THIS IS WHY AMERICANS ARE VOTING FOR SEN. OBAMA, AND NOT SEN. CLINTON. SOME PEOPLE ARE COMMENTING THAT SEN. OBAMA DOESN'T HAVE EXPERIENCE, AND THAT HE HASN'T DONE HIS JOB IN CONGRESS, WELL HERE ARE THE FACTS.

-Senator Clinton, who has served only one full term - 6yrs. - and another year campaigning, has managed to author and pass into law - 20 - twenty pieces of legislation in her first six years.

These bills can be found on the website of the Library of Congress www.thomas.loc.gov, but to save you trouble, I'll post them here for you.

    1. Establish the Kate Mullany National Historic Site.

    2. Support the goals and ideals of Better Hearing and Speech Month.

    3. Recognize the Ellis Island Medal of Honor.

    4. Name courthouse after Thurgood Marshall.

    5. Name courthouse after James L. Watson.

    6. Name post office after Jonn A. O'Shea.

    7. Designate Aug. 7, 2003, as National Purple Heart Recognition Day.

    8. Support the goals and ideals of National Purple Heart Recognition Day.

    9. Honor the life and legacy of Alexander Hamilton on the bicentennial of his death.

    10. Congratulate the Syracuse Univ. Orange Men's Lacrosse Team on winning the championship.

    11. Congratulate the Le Moyne College Dolphins Men's Lacrosse Team on winning the championship.

    12. Establish the 225th Anniversary of the American Revolution Commemorative Program.

    13. Name post office after Sergeant Riayan A. Tejeda.

    14. Honor Shirley Chisholm for her service to the nation and express condolences on her death.

    15. Honor John J. Downing, Brian Fahey, and Harry Ford, firefighters who lost their lives on duty. Only five of Clinton's bills are, more substantive. 16. Extend period of unemployment assistance to victims of 9/11.

    17. Pay for city projects in response to 9/11 18. Assist landmine victims in other countries.

    19. Assist family caregivers in accessing affordable respite care.

    20. Designate part of the National Forest System in Puerto Rico as protected in the wilderness preservation system.

There you have it, the fact's straight from the Senate Record.

Sen. Obama's Record- During the first (8)eight years of his elected service he sponsored over 820 bills. He introduced...

    233 regarding healthcare reform,

125 on poverty and public assistance,

    112 crime fighting bills,

    97 economic bills,

60 human rights and anti-discrimination bills,

    21 ethics reform bills,

    15 gun control,

6 veterans affairs and many others.
all, since entering the U.S. Senate, Senator Obama has written 890 bills and co-sponsored another 1096.

An impressive record, for someone who supposedly has no record according to some who would prefer that this comparison not be made public.

    He's not just a talker.

    He's a doer.

    Pass it on....It's impressive

The Clintons have the track record for a good economy for The Middle Class. When it comes to money for my family, I dont want to leave it to hope.

    Hey Texas,
abfann has it wrong.Don't let media control you..that's right. Don't let them tell you that just because you're Latino, you're going to vote Clinton. We are all coming out of the boxes the media wants us to be in, and making up our own minds.

Bravo Conchita. That's what makes us a great country, we all have brains to think for ourself.

OBAMA HAS TO push the WAR ISSUE IN TEXAS AN OHIO. HE HAS TO MAKE IT CLEAR THAT HIS plan will save BILLIONS for taxpayers. THIS MONEY IS NEEDED QUICKLY IN OHIO in order to get individuals back to work. Many of them lost their jobs as a result of the FREE TRADE AGREEMENT HILLARY VOTED FOR.

AS A RESULT 93,000 people in the state are living WITHOUT unemployment benefits, God and guns can't compete with economic issues. THIS IS WHY ALL THE UNIONS ARE supporting OBAMA
OBAMA VOTED AGAINST THE AGREEMENT AND HAS BEEN AN ADVOCATE FOR KEEpING JOBS HERE AT HOME.

REMEMBER KARL ROVE CLEVERLY SLIppED IN GAY MARRIAGE ON THE OHIO BALLOT in 2004. AS a

RESULT BUSH WON NARROWLY OVER KERRY. THIS TIME ECONOMICS WILL BE THE NUMBER ONE ISSUE IN OHIO AND TEXAS.
THE WAR AND THE ECONOMY ARE DIRECTLY LINKED.

