Obama is a clone of Duval Patric. Wanna know how good a president he would make? Look at Duvals record in Mass. Romney was going to remove the Turn Pike fee's coating the residents on average $800 a year just to go to work. Duval? Killed the bill and is going to increase the tolls for the "great people" of Mass.
Romney got every person in Mass covered by Health insurance by using the Mass tax revenue. Duval? working with Kennedy/Kerry to build a measure to make the peole pay 20% more than they were prior to Romney putting an end to non health care covered people. Duval smiled and talked just as Obama about hope and change, after he took office he was quoted as stating when asked by the residents on his decisions ( I am not accountable to any of you, only to the people who make the decisions and when I do that, then you can read about what I decided.) Hmmmm pretty good image of what he was selling before he got ellected ayeh? Romney moved to lower mass state tax because Kennedy promised us he would bring it down to under 5% 11 years ago. Result? Crushed! Duval/Kennedy/Kerry are in the works on how to raise state revenue by raising taxes on its people by 22% across the board. Why? because they do not pay taxes, why should they care if the state tax is 90%? OUr party has given us nothing more than ultra left wing fanatics. Its sad to say there hasnt been a real Democrat since JFK. Elect Obama, get Duval, elect Hillary? get another 8 years of her pumping up her own legacy. I would rather vote for Ron Paul and I think the guy has mental issues over any of the idiot we have fro so called change. Yeah, chanhe, from our pockets to theirs,

If anyone wants to know what kind of prez he will make seen as how he compairs his likes to that of Duval Patric.........Just tell me how many are in your familey and you can come stay here in Mass for a month and see the horrific explosion that Duval has ignited in this state. Say whay you will about Romney but the man did more in 4 years that Kerry/Kennedy did combined. Duval painted promises and scored big in this state but as soon as he took office it all changed. Suddenly when asked about issues concerning the state he would reply, (I am governor, when I make the decision, I will let you know, I am not accountable to any people but those who do the decision making) Rimney passed a bill to obolish the Turn Pike fee's that hurt about 60% of the working class buy about 1200 a year in toll's on average, Duval took the plate and tossed the bill and now is going to raise rates. Romnay made a bill to cover every resident in Mass using revenue from the state taxes collected. He figured if the people pay state tax, they should get a peice of it back. Romney also went to lower the state tax as promised by Kennedy nearly 11 years ago.it got slaughtered byt Kennedy/Kerry. Why? Because they do not pay state tazes. Why do they cre if the people have to pay a 90% state tax? Duval is a left wing puppet, not a Democrat. He is for self gain at the cost of the people. What our party has given us for hope is pathetic, Hillary and Obama? Yeah, great talkers, good motivational speakers but facts point to destruction at the cost of the American people for there own legacy.

This is in reponse to Julia55's comments. First and foremost, Senator Obama is doing more to inspire the young peope of this nation than any candidate has since the John F. Kennedy and later his younger brother Bobby. Obama realizes that the young people of this country do not need to have lived through the Clinton administrations (notice the correct spelling of the word) to be able to get to the polls and vote. He realizes that by inspiring the young people of this nation, he will inspire the nation as a whole to be the America of which we all dream. Many will say that his lack of experience is a downfall; however, I see this lack of time spent in national politics as a great benefit in a President. When Senator Obama becomes President Obama, it will end what has become a monarchy in the White House. Perhaps you are not brushed up on your American History, but let me remind you that our founding fathers did not want the United States of America to be like Great Britain: a place where you receive the title of Head of State because someone in your family held the position in earlier years. Furthermore, in regards to your ludacrus statement that people will vote for Obama because of his skin color, look to the polls stating the percentage of women voting for Senator Clinton. America is voting for Obama because he represents the real change we want to see.

Hmmmm, or more likely he is taking advantage of the naivety of young people and targeting them because he knows that you are more likely to buy into anything that is given a new and trendy spin, and look, it worked!!! All it took was a few words on change and some popular faces to get people falling all over themselves like he is Elvis Presley or something!

Obama has had a narrative outlining his plans on his website and in pamphlet form since before the Iowa vote. He even titled it "Blueprint for Change". I guess Hillary is just now thinking this idea might help her own campaign, and has just now come out with her own pamphlet. She even calls it a "Blueprint", just like Obama's. How sweet. Immitation is the most sincere form of flattery. (I'm not sure who to give credit to for my statement regarding immitation but I know we have all heard it somewhere so let's just let it slide, ok?)

That's the major problem for me: Obama's campaign has stayed exactly the same since Iowa, the only difference is a few more celebrities have jumped on board. Come to think of it, if he is supposedly the candidate for change, and he is being widely criticized for not SPEAKING about the issues, why hasn't he CHANGED his strategy?

Hillary has had the media dis-advantage here and her campaign has evolved with every punch thrown her way through her stance on the issues, not her appeal based on celebrity endorsements.

