I hope Hillary can make it. I don't share the knee jerk libral reaction of Obama. I don't agree with his or the far left librals who advocate immediate withdrawal from iraq. He is not a moderate. I don't trust movements. Democrats always lose when they follow a star and not reality. Hillary is a point of moderatin and clarity. Obama, for me, is an empty suit of nice words. Young, brash, but not to be trusted with my future. I am very weary of the Repbulican right but McCain would garner more confidence from me in terms of leadership than would Obama. No Hillar, no vote from me.

    Bruce W.

Barack is real as you say . I believe that.

Have you seen that wonderful video, "Obama! Obama! He Loves Ya More Than Your Mama!"

Hey, see it. It shows Barack walking on water.

    It will increase your belief

And what is your point - your girl HRC got her ____ handed to her - Hater!!!

Whoever wins the nomination must concede gracefully and urge their supporters to join the other camp.
So far, the trend looks like Obama will earn the nomination. Don't hate Hillary! If there were no Obama, the Democrats would support her heartily. I'd vote for an Obama/Clinton team, wouldn't you? That combination would be unbeatable. Remember that the whole point is that Democrats are destined to regain the White House. Let us prepare to consolidate our support when the nomination is made.

I WILL NOT VOTE FOR HIM. Hillary campaigned for him for his Senate seat and this is how he repays her. I FEAR the kind of CHANGE he wants to bring.

  • Posted By: leatha1 @ 02/13/2008 11:58:42 AM

People are disillusioned to think there isn't going to be a huge learning curve if Obama gets in the white house. We can not afford to have this the way the economy is at this time. People have to remember, his ideas probably won't fly as he states, all of them have to go through the House and Senate. Up hill fight all the way. If he is the nomine, I will not vote.

    • Posted By: GoObama @ 02/13/2008 12:05:23 PM

And what makes this so different for Hillary. She is just a senator also. Bill Clinton was president, not Hillary. People, and I assume most politicians would probably rather work with Obama instead of Hillary. And what about Bill Clinton coming in with only the experience of a Governor of a state?

      • Posted By: lookbeneaththesurface @ 02/13/2008 1:20:56 PM

At least they have experience. Obama is a Senator who doesn't even bother to VOTE on issues. Now THAT is great strategy for change! lol!

  • Posted By: cookiegramma @ 02/13/2008 1:20:56 PM

The media hype about Obama overshadows the actual campaigns in this primary season. Perhaps if there were less hype and more actual questioning of whwere the candidates actually stand voters would actually think about the importance of their votes. Truth be told the media might even cover the lack of actual voting in the senate by Mr. Obama. The only bonus I personally could find in this candidate being chosen is that the line item veto would not be an issue, he prefers not to take an actual stand on much of anything. This issue has been hinted at by the Clinton campaign, but not researched by the media. In particular if the reader is curious I would suggest his vote or lack thereof on child health care bills as a start. He also failed to vote on issues about surveillance.

"Insiders" running as "outsiders" always make me a little nervous. While the message of "change" is resounding throughout the land, let's pray that Mr. Obama's message is backed up by some real policy positions and, more importantly, people who know how Washington works. Remember, Jimmy Carter's campaign after the Nixon Years was based on hope and change -- but many of his key policy wonks in his administration had no idea on how Washington works. To bring about real change in Washington, Mr. Obama is going to need the numbers on Capitol Hill -- meaning at least a 40 or 50 seat majority in the House and at least 60 votes for change in the Senate. He should know that! After all, he's been in Washington for the last 4 years and I still don't have the faintest idea what he's accomplished except for piggybacking onto a lobby reform bill that was "greased" thanks to plea agreements of Jack Abramoff and one Representative Bob Ney (R-OH).

Hope and dreams are great and we all should experience them. However, reality can be a rude awakening! Don't bury Hillary yet. If she loses either Texas or Ohio on March 4, her campaign is over. However, if she wins both (regardless of the percentages), she's captured all the BIG Democratic states aside from Illinois (the ones we can expect to carry in November - along with Florida and Michigan) and she's still alive. Both candidates should then agree to a "matched-pair", winner-take-all fight in Pennsylvania. That way this thing is settled well before the convention and the super delegates (comprised of many of the old-guard politicians who have deep roots in the "Washington" Mr. Obama is running against) are left out of the decision.

I absolutely agree with you in your paragraph. It is easy to say the word CHANGE. I hope people take it seriously. They may get what they wish for- a charmer with great promises and a true outsider without ability to do things in the insides.

  • Posted By: GoObama @ 02/13/2008 12:21:04 PM

Hope and Change in America. What a wonderful concept! The truth is that any one of them may win. Let's just hope that the person elected will have the passion to do their very best to provide what the American People need. It is up to all of us to instill in our politicians at every level that we are sick and tired of paying for bad decisions in Washington. With all the years that Hillary Clinton and John McCain have been in Washington the American dream has continued on the decline. And now we're going to vote for them to be our President. If they are so great at working with others, why have they not used that to improve things already?

