    Goodbye to:
???an era when parts of the populace feel so disaffected by politics that a comparative lack of knowledge, experience, and skill is actually seen as attractive, when celebrity-culture mania now infects our elections so that it???s ???cooler??? to glow with marquee charisma than to understand the vast global complexities of power on a nuclear, wounded planet

    Goodbye to the double standard:

???She???s ???ambitious??? but he shows ???fire in the belly.??? (Ever had labor pains?)???When a sexist idiot screamed ???Iron my shirt!??? at HRC, it was considered amusing; if a racist idiot shouted ???Shine my shoes!??? at BO, it would???ve inspired hours of airtime and pages of newsprint analyzing our national dishonor

Me? I support Hillary Rodham because she???s the best qualified of all candidates running in both parties. I support her because her progressive politics are as strong as her proven ability to withstand what will be a massive right-wing assault in the general election. I support her because she knows how to get us out of Iraq. I support her because she???s refreshingly thoughtful, and I???m bloodied from eight years of a jolly ???uniter??? with ejaculatory politics. I needn???t agree with her on every point. I agree with the 97 percent of her positions that are identical with Obama???s???and the few where hers are both more practical and to the left of his (like health care). I support her because she???s already smashed the first-lady stereotype and made history as a fine senator, because I believe she will continue to make history not only as the first US woman president, but as a great US president.

    As for the ???woman thing????

Me, I???m voting for Hillary not because she???s a woman???but because I am.

A woman may vote for Hillary, but a lady would not. Laura Bush would receive more votes than her.

Hillary has NEVER governed anything. 15 years of the 35 years of Hillary's so-called "experience" has been as a Corporate Lawyer for WalMart. 12 years of the 35 years of Hillary's so-called "experience" has as the WIFE of a politician. 8 years has been as a U.S. Senator. So, 23 of 35 years, she has not has to make any decisions that impacted people's lives, except when she worked on laying people off while representing corporations. Barack Obama has dedicated his life to public service as a community organizer to help economically devastated communities, civil rights attorney, and leader in the Illinois state Senate for 8 years. Obama now continues his fight for working families following his recent election to the United States Senate. Senator Obama also was a Law professor teaching civic and constitution law at UIC, the #2 Law school in the Nation... meaning He is a Scholar on the U.S. Constitution.

Senator Obama serves on the Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee, which oversees our nation???s health care, schools, employment, and retirement programs. He is a member of the Foreign Relations Committee, which plays a vital role in shaping American policy around the world, including our policy in Iraq. And Senator Obama serves on the Veterans??? Affairs Committee, which is focused on providing our brave veterans with the care and services they deserve. In 2005 and 2006, he served on the Environment and Public Works Committee, which safeguards our environment and provides funding for our highways.

During his eight years in the Illinois state Senate, Obama worked with both Democrats and Republicans to help working families get ahead by creating programs like the state Earned Income Tax Credit, which in three years provided over $100 million in tax cuts to families across the state. Obama also pushed through an expansion of early childhood education, and after a number of inmates on death row were found innocent, Senator Obama enlisted the support of law enforcement officials to draft legislation requiring the videotaping of interrogations and confessions in all capital cases.

Obama is especially proud of being a husband and father of two daughters, Malia, 9 and Sasha, 6. Obama and his wife, Michelle, married in 1992 and live on Chicago???s South Side where they attend Trinity United Church of Christ.

Barack Obama was born on August 4th, 1961, in Hawaii to Barack Obama, Sr. and Ann Dunham. Obama graduated from Columbia University in 1983, and moved to Chicago in 1985 to work for a church-based group seeking to improve living conditions in poor neighborhoods plagued with crime and high unemployment. In 1991, Obama graduated from Harvard Law School where he was the first African American president of the Harvard Law Review.

These are his own words from his book, friends and family. He was right when he said that no politician is clean. He is just as dirty if not more so than the rest. Some new change. He is not an outsider he's in the Senate. Why did he go along with supporting the war once he had the power to vote against it? What a hypocrite. I feel sorry for those who were taken in by him.

He has taken the great words of JFK and MLK and used them for his own. What a fraud. Yes the U.S. desperately wants change. They want change from George W Bush and it doesn't matter who it is. Obama wants you to believe in the words that he says but it's not what he believes in his heart.

"Wherever politics tries to be redemptive, it is promising too much. Where it wishes to do the work of God, it becomes not divine, but demonic." Pope Benedict XVI
    http://www.americanthinker.com/2008/02/obamas_politics_of_collective.html

Saul Alinsky began his book Rules for Radicals:
"Lest we forget at least an over-the-shoulder acknowledgment to the very first radical: from all our legends, mythology, and history (and who is to know where mythology leaves off and history begins -- or which is which), the first radical known to man who rebelled against the establishment and did it so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom -- Lucifer."

