I have experienced person ally how the press has skewed reality. Attending a Clinton speech on early on I, and my children were cheering and clapping enthusiastically during the speech, but bored and jittery while waiting the three hours to see her. Two different news agencies cutt in the bored and jittery film clips of us and put them with Ms. Clinton speaking. I would like to believe that there isn't a bias against anybody in the media, but I suspect I am not getting my wish. I believe that OnyongJun is correct. The media are afraid of challenging Obama because they fear being called racist. I dont' have a problem with the media not bashing a candidate, but the treatment should be equal. I think this whole country needs to wake up to the fact that is is a WOMAN who is the most qualified and get over any problem they may have had with their mothers or exgirlfriends or selves. And I am NOT a feminist!

I don't blame the Clintons for being paranoid. The press just crucified Bill Clinton when he was President over a private matter that should have been between him and Hillary. They just looked for things to persecute him about. John Kennedy had many affairs but the press didn't persecute him. In those days they waited until the man was dead before outing his affairs. .

It is unlikely that Hillary can win the popular vote at this point. If insiders throw this election to her our party will collapse, with huge sections of the base falling in to a sea of cynicism. Many will leave the party for good.
I respectfully ask Hillary supporters to look at the big picture. A negative campaign followed by a 2000 style coup will be disastrous for us all.

As long as the newspapers and other media continue to show pictures of Hillary getting her make-up and hair adjusted versus showing Obama surrounded by throngs of supports in a messianic showpiece, then I'd have to agree with the media's bias. More serious vetting by the media of Obama's policies is needed, and less gender bias of Hillary. Until then, I'd have to say the media has already annointed someone, which is not their job!!!! The media's job is to report, not influence. Shame on them.

I agree with many of the points in your article, particularly that eventually the press will turn on Obama and McCain. However, I have to wonder if the press as a whole would have as much venom directed at her if she were not a "her". Many of the comments, from the beginning, have been sexist and condescending towards women. While this article is better than most, I cannot help but miss the comparisons to soap opera psychodramas and the first paragraph's mention of her handing out valentine's candy to the press. I cannot recall an article mentioning Obama in the back of the plane handing out cookies or juice....

  • Posted By: Tired of Media Spin @ 02/19/2008 8:16:04 AM

The mediat has not acted with ethics. A serious politic of Barak Obama is that he does not tell the facts. He has on website posted that he mandated the Nuclear Plants to report nuclear watse, this is not true. He rewrote the bill to leave it to them to notify authorities. The company that had the nuclear waste running in the rivers of Illinois, whom he brokered the deal with, has contrituted $200,000 under the name of the executives and others within the company. I surely do not want anyone that sides with companies so irresponsible and endanger the lives of Americans. The media are just another power broker.

This is a lame excuse of what the media has failed to do in this election cycle. The media's failure to scrutinize The Obama resume is borne out of cowardice. Cowardice silmilar to what they failed to do in the run up to the Iraq war out of fear of being called unpatriotic. Now they are afraid of being called racist for publishing anything negative about Obama. Must be the Dan Imus factor at work.

Hillari is absolutely right about the media, every time the politcal pundits talk about Hillari they show videos of obama. they letting obama off very easy, I 'll tell you this MaCcain will destroy Obama, ask any citizen what has obama accomplish in four years in congress, they can' tell you. america it;s time to wake up and realized we need a person who can have solutions to our problems. sure you can make nice beautiful speeches, but can you handle the problems our nation is facing and will face in the future.

I am not surprised. She is a bad loser. Clintons have a long history of blaming others for their problems. Please let Obama take care of that geezer from GOP. We need some one to take care of 21st century.issues with fresh ideas; Ideas from 1990's won't work. Bye Bye Hillary.

Obama is not the answer. His speeches and talk about "change" are nothing new. The people who jump on his bandwagon are the same type of baffoons who voted for our current president. Hillary will make the changes necessary because she is capable and knows what needs to be done. Obama claims he does but its just talk. Hillary is disliked by people who either are afraid she will do as she says, dislike woman, or don't want to lose their cozy jobs and lifestyles under the current administration.

A vote for barack hussein is like jumping into the ocean. You have no idea what you may be up against.
A vote for Hillary is like jumping into a backyard pool. You know the pool and its demographics and it is much safer.

