closed mindedness and a lack of live and let live tolerance is vulgar and disgusting (this stuff is not packaged in anything other than a discreet manner after all-if it does not interest you-don't look for it next time you are there) besides the john holmes model would only really appeal to the men who watch his movies (yo shout out to Bob!!) men seem to be the ones facinated by freakishly large pricks-not us

now listen up ,,larue 42,,sure ive watched them,,so have lots o ladies too,,and many many ladies were enthralled with size of john holnes's 'tool,,(misspell ntentional) if you and otherswant to really get educated as to whats going on,go to some f the adult dating sites on the net,,not the nicey-nicey ones ,but the ones ,",married ,and looking" and similar ,,there are tons of them,, and also thousands of married ladies ,perhaps hundreds of thousands of married ladies wanting to meet someone to cheat on their husbands ,,most are looking for bigger size too. than their husbands . perhaps not all J H size ,but 8,9,&10 inch are commonly sought . they think they are missing something ,and want to try out ,,now if dildos in various sizes were redily available,in comnon stores ,,perhaps they could be satisfied with that ,and not go out cheating on their mate. but i doubt it ,,anyhow to other one who mentioned J H died of aids ,,yes he did ,,and left many sad lady fans . some say he was a homo ,,but i dont know..

Napolean (aka BOB): Ever watched the movie "Wonderland"? John Holmes is most likely invovled with the murder of several people, killed by a beathing with a LEAD PIPE. The crime scene footage is on the disc as well. Holmes is a repulsive drug addict/accomplice to murder, so AIDS is the least of his problems. You speak like men don't ever seek affairs, infidelity is not limited to one gender. Perhaps SOME of those women are looking for more satisfaction, emotionally or physically. Perhaps their husbands should ask them what THEY want for a change. And do you honestly believe that men don't ever buy lube? Seriously. A mature man who is comfortable with his masculinity should have no problem with that. My wonderful guy will pick up my tampons and lube if I ask him to, with no complaints whatsoever. He's only 21, and obviously more mature than you!

Spoken from a man......probably with a "short" dick as well as mind. If you read or had an man/woman relationships, women looking for the extracurricular is usually looking for an emotional attachment outside the home, and not the size of the dick......with than mentality you have it made in both departments bob........maybe you should try the website for the inadequacities of men's brains and dicks.....lol

Well, the lubricant thing is just ridiculous, it really is just a health aid, be it sexual or not.... And with the vibrators, I say go for it! We are one sexually closeted society, making sex such a taboo just increases our teens interest! So put the vibrators on wal marts shelves, the people who could really benefit from self exploration are probably not the ones that you would see in any xxx stores. And Heather?? The kids are gonna have to learn some time, wouldnt you rather be the one to tell them?

I have no problem with stores selling this stuff, but it's absolutely retarded that WalMart won't carry the explicit versions of CDs, only the edited versions, but they will carry mini-vibrators. I have not and will never buy music there (I really try to boycott them as much as possible) because I believe not having the option of buying the explicit version of music hinders the artists. Dumb.

  • Posted By: lamullen @ 02/14/2008 7:57:58 AM

Sex is perfectly natural. There is NOTHING dirty about it.

And for the "even teens can buy them" comment, drugs aren't legal, and they get their hands on those too. If a teen wants a sex toy, they'll find a way to get them. Having one personal 'massager' at Target won't change that.

    Ugh.

only in repressed societies such as where the Muslum religion and here in the united states is the human body and sex considered dirty or obsene. With veiws and ststements from the "Family Council" and Heather7175 and others with similar views it is no wonder STD's and teenage pregnancies are on the rise again. They figure by simply teaching the "Just Say No" and burying their heads in the sand that a biological instinct to reproduce will just disapear in teenagers with raging hormones. A lackof knowlege is ignorance and ignorance leeds to mistakes and poor choices, where as knowlege and parental involvement with a proper moral upbringing leeds to good and safe choices.

The way I see it is this, In San Antonio, not just the Walmarts carry sensual/sexual aids. The local grocery stores carry them, heck you can buy a six pack of beer and lube if you wanted. This is a new day and age where its okay to be openly sexual and the other benifit is you don't have to pay for the shipping. Education is the main thing here as well. If you tell your child that its disgusting then they will always believe it. Take beer for instance, isn't that concidered a sexual aid? Educate people, Teach or children well.

Big deal it's a personal lubricant. Walmart has sold KY for years. Not even news worthy. Please.

  • Posted By: chellie @ 02/14/2008 6:55:22 AM

wow all the flap over a personal lubricant. Guess what Walmart has sold KY for years. Give it up.

  • Posted By: redhead33 @ 02/14/2008 6:44:25 AM

Big Whoop! Everyone has sex, or at least they should. Go over to Europe-only Americans are this uptight & make such a big deal about everything. This shouldn't even be a story.

  • Posted By: rubiamomma @ 02/14/2008 1:07:35 AM

This article is ridiculous. Who cares if vibrators, lube, and magazines are being sold in what store? I'm glad that other people feel the same. Sex is completely natural and normal. Hypocrasie of this world is ridiculous because the only way the person who thought this article up doesn't get sex unless they are really really odd. Come on! This is retarded and I am thankful for a comments box because I WAS searching for one.

    • Posted By: SlpAwy @ 02/14/2008 3:48:29 AM

I am also thankful for the comments box and for enlightened contributors like yourself. I think you only have to look at poster like reiko-chan to see what overwhleming, deep seated guilt can do.

