Just the fact that she is not giving up is indicative of the strong, passionate, dedicated person Hillary is and what a great leader she will be. It's easier to coast along when the numbers are on your side, but when the going gets tough it's the real leaders who perservere and endure till the end. Only a person who has a great love of this country, and a huge desire to see people get what they deserve could push forward with a plan that would bridge the gap not only in this nation but abroad as well. I wish Hillary and her team the very best and she has my vote!

Obamma stole every campaign promise from Hillary. All his ideas came from Her, he is a fraud and without congress and the senate, he can't get crap done for anyone. FACT: Hillary has political pull to get things done! Fact: Obamma has NO political pull!

    • Posted By: Kafemean @ 02/13/2008 6:30:34 PM

Yeah, no political pull that is why he has won the last 8 states, right?

      • Posted By: steven7432 @ 02/13/2008 6:50:56 PM

He won't win the entire thing because he would be the worst one to run the country. Only if you support his faith would you believe otherwise.

Good, then he'll be pretty much harmless. More than you can say for Hillary.

Steverose, I totally think that is a very good possibility. I had never heard of the man until this election nomination started and I do pay attention to politics and the news. I wonder how and with whose money he became an overnight boy wonder. Usually if it looks like bs, sounds like bs and smell like bs it is probably bs. I think we are hearing way to much smoozing and Hillary may not be the perfect candidate but I think she is a far cry from Obama.

Hillary's a meglomaniacal Communist Manchurian Candidate
Obama's a neophyte Socialist wannabe feel-good empty suit and downright dangerous in foreign affairs
Neither product of the bed-wetting left stands a chance
Too bad Ann Coulter isn't running - she makes the most sense of anyone on the political scene

Obama has momentum. He has momentum because he has a message that the people of the US are ready to hear. And Senator Clinton, for all her intelligence and good qualities, represents a step backwards, rather than forwards. I look for Obama's success in securing the nomination and the Presidency.

    • Posted By: steven7432 @ 02/13/2008 6:46:16 PM

Why don't you look way way back and see where he got his good ideas? Hillary gave them to him and everyone else.

  • Posted By: Cliff n WA @ 02/13/2008 6:45:13 PM

Yes it is sad that both race and gender will diminish the status of our POTUS in many foreign eyes. I did a report in a social psychology class on some discrimination experiments which showed discrimination equal between race and gender, but gender discrimination was much more acceptable. Not only acceptable to be displayed or voiced, but also acceptable as a personally held belief. There is much less internal discord and pressure to change if no word (like racism) is in your consciousness to accuse yourself of. Women seemed to be the most discriminatory to other women. Perhaps they feel entitled to be so? I am just asking, no offense intended.

We believe that H. Clinton is the best choice to be the next President of the USA. She is a very experienced ,very capable and a very smart woman, she knows where she is " stepping in". For Obama the presidential seat is too big: he is uuexperienced and has absolutely no idea what to do from the day 1.We have the opportunity to change the history of this country electing for the first time a woman to be the president. We will still have many " Obamas" , but Hillary is the only one. All the women need to support her!

Read up on Hillary Rodman Clinton. Google "Vince Foster", her lover that committed so-called "suicide, and his death was never investigated. ALSO, Google "the Barrett Report" which was initially a congressional inquiry into a Clinton Cabinet member, outlines illegal abuse of the office of the Presidency by both Bill and Hillary Clinton. A Clinton-Appointed Judge redacted 120 pages of the most damning information on the Clintons after over 10 years of fighting on behalf of the Senior Dems in the Congress and Senate... all who now support OBAMA.

    To Mystic Spirit:
    a) The Clintons are from Arkansas, not Alabama.
    b) Bill Clinton was basically raised by a single mom in a low-income bracket, a far cry from a silver spoon in his mouth.
    c) If you want to tell people to 'wake up' re: Hillary Clinton's "experiance" from the "beggening" you might want to be able to spell those words.
    d) As a physician from SC (and having heard Hillary speak on our health care crisis as far back as 15 years ago), I can tell you that her interest in fixing our health care system woes is genuine and long-standing. She is committed and persistent, and that is what will spell success

still strongly believe, that h.Clinton is the best choice, she is an experienced governer and knows
very well where she is stepping in, besides, Hispanic population has a big respect for Clintons,
those years with Clintons were the best for them. Many consider the presidential seat is too big
for Obama, he is young and unexperienced, he still needs to learn... We have now a big opportunity
to elect the first woman as a President in the whole history of the USA. We will still have 10 " Obamas"
but Hillary is the only one....All women need to support her...

