You know, Clinton always speaks of having Experience. Well, first of all Obama does have political as well as true human Experience that is for sure, but we also have to be very careful of people who run around talking about Experience as if it is the standard quality to measure superb leadership. Many people who run around touting of their 'Experience' are often very resistant to change, even if it is positive, because the mindset that goes around shouting "Experience over here!" Experience over here!" is usually a mindset that is very dogmatic, stubborn, and resistant to any one else's input. Some of my worse experiences, have been with people who shout and brag of their "experience" as if because they have 'been there and done that', they have all the answers and can now generalize their answers to every issue and every problem. There is a danger in depending on our 'experience'. Many of the problems that we face, require us looking at them with renewed perception, open-mindedness, creativity and the idea that we may not have the answer, but that we'll sure as heck get to the answer by surrounding ourselves with the people we feel may be able to help us find the answer. This is what Obama does. He uses the experts and he doesn't pretend to know everything (no one does, in spite of "experience" know in their mind the right thing to do all the time) Neither is there any strong empirical evidence supporting the fact that with "Experience" comes 'Wisdom' . I could be 'experienced' in having children and still be a horrible mother, even after all that 'experience. Things change, and issues mutate, and even though I have experienced a Monday, doesn't mean that I can generalize what a Monday should be like for everyone. Many people want to feel like they can know the formula, to how every problem will be solved. Well, let me tell say, some of the most complex problems are solved with the mindset of sitting at the table communicating, listening, and finding constructive and creative ways to reach the solution-TOGETHER. This is what OBAMA provides. He provides the mindset of bringing the thinking people together to sit down and talk. It may sound corny, but what really helps people to solve complex problems is jumping over the barriers of stubbornness, and taking our Brethren by the hand, stereotypes and all. Time has an End. Obama is the person who is reminding us of these very important lessons. Besides that, Obama is NOT and Never has been working 'on a whim' and 'on hope' alone. He has solid plans. That is how he got where he is today.

Comment: Even the worse politicians, try to appear as if they are really and sincerely for the people. Clinton hasn't made any truly personable changes for the masses, just a few superficial and strategic additions of her signature that will look ok on her resume. Clinton is no different to the elite wealthy who look to continue controlling the masses with lies and making them feel good about it at the same time. She is quite clever with her 'so-called' motherly approach. If some people can't get past the hatred and contempt that the racism in their hearts is breeding, they will truly miss out on a person with the real plan, the real action, and the real heart for the people, and that person is OBAMA!. Clinton will sign a few bills to pacify the masses and go back to 'business as usual'. She could care less about the working class, Latinos, or women. Clinton is a wealthy lady, a politician, and will continue the status quo of the group that she belongs to, the elite wealthy. Clinton doesn't know what it means to be hungry, unless she forgot to eat. She has no concept of how the working class suffers, of why the immigrants run here for a better life, or the how the average woman has to get by from day to day. She has never tasted of these things- OBAMA has- and Obama has come from the humble beginnings of these experiences. He is a trooper. He is capable and has proven just by his life alone that he is EXPERIENCED in the HUMAN EXPERIENCE. The best leaders have the OBAMA qualities. As Ralph Nader states about the Clinton Administration and what is to come, "To justify his invasion of Iraq, Bush regularly referred in 2002-2003 to Clinton's bombing of Iraq and making "regime change" explicit U.S. policy.

But it was Clinton's insistence on UN-backed economic sanctions in contrast to just military embargos, against Iraq, during his term in office. These sanctions on civilians, a task force of leading American physicians estimated, took half a million Iraqi children's lives." The Clinton administration is hardly the perfect administration. This happened when HILLARY CLINTON was in office. I would like to think that this is not a Fascist country where we are told its a democracy, but all the while only a few families and a few small elite circles are ruling and will continue to control the masses. Prove them wrong and vote OBAMA in for president!

Well, my friends, Barak gave up a lucrative career to dedicate his life to fight for people just like us. He did not do it to get a vote. Imagine someone in the White House who can truly relate to us. Not sort of relate, but fully relate. I do not dislike Hillary as a person, but I really believe this is our time, the opportunity is right before us to elect someone who will lift up and fight for all Americans, and not turn Americans against other Americans. He???s been consistent throughout the whole campaign, and has not had to re-invent himself several times. He has years of experience at the State level, and then as a U.S. Senator working on behalf of and fighting for the lives of ordinary Americans. I believe the choice is clear; we cannot afford to move backwards, but forward with a President for all of America???that is Barak Obama. I hope we don???t let this opportunity slip by.

