What a bunch of hypocrites on part of Walmart since they like to tell hard working musicians like Hank III what he has to record in order to have his cd to be sold at there stores...

I fully agree!! Obviously, I'm a fan of Tool, and they don't pander to such idiotic artistic censorship. Another reason why I love them.

to: judyb46 - I am a 36 yr old female that has had to have a complete hysterectomy in November due to uterine cancer. Unfortunatley because of this, I suffer from vaginal dryness (as well as all the other issues that come along with menopause) I would feel a bit uncomfortable going into a "sex shop" to purchase a lubricant (not too mention, there are none in my area) So, I applaud Wal-Mart for FINALLY catering to ALL AMERICANS.

I think the USA has issues. Real issues. Sex is a GOOD THING, it is what put each and every one of us on the face of this earth.

Just so you all know, you're here because your parents HAD SEX! OMG, Yes it's true, your dad diddled your mom.

Quit hiding it, and our kids and society will be FAR better off.

As Adult Comedian and host of kids show Thomas the Tank Engine, George Carlton said: "I would rather have my children see two people making love on TV (censored change) than two people killing each other".

Every kid in the USA, by the age of 3, knows how to take someone outta this world, but until they are 18, they don't know how we were brought into it. There is something wrong here.

And for Heather7175, the world would be better if you didn't reproduce, via sex, procreation, or any other 'words' you want to use for f*&^ing.

What type of comedian are you actually? I already know you're legal, so please state it differently.

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO disappointed! Not appropriate for this type of store -- or so I used to think! Used to be we just watched out for magazines at the checkout counter to protect our children's eyes. NOW -- watch out all through the store. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO disappointed.

Yet another "being the times", "hide it from the kids" prude speaks up.

To: judyb46 that is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Disappointed, I am a 36 year old female that has had to have a complete hysterectomy in November due to uterine cancer. Since this has slammed me into premature menopause, (in case yourself have not had the pleasure of experiencing this yet, one of the side effects is vaginal dryness) I would feel a bit uncomfortable going into a "sex shop" (if there was one in my area that is) so I applaud Wal-Mart for carrying such things for us that still enjoy sexual relations!!

What adults do in their bed is no ones business! People are ordering items online and giving the tax revenue to other states. Let's be adult about this, Bring it out of the closet and educate people so we are not raising a generation who think sex is taboo. This is how we get predators. God intended for adults to have a healthy sex life. Not to be raised that ALL sex is dirty .

I don't have a problem with it, I think prudes, who have a problem with it, should just not buy it. I would encourage Walmart and other places to carry as much sexual aides as possible. It's not for anyone to decide what Walmart or other places should or should not sell. You don't like it, don't buy it. Times are changing, the future will be more sexually liberated whether you agree with it or not, it's going to happen. Nobody is twisting your arm, so if you don't like it, ignore it, don't purchase it, but don't force your morality or religious beliefs on me! Thank you very much!

  • Posted By: gentleolderguy @ 02/14/2008 11:00:27 AM

Do ya think America might just be coming out of the closet. It's about time. Sexually we are about
one hundred years behind the rest of the world. We need to do some catching up!

  • Posted By: notsopatientguy @ 02/14/2008 8:32:04 AM

OMG, this is ridiculous people! SEX is how we all got here, it has many prettier names of course (procreation, making love, etc.) but it is sex all the same.

Why hide it from the kids? By age 3 they all know how to "take someone out" of this world, why can't they know how to "bring someone in" to this world?

I will BET that even the most prudish woman, procreating with the most prudish man, enjoyed her orgasm and was screaming for more!

As Adult Comedian and host of the kids show Thomas the Tank Engine said: "I would rather have my child watch two people f*&^ing on TV than see two people killing each other".

If children knew more about sex, birth control (condoms, pills, gells, jellies), and had more general education about it, we would see less experimentation, less 15 year old pregnancies, and less STD's.

Remember that those who don't know history are DOOMED to repeat it, knowledge is power, power is knowledge.

To tool-fan, it's because the land of the free and the home of the brave isn't anymore. We're the land of the politically correct and the censored. There are too many rich housewives with nothing better to do than stick their noses in everyone elses lives and tell them how to live and what to do. Note that these are also the women have sex with the pool boy because their husbands are impotant, but its too embarassing to get a prescription for Viagra.