In this day, America cannot afford to be uncertain. We need strong, deliberate responses to global issues. Hillary has my vote by far.

You want him to win because you know that he cant compete with Mcain. America will not have a black president in our generation and you all know it.

    D. Affliliated is living a dream if he/she thinks that Obama has more solutions on health care then hillary... Hillary has been around the health care issue than Barak... That person is completely delusional... Barak couldnt even explain his plan well. He is merely piecing together a potential health plan that is not UNIVERSAL healthcare... it's more like pleasing everyone... THAT SOLUTION IS A PROBLEM... Hillary learned her first time around that a simple plan is the best plan and that's why she'll deliver on this issue--- Cause she's learned from her mistakes, where barak will be making plenty of them!! I for one don't want to wait for solutions... let Barak become more seasoned... And the line he uses about changing washington--- Barak IS Washington. Hillary is too, but using such a line makes him look like an ass- the pot calling the kettle black per se... or the donkey calling the other donkey an ass... and well Politics is what it is and we all need to wake up before we are blowing up Pakistan because the inexperience factor... .look what inexperience got us with GW BUSH--- IRAQ look what inexperience got us with CARTER - Hostage crisis in IRAN... look what inexperience got us with JFK -- CUBAN MISSLE CRISIS/BAY OF PIGS.... I'm for one not liking Barak's experience in this time of terror and I like the democratic ideals. However if Hillary doesn't get the nonmination, then I'm voting for McCain--- he at least will keep us safe and his moderate appeal will draw me to him!!! You all want another republican in the white house? You want the Supreme Court to go further conservative? You want more gridlock in washington? You want to be deceived by flashy speeches and bright teeth and fainting dramatics? i for one trust Hillary over Barak any day... Talk of hope is effective at your hearts, but realistically hope is something that will not get problems solved, and GOOD change done. Our system is as the founders intended it... a iron triangle where bureaucrats, special intersts and legislators come together to achieve a checks and balances of power... You want to get rid of special interests then you'll need to move to another country. This is the US... the special interests represent the populous of our country and their support to legislators are necessary--- by education, campaign support... etc. Legislators vitality is conditioned on getting reelected and pleasing constituents... Realize Hillary Clinton has done this the right way, and anything else would be propoganda just like this article and just like the rest of the comments here.... Understand your government... and if you are outragged by the media, SPEAK UP AND SPEAK OUT!!! I for one hate this anti Clinton propaganda coming out of the media... how independent is the media when they endorse candidates, and make statements about the state of an election using no validated polls... no one asks about the denominator or the numerator of these things... so wake up!!!!

    • Posted By: Calvin67 @ 02/17/2008 1:24:48 PM

Actually, you're the one who is delusional and not read up on the issues if you think Hillary's is the simpler health plan. You need to go back and do some research and get the facts straight. Hillary's plan couldn't even be funded let alone enforced. But people have come to expect this mentality from Hillary supporters....blind allegiance to whatever she says without actually checking their facts.
Also, your position on special interests is more than comical, business gifting congress for their own gains and benefits. Interesting that Hillary has openly admitted that they will be members of her administration (you would know this if you watched the debates).

      • Posted By: Utopia79 @ 02/17/2008 1:35:59 PM

Calvin67, you realize simpler means ideologically sound... you can't please all that's what Hillary Care did in 93/94 and it failed for that very reason... you had a democrat house, senate, and she tried to please everyone, made the damn proposal so long that everyone found something they didn't like... from the AMA to Pharma to Congressman looking to not vote for it... I'm telling you Hillary's plan is simpler from an ideological way, and she'll be able to get it done this time, cause she's not trying to please everyone- Special interests included! On your other end, blind allegience didn't you hear the only one I wouldnt support is Obama, I'd support McCain before Obama... and Hillary is by far the one who can deliver on the Democrat agenda, not Barak... he promises hope, She promises solutions... I'm more of a solutions guy, and coming from a woman (Women tend to like to dwell on the emotional component of problems, get empathy etc. talk about hope where as men tend to like to deal with solutions) that is what is so comical, the men going to Barak w/ hope and empathy where as the women like solutions... I'm perplexed I wonder what men are from mars women are from venus writer, John Gray, would have to say! In anyever, the debates would show Barak as talking all about hope and change... HE IS WASHINGTON... SHE IS WASHINGTON... HOW CAN HE TALK ABOUT HER AS BEING WASHINGTON WHEN HE IS TOO!!! They are all washington he takes PAC money He takes plenty of SPecial interests and earmarked money they all do... so why use that against her, cause she delivers to her constituents in NYC? I think your completely delusioned if you think Calvin67 that one candidate is better than another when it comes to special interests --- The only one who doesnt take it is Edwards, yet he made his money from the trial lawyers support... ENJOY!

