Maybe if Dobson had been willing to cross the ANTI-MORMON picket line this race would have been a different. We could have had a president we could be proud of. As things are now, there is NO ONE to vote for. Buckle up your seat belts and hold on for the ride for the next four years.

    ROMNEY 2012

    • Posted By: HolyRoller @ 02/10/2008 12:17:46 PM

Shows what you know. Dobson endorsed Romney, In the process he lost quite a bit of credability with true Christians. Dobson took some mormon gold.

      • Posted By: thrasher32 @ 02/11/2008 12:45:28 PM

I guess that shows that Dobson is even more of an idiot ignorant jerk than I had imagined, and I have a pretty big imagination...

        • Posted By: psalinas @ 02/11/2008 1:05:47 PM

          not very smart either

          • Posted By: stlopez17 @ 02/12/2008 7:43:10 AM

TRUE CHRISTIANS? THERE'S NO SUCH THING IN AMERICA. MORE LIKE HIPOCRATE CHRISTIANS THAT HAVE A HISTORY OF LYNCHING AND CORRUPTING.

      • Posted By: Braes @ 02/10/2008 2:11:58 PM

Sir, I might suggest the 'true christian' debate will be settled, in that great house not made with hands, as we all have to stand before a loving God, with but his grace as our salvation.

          You mean Valhala right?

          • Posted By: Braes @ 02/10/2008 5:48:25 PM

No I am blessed and live in Valhallah now, the American South. God made sinners fools and yankees. I thank God I am not a yankee.

            • Posted By: stlopez17 @ 02/12/2008 7:35:51 AM

YEAH ITS FUNNY HOW YOU TAKE CHRISTIANITY INTO A JOKE

    • Posted By: Braes @ 02/10/2008 2:09:36 PM

Let me quote Reagan from his debate with Carter, "there you go again." You are clue-free good man, there was absolutely nothing anti-mormon in this at all, excepting a few shrill bigots, of whom I detest more than you. Mormons have a faith system I admire deeply, especially their word of wisdom and lifestyle. I admire their tithing, I admire their works. I admire the sacrifice of years to spreadd their faith in an apostolic way, by twos, as was done in the early church.
It was never at all about LDS Sir. Your shrill attempt and painting anyone who disagreed with his campaign as a bigot is sad. Your lack of knowledge of the manifold facts and manifold flaws befuddles me. Your demand that I leave America for Germany goes to places I can hardly fathom. Mitt was caught lying several times ok? That goes to Character. As far as serving in Germany, I was a volunteer and did my duty, I also saw Dachau, and the camps. I went to a parochial school as a child and lerned German to fluency. I would love for you to explain why Germany, please? Are you calling me a Nazi? I send money every month to Magen David Adom to build Red Cross facilities in Israel. I also donate to St. Judes because the thought of kids with cancer motivates me.
I wage peace now Sir, with the same determination that I once waged war. (Gulf I, Somalia, Cold War.)

The Republican Party........"has become so dogmatic that it might choose purity over victory".
The German Nazi Party did choose purity and we all know what cost in war and lives. The Social Conservatives are coming across as no better than the Nazis. Rush Limbaugh, a known drug addict , several televangelists caught with hookers, social Conservative members of Congress caught chasing little boys, Christian leaders caught having gay sex and so on and so on. Do we really want these same people, who spread so much hate, who demand we live by a moral code that they them selves do not live by, running this country again? The German Nazi Party destroyed an entire country. Are we really going to allow the Neo-Nazi party (the Religious Right) do the same to America? Look at their past history, they truly do not live by the very morals they try to preach and enforce on the rest of America. I hope McCain makes the right choice and does not become another Bush.

      YOU ARE SO RIGHT jjp735

    • Posted By: TXoldgeezer @ 02/10/2008 4:14:39 PM

Your comparison of conservative flaws and failures with the Nazis reaches a new low in assininity.