Alright maybe i should have been more specific.I am not against sex toys or lubricants.I stocked plenty of KY jelly on the shelves at Kmart in the early 80's when I was putting myself through college. And yes they sold the KY at Kmart back then. But the truth of the fact is many parents don't even pay attention or care what their kids do as long as they dont get in there way.Go out there and buy and use all the sex toys you want.Hey Bob a person shouldn't need a liscense to have sex but there is a great number who should to have children..I never said they should not sell lube either, read people.America is not oversexed?Just turn on HBO,Showtime ,MTV or hell Big Brother on CBS.KIds are getting sex pouded into there brains before they are even old enough to think through the consequense of having unprotectected sex or multiple partners.Thats my point. And to all the parents out there smart enough to teach your children about sex I say BRAVO.SEX IS GREAT.

    • Posted By: hmgonzales @ 02/14/2008 3:31:25 AM

Who cares what is on those channels. If someone doesn't want their kids to see them put the parental conrols on so they cant watch. Parents have the control over their kids, not the tv or the stores or anywhere else. And if parents would talk to their kids then they would know the consequenses.

Another example of how American morals, values, and what they find important has deteriorated over time and how weak their focus on faith and spirituality is so apparent in the exhibit of their hunger for anything the media wants to sell them and fill their lives with. Sex is a gift, not something to be experimented with outside the laws of marriage and I am confident to assume that the majority of consumers seeking these products are not married. What we expose our children, young adults, and yes, even ourselves to should not be opinion; we should have higher standards as a country, culture, and society.

    • Posted By: hmgonzales @ 02/14/2008 3:21:39 AM

just b/c someone is buying these products doesn't mean they aren't married. And even if they aren't it is none of your business!! If we as a society would teach our children better we wouldn't be having this discusion. Parents need to step up to the plate and talk to their kids. Whether abstinence or safe sex.

    • Posted By: hairsprayhead @ 02/14/2008 12:36:06 AM

Really? So the fact that I have a chronic condition (Lupus and Sjogren's Syndrome, look it up) and I turn drier than a raisin in the sun and I need (yes NEED) a personal lubricant to enjoy sex with my husband means my morals have headed down the toilet? Who are you to stand in line at Wal Mart and make snap judgments on what others are buying? It's a very bold assumption to make that people purchasing these products are "not married" and have lost their "morals and values". Get over yourself.

    • Posted By: hairsprayhead @ 02/14/2008 12:29:40 AM

Really? So the fact that I have a medical condition (Lupus and Sjogren's Syndrome, look it up) and turn drier than a prune and NEED (yes NEED) lubricant in order to enjoy sex with my husband is an example of how my morals are going down the toilet? Get over yourself. I'd hate to think that someone like you is standing behind me in line at Walmart thinking i have "loose morals"- wake up and stop being so judgmental.

      GGet over yourself.

to the people who are worried about children seeing these items while in the store-don't take your kids with you while shopping for these items and start telling other parents to stop letting their kids run rampant through a store unsupervised. last time i checked, stores weren't playgrounds. i also saw a comment saying that if a person is in a happy and healthy marriage, they wouldn't need sex toys. try talking to military wives who find that their husbands will be deployed for 12 - 18 months. they have 2 options--use a sex toy or cheat on their husband. i think i know which is the better choice.

    • Posted By: SlpAwy @ 02/14/2008 3:18:01 AM

So what if kids see these types of things or what many might consider worse. What is inherently wrong with these items, nudity, or even sex? Why is it considered so dirty and make so many people so uncomfortable to even discuss or see anything relating to it? I have seen nothing good come out of sexual repressive societies. Personally, I think this type of attitude contributes to deviant desires and often, actions. I hope stores everywhere become far more open-minded to all types of tasteful sexual items. And then when kids ask what they are, tell them honestly. I believe this would be far more beneficial to children than the guilt-ridden line of thinking too often spewed today. All efforts to shield kids has only ever seemed to make them more curious later and often less informed and more likely to feel guilty and off to who knows what possible mistakes. Hopefully we'll have another age of enlightenment on the subject soon to counteract all the B.S. I see now. We'd all be happier and better off as a society.

What a bunch of hypocrites on part of Walmart since they like to tell hard working musicians like Hank III what he has to record in order to have his cd sold at there stores...

    Attention Everyone:

This is Naoki Nakashima (known for my rallying motto "Go to Chicago!'), and I constrain you to cease this online oppugning once and for all, and for the sake of your planet. Normally, I would not address my opinions to a general public audience, but unfortunately, this topic has breached the furthest security boundaries and must terminate; the latter is also a falsehood, for the population procreation industry has frequently been proved counterfactual. Even though my energetic cousin Rachel (aka Reiko-Chan) continues to perforate through your comments, she does have a point: Your age group has contributed to a multitude of factors which sow the geneseeds of global corruption, and once you begin to realise how corrupted this miserable planet really is, why decapitate it to an even greater extent? True adults, even though they are members (myself included, to be true, pardon any puns) belong to the age grouping turned culture who are to blame for such dropping standards they have promoted, are intellectual figures whom abstain from malicious tendencies and their erroneous counterparts, whom they refer to as "true, average, and reasonable". Sorry, I greatly refuse to accept such stupidity as the answer to your complaints, so listen to the Cortexes and surrender your industry to the inferior lifeforms whom accept anything directed solitarily toward them. As a final reminder: Post no bills nor any further comments.

Thank you for your patronage and cooperation,
    Naoki Nakashima
