Notice how Alter gave himself away by talking of the rcae as between "two decent men - unless one of them happens to be a woman."

The men are called "decent" but not the woman.

    Is she indecent?

What a contemptible smearer this Alter is !

    THOSFIORE:

How can one be "racist toward Muslims"?

Are not Muslims of many many races - including white?

Is not Islam a RELIGION, not a race?

    And how about Muslim racism?

It's unbelievable that thousands of Americans are standing in line for a candidate that promises to raise taxes and increase government spending to an insurmountable amount that would cripple the United States in the economic world for decades to come. He has even suggested, for you homeowners, that removing the tax deduction for the interest paid on your homes should no longer be an allowable deduction. You know--class warfare where those who don't have homes don't get the break, so those who do have homes, shouldn't get the break either. Neither candidate is to my personal liking, but, I sure don't want to pay higher taxes or start losing some of my personal deductions on my yearly taxes. Further, the health insurance issue is really not as simple as one might think. After researching Canada's health insurance program, it would seem that allowing government to control such an important part of our lives would be dangerous, at best. After all, the government can't fix Social Security, the Postal System, the Education system, the Highway systems, or even the public librarires---so how could we possibly, as a people, be so naive as to think that they could get Health Care correct??? Really think we should be working within the private sector to get the health care problems corrected rather than expecting Big Brother to have that much power over our lives!

I agree that an election campaign featuring Obama vs. McCain would be more civil than an election process featuring the bullies otherwise known as the Clintons. There IS a stark contrast between Obama and McCain, and both have different strengths and weaknesses. It would be a crying shame to have an election campaign featuring Hillary and McCain after all this excitement about getting rid of the establishment and the staus quo. The establishment and the status quo landed us squarely where we are today. Enough is enough.

Hollyroller. Quite contrary to what you may believe, Senator McCain's record is far from being beyond dispute.
The comments I made about McCain are a matter of public record. And what in the world does Ronald Reagan have to do with this issue anyway?? McCain's military service was anything but, "distinguished."
His entire reputation is tied to his years as a POW. By the way, perhaps you can name POW 'heroes" of any war our country was invloved in prior to Vietnam. I look forward to your list. The FACT is there aren't ANY.

You should be ashamed of yourself. I don not believe you are a Marine, because you would be in violation of your code of conduct. I come from a long line of military men, several whom are Marines, and they would never try to dishonor a man who has endured what Sen. McCain did. But maybe you are one of Clinton's don't ask, don't tell servicepeople. Nuff said

      • Posted By: mike35usmc @ 02/17/2008 5:01:26 PM

HolyRoller. Wow! I should be ashamed of myself? Whatever for?
Perhaps you come from a "long line" of military men but, I wonder if that long line includes yourself.
What "code of conduct" are you refering to that does not allow me to speak the truth?? I've never heard of such a "code." I am not "dishonoring" McCain, I'm simply telling the truth!

AMERICAN HERO vs. ISLAMIC SYMPATHIZER wow, this is a tough choice

    • Posted By: okie_magic @ 02/17/2008 2:45:35 AM

Why don't you post some credible info that Obama is an "Islamic Sympathizer" so we can all read for ourselves? Your attacks remind me of the attacks on McCain during the South Carolina GOP primaries that hinted McCain had a brown baby out of wedlock. Those attacks, like yours, are despicable.

NO ONE is willing to comment on my previous question? Don't have an answer or afraid to tell the truth?

"Moving towards improvement means change; change breeds resistance and fear" - by Joseph Juran ( a pioneer thinker and an advocate for quality).

I will not let fear guide my vote. Bush used fear in order to win a second term. It will not happen again. Go Obama 08'

I just have one thing to say. NOBAMA

  • Posted By: mike35usmc @ 02/16/2008 5:36:48 PM

Any person running for the office of President (and by extension the position of Commander in Chief of our Armed Forces) should be required, by law, to release all military records relating directly or indirectly to his/her military service. There should be no exception.
During the last election process, the issue of John Kerry's suitability to be Commander in Chief became an unavoidable issue. Despite repeated promises, by Senator Kerry, to release his entire military record, he never did so. Undoubtedly, Senator Kerry had very good reason to believe that the release of his records would permanently damage, if not destroy, his reputation and personal honor. In the end, Kerry was willing to lose his bid for the White House rather than subject himself to the scrutiny of researches and military historians.
In the present election cycle, a very similar circumstance has arisen. Another,
"Hero" of the Vietnam War seeks the White House. The citizens of this country are expected to accept, at face value, the media's version of Senator Mc Cain's
POW "Hero" status. Anyone who questions the official "history" of Mc Cain's
"distinguished military service" is branded "unpatriotic", at best. More likely, inquiries, regardless of how justified, are simply ignored.
As a life long Republican, Marine combat veteran, I want to know the information Senator Mc Cain has so earnestly tried to hide. I want to know what his POW debriefing documents say. In fact, I want to know what is contained in all of the debriefing documents Senator MC Cain had Classified
and kept out of the public domain.
John Mc Cain isn't a "nice" guy. In fact, it can hardly be said that he's a "good" guy. He simply isn't. His whole story is convoluted, a piece of unimaginable fiction concocted to prop up a make believe "hero", just to get into the White House. But, what bothers me the most is that, so many people know Mc Cain's story just doesn't hold water. The media, so afraid of attacking a "war hero", has just laid down. It will take the Internet, again, to bring the American public
the truth they certain have every right to expect.
My view of politics is myopic. I don't much care which party runs the show. My focus is exclusively on wether the candidate is an honorable person. As far as Senator Mc Cain is concerned, I simply do not see that as being the case.

