Then know that its pastor, Jeremiah Wright, is aggressively supportive of palestinian Arabs aggressively anti-Israel (he calls Israel a racist state), and that the church magazine "Trumpet", named career racist/anti-Semite louis farrakhan it's Man Of The Year for 2007.
Obama calls Jeremiah Wright a "mentor" of his. Is this the kind of man you want mentoring a President of the United States? Is this the kind of outlook you think will be in any way beneficial to Jews in or outside the United States?

Comment: This is an excellent article, well written, illuminating and mentally entertaining. Life is essentially a task. Obama is not a fairy tale. The young man has been creatively configuring, fabricating and constructing his existence for this day. Your life takes the direction you give it. Comment: Obama's political positions are listed in GREAT detail on his website. He has started t to include more of those details in his speeches. So I don't understand the acceptance of the Clinton's argument that Obama lacks specifics. I, for one, find it refreshing to read about a Democratic presidential nominee who is not mired in scandal and cover-ups. Perhaps that's why the Clintons receive negative press coverage--a negative lifestyle does not make for positive headlines. Nor does trying to steal an election or injecting race into the 2008 presidential campaign.

Comment: Is Obama a sympathizer because he has said he will talk to leaders in the Muslim world? Please enlighten me on the evidence. But let me say that the struggle against fanatical Islamism cannot be won by military means alone. The use of the military should be a last resort in this type of ideological battle- that is where Obama is coming from. Unfortunately, the use of the military to go after terrorists invariably kills innocent civilians since terrorists tend to hide amongst the civilian population. These enraged civilians form a fertile breeding ground for additional terrorists, so we need to be smart about how and where we use our great military.
There is a time and a place for military action ??? like Afghanistan after 9/11, but it has to be done wisely. We all know Bush took his eye off the ball when he lied America into Iraq. But its not commonly appreciated that Bush missed the ball in Afghanistan too. His delay in going into Afghanistan allowed Bin Laden to slip away. Obama understands this. In Iraq, Bush ignored the Army's pleas for more troops prior to the war and allowed poor planning of the post-war occupation to sow the seeds for this multi-year mess we're in (check out the documentary film "No End in Sight" - it is not a Michael Moore left-wing rant - the producer/director actually worked for conservative think tanks - its the best expose to date of what really happened). Bush callously placed our troops in harm's way, didn't provide them with adequate equipment and supplies (in part because he assumed it would be a cakewalk). I am former military and currently work in a position that allows me to know a lot of this first hand. But the bozos running our foreign policy since 9/11 don???t get it.
So the real irony in all of this is that the Republican leadership of this nation has made us much less safe today than we would have been had we approached the problem with some of the intelligence that this country used to exhibit.

They were itching for the opportunity to go in there, and convinced a weak and supplicant President that this kind of intervention was desirable. 9/11 was simply used as a pretext. He might be asked (though unlikely since the moderators all throw him slow pitches) why a major facet of his plan for combatting climate change is to build nuclear power plants. It seems an odd choice considering that there is still no viable way to dispose of the waste. He must know this since he got on the Richardson and Clinton bandwagon (reluctantly) to come out against Yucca Mountain (at least when he got to Nevada). So why would someone like Barack Obama advocate nuclear energy?
Let me answer that one for you Barack: because, according to the LA Times, in 2007 (after you declared you wouldn't take lobbyist and PAC money) you took $160,000 from the Excelon Corp., which just so happens to be the nation's largest operator of nuclear power plants. You also took $1000 checks from John P. Novack (a representative of Excelon), and James Monk, the president of the Illinois Energy Association; a trade group that represents Commonwealth Edison, an Illinois based utility company which happens to be a wholly owned subsidiary of Excelon Corp.
Or maybe he doesn't want to talk about the California lobbyists for AT&T and United Airlines gave him $2300. Or maybe he doesn't want to talk about how he took a combined $170,000 from Goldman Sachs and Citigroup who, at the time of their contribution, had numerous issues pending in Washington. They also happened to spend $4.6 million on lobbying in 2006.
Or maybe he doesn't want to talk about the fact that at an Obama fundraiser in Tallahassee he took money from Florida statehouse lobbyists representing trial attorneys, the insurance industry, fast-food chains, and sugar cane growers. Now you Obamaphiles will no doubt say that Obama only said he wouldn't take money from FEDERAL lobbyists. Well, that only goes so far, as noted by the law firm Akerman Senterfitt. Members of that firm gave Obama $7000. On its website Akerman notes, as reported in the LA Times, that, "Akerman combines Tallahassee connections with, 'an involved federal political action committee' to provide its clients 'with an enviable level of access.'"
Obama is a liar and a fraud. His new motto is, "Change you CAN believe in." But it's obvious that Obama is really change you SHOULDN'T believe in.
Once again the American electorate is proving that it will believe whatever anyone says as long as they say it enough, and the media tells them it's okay to believe it. I would think that Americans would be outraged at a candidate who makes promises, but doesn't keep them; who says he's bringing hope and change, but is really just telling new lies and playing the same old games.

They both have the same amount of legitimate experience, and no being the first lady does not count as legitimate experience as her policy decisions as first lady were tremendous failures. Furthermore, being married to a surgeon does not make you qualified to operate just as being married to the president does not to qualify you to run a country.