    • Posted By: conservative62 @ 02/10/2008 9:44:11 AM

You paint with a rather broad brush, jjp735i. The actual truth is that no one--no, not one--lives flawlessly. I suspect then that the rest of us might find you living among us. Yes?

  • Posted By: HolyRoller @ 02/09/2008 9:27:59 PM

I know what Rush's problem is. He's back on the "hillbilly heroin". And chances are he was promised some mormon gold.

    • Posted By: thrasher32 @ 02/11/2008 12:46:50 PM

No, while Rush is certainly a slovenly loathe-inducing junkie, that's not his main problem. His main problem is that he's a scumbag conservative....

      • Posted By: stlopez17 @ 02/12/2008 7:19:27 AM

VOTE FOR A RIGHT WINGER AGAIN AND MIGHT AS WELL WELCOME OUR COUNTRY INTO A NEW LIFE, A MODERN DAY THIRD WORLD COUNTRY. REPUBLICANS ARE GOING TO DESTROY THE U.S BRING IT DOWN TO ITS KNEES AND GIVE IT A GOOD SLAP IN THE FACE. WHY SHOULD WE LET THIS HAPPEN. WHY SHOULD WE LET OTHER COUNTRYS BECOME THE NEW SUPER POWER WE ONCE WERE

  • Posted By: eddiebtc @ 02/09/2008 8:37:09 PM

Like I said earlier, I'm a democrat. I find it hilarious, the way Rush and Hannity are practically conceding the election to the democrats.
There is one thing I don't get though. They are very fond of invoking the name of their god, Ronald Regan, when dissing McCain. Especially when they talk about his team-up with Ted Kennedy on immigration.
Wasn't Regan's solution to the problem in the "80's a real amnesty?
If your ancestors came from anywhere but North America (and there are only a relative few of them left) then who are you to talk? My great grandfather came through Ellis Island in 1899. Thank God Americans weren't as prejudiced against Italians then as they are against Mexicans now.

    • Posted By: psalinas @ 02/11/2008 1:21:43 PM

I have no problem with immigration coming thru Ellis Island is a whole lot differant than swimming across the Rio Grande, or jumping fences to overload are ER rooms and jails. You might what to take a look at the Webster Dictionary and look-up the word ILLEGAL . When you put that in front of immigration it makes it a crime. We have way too many criminals in this country not to do back ground checks on any person that come to The United States, and that is what Ellis Island was used for. There is nothing prejudice about it .

      • Posted By: stlopez17 @ 02/12/2008 7:13:37 AM

TYPICAL PUNDIT! WHY ARE YOU SO FASCINATED WITH MEXICANS? ARE YOU JEALOUS BECAUSE WERE TAKING YOUR WOMEN. MAYBE MY COUSIN YOU KNOW THE POOL GUY OR THE GUY THAT CUTS YOUR LAWN IS TAKING GOOD CARE OF YOUR SPOUSE.

    • Posted By: Braes @ 02/10/2008 2:45:18 AM

Immigrant scapegoating has afflicted each wave that came here and drove their assimilation.

  • Posted By: burbank @ 02/12/2008 2:50:39 AM

In the end,all that matters is what Mr. Mccain will do for the country if he is elected. The smoke screen put up by talk show hosts et.al., on the conservative nature of Mccain, does nothing to explain the stance he has on issues or how effectively he will deal with them once in office. To infer that to be conservative we all must march in step and follow blindly the lead of Coulter, Limbaugh, Savage and others risks the independant nature of personal choice. And when people abdicate their responsibility in that regard, you end up on the fast track to tyranny.

  • Posted By: canyonfodder @ 02/11/2008 10:21:07 PM

"Talk radio's political shock jocks" ?? Hewitt, Hannity, Ingraham & Limbaugh are the political equivalent of Howard Stern or Don Imus? Well, maybe if you're one of the pundits who, in Nov. 1980, didn't know anyone who voted for Reagan. If you've been listening to any of these folks during the past 20 years, you'll realize they've provided a balance to the slanted world of mainstream media. Hardly shock jocks - they've provided a forum of intelligent discussion of issues that matter to the rest of us in "flyover country".

