I disagree that Obama can win the general election. McCain will get more Dem. crossover votes since Reagan. HOWEVER, I find it disgraceful and embarasing that they give an Ismamic sympathizer any positive press. For all Hillary is or is not, I have no doubt she loves our country. I'm not so sure that this is true with Hussein Obama.

We seem to have a very large number of just plain idiots in our country. And the vast majority would do almost anything for this man. He is an associate with people that want you dead. Wake up people. It appears that excessive YouTube causes mental retardation.

Wow, are blaming Obama for the name "his" parents gave him?? Wow, can you imagine all the strange, different names out hear in America. Have you learn nothing from the past bigotry. Shame on YOU! It's not his fault about his name. Besides, Obama's father left his "white mother" when he was two years old. also, Obama's father earned his PHd in america.

Media has not been truthfull even in analysing the poll result. THEY SHOULD HAVE TOLD US WHAT PERCENTAGE OF AFRICAN AMERICAN DEMOCRATS TURNED UP AT THE POLL COMPARED TO REGISTERED WHITE DEMOCRATS. Instead they gave a simple number that 90% blacks voted for Obama. The first analysis will actually show how people are motivated on the basis of race. Playing in darkness will not help democrats in the general election.

    from a blogger,
If Obama got elected I will cross party line and vote for republican. I know my vote only count as one, but at least I fight for my principle. African-Americans support Obama base of skin color. As all my colored co-workers said ???we will vote for Obama because he is our brother ragardless he can handle the White House or not. It our time to take over the White house. This is not a fight between the White House. This is about American people and our country and Comment by venni that America will be a safer if Obama get elected. Venni wake up and smell the coffee. May be you are delirious

Another big endorsement from Tedd Kennedy. About this gentlemen we have another story; Because his two famous brothers, John and Bobby, Tedd has inherited a huge "endorsement" from the early brothers. All my respect and consideration for them... both !! But after my recollection , long time ago Tedd "suffered" a lot of "embarrassment during the FBI investigation, regarding the "disappearing" of a young lady standing beside him. I don't know too many things about the epilogue, but I remember, a girl just disappeared in a peculiar way and in a... fogy environment . And I can tell you something for sure; The Massachusetts people just dismissed KENNEDY ENDORSEMENT...Beware to endorsement !!!...

    • Posted By: Cliff n WA @ 02/15/2008 10:53:11 AM

The lady drowned in a car accident. The scandal resulted in covering up the cause. The implication was Kennedy was driving drunk, but we will never know.

The clinton name is a household name.It is a name that still garners respect in many places around the world. When I think of this name I'm usually thinking of bill clinton because he was once our commander-in-chief.Rarely do I think of hillary clinton in this equation. What I find most troubling in this campaign is many people are assumming that mrs clinton being the wife of an ex president is her self ready to take the rains of this office just by association with her husband.Mrs clinton throughout a number (35 years of experience) early on inthis campaign. When I first heard that number my eyebrows went up.Why? simple ,because no amount of experience whether a presidents wife, lawyer, doctor ,govennor or rodeo rider can prepare you for this all consumming and higly demanding job?

When I hear the name Clinton, all that pops up in my mind is NAFTA, outsourcing, scandals, Monica, Cigar.....etc.

Also, Hillary is no more experienced for being a president's wife either.

      • Posted By: lamm01 @ 02/15/2008 9:37:51 AM

Can your comment be any more ridiculous... NAFTA? Obama supported both the ratification and resolution for extension. Monica? Is Obama so clean? Quite frankly, after being exposed to his wife, I would say there's a definite possibility he's got something or someone on the side. Are you so clean? For people like you who only revert to old faults and blatant criticisms, you obviously have nothing relevent to today to say.... So, why don't you do us all a favot and not say anything at all....

Hillary wins New Mexico and it's not even a blip on the radar screen. Obama shows up in Texas wearing an appropriate black hat and it's front and center. Can you guys get any more ridiculous than you are?

OBAMA HAS TO push the WAR ISSUE IN TEXAS AN OHIO. HE HAS TO MAKE IT CLEAR THAT HIS plan will save BILLIONS for taxpayers. THIS MONEY IS NEEDED QUICKLY IN OHIO in order to get individuals back to work. Many of them lost their jobs as a result of the FREE TRADE AGREEMENT HILLARY VOTED FOR.

AS A RESULT 93,000 people in the state are living WITHOUT unemployment benefits, God and guns can't compete with economic issues. THIS IS WHY ALL THE UNIONS ARE supporting OBAMA
OBAMA VOTED AGAINST THE AGREEMENT AND HAS BEEN AN ADVOCATE FOR KEEpING JOBS HERE AT HOME.

