The Trans-Tx Corridor (TTC) that you spoke of is the start of super toll road in which Tx does not need to unit Mexico with Canada. Texas is in the first stages of taking away homes, land, and businesses from Texans. Gov. Perry tried to pass this mutli billion dollar expansion - which a company partially owned in spain is doing the work. This road will help your local drug dealers and terriost get into the country easier and faster than they currently can. TxDot panelist at a town hall meeting admitted on camera that the TTC/I69 is a trade route to transport goods from China via mexico, through Tx and beyond. It will eventually connect w/Canada in Port Huron, MI.
If Ron Paul can help stop this - I say lets vote him in office!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! www.TexasTurf.org

Why do I costantly see the media poking fun at Ron Paul instead of pursuing the issues in our country that prompted Americans to donate amazing sums of their own money hoping for a real change. I certainly would not donate 1 penney for this article.

I would like the Author of this article to show some better circumstantial evidence that Ron Paul's claims are wrong. As far as I am concerned he has shown more factual evidence supporting his claims than you (the author of this post) has. Being familiar with debate and in support of an argument, show us, the reader something more than just rhetoric. Thank you.

i like most of what Ron Paul has to say but i think he would kill this country if he got elected, he would try to do to much to fast, it is one thing to know whats going on and another to know how to fix it, I think he is smart but don't think he would be the rite man to run this country. With that said i would rather him run it than that guy named Hilary

Just so you know . . . Congressman Paul has transition programs for all that he wishes to accomplish, i.e., our troops withdraw in an orderly fashion and he would not suddenly put an end to welfare and social security. He has stated that would not be compassionate or practical. Also, don't forget that there are many things that he could not accomplish quickly or perhaps not at all because congress would have to approve much. However, he would certainly be a step in the right direction.

George Orwell, when writing 1984, selected that date to commence the 100 year anniversary of the fabian society, a group of interventionist socialists who despised individualism. Orwell thought this group was vile and sought only power. They were named after a Roman general, whose strategy was to slowly wear down his opponent through incremental victories.
On wikipedia look up the Fabian society.
Then, on wikipedia, look up David Rockefeller.
We're in a lot of trouble.

This article is utter nonsense. Ron Paul in debates agreed with George Bush in 2000 when he stated he he would not police the world and that he would focus on having a balanced budget, and of course lambastes Bush at the same time for being fiscally irresponsible! Couldn't a man change his mind when he sees the stupidity of later flawed agenda's. Especially when Ronald Reagan was surrounded by globalists such as Henry Kissinger that screwed this country all to hell advising Reagan, Reagan started out a great leader but with old age and Alzheimer's, apparently lost Ron Paul there in the later years, but still recognizes the achievements early in his administration. This person writing this article has obviously been schooled by CFR members on spinning and distorting. He has very little to work with in criticizing Ron Paul, in other words......weak argument!

Wow! This from a magazine as large and "respected" as Newsweek? Some call this the dragon stage of an empire: When the snakes become powerful, sprout legs, and no longer need to sneak and slither around - in this case, a medium that doesn't even bother pretending not to be biased.

"Newsweek evidently doesn't like to be confused by the facts. The article is obviously misguided or the author is just uninformed on the issue. Unfortunately, the magazine decided to resort to name-calling. Newsweek evidently decided to rely only on sources that told them what they want to hear."

"Senate Joint Resolution 22 was submitted to the Oklahoma legislature in 1995 calling for the support and creation of a NAFTA superhighway, which was spelled out in exactly those words. What more evidence does Newsweek need?"

    - Oklahoma State Senator Randy Brogdon

"Well, that would be long, long term."

    - Former Mexican President Vincente Fox (on the "amero")

???Countries benefit when they change these policies, and evidence suggests that North Americans are ready for a new relationship that renders this old definition of sovereignty obsolete."

???North American economic and security community, the boundaries of which would be defined by a common external tariff and an outer security perimeter.???

    - Robert Pastor (CFR)

Rep. Virgil Goode's office confirmed that House Concurrent Resolution 40, sponsored by the Virginia Republican to oppose the North American Union and NAFTA Superhighways, now has more than 40 co-sponsors in the House of Representatives.

Anyone reading this should really check into who owns Newsweek and why they might want to make Dr. Paul fall,, I don't even have to look,, It's pretty clear they have a hidden agenda... Many companies will fall without government corruption.... It's gonna be a long, tough battle, but the truth will prevail...

FACT: The Spanish owned corporation building this highway in called Cintra, and they are being represented by Bracewell & Guiliani....yes, RUDY Guiliani. Hhhmmmmm, makes you wonder why Rudy was so fast to giggle and laugh over Paul's assertions in debate, as if this is all pure fantasy. All you bastards work together, but the lies are getting pretty transparent.
I'm proud to see there are so many people out there, like me, that are sick of our country being sold out by corrupt politicians in bed with big business pimping out what USED to be the free press....we have a whole new free press out here, Mr. Miller, and it isn't that hard to debunk your BS., as you can see.
Maybe when you get sick of being owned you'll join us in raising our voices to speak the truth and take our country back. I hope all these comments have you soul-searching, or at least, honing your research skills.

Comment: Joe Miller is a CORPORATE PUPPET!

    CHECK THIS FACT:

Joe Miller writes for factcheck.org, a project coordinated by the Annenberg Public Policy Center which is funded by a grant from the Flora Family Foundation. The Flora Family Foundation was established by the co-founder of Hewlett-Packard and his wife, William and Flora Hewlett. Both are staunch Republicans and supporters of the McCain campaign.

David Packard, HPs other co-founder, was appointed U.S. Deputy Secretary of Defense by Richard Nixon and served until 1971, solidifying the companys relationship with the Republican Party.

In 2004, lobbyists for HP succeeded in charming Congress into drafting and subsequently passing legislation to ease taxation enough for the company to reach its profits goal for the year of over $14 billion.

John Hassell, director of government affairs at Hewlett-Packard at that time, said, We're trying to take advantage of the fact that Republicans control the House, the Senate and the White House.
