    Comment: Obama is a master capable of confronting two levels of campaign at once. First, campaign to get the Democrats nod for the presidency and up against Hillary Clinton. Second, campaigning for presidency and is against John McCain. Simply put, Americans can realize the American dream now, give Obama that opportunity now.

    Obama is a joke!! What is our country coming to? A muslim leader? I think that is absolutely crazy. It is also sad to think that lots of people are only voting for him b/c he is black! Or that people are only voting for Hillary because she is a woman! Wake up people and relize that neither of the democratic hopefuls could ever be a good president! I pray to God that the people in red stand up and unite!

      No wonder Hillary is losing! She has her campaign folks on Internet web pages putting up false rumors. That's so 1990's! By the way, his mother was a White Christian as is he. He was never a Muslim but lived in Indonesia as a boy when his mother remarried. But yes, blame him because he went...rubbish!

I'm a born again, spirit-filled, covered in the blood, followe of the word, Christian. I completely reject the followers of violent, lack of respect for human life, haters of Israel, perverters of the truth Islamists. The Koran adheres to a doctrine of death to all non-muslims unless they convert to their message of lies. To elect someone, who is at the very least sympathetic to that belief system, would be a sin to the GOD who protects this nation of ours. So you are either a non-believer, athiestic or agnostic, humanist whose ideals are foolish or you are just dumb. The greater portion of America do not share your view.

    LOL! The level of insecurity and lack of self-esteem is prevalent on this board. I suppose it has so much to do with the destruction of America by the current president who has destroyed every organization or institution that he was ever handed to run, including the U.S.

    I just received this email this morning that frightenes the hell out of me. I am an Obama supporter. Is it true and it if is, why haven't I heard about it before... Please respond.

    Because Barack Obama has nothing to offer a Jew, that's why.

    Go to the web site of trinity united church of Christ, the church he picked 20 years ago and has attended ever since (www.tucc.org). Take a good look at its "about us" section and see that it is both racist and separatist. Then know that its pastor, Jeremiah Wright, is aggressively supportive of palestinian Arabs aggressively anti-Israel (he calls Israel a racist state), and that the church magazine "Trumpet", named career racist/anti-Semite louis farrakhan it's Man Of The Year for 2007.

    Obama calls Jeremiah Wright a "mentor" of his. Is this the kind of man you want mentoring a President of the United States? Is this the kind of outlook you think will be in any way beneficial to Jews in or outside the United States?

    Then read up on the members of his staff, starting with Robert Malley and continuing on. You will find a succession of anti-Israel activists who think it makes sense for Israel go back to the 1948 borders and succumb to the Arab "right of return" --- which would immediately make Israel an Arab state.

    The fact that mainstream media doesn't say a word about any of this is no surprise to me. I don't pretend that they are unbiased. But you can easily check everything I've just said, and I urge you in strongest terms to do so.

    In my opinion, a Jew who supports Barack Obama is a Jew who is unaware of who and what he is.

    WHY WON'T OBAMA DEBATE HILLARY?? If I were Senator Obama I wouldn't want to debate either. He might be asked (though unlikely since the moderators all throw him slow pitches) why a major facet of his plan for combatting climate change is to build nuclear power plants. It seems an odd choice considering that there is still no viable way to dispose of the waste. He must know this since he got on the Richardson and Clinton bandwagon (reluctantly) to come out against Yucca Mountain (at least when he got to Nevada). So why would someone like Barack Obama advocate nuclear energy?

    Let me answer that one for you Barack: because, according to the LA Times, in 2007 (after you declared you wouldn't take lobbyist and PAC money) you took $160,000 from the Excelon Corp., which just so happens to be the nation's largest operator of nuclear power plants. You also took $1000 checks from John P. Novack (a representative of Excelon), and James Monk, the president of the Illinois Energy Association; a trade group that represents Commonwealth Edison, an Illinois based utility company which happens to be a wholly owned subsidiary of Excelon Corp.

    Or maybe he doesn't want to talk about the California lobbyists for AT&T and United Airlines gave him $2300. Or maybe he doesn't want to talk about how he took a combined $170,000 from Goldman Sachs and Citigroup who, at the time of their contribution, had numerous issues pending in Washington. They also happened to spend $4.6 million on lobbying in 2006.