You are full of it. I was at Gilley's. I was in that mob and I saw plenty of people signing to support the Latino cause. The sign may have fallen, but so did the food line and so did the housing line. There were plenty of people in every line. Gilley would just not allow the signs to be taped to the wall, so they had to be taken down and held up high so the people in the back of the line could see what they were standing in line for. Maybe the sign did fall on the floor for a brief period of time, but surely you did notice that it was a mad rush to volunteer for what you could help with.

    97 economic bills,

60 human rights and anti-discrimination bills,

    He's not just a talker.

    He's a doer.

If Clinton cares sooo much about Latinos, please tell me how has she truly improved their issues in their communities. Clinton wants to deport and wants their vote, after the Latinos vote for her, she will exit and be grateful that those who voted for her were still living in the dark ages and supportive of their own oppression and acceptance of a status quo that wouldn't make one Latino a true voice within this country. Would she be so 'accepting' and 'loving' of her Latino voters to make a Latino a vice president?...I think not..because the kind of thinking that drives the Clinton campaign is the kind of thinking that allows the 'good ole boys' to capitalize on the ignorance and brainwashing of others..Please don't continue to be foolish..We need TRUTH not LIES!

Along with Senator Ted Kennedy, she was the major force behind the State Children's Health Insurance Program in 1997, a federal effort that provided state support for children whose parents were unable to provide them with health coverage.[138] She promoted nationwide immunization against childhood illnesses and encouraged older women to seek a mammogram to detect breast cancer, with coverage provided by Medicare.[139] She successfully sought to increase research funding for prostate cancer and childhood asthma at the National Institutes of Health.[48] The First Lady worked to investigate reports of an illness that affected veterans of the Gulf War, which became known as the Gulf War syndrome.[48] Together with Attorney General Janet Reno, Clinton helped create the Office on Violence Against Women at the Department of Justice.[48] In 1997, she initiated and shepherded the Adoption and Safe Families Act

Now, I would post those of Obama's, but the list is too substantive, so I'll mainly categorize.

During the first - 8 - eight years of his elected service he sponsored over 820 bills. He introduced

    233 regarding healthcare reform,

Great example of shoddy reporting. "A third to a half of the voters casting ballots in Texas's Democratic primary are expected to be Latino" is a bogus statement. Only 24% of the voters in the 2004 Texas Democratic primary election were Latino; 21% were African American. The demographics have changed in the last four years but not by that much. Not only that, but Obama has drawn huge turnout from African American voters in previous states. Don't be surprised if he gets more African American votes than Hillary gets Latino votes, which would mean 1) white vote will decide the outcome and 2) the margin of victory will be single digits, which means no one will pick up a big edge in delegates either way. Since Obama is up by 135 or so pledged delegates already, that's a good outcome for him. It also helps Obama that the delegate allocation is based on 2004 turnout. He could lose the popular vote 55-45 and get the same number of delegates.

In my humble opinion, Obama is not just a "speaker" -- he is a doer. He has helped pass more bills on important issues in his yearws in senate than Hillary in "more" time. He has concrete plans but more importantly the willingness and skill to move as a group to get things done. time and again he has said "Real change happens from Bottom-up". I think Hillary campaign's is so negative and she sounds so power hungary.

I'm not sure why the good Christian folk on the right are so in love with hating Hillary, but they are. I think that her emerging as the nominee would counter the right's resistance to getting in bed with McCain. i don't think they would be so willing to sign-off on him if he runs against Obama. That alone argues for an Obama nomination. Beyond that, however, look at the inspiration and the energy this man has sitrred up in young people new to the political process. Barack Obama represents the new horizon in American politics. A man who has not been soiled by years of operating inside Washington. Hillary has served this country for many years, that is true. But her track record is not all that good. Remember, her attempt to create universal health care was done in secret and when it was unveiled, the backlas was so bad that the Democrats lost both houses of Congress in the 94 elections. So when she talks of her experience fighting for universal health care, she speaks the truth. She does have a wealth of exprerience on that front. And the experience is that of abysmal failure. A failure so far-reaching and devastating that it gave birth to the Newt Gingrich era. Is that the experience we want to put up against the GOP in November? I think not. There is only one candidate in this race who holds forth the prospect of real change for our weary nation and that candidate is Barack Obama.

Good article, however, I believe there is factual error made on it. Latinos comprise about 25-29% of registered voters. Of that total, according to the 2004 elections, only a quarter of that total went to the polls. In other words, historically speaking, latinos generally do not come out in masse to vote.

Wow Gretal, you missed out on the Latino support?????? What about the Two Hispanic Congressmen, Anchia and Alonzo, that addressed the crowd. If you missed that small detail, how insightful could the rest of your piece be???/ Nice try Clintonite......
