I am a registered Republican, However, I have second thoughts now about that,. If i was to change parties I would have to vote for Obama, This country needs a fresh change, not old faces, Look at the fiasco Left by the Clintons, No one seems to remember that Bill was empeached but somehow wriggeled his way to stay in offfice, Hillery and her health plan, That was a joke, Made it even qorse then what it was, It is time for a new generation to move into politics, out with the old and in with the new.
What has Hillery Accomplished? she can't keep a straight answere when asked the same question, she is of the good ol boy network, that has failed for many years now,.
It is time to for a new generation to take over as the old has done nothing but make this country the laughing stoke of the world.

I voted for Hillary Clinton in this primary for the first time in many years because I feel we finally have someone that will fight for us the middle income people in the White House. I am a single mother that has struggled because of the problems with the health care system and also many other economic issues that our country is now struggling with. I have watched many of the debates with Obama and Hillary and I finally pinpointed one of the major things that was disconcerning to me and that is that I feel that I am being preached to by Obama. I see by many comments on this board that I am not the only one that feels this way. We need someone that has the experience and the fortitude to follow through with the plans that they have for us as a country. I think that Obama is not ready and it will be a major mistake if he wins the nomination. He talks the talk but I don't think he can walk the walk. He says what the people want to hear because they are so hungry for change that they can't see past the words and look at his inexperience in politics. I voted for Hillary and if she does not make the nomination I will have a hard time voting period because of the choices that will be left to pick from.

Even if Obama wins your vote matters and if you think McCain will help our country then I don't know what to say to you. I admire Obama dreams and his focus and mission to help the lower and middle class. His back ground in Illinois is true he has fought for many things but always against making the richer rich. So rethink your decision please. The polls are clear if Hillary wins the nomination she will not beat Mccain but Obama will win. Let's stay positive and work together to change our country. If he can beat McCain we should support him it is so worth it.

Have you all forgotten she CARPETBAGGED her into the senate? It's all about the PRIZE for Hillary. It always has been. You think 24 years without a president NOT NAMED CLINTON OR BUSH (which is what you'll get if you elect the carpetbagger) is CHANGE?

I have no patience with another JFK kind of president. Let's look at history. The last 2 youngest presidents, Kennedy and Bill Clinton, had horrible begginings. Both men took 2 years to get settled in and figure out how to get the job done. I want immediate fixes from the disaster of Bush. I can't afford to wait 2 years for Obama to figure out how to run a presidency well. How often do we get a chance to elect someone who has lived through it already. Never, this is a great chance to allow Hillary to prove she has the right stuff and learned from Bill's mistakes!

Obama has won 25 of 38 states, including Iowa, Alaska, Utah, Colorado, South Dakota. All those whites were voting against Hillary and not FOR Obama? How silly a proposition is that. Obama is appealing to people because he is a visionary politician, not because of his color, or not being Hillary.

Of coarse Senator Hillary Clinton has a chance. She is good for America.
Iam not sure the "O's" positions are as the first black man with a real chance of winning he should be under critical review not given the pass. Dont worry the republican party will put this too weak on defence too liberal inthe Kennedy mold and too flipfloping under the Kerry,Iwas for the middle class before I was for drivers licences foe illegal aliens so they can drive to the jobs once held by the middle class mold.
Hillary has good answers and wants out of Iraq with honor for to leave our friends there behind is to loose without honor our men will have died in veighn.
Hillary will be good for all of america.
Voet Hillary for a positive good Ameerica strong on defence, compassionate the middle class. She has the beef Obama has the star appeal. Hey Obama wheres the beef ?

Worried Voter- you hear Obama as a well spoken MLK wannabe. It sounds a little racist if you ask me. He is just as well-spoken as his peers. He is energetic, exciting and different. The young, educated people in our country are not bothered by this. We are inspired by the hope Obama offers.

I am convinced if Jesus Christ himself came back today and ran for President he would be shot! Thats the narrow minded level these few, who are in the minority, are vibrating at. It isn't Hillary who has to "catch up", it is US who have to wise up. The epitome of what is going on is this kid who just voted in D.C. and asked why he voted for Obama and he shrugged his shoulders. I think there is too much of that follow the pack mentality.