    • Posted By: lookbeneaththesurface @ 02/13/2008 1:19:16 PM

And what has Obama done? His only reason for getting into the Senate, apparently, has been because he wants to be President , because he is an egomaniac. Why hasn't HE done anything while he is in the Senate?? Like vote for something?

  • Posted By: 7ora734 @ 02/13/2008 12:47:39 PM

Once in a while a dynamic visionary this way comes, we have that now I think, you also have someone that is part of a corrupt admin that broke every law in the books and held up congress in and impeachment deal. This candidate also lead the smear campaign's against the WOMEN that brought charges of sexual hass: is this how she helps women? Any woman that votes for this candidate deserves a spouse like hers.

I'm independent voting, I vote both sides of the fence, and I think Mr. Obama could be another Lincoln or Roosevelt.

Do we really want to go through the hillbilly mob again?

    • Posted By: lookbeneaththesurface @ 02/13/2008 1:13:33 PM

lol. Obama a Lincoln or Roosevelt? WHAT HAS HE EVER DONE? Just give me a list of his accomplishments, please and cut the rhetoric. You people are ridiculous.

Do you believe that the women who fooled around with Bill :
      1. Were forced to do so?
      2. Didn't know he was married?
      3. Thought what they were doing was wrong, but didn't care?

N'T IT TIME FOR THESE PEOPLE TO ANNOUNCE THEIR RUNNING MATE?. DOES IT MAKE SENSE? EITHER THAT CAN SPEED UP THIS PROCESS OF ELIMINATION, WHICH IS KILLING BOTH PARTIES OR THESE CANDIDATES CAN SIT DOWN AND TALK ABOUT CO-CANDIDACY. IT WILL BE HILLARY OR MACCAINE ON FIRST TERM AND THE YOUNGER ONES THE SECOND TERM IF THINGS GO OK. DOES IT MAKE SENSE .. PLEASE STOP THIS FIGHT..TO DEATH.

I believe that people are starting to understand that Barrack is real and that he has passion for the position that goes beyound personal satisfication. Hillary just thought that everyone would step aside and she would slide in wioth out problem. People see through her and know that this stated as personal satisfaction instead of concern for the people. Barrack is truly concerned in making this country better for all people and not just the well to do. I believe that he has the best chance of all candidates of getting the two parties to work together. I believe that the people are going to demand that our politicians seek the middle ground more in the very near future or they will be replaced by those who will.

Niether party is absolutely right on all things and there is a lot of middle ground that has not been explored in the last twenty years and this country has suffered for it. I am a white man who is a registered repubilcan and admitts to having biases, but I have always firmly believed in voting for the best person for the position no matter what the party affiliation. This year I am supporting Barrack Obama, if he is not the democratic nominee I will then support McCain. Hillary is not about what is best for the American public but more of the same B.S. that has been Washington for twenty years, and her personal glory.

By the way did anyone else catch Bill's statement as George Mason when he stated that HE and HILLARY were the under dogs in Tuesday's primaries. Are we sure that he is running again, I thought that Hillary was the candidate?

  • Posted By: Bruce W. @ 02/13/2008 1:00:35 PM

I think that it should becoming very clear that people are starting to see the real difference between Barrack and Hillary, and that is the fact that Barrack is much more real and passionate about middle and lower class Americans, where Hillary is just more lip service. Miltongalfas states that Barrack's aupporters will go for Hillary ore so than Hillary's going for Barrack, I believe someone should stop and sell the roses. If Hillary should win she will do so by splitting up the party and will lose all chance of his supporters and will get beaten by McCain. She came into this as personal ego that was very clear to anyone with a brain for many years. The sad part is that if she doesn't win she very well may be upset that she put up with all of Bill's B.S. for nothing. Oh by the way, did anyone else pick up on Bill's statement at George Mason on Sunday that HE and HILLARY were the under dogs for Tuesday's primaries.I thought she was the one running for president.

Get with it people, there will be history made this year but it will not be the first woman president, but the first man of color as president that makes history. This is from a white person that admits that he is not with out bias, and that he is a registered republican, but I have always believed in voting for the right person no matter what party affilation. The PUBLIC is demanding change and the stoppage of party pickering, and that both parties start working together for the best of all people, and I believe that Barrack Obama is the best person to get this done, and if the other politicians do not want to cooperate then the American public can show them the door and put someone in congress that will make the effort.

Without knowing the details of internal difficulties in her the campaign organization, Clinton seems to have resigned to her fate of loosing. There is no sense of fighting spirit in her appearance except hearing I am the one. Even that preaching seems to lack of spontaneity. She needs much more than that. And I hope she can find her ways back to win votes. Wish her a lots of luck.