Perhaps I missed something about Hillary. When and where, exactly, did she "govern?"

      • Posted By: jmartincali @ 02/13/2008 6:40:50 PM

she is governing a New York Senator... look up the word "govern"

      • Posted By: Rinnovato @ 02/13/2008 6:38:22 PM

Hillary has NEVER governed anything. 15 years of the 35 years of Hillary's so-called "experience" has been as a Corporate Lawyer for WalMart. 12 years of the 35 years of Hillary's so-called "experience" has as the WIFE of a politician. 8 years has been as a U.S. Senator. So, 23 of 35 years, she has not has to make any decisions that impacted people's lives, except when she worked on laying people off while representing corporations. Barack Obama has dedicated his life to public service as a community organizer to help economically devastated communities, civil rights attorney, and leader in the Illinois state Senate for 8 years. Obama now continues his fight for working families following his recent election to the United States Senate. Senator Obama also was a Law professor teaching civic and constitution law at UIC, the #2 Law school in the Nation... meaning He is a Scholar on the U.S. Constitution.

Senator Obama serves on the Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee, which oversees our nation???s health care, schools, employment, and retirement programs. He is a member of the Foreign Relations Committee, which plays a vital role in shaping American policy around the world, including our policy in Iraq. And Senator Obama serves on the Veterans??? Affairs Committee, which is focused on providing our brave veterans with the care and services they deserve. In 2005 and 2006, he served on the Environment and Public Works Committee, which safeguards our environment and provides funding for our highways.

During his eight years in the Illinois state Senate, Obama worked with both Democrats and Republicans to help working families get ahead by creating programs like the state Earned Income Tax Credit, which in three years provided over $100 million in tax cuts to families across the state. Obama also pushed through an expansion of early childhood education, and after a number of inmates on death row were found innocent, Senator Obama enlisted the support of law enforcement officials to draft legislation requiring the videotaping of interrogations and confessions in all capital cases.

Obama is especially proud of being a husband and father of two daughters, Malia, 9 and Sasha, 6. Obama and his wife, Michelle, married in 1992 and live on Chicago???s South Side where they attend Trinity United Church of Christ.

Barack Obama was born on August 4th, 1961, in Hawaii to Barack Obama, Sr. and Ann Dunham. Obama graduated from Columbia University in 1983, and moved to Chicago in 1985 to work for a church-based group seeking to improve living conditions in poor neighborhoods plagued with crime and high unemployment. In 1991, Obama graduated from Harvard Law School where he was the first African American president of the Harvard Law Review.

Why? Because she is a woman? That is simply like voting for someone based on the color of his skin. I am a woman - 51 years old - and hold a public office. I would vote for a billy goat if I thought they would address unemployment, unmandated healthcare that under the Clinton plan will cost each individual who are not provided health care otherwise, and high energy costs. A billy goat in office would be historic! Think about something - Hillary is touting 35 years of experience - but our country didn't get to the state that it is in in just 7 years. It was a long road to where we are now. If that is what her experience - and bipartisan influence has gotten us, then I think my vote is for "hope". Our country cannot do much worse than it is right now!

I believe in equality and the fact that we live in America and have the dream is yours and mine. However, given the war status the next President will have to shake hands and make friends to make things happen. Whether it be with each other or the opposing sides to come to some sort of resolution and bring our troops home. After some thought I thought what Muslim in the Middle East would agree sit with a woman much less a woman President to discuss anything? I am all for women being a woman myself but even I woul know this country in the state of war we're in would step aside for the good of our Country. It's not that I don't think she couldn't do it, just that I know the status if any the women in that part of the world endure.