Hillary has SOLUTIONS, NOT promises of some utopia. She is the bionic woman.

Very COSTLY solutions. Hillary herself said that America can't afford (financially) all of her "solutions". Is that really the kind of President we need?

They say that the White House is broken or that the Government is broken. Well my friends, it is the voters who have voted for those Presidents/Government who have broken anything. Dare I say that yes, they have broken America. Bush has been in office for 2 terms. Some say because of chads or something, but the fact is that America voted him in. Thus, we are where we are today because of the American people. I have nothing to say good or bad about Obama, however, it should be in the American blood that a woman should succeed as President. They have been fighting for their right for how many years? Long before the african Americans came along I believe. It has been the Obama campaign along with the media that have played the race card. It seems everyone is biting on it now. Thus you are going to have the broken Americans voting for whom they think is right based on the media and Obama. I give up here. Maybe Bush is doing the right thing, it seems that the way America and the world are going today, a World War will trim some of the fat. Thereby seeting the tone for those who are rich to be able to rebuild America.

I say vote Huckabee. Don't think about party affiliations. Take a look at the man himself. We need a leader who will truly fight for what he believes in. We need a christian man that makes all of his judgements accordingly. Before your bias enters and you stop reading, hear this. Everyone always talks about learning from the past. Our nation wants to seperate church and state and teach other religions to the children so they grow up without believing in God.
This is a quote from an evolutionist named J.Dunphy in his book titled: A Religion for the New Age.

I am convinced that the battle for humankind???s future must be waged
and won in the public school classroom by teachers who correctly
perceive their role as the proselytizers of a new faith: a religion
of humanity that recognizes and respects the spark of what theologians
call divinity in every human being. These teachers must embody the
same selfless dedication as the most rabid fundamentalist preachers,
for they will be ministers of another sort, utilizing a classroom
instead of a pulpit to convey humanist values in whatever subject
they teach, regardless of the educational level???preschool day care
or large state university. The classroom must and will become an
arena of conflict between the old and the new???the rotting corpse
of Christianity, together with all its adjacent evils and misery,
and the new faith of humanism ??? .

It will undoubtedly be a long, arduous, painful struggle replete
with much sorrow and many tears, but humanism will emerge triumphant.
It must if the family of humankind is to survive.

If we keep pushing God away, He's gonna allow it. A brief look at history from the bible shows us why Isreal was defeated so often. It's that they sinned and turned from God. I don't want that. More than anything, this nation needs a revival. No more seperation of church and state and more bible believing leaders. I say vote Huckabee and pray for revival, even repentance.

He don't look black to me and she is as good as any man. This should not be about Race, Religion, Right or Left wing. It should be about turning this Country Back to God and leaving everyone else alone for a while.

It should become increasingly clear to the Clintons, as it is becoming to the rest of the USA, that Democrats really do not want Hillary and Bill in the White House after all. She is disliked and not trusted by many Democrats.. and the same holds true for Bill. And worse, on the campaign trail Bill seems like a whole different man than the one who was President. He has aged alot, is shrill and angry and seems desperate. Incredibly he has managed to alienate a majority of Blacks, many of whom had probably been planning to vote for Hillary. Both Hillary and McCain are old news, vestiges from the past, living dinosaurs. If Hillary is doing this badly with Democrats, how can she do with Independents and Republicans in a general election? Not very well I'm afraid. The writing is on the wall, and it is obvious to many that Obama is the one who represents and offers the change that so many Americans are demanding today. His rallies are huge, the enthusiuasm is over the top, and he's doing increasingly well in every segment of the US. Hopefully Hillary won't pull some dirty tricks near the convention with Florida delegates, super-delegates and Democratic Party bigwig buddy friends of she and Bill... and again thwart the will of the people as the Republicans and the Supreme Court did in Florida in 2000. If she tries this, then no-one will support her and it will be another total disaster.

