    Seems you dont want to see a woman president either. One that has more know how and experience with our country. Dont tell me about raciest. This is a racial race. Blacks voting for their own and white males not wanting a woman president.Now what does that sound like to you? I believe to vote for the most experience and know how,and thats Hillary.

    You are an Idiot. If you actually go to the Snopes page and read the page it proves that you are an Idiot.

    Hillary's campaing is definately NOT promoting any type of abuse as stated by "dump the kool-aid " that has nothing to do with this topic, unfourtunately there are many people who focus on the visual cues, or things that have nothing to do with the campaign. When Hillary speaks, she speaks about the issues,and problems she sees. In addition she states what measures and strategies she will emplore to fix these problems. Focus on the issues not the problems with her marriege past or future. If you look at that then you might as well point out all the other flaws of all the previous president and their skirt chasing ways. That is a private issue that does not affect the political issues. I hope you are not voting!

    I've voted democrat all my life, but if Obama gets the nominamtion I'll be voting, and even campaigning, republican for the presidential election. The guy is all charm and no substance. I've heard people say he's done wonderful things, but no one can prove it to me. I've done my research. Most of the things being creditted to Obama are things that he was associated with, but not that he did by himself. I don't care about his race or his religion. I care about who can get this country off it's knees! He can't, he won't, and I am not going to stand by as a nother ineffectual president gets elected because he's popular. Guess what people...George W was really popular too. Don't make the same mistake three times in a row! Vote for the canidate that will actually help this country!

    Ever since (around 2005/6) the so called 2008 Presidential Candidates were lining up; we could see the trouble brewing. Neither of the parties had one good solid candidate that would be backed solid.
    The democrats had a woman and an afro-American both of whom have no command in the US;
    >when all most all the Nations had given the voting rights to women US was did not;
    >and again to many folks an afro-American to become a President is a ?????????.;

    The republicans have another problem; they have one who supports the war and another who came in late to the fray and no one knows much of him;\

    What a pity ???

    Obama, Obama, Obama.. GET OVER IT AMERICA!! I would like to know how being articulate is going to help Obama beat the Republicans? This is all a ploy to get Republicans back in office. Do you really think those red states are going to vote for a black man over McCain?! Even hardcore Democrats on this forum are vowing to vote for the veteran over the well-spoken guy who has nothing to show for himself. At least McCain risked his life for this country! I have nothing against Obama, he has great ideas and has the capacity to fill people with hope, but he does not have the experience or even realistic plans to back up his propositions. I will vote for him after Hillary's second term, but for now he is way too wet behind the ears. Don't let the Presidency go to the Republicans again! Obama is not ready, Hillary is!! Stop masquerading your sexism and actually come up with valid reasons for your hate towards Hillary, think about it and you'll realize this polarization is completely unfounded. The only thing she ever did was try to educate herself and train to bring this country back to order.

    forgetmenot3014: I think you're the one that needs to do your research. snopes.com even classifies all the BS about Obama as an urban legend. People should be basing their votes off of facts and not the nonsensical ramblings they find on the internet. And to assume that Obama gets the young vote simply because he is black is just ridiculous. Perhaps it is because he is intelligent and well spoken. Or perhaps it is because they are not fooled by Hillary's rhetoric and political double speak. Either way you really should get your facts straight before spreading such slanderous crap!

    The thing that gets me about this election is that people who have NEVER VOTED BEFORE IN THEIR LIVES are now registering to vote just because Obama is "black." They don't stop for two seconds to look at what he has actually got planned. Look at Obama when debating next to Hillary--he stumbles and falls because he knows his offerings to this country are WEAK in comparison. This election, unfortunately, has NOTHING yet EVERYTHING to do with race and gender. And, so what if the debate has been run into the ground that Hillary has more experience--she DOES! If you had to have open heart surgery, you would feel much more comfortable with a surgeon who has years and years of experience as opposed to a surgeon fresh out of med school. Putting our children/health/lives/futures in the hands of an inexperienced politician is no different.

