Oh shut up! I was born in 1954 and believed that my older and brothers and sisters had started something really new in the late sixties. Unfortunately, I found out it was all baloney when, in 2003, I saw the Emmy Awrads on TV and watched Dustin Hoffman sell out with his rediculous "Good Evening Good Evening Good Evening": opening. The night only got worse after viewing Simon & Garfunfel warble some songs and then fade silently away. No a word in protest. They obediently shut their traps because the television producers of the 2003 Emmy Awards told Hoffman and S&G not to say anything controversal about the Iraq situation. What a bunch of phonies! 1967 was not a revoluionary year. The "new stars" were no more than a bunch of shallow jerks who continued on were only interested in what was popular and porfitable. From what I read in Newsweek and other publications, I hate the phoniness of Harris' book. I glad to know all his revoluionaries live in the best digs. They certainly didn't risk that. But heaven forbid you are caught sell a fake Simon & Garfunkel tee- shirt. You're going down! Good Evening Good Evening Good Evening. .
