Hizbullah's Imad Mugniyah was responsible for some of the deadliest attacks on Americans on record. His death will likely spark more killings.

Comment: he was an old man.. it seems syrian or iranian COUNTERINTEL GOT TO HIM. so safe in damascus, there is no western intel capable of that level of penetration. its a great propoganda victory to hezbollah and now there hands have been untied for further action against the israelis. you need only look deeper into the world of counterintel. who benefits more my freinds. keeping an old man alive or a dead matyr who needs to be avenged. indeeed strange are the ways of the world

Comment: Bin Laden's family have long-standing business ties to the Bush family, so don't hold your breath. Funny how so many Americans exonerate their own criminal leadership while attacking everyone else's.

Comment: I heard Roland Carnaby and Alan Premel, both former CIA officers speak about William Buckley at a barnes and Noble several weeks ago. I am oblivious to terrorism hunts that still go on. Especially so many years after the crimes have been committed. I am glad that there are dedicated professionals out in world who are brave enough to take on such tasks. I like how the article read that men in the streets supporters of the terrorist would not speak his name. A true claim to true CIA power that even in his own country he was not safe from the long arm of the CIA.

Comment: Thank you for the excellent article. It is extraordinary how few Americans (and some members of the media) know of this man was and how significant his role was in world affairs. It is wonderful that he is no longer around to have influence but it is somewhat disturbing to wonder how one can combat a problem like terrorism when so few even know one its most significant figures.

Comment: Thank you for the excellent article. It is rather scary to think that most Americans, as well as the media, are unaware of how significant this man was in world affairs and how wonderful it is that is is no longer around to have any influence on them.