THERE IS NO WAY WAY ONE CAN FUND THE WAR AND HEALTH CARE. OBAMA HEALTH plan has a better chance to pass CONGRESS AND THE SENATE. HILLARY IS TO DIVISIVE AND the REpUBLICANS WILL BLOCK HER "big" AGENDA ISSUES as they did in ninety four.
WILL TEXAS AND OHIO SHOW THE WORLD THAT CALIFORNIA AND NEW YORK NO LONGER DECIDE WHO THE NOMINEE IS. INSTEAD the majority of the AMERICAN people of all STATES, big and small, DECIDE WHO WILL BE THE VICTOR. THIS ALSO SETS A GOOD EXAMple for THE WORLD and a BIG REASON HILLARY WILL NOT BE ABLE TO COMBACK IF SHE LOSES THESE STATES.

"yeah hear the voice all promising with hope"
"yet last time we see jesus, we was white"
"then what is this [?] messiah talking big bout hope"
"lot of words in the bank, yet no cash in action"
"for in actuality, when words can't deliver"
"all we got is recall, to remedy eventual failure"

Maybe if all these people not from this continent go back to where they come from we wouldn't need to worry so much about change. What a joke.

The Latino vote is tremendous because of the number here LEGALLY and, especially in Texas, in this country longer than you your closed mind can imagine.

Change..what change? Don't be Bamboozled with all that change talk.. Hillary has the experience, that's what counts. Let's look back at the good economic times of Pres. Clinton.
    Latino...siempre par Hillary.

I thought this was settled. Huckabee is the only candidate with executive experience. Being first lady is not experience. If you are counting years as a senator, Obama would win (combining the state and fedral levels).

This augument is baseless and redundant. Get a new one.

TEXAS: The eyes of this country are upon you!!! Please vote with careful consideration.
When you vote, don???t believe the Clinton campaign when it asserts that Barack Obama is not qualified to lead this country. Obama???s great background exceeds Hillary???s qualifications. Here are a few highlights from Barack Obama???s resume???
He graduated in the top 1% of his class at Harvard Law School with a major in Constitutional Law, and was elected President of the Harvard Law Review - a great honor.
Hillary graduated in the middle of her class and flunked her law exam TWICE (this is true, check it out !!)
Obama could have gotten a high paying prestigious job, but opted to work as a community organizer in the poor sections of Chicago helping blacks, hispanics and others to gain a political voice and get ahead.
Obama then worked for years as a Civil Rights lawyer representing a wide range of clients.
He also worked as a Professor of Constitutional Law at the University of Chicago.
For her ENTIRE CAREER in Arkansas, Hillary worked as a CORPORATE LAWYER representing large companies in lawsuits against them.
Hillary then became First Lady when Bill won the election, and for 8 years the one ???real??? project she headed was Health Care Reform, in which she failed miserably.
Barack Obama served as State Senator of Illinois for 8 years, and he has been U.S. Senator for the last 3 years. He has a total of 11 years in ELECTED PUBLIC OFFICE.
Hillary has a total of 6 years in ELECTED PUBLIC OFFICE.
You be the judge. Who???s background is more relevant ?

    • Posted By: stlopez17 @ 02/15/2008 5:51:25 AM

shows she learned from her mistakes, shes made a few mistakes but she always comes back and corrects them or try to. we need a president that can admit theyve made mistakes but are willing to correct them instead of being a bush and just not caring and just shrugg his shoulders

    HILLARY'S LAST STAND
    in OHIO and TEXAS

THERE IS NO DOUBT THAT HILLARY"S CAMpaign in TEXAS AND OHIO WILL BE DESperate. THE MESSAGE HAS BEEN SENT THAT SHE MUST WIN THESE STATES. IT is her LAST STAND.
JUST like the famous battle of thermopylae in 480 BC HILLARY IS MAKING HER LAST STAND.
HILLARY AND HER ARMY OF LATINO'S HOpe to SWEEp TEXAS AND OHIO.
OBAMA CANNOT COMpete with her desperate grass roots campaign.
SO HE HAS TO WIN THE BATTLE IN THE MEDIA.
HE HAS TO BLITZ TEXAS WITH COMMERICIALS AND HUGE STATIUM LIKE RALLY's.
OBAMA HAS TO WELL in THESE STATES and at least win one.
WILL TEXAS AND OHIO SEND A MESSAGE TO THE WORLD THAT CALIFORNIA AND NEW YORK NO LONGER DECIDE WHO THE NOMINEE WILL BE.
THIS WILL BE VERY HISTORIC AND is a SIGN OF THAT EVERY STATE COUNTS.
HILLARY MADE A BIG MISTAKE NOT FIGHTING IN WISCONSIN.