Trying to distort John McCain's war status. Senator McCain was introduced to the American public by President Ronald Reagan. His record is beyond dispute. As we say in my neck of the woods. That dog won't hunt.

HolyRoller: You know better, this is just meant to scare people, in one paragraph you mentioned that Obama is a Muslim and also a Christian, common you don't think Americans are this dumb, do you?

    • Posted By: HolyRoller @ 02/16/2008 4:51:26 PM

I am not trying to scare people. If they do not succumb to the hypnotical CHANGE, CHANGE, CHANGE, CHANGE, there is nothing to fear. It is my right and duty however, to speak out about the potential for danger. Kinnda like telling your children to not take candy from strangers. Nothing to fear as long as they don't do it, but serious danger if the ignore your warning.

I in no way called Sen. Obama a christian, I stated he had muslim connections and belonged to a cult like "church". If you don't agree with this analysis that is your right. It is also my right to say what I believe is strong circumstantial evidence to his mohammedness.

  • Posted By: Real Talk @ 02/16/2008 4:19:46 PM

Obama belongs to a church that prescribes for its surrounding neighbourhood and for black communities across Ameirca a black liberation theology. It is from all appearances a church in the traditional christian sense of what a church would be like in America, bible based and rooted in the idea that Jesus the Nazerath is the Christ and Savior. It includes into its mandate a black liberation theology designed to attract African Americans, but in no way would discard the membership or attendance of any White American who might want to attend as most people would make the case of saying. His church isn't a cult, it doesn't sacriface humans or animals on the alter or make claims of superiority for blacks.

Conservatives really need to stop believing in the propaganda that has been spewed out for them to regurgitate...that Obama is a secret Muslim, or that he belongs to a cult like church...if his church be a cult...then alot of black congregation churches in America should all be considered cults. Noon on a sunday is the most segregated hour in America...where races of all colors attend a church of their own cultural persuassion. A phenomenon that doesn't surprise me any more then the theme you'd see in a high school cafeteria, people of similar races group together...nothing weird about that.

But what Obama is doing is no different from what Dr King wanted to do...Dr King belonged to a black based church...Dr King was an advocate of civil rights, so is Obama to a degree...Dr King openly opposed a war when it was not popular to do so...Obama has done the same...and will hopefully one day soon bring an end to the weeping mothers who worry about their sons and daughters abroad who are being shelled at everyday by Muslim extremists who dont like us there.

Conservatives better pray that Obama is the frontrunner chosen from out of the democart side...because if Clinton is the one to get nominated...not only would she beat Mccain just as Obama would...but Clinton unlike Obama will not be able to get republican support in the senate. Republicans actually tend to like Obama.

Wake up America...stop saying Obama doesnt have the experience...when your elected president your given the best panel experts around...all that is required of a president is character and charisma...and a little bit of youth wouldnt hurt either...Mccain looks like he's about to keel over...is that really the best the republicans can do?

a warmonger vs. achange agent .mccain is runnig his gameplan out of the same playbook as g.w.bush get real america john mccain hsa no chance against senator obama he is the same old tired song that keeps getting played over and over again after awhile it gets scratched.we will not keep letting these rich fat cat republicans send our poor sons and daughters to wars they chhose to ratchet up we know that we have to fight the war on terror so lets put our eye on the real war in afghanistan and pull our sons and daughters out of the civil war in iraq we understand john mccain shed blood for this country but how many other men and women have done the same thing some died they were not as blessed to return to their but that does mean the presidency is owed to anyone whe we join the military we take an oath to serve and protect our country so when we start allowing our sympathy to pick our president something has gone terribly wrong in our country.i also am aware that senator does not have asense of our economy and this is where i am truly about his presidency with the housing market in turmoil gas prices healthcare i have not heard him speak on any of these issues all he talk about is cutting taxes and earmarks but do he understand we need some earmarks in our communities and if thats the case he and senator clinton has been in the senate both 40 years so if he is such a great candidate we need to hear more substance and not the same old smear and fear that the republicans play every election put that tired old playbook in the incenerator and pick a real candidate in 2012 and pleas dont let it be frankenstein mitt the republicans need to pick a woman instead of keep coming up with old tired warmongering aged men then maybe i will change my party and vote for a republican because i think some of your female senators will make better candidates with their issuesto help bring america together we are sick and tired of the republicans making us feel as though we cannot leave our home for fear of being blown apart i want to live iv my country for which we stand home of the free land of the brave so republicans wait your turn 2009 will not be your year.

Jonathon has written an excellent piece of a closely veiled endorsement of Sen. Obama. I can???t say I blame him. I feel that I am speaking the opinion of, several millions of voters, when I say that it???s a pretty unrealistic description of us, when you say our views make us, ???assorted scum.??? Many of my fellow Americans truly believe this Republic was founded by our GOD. It is our duty to speak out, when we are certain that spiritual enemies are endangering our safety, as a nation. That being said, I enjoyed the article, agreed with the majority of its content, and am content with this knowledge. Obama???s muslim connection is not a slur. His devotion to his cult like ???church??? and ???Reverend??? is not an incidental issue. One thing for certain, we had all better GET READY TO RUMBLE, cause its about to get intense.

Bill Clinton vs. Bob Dole 2.0. We Republicans will never learn- it might be his turn, but it's no longer his time.
