sexist hypocrites - women

  • Posted By: jmfuller22 @ 02/13/2008 6:33:27 PM

"Don ' t take it personally: Laundry is just laundry, not a symbol for how much your spouse loves you or values your marriage. " ENOUGH SAID... love them for who they are... what if they talked to their friends about training you to start wearing more revealing clothing and make you breakfast every day. Double standards people, double standards.

How dare any female "author" act out in such a duplicitous, sexist, and hypocritical manner. "How to train a husband"? Get on the bike, girlfriend, after today, we are going back to the idea of "How to train a wife". Problem is, smart men of this century DON'T want, need, or desire a wife; besides being completely untrainable, women are so self-deluded, untrustworthy, self-absorbed, selfish, and self-centered, who needs them anyway? America woman, stay away from me; a song that needs to be redone and sung from the rafters. Get over yourself ladies, you can be replaced; female robots can't be far off. Sexism against women, according to women, is SO very wrong. Sexism against men, according to women, is so fashionable and humorous. Your opinion has been negated and found worthless. If this editorial trash is what the woman's movement has produced...pssst...it has been a dismal failure; now go find someone "trainable" and dumber than those that buy into this nonsense, if that's possible. (gag) Men better wake up before your "sweetie" pulls a "Mary Winkler" on you. This book was not an attempt at "humor", that is simply the guise used to peddle it to the media. How did that other song go? "They smile in your face, all the while they want to take your place..."

And women say men are pigs? Women are pigs too. Women are poop eating pigs.