  • Posted By: keep it real @ 02/11/2008 10:15:04 PM

im sick of ann i hope she dont vote for mcain we dont need her vote, and i hope the rest of the right quits buying her books she made a ass of herself

  • Posted By: WAjohnson @ 02/11/2008 7:20:21 AM

The radio talk show hosts just don't get that conservatism doesn't come in just one style. You don't have to support big business and shun every common sense attempt to protect the environment in order to be a strong conservative. They are just acting like spoiled children because their candidate, Romney, who they thought they could control, lost the primary. John McCain will be a conservative president and I believe will appeal to the masses just like Ronald Reagan did.

    • Posted By: psalinas @ 02/11/2008 12:24:38 PM

If McCain becomes President I hope he moves all illegals to you home town. Care to tell us where you live I have lots a relatives across the border waiting to find where they will be most welcomed.

If OBAMA OR CLINTON win we will see them in everones house and they will get our tax dollars to be there.

  • Posted By: True_judge @ 02/11/2008 6:47:31 AM

Yeh...Vote for John McCain and we'll have the third world war...! Who cares!

    • Posted By: BILLYBOB300 @ 02/11/2008 8:56:08 PM

WE are more likely to end up in a war with a weak inexperienced leader like OBAMA or Clinton.

  • Posted By: Wyorepublican @ 02/11/2008 8:54:15 PM

I am a Wyoming Republican. My take on the conservative Republican base's "problems" with McCain? Anyone enemy of Ann Coulter or Rush Limbaugh is someone I will be supporting.

  • Posted By: eric14626 @ 02/10/2008 10:36:44 PM

As a Republican for 36 years I can honestly say I will not vote for McCain if he is the GOP nom. His stance on Immigration is a travisty. I have not heard him say anything about not allowing illegal immigrants citizenship. What dosen't he understand about illegal. His bill was amnesty period

    • Posted By: HolyRoller @ 02/11/2008 9:28:15 AM

Must be a Romney mormon lackey. This country will overcome economic issues, immigration problems, and whatever internal problems we have. 9/11X100 will not be easy. Vote McCain-give a mohammed some virgins.

      • Posted By: thrasher32 @ 02/11/2008 12:54:52 PM

You know what HolyRoller, since you're obviously God's emissary here on earth, why don't you buy a plane ticket and fly over to the middle east and take care of the radical islam problem yourself, and save a couple thousand american lives?

You fool, you're buying into the scare tactics that your conservative masters have been pitching, now you're so scared of the big bad boogeyman of the week/year/decade (islamo-fascist-terrorism) that you'll gladly give up all of your (and my) rights and freedoms so that we can be defended against this smoke-and-mirrors threat.

Wake up!!! You've been used and manipulated! Hello!!! Take the tin-foil hat off (I promise the aliens won't read your thoughts) and try and think for yourself!!!

        • Posted By: HolyRoller @ 02/11/2008 8:01:48 PM

I guess your a Hussein fan, huh. Well as for the middle east, I think you and your candidate should go and live there. I'm sure they would welcome you with open arms. By the way is Hussein shiite or sunni?

    • Posted By: psalinas @ 02/11/2008 12:51:02 PM

Enter Your CommentI agree, now what do we do to get this point across to make real change and keep the United States of America strong. Our political parties need to wake up and remember, they are elected by the citizen of the United States do what is right for us not what they perceive to be politically correct. We have laws in this country let law enforcement enforce them and fine employers for hiring illegals then and only then will they get the message and go home.

  • Posted By: Good Witch @ 02/11/2008 7:32:11 PM

I can't believe I agree with Rush Limbaugh on anything as much as I dislike the man but the only way I
would turn out to vote for McCain is if he was running for Vice President to Huckabee's Presidency.....Republicans better not count too heavily on conservatives backing McCain, I just might vote
    for Edwards!
