    this is a stupid issue to even be discussing, KY jelly has been marketed in the open for years and no one makes a big whoop over that and it is best known as a sex lubricant, so why the fuss over another lubricant named Wet? Worry when they start putting dildos on the shelf!

They've been selling K-Y and Astroglide at drugstores for a long time (I can say at least 10 years for sure). It is supposed to be big news that Wal-Mart sells lubricants now? What next - a titillating story about how you can by women's underwear at Target? Geez louise.

    I think just the Topic and how it is Displayed made this whole subject seem sleazy and perverted and that is exactly what they wanted. This was a great topic and caused a key debate. Red Light Specials..makes it sound like every red blooded human that have had sexual desires and fantasies out to be some kind of ladies of the evening and men that are customers. Well..we aren't...We are normal Human Beings..We are mothers and fathers...single and married...for all different reasons for needing these products and we are stating our ideas about how we feel. This has nothing to do with intercourse , Love making or Sex it has nothing to do with it being in or out of wedlock..(you call it what you want). Human nature...is what it is... My gosh that is how we all got to be on this great planet! We all should be thankful period! WE don't buy our kids playboy, hustler or cosmo...because they are not adults we don't even point it out to them...so what makes anyone think that kids will see all this stuff it won't be the Blue Light Special like K-mart used to have...its on the shelf where its always been!

    It is amazing to me that people get upset about lubricants and sexual aids. I am 64 and my husband has been impotent for a long time. I am not ashamed to say that I use lubricants and sexual aids. I rather be happy than depressed. So am I supposed to give up sex and live like a nun?? But then I am from Europe and we think of sex as a natural thing. I wonder why Americans think it so bad? Its on TV, acresses where dresses down to their belly buttons. Everyone does it but no one talks about it. Look at your teen pregnacy. If you would discuss things more honestly it might be better. But then religion always comes into the equation. Why don't you live and let live!
    Tammy I agree with you, its a matter on how you present yourself not what you do in the privacy of your own home.

      I am sorry, but sex is not disgusting, it a natural part of life. It is not a natural part of yours then get a life. Sex should not be hidden from children...when you hide things that is when it becomes bad. I am NOT saying have sex infront of your children, but lets be realistic. Children find out about sex at very young age. Do you want your child to find out about sex on the school bus? or should you tell them about it yourself. Sex is a very healthy part of life if done in a mature matter. I personally suffer from vaginal dryness and it hurts tremendously. I could not enjoy sex at all if it were not for lubricant. I am a happily married woman with an 11 year old child with whom I have had the sex talk with as she ages over many years. She understands that it is something that you do when you are older and live in your own house with your spouse. She also understands what happens if you have sex when you are to young and what happens when you don't use protection. Un-protected sex means death by sex. Lets educate our children, I mean for petes sake we had them didn't we, so isn't it our responsiblity to educate and love them?

So, as a note to officials, stop referring to this industry and associated contributions as "adult" (which in my opinion, despite the fact that I am 32 years of age and counting, is a preeminent swear-word if releveant to the industry and its components; this moral should be indoctrinated into the worldwide lexicon), and start referring to it as "personal" (as in "personal products"), "completely relevant to biology and anatomy", and "a component of nature and its capability of procreation", as the latter is in reality a self-serving scam for its participants to acquire money by the million. The negatives of the industry may, beginning today, shall be thence referred to as "filthy", "crude", "unintelligent", "pornographic", "obscene", "vulgar", and synonyms of such. I have referred to the Free Speech Coalition as these aforementioned terms myself, as the "coalition" is yet another scam to promote the growth of sex-related businesses, and according to a timeline, they are predicted to increase fivefold the ensuing year (which I have calculated as definitely false!). Part of the beauty of sex is the fact that it should be discreet & romantic. If you choose to get frisky & kinky, do it in the privacy of YOUR own space, not mine. If I wanted to buy or look at stuff like that, I'd do it either on the internet or in an ADULT STORE. Let's strike a happy medium here.     Ya know what???? LIfe is sexually transmitted! And our country is sooo very strange about this subject! We have no problem letting our children watch someone getting shot in a movie on t.v. or listen to some ridiculous lyrics from music...but lets push our kids out of the room when something as natural as Sex comes on the screen! Makes no sense! I have no problem with these stores selling these products! The act of sex has been obviously happening since the very beginning of time!!!!!!!! Selling products that enhance this act is a great thing!!! Hell, I'd rather see these products on the shelves, then some of the clothing that is being sold...such as shirts for young girls that say" You Know you want Me" ....Hello!!!!!!!! Yep, some people will complain about such items being sold, but turn around and by their daughter T shirts that make her look trashy! Gotta love our world!

    Its lubricant, nothing more. I do not understand why so many get so bothered by the thought of sex,(intercourse) Do you buy condoms? That is for a sexual purpose, and I do not see such an uproar about it. Sex, is not a bad thing. Do you buy vaginal wash.. because many women use that after intercourse as well? and OMG, it has the word vaginal right on the box.......... KY Jelly has been in the stores for a long time... why now all the craziness over another lubricant.

I think not, so therefore, I believe it is called "Judging" and spiritually you know what it says in the bible about judging others.
    No one exposes your children to anything that you do not allow them to view. It is not the worlds job to teach your children and guide them... it is yours.
    Huntress, what do you think procreation is? it is not immaculate conception.... there was intercourse involved. Be it love or so, it is still involving intercourse.

    This is to judgewaco-- Not everybody has to believe the same way you do. That is the beauty of living in America!!!! We can go to Wal-Mart and buy "personal lubricant" and not get that feeling that the sex police are going to arrest us for wanting some private pleasure. Besides the Bible doesn't say anything about not having good sex with your partner.

    Well whynot, after all you can find douches, condoms, kotex and other things that years ago you would never have found on a shelf even at the local pharmacy. As for the other more exotic things you used to be able to find at an Adult Book Store, on Valentines and other special occassions, well you may as well put them on the top shelf at the store, because most ABS's have been closed down. Probably by the same people who were afraid to go to them to buy items and now want them at WalMart. I'm getting a really big laugh out of this because of the comical side of this discussion.

    Okay I know I keep writing this...but this really fasinates me how some people are still in the dark. I put not so innocent because about 12 years ago I was a very NAIVE person. Now, I have learned alot..and I am very open to have these things offered in a discreet way where I have access to them without feeling I am being judged because I want to be safe and have a healthy sex life. My son when he was 13 found my toy when I was moving furniture around in my room and he happened to see it and ask me what it was. I was honest and said..." Your mom is a very healthy woman with healthy needs" I explained that instead of being sexually permisqcuious with men I don't know I do it on my own..knowing where it has been. He was happy with that answer...Masterbation is NOT unhealthy and is not against the law. Teach your children the truth and they will respect that. Teach them it is dirty and a secret..and they will be sure to GET that message...and act out like it is. Kids are smarter than you know...I think its some adults that are afraid of it.
