Hope don't work in the American Govt. You have to have history of action and have contributed to the American History that can back up what you claim. " I will do this, I'll do that, it's all the same politics.

Myself is not fooled, Obama come, I go Republican, they are in place, they can fix what's been broke.

They've had 8 years to do that. Won't work

      • Posted By: RetiredMarine @ 02/14/2008 7:00:00 PM

They've had 8 years of democrats in the house and the senate fighting them from the beginning. Maybe if these fools would unite behind the president once elected, things would get done. You can not blame the president for all the problems if the house and senate stonewall him and fight against everything because their side didn't win this time....

I don't think Hillary would be a good president. women are not natural leaders and her judgement could seriously hurt this country. I'm not too sure about Obama. I really liked Gulianni though.

No one is a Narutal leader. Leadership is a skill learned, and lost if not practiced. It doesn't matter if it is a man or woman - both have the intelligence and capability of success. Granted - Hillary is NOT a leader, but these bigotted comments are not helping anyone's cause and expose you as less than intelligent.

Hillary continues to boast of her 35 years experience. You'd think if someone has worked that long on fixing things our country would be in a lot better shape. I think Obama needs to find out more about exactly all the things she's "supposed" to have fixed in her 35 years of experience. Inquiring minds want to know.

I was wondering the same thing, so I did a search on Hilary scandals. I could not believe everything listed there. I also can not believe she is trying to seat the Michigan and Florida delagates, that is a horrible and cheating thing to do!!!

Not really. That's the way the system works. It is rediculous, I agree, but it is the way the super delegates work. Kind of like when we VOTED for Al Gore, but he didn't get elected. We have a terrible system for electing Presidents, but it's what we have..it could be worse.

      • Posted By: Wa Dem @ 02/13/2008 5:25:51 PM

To be clear Hillary supports Michigan and Florida in thier bids to have delegates seated. Both states are considering legal action. This would be happening without any input from Hillary. That said I think Michigan is a lost cause, but Florida makes sense, it was an even playing field none of the candidates campaigned there and all were listed on the ballot. I worry that Florida will vote Repub in the general if denied seats. As we all remember Florida can be a deal breaker come election time.

If McCain wins everyone 18 to 40 get ready to sign up for the draft. This man is crazy. The more I watch his peach last night the more convince I am that he is going to pick fights with everyone.

We will not be only fighting in Iraq; we will be fighting in Russia, China and Venezuela.

GET READY FOR MORE BLOOD SHED more of our youths being pushed in wheel chairs around town with out limbs. It might be your father, your mother, your brother or your sister who loses a life because of the lunatic. I think this man wakes up at night from nightmares that he is still a prisoner of war.

Imagine all the destruction that will take place for 100 years if we are still in IRAQ.

This guy will run the economy and the infrastructure of the US into the ground. He has no clue about economics and how it works. We will have to pay for a lingering war with no tax base because he said that they meaning rich republicans want to make as much money as they can on the backs of the underpaid American workers and spend all of it the way they want with out paying tax.

WE AR DOOM if he wins.

Obama is my first choice. I will vote for Hill if she wins. NO JOHN MCAIN for the love of this country and every living american.

Your name is incorrect... you can be tricked. For your information, those brave young men and women who enlist do not need you back home crying to bring them home. They knew what they were getting into when they joined the military. They signed up willingly. It is a shame the disgrace that liberals bring them in the "name of bringing them home". They are proud of what they are doing. How about showing them the respect they deserve. It is they, not the constitution, which is ensuring your freedom and opportunity to open your mouth and complain. If a draft is ever instituted again, perhaps it is because Americans have become pathetic weaklings who won't volunteer to serve their country. Until that happens show some respect. And if it did ever happen, perhaps our citizenry would be more productive members of society. The US is one of the very few countries that does not require military service from every man. If you want to end the fighting quicker.... quit bitching about it and pick up a gun and join the fight

    • Posted By: felix1967 @ 02/13/2008 4:09:20 PM

I'm just wondering...from what basis are you making your statements about Senator McCain. He has honorably served in the US Military and in the US Senate for 25 years. When has he demonstrated that he is crazy? Or that we'll go to war in Russia, China and Venezuela? Your statements are nothing more than your opinion, which your are entitled to express, because of men like Senator McCain, who fought for freedom.

You should be more scared and afraid of another 4 or 8 years of Bill Clinton in Hillary drag...

HolyRoller, Mohammed is not our enemy. The huge majority of muslims are not our enemies. It is a small few who have warped their beliefs into excuses to kill. Also, Obama has never been Muslim, I looked it up since our afternoon discussion, Just attending a school in Indonesia doesn't make you a muslim. It's okay to see other cultures, and understand other people's beliefs, it makes one more well-rounded, and well, less bigoted.