I remember a time in my life when I hadn't eaten in 4 days.I remember my throat feeling raw after finally ingesting food after going without it for so long.Folks obama knows whats it's like to go hungry. He dosen't have to pretend to be one of us because he is one of us.I don't know alot about politics but I am good at reading people. It is pretty obvious to me that hillary does not know what it is like to be truly hungry unless she just forgot to eat that day. When I see her talking to my latino brothers and sisters (as if she understands their plight)I whince.

Comment: Obama isn't trying to learn Politics. Obama knows more about politics than some of the most seasoned politicians in our seats. His life has been a study of politics. His job has been a study of politics. Obama didn't just haphazardly wake up one morning and say, "hey I think I'll be the president of the United States so I can go to the White House and learn about politics and PLAY with the immense responsibility of being the president of the United States." Again, he isn't whimsically dreaming. He has been consistent, dependable, and determined in working toward our vision as citizens of the United States. He has listened to our cries. He is extremely insightful, strong-minded, and logical, as he demonstrated in not voting for a war that has put us in a worse and more vulnerable position.

Hillary Clinton has an obsessive personality that can get real out of hand. She is a power-driven, angry woman who is disguising herself, as some caring, nurturing, and saintly 'liberated woman'. She uses the vehicle of 'Universal Health care' , which sounds good, but when you read further into what she is REALLY attempting to do, you will see the fascist attitude that is evolving from this vehicle called 'Universal Health Care' that she is continually touting about as if it is the 'savior of this country'. Hillary could end up being worse than Bush ever was, because of the clever way in which the Clinton machine can charm the brains right out of people's heads, so much so, that people won't even READ and do their own RESEARCH to see what is really being revealed from Hillary's lips. Times columnist Andres writes. He adds that, "despite her reassuring rhetoric" that her health care proposal is not a "government takeover" and contains no "new bureaucracy," Clinton proposes to "use the heavy hand of government" to require all residents to obtain health insurance. Her "near-religious zeal to force universal coverage strikes some as odd," Andres writes, adding, "Why compel someone to buy something he or she can't afford?" According to Andres, the "financial penalties for those who fail to purchase insurance ... stirs significant opposition," and Clinton "opened a political can of worms" when she said that she might seek to garnish the wages of residents who can afford health insurance but do not obtain coverage. "Improving health care is a salient bread-and-butter election issue this year," Andres writes, adding, "Compelling everyone to buy a product, whether he wants it or not ... sounds more like a mandate for defeat than a promise of political success" (Andres, Washington Times, 2/14).

The few who worry about the Republicans chewing up Obama in the general election seem to overlook Hill-billies past. Vince Foster, Whitewater.....to name a few. Not only are some of her past indiscretions foolish, but illegal as well. In the words of Tina Turner.....we don't need another hero, we need a President who can rally Americans together and make this a nation that can once again stand tall and proud. And to think, I was a lifelong Republican until Mr. Obama embarked on this campaign. He's my choice for a better life in these United States of America

    • Posted By: TheCenter @ 02/14/2008 9:36:45 PM

Remember, the last President that made you stand tall and proud was Ronald Reagan. How'd that work out for the average American? Latino, African-American, Asian, Woman, Gay? Vote with your head, not your heart. Ronald Reagan gave buried us in red ink and debt, and created a country of everyone for themselves. And, he had experience! The Clintons gave us peace, prosperity and a gentler country, respected around the world. You don't want that? You wanna vote for an inexperienced, good speaker, who you'd like to have a beer with? Remember what happended when America voted for the last party boy? GW Bush. As an Illinois resident I can tell you Barack Obama is a nice man, but wouldn't be as good a President as Hillary Clinton.

In the 80's Reagan gave us a booming economy and Demoncratic inflation finally under control. In the 90's the Hillary health plan gave us Newt Gingrich and the Republican Congress who, in turn, gave us a booming economy by slamming on the brakes on wasteful spending. A little history goes a long way sometimes.

Record. Now, I would post those of Obama's, but the list is too substantive, so I'll mainly categorize. During the first (8) eight months of his elected service he sponsored over 820 bills. He introduced 233 regarding healthcare reform, 125 on poverty and public assistance, 112 crime fighting bills, 97 economic bills, 60 human rights and anti-discrimination bills, 21 ethics reform bills, 15 gun control, 6 veterans affairs and many others. His first year in the U.S. Senate, he authored 152 bills and co-sponsored another 427. These inculded **the Coburn-Obama Government Transparency Act of 2006 (became law), **The Lugar-Obama Nuclear Non-proliferation and Conventional Weapons Threat Reduction Act, (became law), **The Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act, passed the Senate, **The 2007 Government Ethics Bill, (became law), **The Protection Against Excessive Executive Compensation Bill, (In committee), and many more. In all since he entered the U.S. Senate, Senator Obama has written 890 bills and co-sponsored another 1096. An impressive record, for someone who supposedly has no legislative record. . . . My last point: Obama needs name recognition, he needs to be among the people, so people feel like they have access to him. HRC's debate challenge is more about the fact that her campaign is running low on money and she gets free air-time without spending anything. Would you give up the chance to see 20,000 voters up close and personal to be on a televised debate? No way! Obama, stick to your guns. Debate on your terms, not Hillary's! Go Obama 2008!