Obama's train is running out. In clear speak, he's peaked early. If he WERE to weazel his way into the nomination, even as a Democrat, I'd vote for McCain. Period.
But as far as this story is concerned, I think it's very true: the Clintons have done a lot for people of color. And not in campaign years. They've been working for average Americans for many, many years. When I read stories about these 20 year old crying and whining abut their support of Obama, I am reminded that they were babies during Bill Clinton's presidency. They only know the GOP rhetoric. They say what fits. For those of us old enough to have voted and lived through those two admonistrations, we know the prosperity enjoyed by this country. Obama was else where. He has 4 years of experience. Nothing. Lots of talking. Talk talk talk. And nothing else. He has nothing to back it up except hiding behing hoping he can fool people who don't know any better and people who are voting for his skin or voting for him because they think it's cool. But then, there is the job that begins January 2009. He's not ready and I'm not going to bet on him just because of a band wagon mentality. There's a huge job ahead spanning 4 years to undo the ridiculousness of the past 7 years and it needs someone that can do more than talk. Would I vote for him after 8 years? Maybe. In the meantime, I think she should stay with what she has. None of them are perfect. They're going to make mistakes, but my house is going for a thinking, action individual and for us, it's Senator Clinton. If not her, we'd rather go with Senator McCain.

The Obama Wave, the Obama Surge, the Obama this the Obama that. He's the media's darling now, but if he is the nominee, you'll see how quickly the right-wing media made up of Newsweek, MSNBC, NBC, and CNN will hightail it over to McCain's camp. They want Obama because they know, a. The Republican tag team will rip him to shreds and b. they know Hillary can beat them because she and Bill both have. No Democrat since has done what Bill did and 1996 -- and Obama's not going to even get that far. Funny thing about the media -- how quickly they turn on you -- Obama's a saint one day and well, he won't be by the general election.

    • Posted By: betsyz @ 02/19/2008 4:39:50 PM

Sorry, you are wrong. Clinton can't beat McCain, but Obama can. That is what the Democratic Party voters should be concentrating on now - not which one is their particular "darling"...but who can win the general election. It really doesn't matter which of the Democratic candidates gets the nomination, they will have a huge battle against John McCain. The best ticket to beat him will be one which has Hillary and Barack together, united for the party. So all the recent nitpicking and negative campaigning by these two is helping the Republican party gain momentum. Getting our country back on track to where it was before G.W. is the ultimate goal.

Unfortunately, EX-President Bill Clinton and Sen. Hillary Clinton, in their obsession for enjoying the power and prestige of Presidency, have lowered themselves very low and are bringing out the worst in their followers. Often it seems they don't know what is fairness, decency or truth. They are trying their best to drag down Sen. Obama to their low level and hurting our Democratic Party. After what Bush-Cheney administration has done to our country, we have no choice but to vote for the Democrat nominee, but I Hope they will make it easier for us to do so by showing more civility. Thank you.

BTW, The slogan Change was taken from Hillary Clinton's volunteer training program from LAST YEAR titled, Ready for Change. His economic proposals are almost line for line from Hillary's Blueprint. And he's the ME TOO on Health care, since Hillary's had a proposal for universal healthcare for a year. Now we find, even his so called riviting speeches are not even his own. Not only is he a liar and a plagarizer. He's just plain phoney, but the media give him one pass after another.

Whatever happens in this primary, Americans (including those that do not make a ton of money) are better off with a democrat as our leader. Democrats 2008!

Hillary likes latinos now. just cuz you like jalapeno peppers and take flowers from a little boy dressed like a mariachi doesn't make you the savior of Latinos.

Look at his website, Obama's plans have been outlined in detail for months now. Much more detail than his opposition.

If the Latino's don't put Hillery in they will for ever pay the price of the black man and the latino's know it. Obama is black first and A Sen second. just llok at rhe vote in other states and it shows The blackman is voting for him cause he is black. He has done nothing to show us he can do anything. He gives a great speech is all he has. What a shame cause he seems like a nice black man.

As far as Hillary Clinton, she just needs to go away. I've never seen 2 people, Hill and Bill who want so much power and will do anything to get it. How can Hill oversea events which goes on around the world and in the United States when she couldn't even take care of the events her husband Bill was doing when he was in the White House? Answer that one question for me. Lord, he isn't even going to be the President, so lets look at all the time he will have to get to know more 21 year old interns. I'm an INDEPENDENT, and most likely will vote Republican, but if I had to choose between Hill, Bill and Obama, I would vote for Obama. He hasn't got any answers to any good questions, like "How is he going to pay for all of these programs, which he proposing?" I will tell you how. "RAISE TAXES", just like Bill did when he became president. It's really all a joke, but I'm sure glad to see the Clinton's have met their match. Thank You: R. W. Shingleton

WHERE ARE THE TAX RETURNS??? If she'll hide that what else will she hide-BEWARE! She is not what you think-HILLARY=FRAUD

Do you really want 28 straight years of a Bush or Clinton in the White House?Bush 1 (4 years), Clinton 1 (8 years), Bush 2 (8 years), Clinton 2 (8 years), during our most critical time, we put it all on the line for two families who only care about their own egos and measure their self worth by their political power. You decide, we need to CHANGE.