        • Posted By: Calvin67 @ 02/17/2008 1:51:23 PM

It's tough to argue with someone who is not actually educated on the issues, actually it's comical because your own arguments prove my points; but yet you don't see that, so how can someone actually have an intelligent conversation with you.
As for your hope vs. solutions portion. Interesting that Senator Obama has presented a plan on how he will fund his healthcare plan and other programs but Hillary has not done that yet, so your hope vs. solutions argument holds absolutely no water what so ever. Try Again with something factual that Hillary has actually gotten accomplished or could get accomplished.
The reality is she is turning people so off the democratic party that more than likely the Republicans will when the next election, AGAIN!!! Thanks Hillary!

          • Posted By: Utopia79 @ 02/17/2008 1:57:20 PM

Nice try--- Go back and read... You seem like you have all the answers, reality is you probably never even read Hillary's plan the first time nor this time, and you don't understand the fundamendal differences. You wanna talk issues than present facts otherwise you are just another propaganda spewing idiot trying to manipulate the masses!

            • Posted By: Calvin67 @ 02/17/2008 2:06:11 PM

Your hateful and angry reply only supports my points and arguments, and interesting that you couldn't come up with one accomplishment of Hillary!!! = )
Sad part is, you have only done what the Clintons do every time they are called on an issue! I guess you are just towing the Clinton party line by not presenting any facts and being combative......

Only Obama can get the necessary Independent and Swing voters required to take back the White House in the Fall. He has the wide, cross-over appeal to do so, and McCain knows it. Fair or not, Hillary carries too much baggage to win nationally. McCain wants Hillary because Obama can beat him.

Good job, media, at adding fuel to the fire of the fracturing Democratic party. Vote Obama to win.

I can't believe the absurdity of the claim that Hillary is more experienced and has better management skills than Bararck; they're both Senator's with a relatively short history (Obama actually has a LONGER legislative history than Clinton) and if you look at the way they've run their campaigns, Obama shows himself to be a MUCH more effective executive. Their respective campaigns are the largest enterprises that either of them have managed, so it offers the clearest indication of how they would do as an executive. The press does seem to be almost happy when Obama is successful (and this article points out, they treated Bill Clinton the exact same way) but they have been giving Hillary a pass on her claim of "35 years of experience", so they haven't been all that hard on her either. She is basically claiming that the Presidency is really a co-Presidency when she counts being married to the President as experience, doesn't that then mean that their going for a 3rd term as co-President. I personally find this highly problematic and I really don't like the precedent that it sets. When you compare what each candidate has accomplished in their own right, Obama actually has a LONGER history than Hillary--she's just been on the national scene longer--and this is something that she gets a free pass on from the press.

    • Posted By: alexkoh @ 02/19/2008 2:20:56 AM

Obama had accomplished more than Hillary Clinton? Based on what did you acclaim it? Some of his "experience" laid down by his beloved supporters can't even be considered as his own accomplishments. Else, I do have a dream then.

There is no doubt about media being obsessed with Obama. They are portraying him like a rock star rather than a presidential candidate. So far I don't know what he stands for except that the iPod and iPhone weilding kids going crazy seeing him. Are they all drugged ? Election news now is like Britney Spears news. Either Obama may be bribing the current crop of journalists or those journalists are some paparazzi with fake degree certificates. Not an ounce of information can be gleaned from their reporting. Wonder which school they are from. American schools and universities are supposed to be the best in the world in imparting civic education, but I wonder if it is true anymore. They take this country cirizens to be stupid. Shame on this country citizens to allow such journalists to manipulate an event as important as electing a president.
Now they want to go after Chelesea Clinton. Shame on Obama to have such supporters.

I shudder to think what happens if Obama is selected, a half-baked president and a corrupt and junk media. I think it is time for Obama to get out of hiding behind media shelter and show what he is made of. If not, please bow out gracefully and let Mrs. Clinton be the nominee without wasting precious money. May god bless Hillary, her family and campaign members.