    • Posted By: scogos.com @ 02/13/2008 6:21:16 AM

I believe your analysis is very right. From the results of this primary, it is obvious that the majority of voters desire and want Obama and do not want the Clintons again with their scandals and bags of tricks back in the White House. They do not want an ex-President who seduced a 19 yr old intern who was old enough to be his daughter, and furthermore, sexually molested her by sticking a lit cigarette in her private part!!! If you have a teenage daughter, would you like any man to stick a lit cigarette in her private part???? Now, imagine the President of America, the greatest nation in the world doing that and also lying about it!!! Think of the damage to the reputation of America that this has done before the whole world. This man has made America the butt of jokes all over the world. Is this the man you want back in the while house with the wife as the President? I think some Americans are fools, but the majority are wise and know better. Nobody should underestimate the intelligence of Americans. America is not the greatest country in the world because Americans are foolish but because they are the smartest and the most pragmatic people. If Billary tries to manipulate her way to win the nomination by using the super delegates, there would be a very out cry in America and it will not succeed because millions of Americans would not tolerate that injustice and would be out in full force on the streets to protest and there could be serious repercussions for the democrats. It may cause them to lose the election to the GOP! secret33.com/home-based-business-program

I CLinton wins the Obama supporters will rally around Clinton.

I firmly believe both candidates are with exceptional skills to be president of the United State of America. If only I could vote, I would have voted equally both Senators Hillary and Obama. But, this is impossible. I think American people should choose a democrat president this time. Because, a democrat president would be either a black African America (Sen Obama) or a woman (Sen Hillary) either of them are going to be the success of pure democracy in this great country over colour and race or over gender respectively but unfortunately I am not USA citizen to have contributed by my vote. If it is Sen Hillary she would not only be a woman president but she would be a woman and a man who is her husband and an ex USA president where who is one of the greatest he is a hero to many in politics in the world. So would not be alone. Moreover, if it is Sen Obama he is a young American talented personality with huge of energy. Here is my biggest worry is I hope either of them would support promoting democracy in the world especially in middle east and assist wholeheartedly Kurds in Building up their own independent state. Because, I believe that American could make Kurds their permanent friends in the region for the best of both nations. Kurds have long been ignored, oppressed, and inhumanly divided so it would the success of the world democracy if either of them or any American president support and independent Kurdish State.

What is wrong with people in this country? Why does anybody want a president for one, does not say OUR pledge of alleigance and turns his back on OUR flag, and for two, he's not even from the USA? Isn't he a Muslim. Ain't that what the people are in Iraq that at war with. You know the ones that killed all of our people in NYC! And if all of this true, who in their right mind would want a person like that to run OUR country?
Would someone please answer these questions?

Ignorance and patriotism combined is a terrible mix. To me patriotism is something that has to be coupled with knowledge about the country you claim to love. If you don't know anything at all about it, you can't possibly be a patriot. The poster of this drivel is clearly not a patriot, and his or her ignorance should really disqualify him from voting.

Hey, newsflash: You can not run for president of the USA if you were not born in the USA,

    • Posted By: terjeber @ 02/13/2008 5:53:33 PM

The scary part of this is that the person who wrote this drivel is actually allowed to vote. I mean, shouldn't there be a minimum requirement for being allowed to vote? You know, like having a brain in the first place?

If you don't know that someone who is foreign born can not run for president in this country, you are just an ignorant hick, and talking about patriotism while demonstrating such MASSIVE ignorance is just REALLY dumb. Someone who doesn't even know what is required to run for president in the US should never talk about patriotism. You have PROVEN your lack of patriotism by DEMONSTRATING that you don't know ANYTHING about the country you claim to be patriotic about. It is sad, sad, sad that you are allowed to vote and able to procreate.

    • Posted By: Joe Blow @ 02/13/2008 5:20:29 PM

I don't tell people how to demonstrate their patriotism, and neither should you. Did you put your hand on your heart when the National Anthem was sang at the Super Bowl? But you were home? So what!

Telling people how to demonstrate their patriotism is the irony of ironies, because in America one is allowed to express his or her beliefs in any manner. The fact that you want to make issue of this shows the antithesis of the American way.

In the end, it's just the right's rhetoric against the other side. Judge Obama on the issues, but something tells me you wouldn't vote for him anyway.

He and his wife have been active in their parish for 20 years. No, he doesn't turn his back on the flag -- I've watched him salute it personally, so I know how utterly silly that is. Yes, he was born a U.S. citizen -- he couldn't be running if he hadn't been. -- What's wrong that u don't know that.