Amen...good when folks really want to learn something and are commenting on things out of really looking at the issues and investigating and researching for themselves, and not just commenting and insulting others out of hatred for others that are different to themselves. Good to see that not everyone allows the conditioning of biased thinking, which this country has perpetuated and continues to perpetuate, to affect the intelligent functioning of their brain. Superiority/ Inferiority complex is a dangerous disease of the human state. First, let's realize how flawed we all are as human beings. No one is 'better' than anyone else. There is a lot of pain out here in this world. If the world were filled with only people that looked like ourselves we would still have war, division, and hatred. Please don't let your human nature, in spite of how flawed it is, make you irrational, idiotic, and brain dead. Change is what we need. Obama is the Right person, this is the Right time, and this is the Right place. For those who have let hate drive them in the past, now is the time to see past your hatred and see the truth of what we ALL need. We need to unite. It is possible. What Obama represents is this chance. Until we get past the first issue of a sordid selfishness, and the Superiority/Inferiority complex, we as a People will not be able to overcome all the other issues that are affecting us as a whole. When hatred of others that are different to ourselves is at the foundation of thoughts, there can be no substantial or sincere improvement on a major scale in the economy, education, politics, healthcare, or any other 'people-driven business. We are the Politics, the education, the healthcare. We are these things, BUT if we hate another human being because racism or some other 'ism' we will not be able to overcome all the problems we're are focusing on. Let America clean up their own backyard first, before we sit at the table and speak lies again to each other. Obama offers the ability to tackle the Racism that festers like a disease, and if we can elect him, this country can move to the next level a focus on all the other issues that we are talking about and can't seem to solve.

  • Posted By: bg_politics @ 02/13/2008 8:40:43 PM

The best thing about this election is that Sen McCain is a gentleman and an american hero. He will squash Sen Obama should he defeat Hillary anyway - maybe that will be best for the country. Only thing is that the country will lose the best opportunity it has had for a national healthcare system that wouldmake american industry competitive against those of Japan and Europe.

    • Posted By: HolyRoller @ 02/13/2008 11:01:02 PM

John McCain is exactly who this nation needs now. The muslim faith only understands or respects violence. McCain will see that they get it. We all want our troops out of harms way. That will only be accomplished with complete and total victory. Which John McCain as Commander-In-Chief will deliver.

If we cut and run like Hillary and Obama want (following suit of what Bill did), we are in for one major surprise and a lot more deaths. But, you really should tone it down a bit. Some of your posts could be better received if you didn't come off like a biggoted jerk. Some of those comments just rub the wrong way and your message is diluted because of it

Hillary has NEVER governed anything. 15 years of the 35 years of Hillary's so-called "experience" has been as a Corporate Lawyer for WalMart. 12 years of the 35 years of Hillary's so-called "experience" has as the WIFE of a politician. 8 years has been as a U.S. Senator. So, 23 of 35 years, she has not has to make any decisions that impacted people's lives, except when she worked on laying people off while representing corporations. Barack Obama has dedicated his life to public service as a community organizer to help economically devastated communities, civil rights attorney, and leader in the Illinois state Senate for 8 years. Obama now continues his fight for working families following his recent election to the United States Senate. Senator Obama also was a Law professor teaching civic and constitution law at UIC, the #2 Law school in the Nation... meaning He is a Scholar on the U.S. Constitution.

Senator Obama serves on the Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee, which oversees our nation???s health care, schools, employment, and retirement programs. He is a member of the Foreign Relations Committee, which plays a vital role in shaping American policy around the world, including our policy in Iraq. And Senator Obama serves on the Veterans??? Affairs Committee, which is focused on providing our brave veterans with the care and services they deserve. In 2005 and 2006, he served on the Environment and Public Works Committee, which safeguards our environment and provides funding for our highways.

During his eight years in the Illinois state Senate, Obama worked with both Democrats and Republicans to help working families get ahead by creating programs like the state Earned Income Tax Credit, which in three years provided over $100 million in tax cuts to families across the state. Obama also pushed through an expansion of early childhood education, and after a number of inmates on death row were found innocent, Senator Obama enlisted the support of law enforcement officials to draft legislation requiring the videotaping of interrogations and confessions in all capital cases.

Obama is especially proud of being a husband and father of two daughters, Malia, 9 and Sasha, 6. Obama and his wife, Michelle, married in 1992 and live on Chicago???s South Side where they attend Trinity United Church of Christ.

Barack Obama was born on August 4th, 1961, in Hawaii to Barack Obama, Sr. and Ann Dunham. Obama graduated from Columbia University in 1983, and moved to Chicago in 1985 to work for a church-based group seeking to improve living conditions in poor neighborhoods plagued with crime and high unemployment. In 1991, Obama graduated from Harvard Law School where he was the first African American president of the Harvard Law Review.

Mrs. Clinton is manipulative, sneaky, disingenuous, greedy... she's a politician. If you as an individual have only the desire to put a "woman" in office and not a responsible candidate, you can make no comments of those that voted for George W. Bush. Our responsibility as CITIZENS is not to register as a Democrat/Republican/Independent/Green/WFP etc. and follow them regardless of what they espouse. We put the candidate in office that can best lead our National Policies and is RESPECTED by the other governments on this planet.

    vote-OBAMA.

    • Posted By: RetiredMarine @ 02/14/2008 6:31:07 PM

I agree that we need to vote for the best person to lead this nation, but as for what other countries think... who cares? Worrying about them is what has cause the US more problems than necessary. Other countries want us to elect a weak president that will cave in and be a door mat. If that is what is "respected" than I'd much rather we be hated and at least take care of our own.