It is very unfortunate that many new voters (even so called high-tech workers) make decisions based on what they see in media. They are not bothered to dig deep and understand the issues and what each candidate stands for. They never did such a thing back in their home countries (no wonder those countries are corrupt) and they don't bother to do it now in America. I think conferring citizenship to such people is like giving a loaded gun to a monkey. Most of them are from third world countries where a strong and capable woman is despised. They resent women and these people for some reason seem to identify themselves with Obama. Wonder if Obama is truly giving out such signals or if media is portraying him that way because they are anti-woman.

Ok, now we wait for your rebuttal again, where your best reply and defence seems to be calling people names. Yea, that will get a lot accomplished. Oh, that's right, it's not about real accomplishments, only supposed ones.

Obama says "copying speech without attribution a big deal". What kind of values and ethics he has in life. He is a presidential candidate educated in Harvard. Is this how he got his degree ? I guess he is going to abolish the plagiarism rules in all schools if he comes to power and actually recommend teaching plagiarism i

                s cool thing.

One of the great things about America, their school system and culture is that they recognize plagiarism and purjury for what it is - unethical and a serious crime. In my home country, it is hard to find people who beleive plagisrism and purjury is unethical. Even the law doesn't recognize it as a crime. It is considered as smartness. No wonder a lot of my home country men in America identify themselves with Obama. Very sad that America is decaying.

I actually think you have a point to a certain extent. I really like Obama's vision and the leadership that he's shown, but the press is acting like he doesn't even have a legislative history that goes back 8 years before he even made it to the U.S. Senate. The Country deserves to know more about the details about what he did during his time as an Illinois legislator.

MSNBC, Newsweek and the pundits from the Washington Post are all anti-Clinton. It's to the point where all these oranizations vilify and insult anyone endorsing Clinton.
Remember the first question that Brian Williams asked Clinton after the State of the Union address with Tim Russert laughing in the background. I think its outrageous!

    • Posted By: EruKhan @ 02/18/2008 12:43:22 PM

Maybe MSNBC hates Hillary because she threatened to boycott their debates unless a journalist was severly punished, if not fired, for making comments about poor 26 year old baby Chelsea.

      • Posted By: Dixiechick @ 02/18/2008 2:52:58 PM

Chelsea Clinton was attacked at age 12 by Rush Limbaugh ( the drug addict ) and so called news commentator. Chelsea is now a grown woman who has stayed out of the political fray. Because she is campaigning for her mother doesn't give anyone the right to call her names. The so called journalists on MSNBC deserved to be fired. I have heard all of their comments against Hillary and they are disgusting. I also saw their vieled apology. Of course you won't print the name of the journalist but I will---CHRIS MATTHEWS. Also DAVID SHUSTER. These are people who think they have license to say anything they please.
If you think this is so wonderful perhaps someone some day may something you won't like about the females in your family. After all they are just words against females so you shouldn't get mad.

          DixieChick,
You come across as being too emotional to argue your point logically, therefore making Hillary look worse, not better. Chelsea is an adult. If you are in the public spotlight, you have to expect to be critcized. I personally don't like the Clinton's for all their lies and scandals and do not want to see them in the white house again. I don't think any higher of Bush either. As for why the press "picks" on Hillary, well, she has brought it on herself. If you have nothing to hide, you shouldn't worry about the press so much.

          • Posted By: Dixiechick @ 02/18/2008 11:29:28 PM

Perhaps we should call Romneys sons and bushes daughters pimps too. After all they are adults and chose to openly campaign for their parents. That is how disgusting you are.Your vulgar choice of anything goes and everyone is fair game is proof you need manners and education about respect. Must be you were not taught any when you were growing up--or are you grown up ?

        • Posted By: Calvin67 @ 02/18/2008 3:02:52 PM

DixieChick your comments to this are amusing and overblown. Chelsea made the choice to go speak in public forums on her mothers behalf, or more likely with Hillary's encouragement which then brings out this point: The Webster's Dictionary defines Pimped as follows = to make use of often dishonorably for one's own gain or benefit. If that is not what the Clinton's have done with Chelsea, then I don't know what it is......... Get off your high-horse and at least acknowledge what they are doing at all costs to try and save their sinking campaign.