REMEMBER KARL ROVE CLEVERLY SLIppED IN GAY MARRIAGE ON THE OHIO BALLOT in 2004. AS a

RESULT BUSH WON NARROWLY OVER KERRY. THIS TIME ECONOMICS WILL BE THE NUMBER ONE ISSUE IN OHIO AND TEXAS.
THE WAR AND THE ECONOMY ARE DIRECTLY LINKED.

THERE IS NO WAY ONE CAN FUND THE WAR AND HEALTH CARE. OBAMA's HEALTH plan has a BETTER chance to pass CONGRESS AND THE SENATE. HILLARY IS TO DIVISIVE AND the REpUBLICANS WILL BLOCK HER "big" AGENDA ISSUES as they did in ninety four.
WILL TEXAS AND OHIO SHOW THE WORLD THAT CALIFORNIA AND NEW YORK NO LONGER DECIDE WHO THE NOMINEE WILL BE.

CAN IT BE THAT DEMOCRACY STILL WORKS? IF OBAMA WINS IT WILL show the world that the majority of the AMERICAN people of all STATES, big and small, DECIDE WHO WILL BE THE NOMINEE OF THE DEMOCRATIC party.
THIS ALSO SETS A GOOD EXAMple for THE WORLD and a BIG REASON HILLARY WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MAKE A COMEBACK IF SHE LOSES THESE STATES. THE MUTINY OF SUper DELEGATES FROM THE HILLARY CAMp has already begun in Wisconsin. IF SHE LOSES TEXAS AND OHIO more will follow.

    HILLARY'S LAST STAND
    in OHIO and TEXAS

THERE IS NO DOUBT THAT HILLARY"S CAMpaign in TEXAS AND OHIO WILL BE DESperate. THE MESSAGE HAS BEEN SENT THAT SHE MUST WIN THESE STATES. IT is her LAST STAND.
JUST like the famous battle of thermopylae in 480 BC HILLARY IS MAKING HER LAST STAND.
HILLARY AND HER ARMY OF LATINO'S HOpe to SWEEp TEXAS AND OHIO.
OBAMA CANNOT COMpete with her desperate grass roots campaign.
SO HE HAS TO WIN THE BATTLE IN THE MEDIA.
HE HAS TO BLITZ TEXAS WITH COMMERICIALS AND HUGE STATIUM LIKE RALLY's.
OBAMA HAS TO WELL in THESE STATES and at least win one.
WILL TEXAS AND OHIO SEND A MESSAGE TO THE WORLD THAT CALIFORNIA AND NEW YORK NO LONGER DECIDE WHO THE NOMINEE WILL BE.
THIS WILL BE VERY HISTORIC AND is a SIGN OF THAT EVERY STATE COUNTS.
HILLARY MADE A BIG MISTAKE NOT FIGHTING IN WISCONSIN.

The man for change failed to vote yes or no on 129 bills presented before him during his time in the Illinois senate. He just voted "present". How can you effect change if you don't have the guts to make a call? I read that his father was a goat herder in Kenya. It seems Obama has inherited his dad's ability to lead the sheep.

Comment: I am writing to just informally share my thoughts about the Primary and General Elections, and pass on some important things to think about and consider. I would like America to have its first African-American elected for the Oval Office as President of the United States. Senator Barack Obama is truly a brilliant man, great speaker, leader, and I believe he would be a great Commander-in-Chief. However, just stop for a minute and imagine the following theory: There are four unofficial groups of people voting for Senator Barack Obama:
    1. The people that are voting for him simply because he is African-American.
    2. Mostly white men and other people who do not want a woman as Commander-in-Chief.
    3. Those voters that have much dislike for the Clintons and don???t want them to return to the White House.
    4. The voters who have the strategy of voting for Obama to get the nomination, but will turn on him in the General Election, banking on a republican victory, because they know none of the republicans can beat Mrs Clinton, therefore avoiding the risk of a defeat by her.
Now if the American people who are true Democrats will just grasp the idea of what???s really happening, it would be easy to understand that there are groups of people that do not want a black president, but voting for him now, with the intention of not voting for Sen. Obama in November 2008. There is a lot we are not paying attention to, or really thinking about. Senator Obama won a large group of states in the mid-west during the primaries. Let???s take for instance ???Iowa???. He beat Senator Clinton by a large margin in a state that only has 2% African-Americans. Other states like Kansas, Maine, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, Utah, and Idaho also have a very small minority population. Most recently, the Senator won the Potomac states and Wash, DC. In the ???red??? state of Virginia, Obama received over 50% of the white male vote, which will unfortunately go to McCain in the General. Do you really think the citizens in these states, that are predominantly "republican", are committed to the idea of change in this way, that they will support Obama in the General? Not! Giving these examples, if everyone is voting for Obama to get the nomination, it is my personal opinion that many white voters from the above mentioned states are conspiring to set the Senator up for a lost against the Republican nominee. People will get to the polls behind the curtain and say, do I really want a black man for President? Based on this, they will vote for the other party, and we will again have a Republican President. We should not be fooled by this. You do the math!