  • Posted By: benji214 @ 02/13/2008 5:57:13 PM

"Inspiration" when looking for a new predisent will get you nowhere. I'm sure plenty of pot-heads find inspirations in the fu@#*d up administration and speeches that Bush has delivered for the last 7 years, and we can all see how far that has gotten us. And to the "what experience" question and example: Besides being a senator for going on 8 years now, Hillary has been involved with the United States government in some form or another since the 70's. And, also, being a welders wife is a far cry from being in the White House and in the United States Congress. Try to use a better example next time.

    • Posted By: RetiredMarine @ 02/14/2008 6:25:17 PM

Because liberals have pressed for so long to take GOD out of our lives.... out of schools, out of courthouses, out of Government. Our founding fathers had it set up correctly. Although religions was a personal choice as to which faith you believed in, they still included GOD. Now it is politically incorrect to even mention God.

It is ashamed you blaming Hillary and show very greatness comments about Obama. We deserve much more respect for a great family as Clinton's. Bill might be considered the most efficient and useful President in the last five decades for all Americans....including for you, buddy...But you have short memory...The election battle for democrat nomination is just a beginning. What Obama won as a "great victory" (as you
called) is just "peanuts"...!! You show a lot of distorted things in this article. I can see here it is not a free
press. You executing an order. Who's order ?! ...You avoid the real facts and you are not able to make the
differences when is required. You do not show Hillary has an universal health care, but Obama
has nothing real. Just a limited health coverage with exclusions of million of Americans. Why ?! Very simple !
Obama receives money from the most influential interest group, including a mafia Klan:insurances-
pharmaceutical drug cartels-corrupt medical system. They pumping money for this intoxicated and manipulated propaganda against the poor people and some extra money coming from...sister Oprah, because he got too much
cash from a degenerated media TV. But time is come for real Democrats!! When Hillary and Obama will
come in Ohio, the pole will show: 75%-25% because : #1 Ohio has the grass roots in Europe #2 Ohio people doesn't like a Muslim Trojan Horse in the middle of America. Remember NY911...FOR EVER !!!...

Hillary's health care plan? SHE HAD HER SHOT! Her "healthcare" plan is most of what got her husband elected the first time. And what happened to that? 90+ days after he gets into office, they announce her healthcare plan isn't feasible, and we never heard another word about it...but he was already in office by then, so who cares, right? And I believe it was her husband's bright idea to tax social security benefits...taxing something we've already paid tax on. Nice. And you want to put him right back in office? Because believe me, he will be in office....dressed as his wife.

Its interesting that almost every racist and intolerant remark made about Senator Obama concludes with a "Vote for Hillary" plea. Are these the kind of people supporting Hillary? If so, no wonder Obama is sweeping the floor with her! Hillary can't even congratulate the man after he wins or publicly thank or acknowledge her supporters and volunteers that worked so hard for her in the states she lost. Its becoming more and more apparent that Hillary is just power hungry. Apparently some of her supporters are feeding off their candidate's lack of class. Thankfully, Obama has raised the bar in terms of class and mutual respect in this election season which is exactly what this country needs.

I firmly believe both candidates are with exceptional skills to be president of the United State of America. If only I could vote, I would have voted equally both Senators Hillary and Obama. However, this is impossible. I think American people should choose a democrat president this time. Because, a democrat president would be either a black African America (Sen Obama) or a woman (Sen Hillary) either of them are going to be the success of pure democracy in this great country over colour and race or over gender respectively but unfortunately I am not a USA citizen to have contributed by my vote. If it is Sen Hillary, she would not only be a woman president but she would be a woman and with a man who is her husband and an ex USA president where he is one of the greatest and he is a hero to many in politics in the world. Therefore, she would not be alone. Moreover, if it is Sen Obama he is a young American talented personality with huge of energy. Here is my biggest worry is I hope either of them would support promoting democracy in the world especially in middle east and assist wholeheartedly Kurds in Building up their own independent state. Because, I believe that American could make Kurds their permanent friends in the region for the best of both nations??? interests. Kurds have long been ignored, oppressed, and inhumanly divided so it would be the success of the world democracy if either of them or any American president would support an independent Kurdish State....

At least their dirty laundry has always been exposed and left to the court of the people. Go Hillary, we need a woman with balls in the government.

Those "balls" are her husbands, she doesn't have any of her own. If she did, she would've taken him to task for all of his "dalliances". The woman can't manage her own husband, how do you expect her to manage this country? I've had enough of Clintonomics, and I will NOT be voting for a Hill/Bill ticket!

stop lying,. It is documented he went to a Muslim based school as well as catholic school. The Muslim school he went to was not "radical" school, but something like a common catholic schoool. Also he used to attend prayers in school and mosque. (how much faith he had , we don't know) Obama people are playing in darkness.

There are no non-radical public schools in Indonesia. The nation operate under Sharria Law with govt, control over virtually everything. There is ample documentation to conclude. Hyssein is a Mohammed.