    I keep wondering how Hillary will be able to confront national issues with all the strenght and forthrightness it requires. If her voice keep cracking at any little sight of electoral defeat and her face keep watering at the sense of an impending lose, i can imagine how her composure will be when finally Barrack gets the nod.

    oh and there's also that good old Clinton's experience in working on failed health care plans. And let's be clear Clinton's health care proposals would have benefit rich corporate HMO's more than anyone else. You gotta love that good old aid the wealthy experience that Clinton brings to the table. Can I have more, sir?

    What is wrong with this world? Is everyone blind? Oboma is a pathetic liar, he claims his black side but doesn't claim his white side, he is 50 percent white and 50 black so that means me is mixed. How can you vote for a man who does not even know who he is? Also who cares if he goes to church, I was raised in the church and see tons of people leaving church and smoking crack and beating thier wives and children. Wake up America! H.C for president!

    • Posted By: phal4875 @ 02/13/2008 5:39:59 PM

      Dear TruthTeller9000,

      Your implication is that Obama (check your spelling of his name, please) could be smoking crack and beating his wife, even though he goes to church. I assume you make the equivalent argument for Hillary Clinton since she also attends church.

      The history of the United States has clearly been one of calling anyone who has African or Caribbean ancestry ???black.??? That is the decision of white America. Senator Obama is considered black by this nation because he is half black. He would be considered such if he were one-eighth black because humans love to categorize others as somehow less than themselves. ???Different??? comes to mean ???less.???

      You fault Obama for not claiming his white side when, in fact, he has spoken very proudly of his white Kansas mother and her many academic accomplishments.

      Last time I checked, the color of a mans skin has nothing to do with who he is, or who he is not.

      You see color - most of us don't. He subscribes to whatever culture/subculture he chooses, just like you.

    I don't hear a lot of talk about who can win in November. It is great being a part of history, seeing two such dominant candidates, both members of minority groups with real chances at becoming president but realistically, I have to vote for Obama for the win factor. McCain isn't another 4 years of Bush. He'll make Bush look like a picnic. Clinton is too devisive. Whether or not that is deserved, Obama has made history and set records in the numbers of independents and Republicans that have signed onto his campaign. If it were a perfect world we'd be a multi-lingual, super-green, small government that paid for health care, college and your first house. But the reality is, you want that you need to move to France or Copenhagen . . . you want a win, you need to vote Obama.

    Here's a woman that really cares about America. She has not and will not give up! All of the women haters out there need to realize we are stronger than you think! I wish women would get more credit, but because of religious believes or just plain prejudice beliefs we are always going to pass judgement. It's very sad when in my in my opinion, we are not much different than countries that don't respect women. All of you men out there need to realize that it took a women to bring you into this world and have a little respect- even if you're mother was a ***- She had a right to to be, because you're a son of a-

    Worried Voter- you hear Obama as a well spoken MLK wannabe. It sounds a little racist if you ask me. He is just as well-spoken as his peers. He is energetic, exciting and different. The young, EDUCATED people in our country are not bothered by this. We are inspired by the hope Obama offers and not concerned people are playing the race card.

    African American Males were allowed to Vote BEFORE White Women! there is a good chance that we might Have a African American President before we have a Woman President!

    The toughest challenge for the Clinton campaign still lies ahead, however: Finding a way to blame her loss on Bush. In the meantime, hopefully Pakistan won't launch a preemptive strike on the US.

    All i can do is laugh at all these Obama haters. Sounds like there are alot of bitter people on this board. Thank goodness you are in the minority with your petty rants and character attacks. Soon, this country will move forward with a new majority of progressive Americans with or without you. This election is about the past vs. the future! Keep it up Obama, you have my support 100%!

    I am a 27 year old white male. I'm a working class guy, and I'm tired of the creeping feeling I have that "insiders" in Washington, (I know. Very general, but I have to go to work...brevity people, brevity!), have been screwing with my money and screwing me over with this tremendous debt we all have to face. Senator Clinton is an insider. I need a change. Fresh ideas. Go Obama!
