All i can do is laugh at all these Obama haters. Sounds like there are alot of bitter people on this board. Thank goodness you are in the minority with your petty rants and character attacks. Soon, this country will move forward with a new majority of progressive Americans with or without you. This election is about the past vs. the future! Keep it up Obama, you have my support 100%!

I agree with the comment by forgetmenot, we do not want our country run by a Moslem, especially after they distroyed the twin towers and murdered so many innocent people. Also, did we all forget when Bill was in? This country ran better than it ever did before, I see another super success story with Hillery and bill back in control. As for Republicans, FORGET THEM! They don't do anything for the poor or the middle class except rob them blind and take advantage of them.

Hillary is a part of the political engine that has led our country down the wrong road. She is tried and tested and she has failed. She had her chance in the White House, her first health care plan failed because she knows nothing about change management, only bullying. There was also the illegal fundraising debacle. Hillary front and center. Let us remember Whitewater, the banking and real estate scandals of the Clinton's and their friends, the McDougals, that went to jail. She may as well be Bush in a ladies pant suit.

The young voters should do some research before they vote They want to vote for Obama because he is black and we have never had a black person in the whitehouse. BUT read.....
Go to www.snopes.com and find out more about Barack HUSSEIN Obama. They will have something to think about.

      To forgetmenot3014@adelphia.net:
Since when does a person's middle name equate to their qualifications to be president? You preach about reading up on facts to vote responsibly yet then base your own opinion on a middle name? You, my friend, need to look up the definition of hypocrisy.

I voted for Hillary Clinton in this primary for the first time in many years because I feel we finally have someone that will fight for us the middle income people in the White House. I am a single mother that has struggled because of the problems with the health care system and also many other economic issues that our country is now struggling with. I have watched many of the debates with Obama and Hillary and I finally pinpointed one of the major things that was disconcerning to me and that is that I feel that I am being preached to by Obama. I see by many comments on this board that I am not the only one that feels this way. We need someone that has the experience and the fortitude to follow through with the plans that they have for us as a country. I think that Obama is not ready and it will be a major mistake if he wins the nomination. He talks the talk but I don't think he can walk the walk. He says what the people want to hear because they are so hungry for change that they can't see past the words and look at his inexperience in politics. I voted for Hillary and if she does not make the nomination I will have a hard time voting period because of the choices that will be left to pick from.

All the Obama HATING needs to just stop; I mean seriously, you're embarassing yourselves. The bottom line is they're both GREAT candidates and if either one of them becomes president, it will be a great day in American history and a great four years to come. Both Hilary and Barack have excellent ideas about how to shape this country and turn things around. They both want to acheive the same thing but in different ways. All this hate on a personal level is ridiculous. NONE OF YOU even know these people like that. Yes, Obama's speeches tend to be rhetorical everytime we hear him....why? BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES DO. THEY REPEAT, REPEAT, AND REPEAT AGAIN WHERE THEY STAND. Duh!!!!! Re-iterating where you stand over and over does not take the meaning, the passion, or the good intent away from it. Additionally, this whole "experience" trip that the Clinton people and supporters are on is a political CRUCH! What else besides expereience do you have to offer as a candidate? PLENTY! So I wish people stop using this to make voters think she's the best candidate just because she's been in Washington since the stone age. My view is, YOU DON'T HAVE EXPERIENCE FOR THE PRESIDENCY UNLESS YOU'VE BEEN THE PRESIDENT! So SAVE IT! Let's stop these personal attacks and name-calling and focus on who you think would actually uphold their promises when he/she gets in office. PERIOD.

Cliff n WA, 100% agree with you. We're forgetting competencies and experience needed to handle all the tough issues. Obama has the momentum, passion and charm, but I doubt he has the ability to put his word into action. He reminds me of the ambitious child who thinks he can conquer the world...Nothing wrong with ambition or dream, it's just right now we don't need another Bush succeeding the white house. We need someone practical, clever, and knows how to get her way around.

I keep wondering how Hillary will be able to confront national issues with all the strenght and forthrightness it requires. If her voice keep cracking at any little sight of electoral defeat and her face keep watering at the sense of an impending lose, i can imagine how her composure will be when finally Barrack gets the nod.