    • Posted By: Cliff n WA @ 02/14/2008 6:48:03 PM

You have explained republican motives for Obama. Your responder speaks about democratic loyalties and priorities within the party.. So the far wings of both parties are out in force? Explains the roar!

      • Posted By: VOTING4OBAMA @ 02/14/2008 8:07:00 PM

Are you an idiot?? That could not be further from the truth. Do you really think so many many many "young and new" voters black and white would come out and vote for Barack only to turn on him in November? Get a clue. You are apparently one of the few rascist in the country who does not want an african american president who will be right and ready on day one. You have it all wrong.

    • Posted By: AuthenticSpirit @ 02/14/2008 3:04:10 PM

WELL SAID but I disagree with ONE thing: the complete opposite view in that there is a group of people voting for Clinton who will turn against HER in November 2008 banking on a republican win. That view is the most dominate conversation in Los Angeles and Hollywood among other politicians, entertainment and in ethnic communities (all of which I am connected to). I found it amusing you switched it around to be Obama. The man I work for is a HUGE and I mean HUGE Hillary supporter and has poured thousands toward her cause. I too was a Hillary supporter until Ocotober last year for a number of reasons..primarily for what came out or her mouth. I still like her for all the "right" reasons, I just dont agree with her "current politics" or trust her to do the job at hand. That said, the man I work for was SOLID in his support for Hillary to say the VERY least. Then out of the blue seemingly, he dropped Hillary in January. A big dialogue came about that if Hillary was the party choice she was GUARANTEED to lose to ANY on the republican ticket. What was interesting was that CNN and MSN also had similar discussion and intelligent debate about the exact same thing saying that Hillary was the one of the two that did not have a chance in a final show down, therefore, supporters were bailing to go to Obama for that reason alone: to not have a republican in the White House...AGAIN. Just know that I do like what you have writtern and hear you crystal clear and agree with most...just be careful to assume that it is Obama and not Hillary, in the weaker position for the UFC in November.

  • Posted By: rupa52 @ 02/14/2008 5:09:38 PM

Comment: As a strong Hillary supporter, i wonder how people can get carried away with oratorey and not substance. Regarding all the white upscale men who are voting for Obama-they are just being MCP, who think women should be at thier beck and call and cannot imagine that an advanced country like US can have a woman as CinC. What about all the third world countries who have had women as presidents and leaders.. Wake up

    • Posted By: Carthage @ 02/14/2008 7:34:55 PM

Let's talk "substance" - and please tell me how your candidate voted for a WAR without reading the 95-page classified (no staffer could read it) Nat. Intelligence Estimate? Vetted? Please tell me why she feels we are not entitled to an informed vote and refuses to disclose financials until AFTER the nomination. Leadership? please tell me who will follow her - a fired-up GOP who cannot get re-elected at home if they give a Clinton an inch? And the way she managed her campaign, shielded from reality by a cocoon of "trusted advisors" - and now she wants to do to the country what she did to her largely inherited campaign - name recognition, establishment support, staff etc etc

  • Posted By: Carthage @ 02/14/2008 7:27:16 PM

It's interesting how the candidate claiming to be "vetted "and "ready from day one" is doing today. Vetted - then why does she refuse to disclose financials until AFTER she's nominated?! Should we not vet her. and are we not entitled to an informed decision? Ready? She wants to do to the country what she did to her campaign? She mostly inherited a ready-made campaign, with name recognition, staff and establishment support, but she spent it in a cocoon of trusted advisors, far from the "real" reality (and we've seen where that lead us, these last few years), and managed to almost run it into the ground. She did not anticipate a protracted fight, not anticipate the power of inspiration, not anticipate that her war vote could hurt her, not anticipate that smaller states could matter.... What would she do if Iran or Korea do not act as she anticipated?!
