Comment: nawawimohamad you have got to be kidding. You can't be serious. Mughniyeh was NEVER EVER going to be a CIA mole. He was an Islamic terrorist sworn to destroy both the US and ISRAEL. Arabs are whining that the the US killed him which is absolutely ludicrous. The US and ISRAEL don't do car bombs. We have a jet drop a bomb on your head!! These Islamic idiots kill each other all the time. Routine cleaning of the gene pool.
Comment: Bipartisan Congressional allegiance to obstruction of justice in the Executive Branch is a Congress failed in its duty to protect, serve, and defend the Constitution of the United States.
Comment: Glad he's dead...
Comment: Good....the more of these idiot "martyrs" we can lay waste to, the better. Brainwashed idiots, all of them.
Comment: Is all these anonymity reporting Going to set in motion justification to attack Iran? This article sounds inportant if true good. But I don,t believe or care for Anonymity reporting.
Comment: Why the US can let Mughniyeh to be assassinated so easily without a second thought on the possibility that he could be persuaded to become a CIA mole or could be captured and interrogated is a very big question. Unless of course he was killed on purpose; to hide something or the US is only interested in maintaining the status quo. The US intelligence agencies have on so many occasions told us of their frustrations in getting good, timely and relevant intelligence and if Mughniyeh is of such a high rank, he ought to be captured. However many of those potential moles or informants (through interrogations) were just wasted.
It seems that the US policy is just kill, kill and kill.
Comment: That last comment is interesting: Syrian military intelligence. From what I understand, for all their supposed solidarity, Syria and Iran represent very opposite views of Islam. Syria's rulers are members of the Baath party which under Saddam Hussein waged a long bloody war with Iran ruled by Shiites. Syria and Iran give weapons to opposing militias in Iraq who, in turn, kill each other. We need to stop thinking of all Muslims as one and the same. Al-Qaeda is an outgrowth of Wahhabism, affiliated with Sunnis. The Sunnins and the Shiites have been enemies for about 1,400 years or so. Also, we need to find smarter ways to fight terrorism - such as finding ways to address the soaring unemployment and poverty rates in urban areas in the Middle East. We need to consider so-called "soft diplomacy" as the new "hard."