I have no idea who I will vote for at this point in time. We still have a long way to go, and I am perfectly
content to see what more I can learn. What I do know, as a student of politics for quite some time,
is that public office is all about POWER! The politicians say what will get them elected. Do you believe
for one moment, that proposals for Healthcare will be funded, just because they say so? Get a life
people!. Follow back into the 60 and see how much of what was promised came to fruition. Roe v. Wade
is here to protect women's choice. Do you want the government telling you what you can and cannot
do medically? That decision is a moral issue for the woman. The flip-flopping done is to give the public,
particularly what they want to gain the vote. Do you believe for one minute, that highly educated women
want government interference medically? Get into some reality and look at the condition our country is
in. We elect people for change, which they have not done in decades.

I firmly believe both candidates are with exceptional skills to be president of the United State of America. If only I could vote, I would have voted equally both Senators Hillary and Obama. However, this is impossible. I think American people should choose a democrat president this time. Because, a democrat president would be either a black African America (Sen Obama) or a woman (Sen Hillary) either of them are going to be the success of pure democracy in this great country over colour and race or over gender respectively but unfortunately I am not a USA citizen to have contributed by my vote. If it is Sen Hillary, she would not only be a woman president but she would be a woman and with a man who is her husband and an ex USA president where he is one of the greatest and he is a hero to many in politics in the world. Therefore, she would not be alone. Moreover, if it is Sen Obama he is a young American talented personality with huge of energy. Here is my biggest worry is I hope either of them would support promoting democracy in the world especially in middle east and assist wholeheartedly Kurds in Building up their own independent state. Because, I believe that American could make Kurds their permanent friends in the region for the best of both nations??? interests. Kurds have long been ignored, oppressed, and inhumanly divided so it would be the success of the world democracy if either of them or any next American president would support an independent Kurdish State.... I am a white women over 50 years of age and up until about 2 years ago a Democrate my parents were true democrates and so on . . but after viewing/listening to (he would have had my vote . . ten fold . .just check with my family/friends/neighbors . .I would have volenteered to run one of his campaigncamps, only if he would have ran) COLLIN POWELL (wishing/hoping he would run, but he declined due to personal matters) cause of him I can now know how and why I vote not cause of parties but of the person/experience with foreign as well as home. I don't care of color/ party /religion/sex . .but does that person know how to pull us out of this mess . . that this current President has us in . .by the way his past record . .(almost bankrupt this country in the S&L's scanal, back when he had a seat in state of Texas as Govenor and we took a chance of not one (#1) but two (#2) terms with this man to run/take our country
down . . Now that we are in such a mess with foreign affairs/deficit etc we need someone that knows how to work with some experience . .not someone who has came out of no where . . and think that they can just pick up where the last one left off . . lets face it . .when you are asked for your religion: and you put down Christian . .come on . .what else are you hiding . . when you can't even stand behind your own faith . .I'm not comfortable with that . .if you can try and hide that what else are you hiding . .for some reason you are not up front with us . . So on that note I'm voting for "Hillary Clinton" . . at least she is up front with her religion . .and I know that she can and will do a better job with the mess our country is in Now! Heck we gave Bush a Chance Twice! . . aleast Hillary is liked over seas and she knows how to save/not Spend . .check out Bill during his terms . .while he was in office . .we were in the "BLACK"! ! ! ! ! ! . . NOT RED!!!!!

The Amorphous 'change' premise, so lame and amateurish a political line, who would have thought it's the most effective bait for any sensible, thinking person. But, then, we are talking about group behavior. I guess the simple premise???s chameleon quality enables it to morph into whatever the individual listener's yearns for. Add to it some cues about inequality/injustice between whatever different social groups, and 'voila!' you have a bunch of people jumping up and down, chanting and ready for a revolution. Revolution for what? More importantly, How? They don't know; they're completely mesmerized the part of 'change' specific to themselves and overcome by the atmosphere. Once hysteria is sparked, it spreads like wild fire.
That's the latest, most powerful political strategy - not just tapping into people's emotions through their needs, but their emotional needs. Remember the exit polls for Bush's last election showed that 'moral values' were the most important issue. Stopping abortions and gay marriage was more important than the death of thousands in a war or anything else to them. So, you either invoke the fanatics or invoke the fanatic in people, because intense emotion is the one that keeps people standing determined in line to vote. Clinton needs to catch up on this tactic.