ALL I CAN SAY IS GET READY TEXAS AND OHIO FOR OBAMA. HE IS SPECTACULAR AND IF YOU GET THE CHANCE PLEASE JUST GO HEAR HIM SPEAK AND GIVE HIM A CHANCE. HE IS VERY DETAILED IN HIS ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS. HE IS ALSO FOR A UNIVERSAL HEALTHCARE PLAN AND YOU CAN VERIFY THIS IN HIS "BLUEPRINT FOR CHANGE" BOOKLET. JUST CONTACT AN OBAMA OFFICE IN YOUR AREA AND THEY SHOULD HAVE ONE YOU CAN TAKE AND READ. HE WANTS TO REDUCE THE COST OF HEALTHCARE TO MAKE IF AFFORDABLE TO ALL PEOPLE. HILLARY'S PLAN IS TO MANDATE ALL PEOPLE TO PURCHASE IT OUT OF YOUR PAYCHECKS (I'VE NOT HEARD HER GIVE ANY EXAMPLE OF THE COST OR LOWERING THE COST OF HEALTHCARE HAVE YOU?!). SHE IS TRYING DESPERATELY TO PASS OFF THIS QUICK FIX OR 7-ELEVEN NOTION OF WITHING 60 DAYS I'LL START BRINGING HOME THE TROOPS BUT IF YOU'LL JUST LISTEN TO SENATOR OBAMA HE WILL ALSO BRING THEM ALL HOME AND WITHING HIS FIRST 8-10 MONTHS IN OFFICE. AS HE SAID "WE MUST BE AS CAREFUL PULLING OUR TROOPS OUT OF IRAQ AS WE (BUSH ADMINISTRATION AND COUNTRY) WERE CARELESS GETTING IN." i ENCOURAGE PEOPLE TO GO ON-LINE TO VIEW MICHELLE OBAMA IN HER RECENT INTERVIEW ON LARRY KING LIVE A FEW DAYS AGO. meandspeedo 02/13/2008

    STOP DAY DREAMING

The White House is already upside down. So I guess Obama will be putting it right side up. Gj!

I don't think Hillary will be the democratic nominee. Obama continues to sweep accross the country with the support of the voters. He's very insightful, intelligent, and quite frankly a refreshing change in the political arena. Our children and grandchildren of this nation need to have a First Family in the White House that moves in and from "day one" (to borrow from HIllary) will example honesty, integrity, and wholesomeness. The people of this country are speaking loud and clear through Senator Obama that we do desire and do demand change in Washington. This is a rare opportunity in our nation to "get it right" and vote a President into the White House that can listen to all political parties and work through their differences for the good of the people...all the people. meandspeedo 02/13/2008

    Can Hillary Overcome Her Defeats?

I don't think she can, but, frankly, I am not worried about that.

If Obama wins,. given the Iraq mess and the economic horror he will be the most unpopular man alive after a few months as president.

The more insanely he is worshipped now as God, the more terrible will be the disillusionment of the idiots who worship him when they find out he is only a fast-talking, crooked Chicago lawyer.

So that means Al Gore will have a great run for the presidency in 2012.

He must be smiling at all this.

    • Posted By: GoObama @ 02/13/2008 12:52:13 PM

I agree with the definite possibility that the Iraq war and economic horror that he will inherit from the past wiill allow some disillusionment, however, I don't believe anyone who becomes president will avoid that. Referring to people as idiots because they have hope for change is reflection of who you are. If we are all honest there is no "perfect politician". Al Gore is 2012?

  • Posted By: meandspeedo @ 02/13/2008 12:43:53 PM

I don't think Hillary will be the democratic nominee at this point. Barack Obama continues to build a very strong momentum on the campaign trail. He'got so much more going for him than just being a fountain of hope which the citizens of the United States so desperately are thirsty for. He absolutely is speaking on behalf of what the people want.....we don't want to reflect back into the "past" for answers...we must look to the future and confront all the issues--racism in this country, immigration, health-care, the war in Iraq. He and Michelle Obama with their daughters and as First Family in the White House can return this nation to an example of morals and what a normal and healthy family look like. Children in this country need that. Let us not revert back to the Clinton's and their scandals/affairs. Anita Allbee 02/13/2008

I think voters better look closer at Obama and Clinton in the remaining states. I am very worried about this mob hysteria.

  • Posted By: JustinAM @ 02/13/2008 12:29:40 PM

A candidate that can't even balance a campaign budget is not fit to be president. The national debt and deficit are driving down the economy. If you can't even keep a watch on your campaign spending how are you going to handle the complexities of national finances and the economy.
No Wonder leading economists gave your economy plans a C.