The scenario is: Clinton/Obama=win/win, making history with a real change; Obama/Not Clinton=lose/lose without making history, or change. If Senator Obama wins the nomination, most likely, he will not choose Hillary Clinton as his running-mate. He will be advised not to do so because of the Clinton???s past reputation of personal baggage that would otherwise be no one else???s concern. They lead the country well, despite the negative publicity about their personal life, which has nothing to do with the other. The Clintons are brilliant people and I don???t remember our African-American communities complaining then, especially when the economy was so much better. Now some of us are turning on them simply because Obama is running for the presidency, knowing they would more than happily vote for her otherwise. I don???t understand why a lot of the African-American community has turn there backs on the Clintons. They were not our enemies then, and they shouldn???t be now. I can say with confidence that if Hillary Clinton gets the nomination, she will chose Obama as her running-mate, and they will be unstoppable against the republicans, and will win in the end, for sure. There are also four unofficial groups of people voting for Mrs Clinton:
    1. Those people wanting to vote for the first female Commander-in-Chief.
    2. The people that have been loyal voters for the Clintons
    3. The people that want a Democrat, but not Obama or any minority for president..
    4. The people that want real change (Clinton/Obama 2008)
Keep in mind that Hillary Clinton, will get the White, Black, and Hispanic votes, without agendas, or conspiracies. Without a Democrat in the country???s top job, our country will be in even worse shape to come. While I am hope that you pass this on, the ultimate history to be made is in the making for our country to have the first woman/former first lady for President of the United States, and the first African-American Vice President. Why not? After all, television and radio stations are contributing influence on what people will decide in November 08.

WE CAN'T WISH FOR HOPE. THERE'S NO HOPING ABOUT THE FUTURE. WE NEED SOMEONE WHO CAN PUT PLANS INTO ACTION, READY ON DAY 1, AND HELD ACCOUNTABLE. MR. BARRACK HAS NO EXPERIENCE. GO ON AN INTERVIEW WITH NO EXPERIENCE, AND TELL THE PERSPECTIVE EMPLOYER WHAT YOU WISH TO HOPE YOU CAN DO. SORRY FELLOWS. WE NEED HILLARY. END OF STORY.

    • Posted By: dallas3 @ 02/13/2008 5:35:25 PM

I wonder how you would have felt on your first interview for your first job and the job told you that you aren't qualified because you have no experience. You wouldn't have a job today, now would you. We all have to start somewhere. Obama started in the Senate and now he's attempting to move up in the company. it's that simple. You people are making big deals out of nothing. Look at this country. All these experienced presidents thus far and we are still living in a shithole of a country. unemployment at an all time high, recession, lack-luster educational system.......the list goes on and on. So, it's safe to assume that it's time for a CHANGE!!!! OBAMA 08 - YES WE CAN!!!!

The African-American community is a very tolerant, mostly anti-bigotry and very inviting to all people. The Democratic Party has always taken the votes of that community for granted, especially the Clintons. The Clintons benefited extremely from the love, loyalty and support the African-American electorate; especially from African-American politicians. The Clintons were the first to dig deep into the filthy side of racial politics with their insidious racial polemics during this presidential primary. They are very much attuned to the sensibilities of the African-American community and the past attitudes of pre civil rights America. HRC gave most of the credit for civil right changes in the U.S to LBJ without any acknowledgement of the hard fought street battles of a historical giant such as Dr. Martin Luther King and so many other civil right pioneers. Such statement from a very intelligent mind such as HRC was very disrespectful but above all, was a calculated racial bait intended to trip up Obama. But Obama threaded very lightly when he was questioned about HRC???s racial bait; he mostly avoided falling into that silly and very disgusting racial trap. Unfortunately, Bill mistook Obama???s innocuous response as a green light to transform himself into a subtle yet ferocious racial attack dog. When HRC???s campaign unleashed pit bull Bill upon Obama???s legitimate campaign efforts, the smart and very alert African-American community saw his racial bites upon Obama. Naturally, as with most other fair minded American communities, we felt sorry for Obama, (the same way as when the fierce attack from the right rained down on Bill when he was in office) and started to take a second look at Obama. That second look became beneficial for Obama because many saw that he can be a viable alternative to HRC, especially with that Iowa win. Thus, if the Clintons had run a non racial based campaign against Obama, they would have mostly split the African- American vote. Although, most people including African- Americans like a winner, eventually a greater percentage would slowly gravitate towards the better ran campaign.