  • Posted By: sherrybb @ 02/18/2008 12:50:51 PM

    erukhan,
the point is only the Clinton daughter had the phrase "pimped out" thrown at her. The Romney boys were very involved, and although the Obamaa kids are too young to speak, they are trotted out to show how cute they are. This comment about Chelsea would not have been directed at anyone other than a Clinton.

Wasn't Imus fired for calling the basketball girls "Ho's"? So why is it okay to use the phrase "pimping out" on Chelsea? We don't need a dictionary to know what was really being implied here.

        • Posted By: Johnsonium @ 02/18/2008 3:47:59 PM

Because the term "pimping out" no longer means prostituting exclusively. It has a more general connotation. "Ho's" however has never meant anything but a derogatory term for women at the best, and an actual prostitute at worst.

And also, the phrase was used by a fill in for Tucker Carlson. No one watches Tucker! He sucks. Next to no one ever saw the comment. It was made more public when Hillary chose to force a news station to suspend a pundit.

      Hillary hates FREE SPEECH.

Placic Girl, you have your facts straight! Why does the press ignore those same facts? Obama has become the "Revival Meeting broad inspirational speechs calling for change, untity, and "positivity." Where is his knowledge of the issues, where is any indication he could actually accomplish anything specific? Sure, he's a great speaker, so name him orator of the year. But's let's have a democratic candite who has proven she can get things done! Actually, I think Obama wasn't even making a serious run for the presidency when he started, because he himself knows he doesn't have the xperience to be president. He was just getting his name out there for the future, whjen he would be a much more viable candidate. (Or to become VP this year!) Then a bunch of big names jumped on his bandwagon, the press turned him into the great black hope, and now he's stuck with it. Truthfully, it isn't only the press to blame: white males have a lot to do with it. They're not threatened by a black male president, because they won't be sharing his bed. But if Clinton is elected, just how uppity might their own little women get? Remember, blacks got the vote well before women did. I am furious that this campaign has turned good thinking people into antagonists.

Can you please site one accomplishment of Hillary Clinton since she has been a Senator? It's amusing how Clinton supporters talk of all her accomplishments, yet they can never seem to come up with any, or they resort to name calling to change the subjetc. Ironic in that what they accuse the other campaigns of doing is actually what their own campaign does. When we finally see them walk off into the sunset and stop being a pock in our society! Look how they have now divided the Democratic Party, more irony in that they have probably single handedly given the General Election to McCain and the Republicans, AGAIN!!

Hilary managed to vote for a horrendous war that anyone with any brains could see was a giant mistake. Surely, several other Democratic Senators also voted the same way, and they are just as cowardly and sniveling as Clinton. If she'd come out and admit the mistake, then we could move on. However, she seems incapable of acknowledging error, a dangerous tendency she shares with the current president.

Granted war sucks (having been actively involved in a couple already I feel I have the right to say that.) But you fail to recall how many times the US was hit by these extremists under Bills administration. As bad is war is, it is much better to keep it off of our lands, unless you feel like seeing it up close and personal with your children having front row seats.....

I am so sick of hearing about the Lewinski crap I could throw up! That was a personal issue between husband and wife. Get over it! Old News! But Bush(wacker) could lie and get us into a war and that's ok!?! Wake up and smell the coffee people! This guy acts more like a dictator than a president of the FREE WORLD! Let's get to the issues of Today and not 8 10 years ago! We need Hillary in there to clean up the mess all these Men? have made!

    • Posted By: Calvin67 @ 02/18/2008 11:08:39 AM

Okay, we won't talk about Lewinsky.... Instead we can talk about Whitewater, Travelgate, Day Trading, military members not alllowed to wear uniforms in the White House by Hillary's say so, then there was Trooper Gate, Impeachment.......should I continue or were you referring to Hillary cleaning up the mess from their previous stint in the White House.
Or we can go back to woman and talk about Gennifer Flowers, Paula Jones, rape accusations.......oh my gosh I'm a little dizzy at the ridiculousness of it all and of people like you who gush over these two who are a pock on our society and who escalated dirty politics to the art form it si today. The favors and paybacks she would have to make if she got into office would make her administration the most corrupt in history. Sadly, after her time we might even look back on Bush in the same way we do Bill CLinton Today!!! How would that be for Irony. Get off your woman for PresidentHorse and your anit-man issues! Men would be fine with Woman President, we just don't want a "Corrupt Woman President"

