Okay, now I know not enough money has been spent on education, if people think Hillary is a solution. Come on, this whole entire ???Election 2008??? is just another Fox media reality show. There is no democracy in America; the presidency has already been decided in some backroom in Washington by a handful of wealthy families.
All they are required to do is to entertain the masses for a few months ??? let us, the general public, feel like we had some sort of say.

Need proof, just look at the last 3 presidencies ??? come on do you really believe that we (the American people) elected a cocaine addicted, mental challenged Texan to the highest office in the country. It???s got to be a insider joke!
You???re telling me the Republican Party couldn???t find anybody else smarter than Bush!
I???ve got pets that are smarter.

Come on America wake up from your ignorant slumber !!

Thank you, Lady Professor, for taking the time and energy to research the records of these two politicians. The are of politics is, indeed, appearing to have done good things while actually dong only one - maintaining hold on the political position. Oh, for term limitations. Maybe then we'd have statesmen again, who are answerable to their constituencies because they have to actually go home to them!

It's really interesting how much discussion the democratic race has provoked. Even though some ot it has been to point out the weakness in each of the candidate's character or experience, it is certainly refreshing to hear the masses become involved in such a historic election. The Democratic Party has the two best candidates of all the president contenders. That is something to talk about and get excited when you realize that the next president will be a minority, respresenting the masses as it should be in any Democratic Society. Let's celebrate and embrace the fact we have a once in a million opportunity to vote for one of the two best candiates for presidents, lets support our candidate with vigor and loyalty, never forgetting that in the November we must believe that the Democratic Party is the Party for the masses......This is a win-win situation we must not lose sight of that fact......

What would be better than a Clinton whitehouse. Have we all forgotten what Bill did for us while he was president.

The press is favoring Obama. They make it too obvious. I truely believe Clinton will become the
nominee. People like Chris Matthews and the folks at cnn are trying their best to dereail Hilliary.
I hope the train runs over the press.l

Hillary in one of her campaign speeches recently said "you campaign in poetry, but you govern in prose". Great line. Only its not hers. It was said by Mario Cuomo. Hillary did not give him credit in her speech.

Hillary has now said several times "words don't matter." Since she has also said that she believes that, why should we believe anything she says?

You all do realize that even if Clinton wins in Texas she will still have a large deficit to overcome in delegate count. She has to win Texas by an overwhelming margin and that just ain't gonna happen.

The new generation has spoken. Obama for president in 2008. Get over it Clintonians.

Here is some tning which may explain Clinton leads in places like Texas evaporating. The women who were once loyal to her are succumbing to Obama fever.

I was once part of a group report in a social psychology class on experiments which showed discrimination can be based both on race and gender, but gender discrimination was much more acceptable. Not only acceptable to be displayed or voiced, but also acceptable as a personally held belief. There is much less internal discord and pressure to change if no word (like racism) is in our consciousness to accuse. Also, women displayed much more bias against other women than between any other group. Sexist is not a name women fear being called.
One interesting experiment studied helping behavior between pairs which were either male or female and assigned either leader or helper roles. The resulting four "types" were presented with a situation in which a pencil caddy was knocked over by another "type" and they had to choose to help or not. One of my female co-reporters put the results this way: "We suck up to the male bosses and like women in subservient roles."
The female leader was by far the least likely to be helped out during the contrived/planned event and least well thought of when their helper was interviewed. Again, this was the case regardless of helper gender. Females are the only ones which accept; make that "tolerate", discrimination even within their own group.
My conclusion is polling and anecdotal evidence will be skewed. Racism hides in the shadows while sexism will be overrepresented. Comments I have heard on blogs and personally indicate a concern our international standing will be affected by electing either a woman or black man as president. As expected, much less fervor and resistance against the sexist viewpoint

Hillary worked her buns off in Texas back in 1972, but it really was a culture shock for her. She would come into our Dallas office on Sunday afternoons, throwing her white gloves around disgusted, and pout about our not attending church services. When I asked her boyfriend-in-charge about that, he just shrugged and said "Our ox is in the ditch!" and proceeded to explain some new testament parable.

My family is from this area, and my father was a friend of Señor Yzaguirre. I happen to be an Obama man for many reasons. Least among these is the fact that He reminds me of the man in the picture on my wall: JFK. However, there is a divide in my family regarding a loyalty to the Clintons for the attention they have given to the Latino people, and the desire to enact the change that was promised to all Americans by countless administrations. Despite the disagreements during these primaries, I am confident that there will be NO issues about who to vote for in November. We are prepared to vote in one voice for a return to a Democratic administration.

I'm a Mexican-American from McAllen and I'm definitely no Hillary supporter! Sure she may have gone over long ago to get hispanics to vote for her canidate at the time.. What good does that do anyone? She's back there again trying to get people to vote for her this time. The people from el valle should not be so easily distracted from the more important issues. You put another Clinton in the office and the same people will just play musical chairs and sit in other offices.. Nothing will change, in 4 years they'll just say it takes time for changes to show, etc.. Let's get someone fresh, someone smart, someone new in there.. Out with the old, in with the new. Barack Obama all the way!!

I agree with cougarkj.......................Hillary is an opportuntist and will do whatever needs to be done to make history. Hillary does not care about all people, if she did she would not target one group of people and suggest that they will be her winning ticket to the white house. What happened to African Americans, Asians, Caucasians, Native American etc. etc. She is the one who is bringing division to the democratic party by focusing on race. I thought we were the liberal party, sounds like we may not be as free thinking as we
    thought.

I think it's very interesting that Hillary has found it necessary to depend on the Latino vote. Prior to her getting stomped on in South Carolina, it was the African American vote that was so important. It's becoming more and more clear that the Clinton's are just opportunist's that will say what they need to say to get into the white house again. That's a very dangerous place to be, we as the American people really need to pay attention to the character of the person we elect to be the leader of our country. It's obvious that once elected all those promises that are being made by the Clinton machine will not come to pass. Hillary does not care about all people she cares about Hillary, not until Barack spoke about bringing all people together as one, did you hear Hillary speak about that. Hillary's main goal in this election is to be the first woman president and make history, not make any real change. Her camp is doing the same old tactics as before, you can't have change if you continue doing what you did in the past.

Didn't Hillary court the African American vote when it could help her husband most? And now shes dismissive of them as if they rank somewhere in the abstract with all the "insignificant"states and voters who support Obama. Wake up Latin America. You're being played.

THE MEDIA IS THE REAL "BRANDING" POWER BROKER IN THIS ELECTION. WE NO LONGER LIVE IN A DEMOCRACY, SUPERDELAGATES AND MEDIA RUN THE SHOW.

Are you out of your mind i.alex? This weeks Newsweek is all about Obama and his wife. The Obama crowd sure is blinded by the light and no facts!

  • Posted By: i.Alex @ 02/19/2008 7:57:25 AM

Why is Newsweek and MSNBC are constantly filling their news headlines with Hillary's photos when it clearly involves both Barack and her. Is this some type of secret subliminal message that these companies do not support Barack Obama?