    • Posted By: cnew83 @ 02/14/2008 10:28:18 AM

If your children already know how to "take someone out of this world" at 3 years old, I think there is a problem. Life is complicated enough without kids knowing how to kill and what sex is by the age of 3. Let them have time to be kids. When they are a little older, those kind of talks are fine, but at 3, it's just confusing. However, everyone (including me now), is off topic. Wal-Mart has been selling lube for a long time...it just seems like now they're carrying more brands...wow...not really.

Most people are having sex, either with themselves or with someone else. Personally, I am a distributor for a highly professional company which sells this type of merchandise through the at home party style. It is for women only where we educate about these types of products as well as other lotions, potions, and things that go buzz in the night. And let me tell you, my book stays full. I have had many clients who call to thank me because the education that I have shared has helped them rekindle their sex lives as well as help with intimacy issues and in some cases even rekindled communication in marriages. I wish more companies would be open to the idea of intimacy enhancers not being something that is "wrong" but something that can really help open the lines of communication in a relationship.

The typical walmart customer is not a pleasent site as it is, the thought of these devices being used iby them is way too much of a fetish for me. However, it is nice to see that companies are no longer afraid to sell a product which contributes to the health of their customers.

  • Posted By: PKR59 @ 02/14/2008 10:24:11 AM

Don't you think that Walmart is just a bit hypocritical. They are willing to shut down American factories and send those jobs over seas but yet don't want to appear immoral by selling sexually provocative products like vibrators. People might just see them for what they really are and stop shopping there.

  • Posted By: PKR59 @ 02/14/2008 10:20:50 AM

I think it's hypocritical of Walmart and other stores who do not care products like vibrators and such, but will be the lead driver in running jobs out of this country to some foreign land, namely China. Walmart wants to act like they are placing themselves on some moral high ground only in an attempt to keep themselves appearing good, and I am using that term loosely, so people will keep buy their garbage. Give me a break.

In my opinion, it is a good thing that such devices are not age restricted. This allows teens to explore their sexual beings without fear of diseases and denigration from the opposite sex. Also, condoms should be promoted. In this day and age, we are just being naive if we think that teens aren't "doing it". Although, I have a very open and honest rapport with my three teenage virgins, most parents do not since it is considered taboo to discuss such things with your kids. However, I work in retail and have often seen some of my kids' friends coming in with their significant others and purchase condoms. They know who I am and know that although I may not approve of their activity, I do approve that they have chosen to protect themselves from unwanted pregnancies and diseases. As parents, it IS our responsibility to protect our children from whatever danger is out there and that DOES include sexually related dangers. To touch on the religious aspect of this "freedom", I do believe that sex is an intimate act that should be saved to share with your spouse, not only for procreation, but for enjoyment as well. However, we cannot dictate or mandate that everyone do so because it is a personal choice and should be so. As I have explained it to my own teens, "Would you like to give or get a gift from your significant other that you know for a fact has been tried on by more than one person?" and "Would you let your friend borrow your dirty underwear and then wear them without washing them?" Food for thought...

I think it's fantastic that these products, which are extremely helpful for sexuality and health, are now becoming easier to buy. For one thing, lubricants are almost neccesary in helping prevent the spread of STD's from certain kinds of sex. And in general, young people are more likely to use protective and *clean* new products if they can buy them themselves, instead of from seedy friends or stealing their parents credit cards.
    I think this is great.

It's about time that Americans reach maturity about their sexuality. Sexual desire is every bit a part of being human as eating and eliminating body wastes. European and Asian societies have know this for a very long time making Americans the laughing stock of the world when it comes to this subject. The only ones more inhibited are the Islamic peoples and they even go so far as to execute violators of their overbearing moral code. Frustration can lead to violent behavior and that is painfully obvious in the Middle East and in some segments of our society here in America. Welcome to the Brave New World.

oh pulease....get over it already America.

Your attitudes to sex are just so 1950's.....oh no lubricant.-...think of the children. (lol while your ADD children are taking prozac because of how screwed up you've made them).

"Yes Mr and Mrs America....people do have sex still"