I like Hillary, I think it is time we had some one good in the white house, she has the experience and well work hard for the USA.
Obama does not have experience, and why should we have someone can't even so the flag respect. I saw a picture and article said OBAMA NOT ONLY REFUSED TO PUT HIS HAND OVER HIS HEART DURING THE PLEDGE BUT ALSO REFUSED TO SAY THE PLEDGE. I am stunned that a possible President would refuse something so important , After I found this out I would never vote for him. I want someone who has the respect for our Country and our Flag. WHERE IS HIS PATRIOTISM?

  • Posted By: Laurend2 @ 02/13/2008 5:34:39 PM

I get very scared when I think about Barack Obama possibly winning the Democratic nomination. Americans, as a whole, know very little about this man and what he stands for. The extent I know of him is playing himself on SNL, dancing on the Ellen DeGeneres show, and Oprah stumping for him in Chicago. He does not have a proven record of doing what he says. We know virtually nothing about him. He reminds me very much of Bush, Jr. It was all head nodding and promises until he got his foot in the office; what he did to America and our economy after he came into power is reprehensible. Many people do not like Hillary, but not for the strong, truthful, and moral leader she is and will be -- rather, they dislike her because: a) she is attempting to undertake a role not typically ascribed to wives and mothers; and b) because of her husband's infidelities.

If Barack secures the Democratic nom, I will be forced -- for the first time in my life -- to vote Republican. Or move to Canada. And I'm not kidding.

We DO NOT KNOW who this man is.

All of the candidates are awful, and this election is about who will do the least amount of damage. My choice is McCain with a Democratic controlled congress to keep him in check.

The things that scares me about Bareback Obama is that he's never held a job. He's done a little law practice for wealthy friends and has filed civil rights lawsuits, but never had a real job or been at risk of a layoff. As long as there is a GOP controlled congress to keep him in check, the damage that Obama can do will be limited, but if it's a similar situation to Bush years where Congress was Bush's rubber stamp then we're in trouble.

"Bareback" is sure to raise taxes and try to build a large healthcare infrastructure that will be a big mess, if he is allowed to do so. We can't afford him unless he is kept in check.

  • Posted By: MaxinMaryland @ 02/13/2008 5:34:06 PM

Although I believe McCain would make an excellent Commander-in-Chief if our country was ever attacked, I also believe that it is less likely that our country will be attacked if Obama is the President -- which is why, as a solid life-long Republican, Barack gets my vote!

The last time Americans voted for a slick well oiled marketing machine they got Bush in office & then they did it again! This time the marketing machine is brought to us by OBAMA ! How & why do we believe in his speeches of hope & change, what has he done to prove it!
Clinton has shown she can do this job, she is the right person for America in 2008 !
And again, the fact that Obama is getting so much support because he's black, think about it, is that why we want to vote for the next President ?
He is getting a lot of votes outside the Democratic stongholds , come Nov, he will have a hard time staving off McCann. I for one am torn between the two I may go for McCann myself.

I am for Hillary all the way. After the past 8 years of the Bush administrations lack of leadership we need someone who is EXPERIENCED to fix this MESS! Why isn't anyone talking about the deficit? Our country rebounded under a Clinton administration and I expect we will again under another Clinton. She is an experience strong leader that will help America regain fiscal stability and international respect.

  • Posted By: toyanew @ 02/13/2008 5:33:12 PM

Hi Chabels7, being pro-Obama has nothing to do with keeping a male in the white house. It's about getting the best person for the job. You should also do your homework because Obama has accomplished more then you can imagine for the American people. Why don't u do some follow up and come back tomorrow........