Why do the Africans and Indoneisans think that Obama has changed to Christianity from Islam? They consider him still a muslim. Once a muslim always a muslim in their eyes and they believe he change his faith just to become president. SO keep fooling yourself and keep drinking the Kool Aid. Obama will not be President.

    • Posted By: mix113 @ 02/13/2008 9:29:22 PM

Obama will not be President? You should probably check the last 8 states voting. Maybe check how 7 times more democrats voted than republicans in Washington State. How Obama alone got more votes than all Republicans put together in that state, and that wasn't even his most lopsided victory. How he has been nearly doubling Clinton's votes. How all races, religions, and ages have switched to his side. I think you've been drinking too much of this "Kool Aid" you speak of if you think he's not going to be president

You aren't too smart about politics are you? McCain will get more cross-over Democrate votes since Reagan. Dems. always outnumber Repubs. in the primaries. The general election will not be very closr. American Hero vs Mohammed-give me a break.

These days everyone has an American hero in their family,I have several. My husband is over there now. The probably is, Americans are tired of the war. It's killing too many Americans and costing too much money. I support many husband, but understand why people would be reluctant to vote for McCain.

No more Clinton's...no more Bush's...It's time to move forward!

    • Posted By: vtcallan @ 02/14/2008 10:34:36 AM

The Clinton's have had their time. It's now time to turn the page. If you can't stand behind Obama, it says more about you than him. He is a once-in-a-generation candidate and the establishment in both parties are scared. Out of all the candidates, voting for him is the closest thing to telling Washington to "Go to Hell!". I don't pretend that he is some kind of savior and he has never pandered himself as such. He is an inspirational candidate and it's about time we had someone like him to speak for us.

Clinton is such a divisive figure that she wouldn't be able to pass anything through Congress, even the most inocuous lesgislation, simply because it would have her name on it.

No, Obama isn't Jesus. And no, Holy Roller, you imbecile, he's not Mohammed either. He's just a politician who is tainted a helluva lot less than the establishment and, for that, I trust him. It doesn't hurt either that he sends tingles up your spine when he speaks. He has about just as much experience as Clinton and he comes with a lot less baggage. It doesn't get any simpler than this.

During the superbowl the majority of the players also didn't place their hand on their heart during the national anthem. This doesn't mean at all that you are unpatriotic or Muslim. The players stood reverently just like Obama.. So please stop spreading these lies about Obama being unpatriotic or Muslim.

Football players aren't running for President of the United States. The President of the United States and anyone who is running for that office should show respect to the very symbol of the country he or she wishes to run.

Hillary has no executive experience just like McCain and Obama. First lady is not executive experience. If we count years as a senator, Obama would win. He has more years as a senator combining the state and federal level.

  • Posted By: darkeknight @ 02/14/2008 10:06:34 AM

I cant believe how low some of these Hillary supporters and bigots will go. Instead of sticking to the issues, they would throw out false accusations, distortions, and out right lies to tarnish a person that only wants the best for our country. Oh wait, that is a Clinton tactic so I guess her supporters are following her lead. Also idiots like holyroller espousing such hate filled rhetoric to bolster fear in America is also a well used tactic...by the Republicans...Thats why we are in Iraq now. Cheney's White house convinced us to fear our enemies to take away our rights! Benjamin Franklin said it best, "The man who trades freedom for security does not deserve nor will he ever receive either." (I forgive you holyroller, this may all be above your head)

Interesting. I see your point. I wonder... when you mentioned the rule of being condemned for a switch in Muslim identity, as being archaic, if it is perhaps considred to be so by the moderate Muslim world. If not, you have a valid point in Obama's ability to negotiate with them. Unfortunately, we seem to be in the role of defense against the terrorists rather than in the role of having communications. RE: Hillary...she's not Bill, and although I do agree that her positive reputation in the Islamic world would be a good thing, her inablity to unite the parties in America will outweigh that good. In other words, just to spite her personally, the republicans will block everything she tries to accomplish. (Just like Dems do to Bush now). What's your opinion on that? I'm guessing you are a Hillary supporter. Would you rather have McCain Pres than Obama? Just curious.

  • Posted By: Montel Holmes @ 02/14/2008 9:49:09 AM

We often faill to realize a few things. 1) How women are actually viewed in islamic country and by the male dominated world as a whole 2) When in office Bill was the great WORLD ambassador as he is trying to protray. For Instance, his war against Somolia, Genicide in Rowanda, and the attacks on 911 was planned while he was in office. But you may be talking about his world wide favor b/c of the NAFTA agreement that sent jobs to Mexico. 3) Bill can't be Vice President :)

  • Posted By: falconer2 @ 02/14/2008 9:22:24 AM

You forget one VERY IMPORTANT asset for Hillary ...Bill is LOVED by the rest of the world including the Islamic world. So in that sense she has the BEST Ambassador to them probably in the US. Neither Obama (even in his name) or McCain have anything like it.

