I think it's great Mitt came around. He might be feathering his nest. I think he should be the vice president and with McCain not getting any younger, well, you never know.....

I am pretty sure it is republicans who have been voting for McCain, I'm pretty sure there is one of two things going on, first , knowing the Dems are going to win they are setting him up to be a patsy, or being ashamed that after seeing what true conservative republicanism is under Bush they desire to now be Dems but can't take the full step because of the intolerance they would have to face from their fellow republicans.

One more sheep following the herd.

One more sheep following the herd? Or more calculated positioning for the future?
So much for Mitt's personal convictions.

HA, HA, HA!!! all you REAL conservatives must be gagging after ROmney (the ex-moderate) turn his sword over to McCain (a true conservative),. McCain has beeen bashed by you yahoos for weeks! As I said before jump on board now. You're either on the train or on the tracks!

John McCain is more of a Churchill than a Reagan, and that is not meant to be an insult. A thorn in the side to many in his party, he will win the election in November and be remembered as one who put country above party and that is a good thing. For the sake of National security, please do not let Barack or Hillary be stared down by Ahmadinejad, Chavez, the Russians or the Chinese. Debate, speak your voice, convince others, but for goodness sake, put your focus on Barack and Hillary!

Scribblez, drink the Obama Hillary Kool-Aid, I am really impressed by your stubborn, short sighted, march over the cliff, attitude. I would rather have a man like Romney who can "flip" for the good of the party and the country. Stay at home and try to figure out how your going to pay those hight taxes when the dems win. It is going to be real expensive "kool aid" for you

By withdrawing, Romney has shown he is a quitter. I supported him this time around, but will never again. I don't want a president to be a cold calculator who won't fight for what he believes in. RR never quit - no matter how much the votes were stacked against him. The Repubican party needs an enema - and the only way they will get one is through a resounding defeat at every level come November.

Ronald Reagan did quit, he ran against Gerald Ford in the 1976 primaries and had to withdraw due to not enough support. He then supported Gerald Ford for the Republican nomination. This is exactly the same thing Romney is doing, supporting the nominee for the better of the party and the nation.

Get your facts straight before you post.

You get your facts straight before posting. Reagan did not quit. He went all the way to GOP convention. In the convention, Ford won the nomination.

UNTIL SOME ONE GETS THE NOMINATION, VOTERS MUST HAVE CHANCE TO VOICE THEIR OPINION.

God help us if McCain wins. He is another Bush in waiting.

It's bad enough McCain beat romney down so bad, now he's gotta show the nation romney is his *** too. That's rubbing it in, damn.

East is East, and West is West (symbolizing Romney & McCain)--"...and n'er the twain shall meet.). Ditto, only more so, with McCain & Hucklebee) - Such a sorry outcome for my (formerly) favorite party!

Do I see a VP slot in all this?

    • Posted By: Newzaroo @ 02/15/2008 10:19:10 AM

I've looked into my crystal ball, and I see... John McCain loses in 2008 taking his VP down the tubes with him. Wait, there's something else emerging from the foggy shadows... President Obama and Vice President Hillary are finished in 2012 after raising taxes, losing 5 wars and staining the Oval Office carpets again. Wow, a new vision... Mitt Romney is sworn in as POTUS in 2013. Let history be your guide.

    How appropriate,
    Romney endorses McCain,
    One political whore supporting another.
Don???t worry folks, it???s only our country being sucked down the toilet.
Heck, We all have more than enough money to support a never ending war.
We all have more than enough money to support countries other than our own.
We all lack the intelligence to make our own decisions so we???ll let the media do it for us.
Sorry boys, and girls, I???m out of money. The country is out of money. Too many people have had their hands in the cookie jar, and there isn???t so much as a crumb left.
McCain was one of those with his hands in there. Now Romney is rewarding him.
I think the people that voted for Romney should have the right to rescind that vote and choose some one else. You???ve let the media tell you who to vote for now Mitt is selling your vote to McCain. I would be pretty mad if I was you. Demand to choose another.
Raise your voices and protest his choice. It wasn???t my choice to support McCain. I???m not going to start now by default.

Mike Huckabee has 10+ years of executive experience with an accomplished record to show for it. There IS a candidate that can run this country and WON'T need OJT.

    • Posted By: RetiredMarine @ 02/15/2008 10:03:52 AM

that same argument fits both McCain and Romney.

  • Posted By: Jackman @ 02/15/2008 9:33:36 AM

    Do I smell VP slot?

    • Posted By: capnmoroni @ 02/15/2008 9:49:00 AM

      I sincerely doubt it.

  • Posted By: spongessuck @ 02/15/2008 9:10:33 AM

Romney's endorsement of McCain won't save the Republican Party. McCain is only getting support in blue states that he wouldn't win in the election anyway. If McCain is the GOP nominee, you can count on our next president being a democrat.

I, along with many others I have talked to, can't image voting for McCain. He has no charism, he is too old and not in touch with today's reality. He is old party line and by the way we are broke friends due to the Iraq war. We need to pull back, guard the oil fields, divide the oil revenue equally between the 3 factions and let the Iraq people fight their own civil war.

I ,along with many others I have talked to, can't imagine voting for McCain. He has no charisma, while I am close to his age, I think he is too old and to far removed from todays reality. He is old party line, hey friends we are broke as a nation because of the war.. We need to pull back, guard the oil fields, divide the oil revenues equally between the 3 factions and get out. Let the Iraq fight their own civil war.

As a Mormon and a Republican let me just say how disillusioned I am now with the party. It is obvious as the election played out that bigotry is still rampant. Also, too Mr. Huckabee???s comments made on being the ???Christian??? candidate I find this insulting and very un-Christian. My understanding of a ???Christian??? is someone that is trying to live there life by following Christ???s example. Therefore, in many ways I would argue that many Evangelical Christians demonstration of bigotry is very un-Christian.