Hillary is tried and tested and she FAILED. I'm sure she has a plan, she just didn't vet it with anyone, so its stinks like her other plans. Universal healthcare, she failed. Fundraising debacle, she lied and failed. Whitewater bank and real estate scandal - she lied, made a ton of money, let her friends (The McDougal's) go to jail, and failed. She is so deceitful she can't ask for water when thirsty.

sorry you feel that way, but your wrong . in fact she is the first one to even try for universal health care. more over ken starr spent about 150 million of our tax dollars to investigate her and found nothing zero. you think the repulicans would be all over her in a second. moreover the reason they(reps) hate her so much is becaue they dont have anything on her and she keeps STANDING TALL

Hillary's and Barack's positions are very similar. As a democrat I focus my attention on who can cross party lines, and actually get things done in Washington. My feeling is that Clinton will end up being stonewalled by republicans, just like bush has been stonewalled by democrats. More divisive governing is not what is needed. I also focus on how the world will view America's new leader. Although having a woman president would be new, it would not generate as much positive good will in the rest of the world simply because of who Clinton is. Namely, a Clinton! Obama on the otherhand, would no doubt be perceived as a real difference, and one that may be best able to raise the opinions foreigners have of us. As far as people who say that Obama having had some contact with the muslim world is a negative thing, I see it as a very positive one. We need some perspective, some acknowledgement that we are all human beings. Perhaps then we can settle some of our differences, or in the worse case scenerio, we can better defend our selves through better understanding of who our enemy really is.

I largely agree with you but Obama's real hurdle isn't ties to Islam but ties to hate speech. The leader of Obama's church call Farrakan one of the most important leaders of the 20th century, and praised his good work. Farrakan in turn praised Hitler for his effectiveness in killing jews. To imagine that this will be ignored is sheer folly. Once these issues are more closely examined you can kiss a democratic presidency goodbye.

Wow, I think if you keep going you might be able to tie Obama to Kevin Bacon. Please, Hillary can be tied to much more tangible scandals than that. Mark Rich ring a bell, anyone?

        • Posted By: Wa Dem @ 02/13/2008 2:44:20 PM

Alright let me simplify, Obama is a 20 year member of Trinity Church. Rev. Wright performed his marriage, baptized his children and to this day (in Baraks own words according to Chicago Tribune)

Wright helps keep his priorities straight and his moral compass calibrated.

This being the Wright that praises Farrakan and plays golf with Kevin Bacon. It may be difficult for you to follow the connections but I expect that voters in the general will have less trouble.

Ha, well done. But, Obama being good friends with some one who made an unsavory speech is kittens compared to Bill's indefensible 11th hour pardon of Mark Rich, a man who, according to Time magazine was "indicted for evading more than $48 million in taxes, and charged with 51 counts of tax fraud, as well as running illegal oil deals with Iran during the 1979-1980 hostage crisis".

Touche, but again you miss the point. In the present climate of fear and suspicion, do last minute pardons, even questionable ones really trump the perception of alliances with "the other" which in this case is anti american islamists. Fair or not the suggestion will be made, and McCain will win.

It's been nice chatting, enjoy your day.

Well, in all honesty, you might be right. I just hope for the sake of this country that fear and suspicion is not what rules our minds, otherwise we are all doomed. But I don't think Obama would have made it this far if that were true.

I'm telling both of ya'll that his ties to his nasty filthy Rev. hurt him plenty, but the MOHAMMED issue is just getting started. The man is at very best a MUSLIM SYMPATHIZER, and no real American will stand for it.

                  • Posted By: radagast_23 @ 02/13/2008 5:56:25 PM

*sigh* Barack Obama is not a Muslim, or a Muslim sympathizer -- you people just don't stop when those of us who are Christians from the OTHER side of the political fence fight back, do you? Barack Obama is United Church of Christ. All of the claims you are making have been thoroughly debunked by Snopes (see http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/muslim.asp ). It debunks the rumor one piece at a time.

Bill Clinton is Hillary's husband, in case you missed the connection. And I think he played golf with Kevin Bacon too.

I repeat, just because you say it that doesn't make it so. I would suggest you read a news paper, watch the news, subscribe to a weekly etc. You are in need of enlightenment.