    Or maybe he doesn't want to talk about the fact that at an Obama fundraiser in Tallahassee he took money from Florida statehouse lobbyists representing trial attorneys, the insurance industry, fast-food chains, and sugar cane growers. Now you Obamaphiles will no doubt say that Obama only said he wouldn't take money from FEDERAL lobbyists. Well, that only goes so far, as noted by the law firm Akerman Senterfitt. Members of that firm gave Obama $7000. On its website Akerman notes, as reported in the LA Times, that, "Akerman combines Tallahassee connections with, 'an involved federal political action committee' to provide its clients 'with an enviable level of access.'"

    Obama is a liar and a fraud. His new motto is, "Change you CAN believe in." But it's obvious that Obama is really change you SHOULDN'T believe in.

    Once again the American electorate is proving that it will believe whatever anyone says as long as they say it enough, and the media tells them it's okay to believe it. I would think that Americans would be outraged at a candidate who makes promises, but doesn't keep them; who says he's bringing hope and change, but is really just telling new lies and playing the same old games.

    Thank you Obamaphiles for proving Ken Kesey's adage true: "In any given situation there are always going to be more dumb people than smart people."

      Yes she has experience, but they are all spectacular failures ! Let's take
      Hillarycare that she was pushing very hard into actions according to her plan,
      the result is what drives her to have her hairdo pass-in-review for weeks and sent her touring around the world. Then she has a long term plan for the Clinton restoration with even details for her way to the coronation. It involves raising a lot of money to
      scare away any challenger and recruited powerful party establishment
      sycophants. We are way past to her way from her road to her coronation and she
      squandered all the advantages she had, emptied her campaign war chest and found
      herself trailing on a path not taken. With that kind of very recent track
      record, why should the voters believe in her economic plans in the first place ?
      I'll let her record defeat her own plans, for she is the real Talker and a very
      Bad Doer, even as she attempts to reprise Bill's reputation of a mulligan !

        or maybe the money that she & bill took from her brothers business associates in ex change for a pardon,or how about all the other pardons of convicted criminals
        or maybe why she still has not given her taxes.

        This is exactly why Clinton will not get elected, because she and all her cronies think they are smarter than the rest of the country. If she is so smart how come she can???t convince the easily swayed dumb majority to vote for her?

        I believe one should vote for a candidate because of his or her own merit not because of the other option's shortcomings.
        Tell me Senator Clinton why I should vote for you! Not why Senator Obama is a poor choice and any one who votes for him is stupid. I am so sick of hearing Clinton has experience and Obama is change. They both have the same amount of legitimate experience, and no being the first lady does not count as legitimate experience as her policy decisions as first lady were tremendous failures. Furthermore, being married to a surgeon does not make you qualified to operate just as being married to the president does not to qualify you to run a country.

          I have news for you - Hillary is smarter - so don't kid yourself with the being married to a surgeon bit. She is an educated, accomplished women. On the other hand, you appear to believe everything you hear out of Obama's mouth without much of a record to go on. It would be important to understand that you can't eat change or inspiration. Also, change can go both ways -- if we can imagine it getting any worse in this country.

    I'm not sure if Fineman speaks French or German. Perhaps he should. Barack Obama got a 2 page spread in the January edition of Afrique Magazine, a periodical with an audience in North and sub-Saharan Africa. He also was the subject of an article in the recent edition of Jeune Afrique. He made the conver of the latest edition der Spiegel, an important German publication (read in Austria and Switzerland) as well. Fineman is right, Obama's candidcacy is something part of something larger - He embodies the hopes, dreams, and aspirations of people all around the world. For those concerned about "national security", the message that Obama is communicating to the disenfranchised of the world is a far more potent weapon against terrorism than all the wars, bombs, and WMD's that the McCain & and Company want to use to make the world safer for oil companies

    I like Obama. Really, I do. We have the talk, but where is the walk? Isn't there an outside chance that our fervor for image and appearance is setting us -- and him -- up for a big pop of the Obama balloon? Talking about high standards doesn't establish that you yourself measure up to them. And if Obama stands for hope and unity, then let him show how he will go about it by unifying the Democratic Party -- now. Does he really have the magic he promises, or is this really politics as usual with a happy face pasted on top?