      • Posted By: joeygirlny @ 02/18/2008 3:17:39 PM

Okay Cal-I'll respond to your post. I am by not anti-man. My point is-forget about the affairs. I think Bush should have been and still should be impeached for lying to us about why we went to war when the real issue at hand was revenge and greed for oil. He is more like a dictator than a president. My husband has been a steel worker for 36 years and never worked "steady" until Clinton was in office. I would prefer to look at how well a person is at being a president and not his or her personal life. Bill Clinton also erased the deficit as promised and had a surplus! And Bush has now put this country almost into bankruptcy. Everybody is getting a rebate this year-money borrowed from China!?! Does this make any sense? I just want the right person in there to do this job correctly and not think they are above everybody else and above the law. I don't think Obama is ready for this yet and I'm certainly not for McCain. I think Hillary will get the job done fairly, correctly and intelligently. Enough said: Wuff-wuff! And Cal-Did you notice I didn't do any name calling?

        • Posted By: RetiredMarine @ 02/18/2008 11:01:25 PM

Then Hillary would have been in jail with him. And if he went for oil, why in the hell is the price of gas so high? Where is all this oil that we went in for? I was there... you can try to spin this all you want, but the bottom line is that an evil dictator was displaced and the people are free (and quite happy about it I might add). If the issue had been about oil, Iraq would be another US territory by now....

Great Post, Seriously I mean it and I wish more people would do what you just did and address with facts why they support or don't support a candidate (trust me I can be good at driving negative points home too, I know you know that!!). I like what you said, although I disagree with some of it, but that can be talked about. President Clinton instituted many trade policies we are paying for today (NAFTA, China Technology Transfers, China to the WTO) and that is what people seem to forget; that the economic policies of a President are generally not felt until one or two terms later. Having said that, I don't second guess President Clinton for those decisions (I don't agree with them or endorse them) as he felt at that time that they were in the best interest of our country to start dealing openly with what was surely a country becoming a World Power. The question is, were they good decisions, and more importantly, will she make good decisions. Senator Obama has been very open about all his plans, and yes that we all might have to make some sacrifices for them, but he is very clear and outlines it all on his website. Additionally, we as Americans have become so Consumer Driven and have such a sense of entitlement, that I think Obama scares people because they realize in his Presidency that we may all be held more accountable. Hillary just keeps handing out Nyquil telling everyone that she will fix their personal problems (like she just did in a press piece to a woman who was going to foreclosure in Wisconsin). That is not the message of a President, that is a deception to win people over who don't really understand how the political process works. Senator Clinton is trying to sell herself as the fixer for all, and we know this is not possible. Senator Obama has said that the nation working together is the only thing that will change this country to a more positive and stable future, and that is the truth. Sadly, this country still might not be ready for that and we might have to travel down an even more frighteneing road for another four years then we have for the last eight. Americans can't have their cake and eat it too. Senator Obama for the first time in many decades is talking about government for the people by the people, for all of our betterment. But the rich and big business are afraid of all their tax shelters and incentives being taken away (And will vote McCain), and many welfare recipients are afraid that they may actually have to start working (and will vote Clinton). Only one person is saying we must "ALL" make sacrifices and work together for the betterment of our country and our future and that is Senator Obama. I hope and Pray that he will be our next President! And thanks for taking the time to form a constructive Post!! I really mean it.

Thanks Cal for the kind words and you also had a great post here. And I mean it too. You made some very good points and believe me, I'll be paying a lot of attention to what is going on between now and November. I agree about everyone having to make sacrifices. I've known that all my life and am quite used to it. The welfare system along with our school systems all need a drastic makeover! And Insurance companies....well all that is for a different post, I guess. Anyhow, thanks again for the great response and we should all pray that our next president is the right person for the job. Take care.

Thanks, and I wish you the best too and I also say thanks for getting involved in the politics of our country and trying to bring about change as that is what our country needs. Best of Luck to You and Your Family

The problem with the "experience" angle is that Hilary really doesn't have more substantive experience than Obama. Hosting state dinners shouldn't count as experience. And if the fight is all about experience, then McCain trumps them both. What matters is judgment. Obama has it. Hillary has proven she doesn't with her Iraq vote along with other pandering votes such as her support for a flag-burning amendment.