Hillary wrote 'It Takes a Village,' demonstrating her Socialist viewpoint. - Hill ary decided to seek election to the Senate in a state she had never lived in. Her husband pardoned FALN terrorists in order to get Latino support and the New Square Hassidim to get Jewish support. Hillary also had Bill pardon her brother's clients, for a small fee, to get financial support. - Then Hillary left the White House, but later had to return $200,000 in White House furniture, china, and artwork she had stolen. - In the campaign for the Senate, Hillary played the 'woman card' by portraying her opponent (Lazio) as a bully picking on her. - Hillary's husband further protected her by asking the National Archives to withhold from the public until 2012 many records of their time in the White House, including much of Hillary's correspondence and her calendars. (There are ongoing lawsuits to force the release of those records.) - As the junior Senator from New York, Hillary has passed no major legislation. She has deferred to the senior Senator (Schumer) to tend to the needs of New Yorkers, even on the hot issue of medical problems of workers involved in the cleanup of Ground Zero after 9/11. - Hillary's one notable vote; supporting the plan to invade Iraq, she has since disavowed. Quite a resume?. Sounds more like an organized crime family?s rap sheet. please read the following information gathered from the Library of Congress.

  • Posted By: khalil78 @ 02/15/2008 12:57:33 AM

Hillary also recommended a close friend of the Clintons, Craig Livingstone, for the position of director of White House security. When Livingstone was investigated for the improper access of up to 900 FBI files of Clinton enemies (?Filegate?) and the widespread use of drugs by White House staff, both Hillary and her husband denied knowing him. FBI agent Dennis Sculimbrene confirmed in a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing in 1996, both the drug use and Hillary's involvement in hiring Livingstone. After that, the FBI closed its White House Liaison Office, after serving seven presidents for over thirty years. - In order to open ?slots? in the White House for her friends the Thomasons (to whom millions of dollars in travel contracts could be awarded), Hillary had the entire staff of the White House Travel Office fired; they were reported to the FBI for 'gross mismanagement' and their reputations ruined. After a thirty-month investigation, only one, Billy Dale, was charged with a crime - mixing personal money with White House funds when he cashed checks. The jury acquitted him in less than two hours. - Another of Hil lary's assumed duties was directing the 'bimbo eruption squad' and scandal defense: ---- She urged her husband not to settle the Paula Jones lawsuit. ---- She refused to release the Whitewater documents, which led to the appointment of Ken Starr as Special Prosecutor. After $80 million dollars of taxpayer money was spent, Starr's investigation led to Monica Lewinsky, which led to Bill lying about and later admitting his affairs. ---- Then they had to settle with Paula Jones after all. ---- And Bill lost his law license for lying to the grand jury ---- And Bill was impeached by the House. ---- And Hillary almost got herself indicted for perjury and obstruction of justice (she avoided it mostly because she repeated, 'I do not recall,' 'I have no recollection,' and 'I don't know' 56 times under oath). -

Interesting: Hillary Clinton has been telling America that she is the most qualified candidate for president based on her 'record,' which she says includes her eight years in the White House as First Lady - or 'co-president' - and her seven years in the Senate. Here is a reminder of what that record includes: - As First Lady, Hillary assumed authority over Health Care Reform, a process that cost the taxpayers over $13 million. She told both Bill Bradley and Patrick Moynihan, key votes needed to pass her legislation, that she would 'demonize' anyone who opposed it. But it was opposed; she couldn't even get it to a vote in a Congress controlled by her own party. (And in the next election, her party lost control of both the House and Senate.) - Hillary assumed authority over selecting a female Attorney General. Her first two recommendations, Zoe Baird and Kimba Wood, were forced to withdraw their names from consideration. She then chose Janet Reno. Janet Reno has since been described by Bill himself as 'my worst mistake.' - Hillary recommended Lani Guanier for head of the Civil Rights Commission. When Guanier's radical views became known, her name had to be withdrawn. - Hillary recommended her former law partners, Web Hubbell, Vince Foster, and William Kennedy for positions in the Justice Department, White House staff, and the Treasury, respectively. Hubbell was later imprisoned, Foster committed suicide, and Kennedy was forced to resign.