  • Posted By: falconer2 @ 02/14/2008 9:19:39 AM

It's true they aren't looking for a reason and yes they are looking for a way...However Obama would become completely ineffective with Islamic leaders if Islamic law would not allow them to negotiate or even talk to him, or for that matter should they acknowledge him officially ... they would be condemned as well.

  • Posted By: geniepocket2 @ 02/14/2008 9:08:39 AM

Your argument, although interesting, seems to me like a mute point. It's not like the terrorists are looking for an excuse to attack us, they are just looking for a way. These finatics will place a condemnation of death on whoever ends up as President. In fact, it may just be that it will be harder for them to get a large following to commit to killing Barack Hussein Obama than say Hillary Clinton or John McCain. As I said before, having had contact with the muslim world puts Obama at an advantage to be our president, not a disadvantage. (We can better defend ourselves against an enemy we understand...and we will be more apt to view the entire muslim world as human beings with similarities). Also, Hillary will be stonewalled by the opposite party, just as Bush is now. Obama...or second choice McCain is a better option than Hillary.

  • Posted By: TheCaptKirk @ 02/13/2008 1:13:37 AM

Today our freedom, once guaranteed in the US Constitution, was again voted away. Senator Obama stayed in DC and voted for our freedom. Senator McCain stayed in DC and voted AGAINST our freedom. Senator Clinton was.....AWOL, campaigning. McCain will never get my vote. Clinton has now lost any hope of earning my vote. Obama has earned my vote and my next donation.

    • Posted By: RetiredMarine @ 02/13/2008 4:26:01 PM

In every democracy that ever existed, the people vote their freedoms away until democracy no longer exists. We are simply repeating history because we fail to learn. The more liberal we become, the more we seek handouts from the government, the more we become dependent on the government. Eventually we will be totalyy dependent because we want the government to take care of everything. Funny how we say our freedoms are lost when measures are taken to make it difficult for terrorists. But we a continue to vote away our freedoms every day.... hey the government should pay for education, hey everyone has a right to free healthcare, etc... etc.... How contradictory and pathetic we are becoming. The vote today stopped the phone companies from being liable in court for disclosing to the government information they needed for anti terrorist operations. In no way did it take away our freedom. This twisted thought process is pathetic. If you have nothing to hide, why worry? No one is after you. Where is the outcry when the government wants to garnish your wages for this that and anything else and force upon you the politicians agenda? What made a politician the expert of say health care? If we are going to cry about losing freedoms, lets evaluate EVERYTHING rather than make a big outcry over the little things only.

      • Posted By: mononuke @ 02/13/2008 5:56:34 PM

Nope. No democracy that has ever existed has lasted as long as our has, using the model we use. EVERYONE in our system has a voice, whether you believe it or not. We are not voting our rights away. We are coming to terms with each other's differences as our open space grows smaller. By the way, fake bombs pass airport security pal. If terrorists want to attack us badly enough, they will. No need to fear. We are strong. We'll survive. This administration wants us living in fear, voting away personal liberties and adapting to their BS. Instead of changing this country into what we want it to be. We'll make it through this confusion. We're strong., The old ways are dying, and my generation is coming into power. Fundamentalists are weak and need to stand aside. The new Americans are profit min

        • Posted By: RetiredMarine @ 02/14/2008 8:28:46 AM

As I said.... repeating History. Every other Democratic nation thought the same way... We are strong, We are coming to terms, and all that rhetoric BS. Yes we have lasted the longest, but we are repeating the same mistakes, just on a slower scale. The cycle needs to be broken. Once we head down the path of reliance on the government, we are doomed.

      • Posted By: RetiredMarine @ 02/14/2008 8:14:48 AM

it means that Dominican is a bigot. Oh... lets vote for this guy because he is black.... then the white boys will be in for it.... This year it appears as if the country has gone insane. Everyone is basing their issues on... shes a woman lets vote for her, he's black lets vote for him, Oh this guy is a Mormon we can't vote for him, etc.... rather than on the issues. Like it or not, we are at war with terrorism. Both Hillary and Obama are inept at handling this issue. Either of them would have us cut and run and bow down to the big bad bullies (after all, Bill did). I may not like McCain, but in the National defense issue, he is the ONLY candidate ready to lead us during these times. He of course would need to find someone as a running mate to pick up the slack on the economic issues.

Well maybe Hillary should start crying. Isnt that how she gains support. Lets not be too hard on Hillary, she might start balling. There has NEVER been a female president. What the hell makes anyone think that this is that year. All Hillary is doing is opening up the door for future women to run. She will not win. She will cry. You should be thankful your country will not be run by a weak individual. A cry'er. Go back to Wallmart, all of you Hillary lovers.
