I find it interesting to read the comparison between obscenity laws and firearms laws, but it does illustrate a point. Items in both categories are great to have when you need them, but proper handling of both is in order. On the subject of sex, I enjoy it but I am also an adult. I don't think such things should be prominently displayed where children can view them and ask always well-timed questions about them. I believe they should be properly educated about sex, but the extent of that education should be under the control of the parents and not the government. Unfortunately many parents neglect this facet of their children's lives and they are left to learn from their peers or the media, to include the porn industry. If Wal-Mart wants to sell such lubricants and devices, let them, but please do it responsibly so that if parents don't want their children exposed to such products, they can keep their children away from that section. Conversely, perhaps having such items for sale will provide a forum for parents to broach the subject with their kids. I suspect that despite having children, too many parents don't understand that having a healthy, imaginative sex life is a good thing. Like anything, just don't let it become obsessive.
