Don't you think that vetting Obama after he gets the nomination is just a little too late? The American people need to have this information now.... I am really upset with the press. They have validated for me that sexism is alive and well. Women continue to be marginalized in this country. This race is about race and gender no matter how much we try to act like it is not.

    • Posted By: Johnsonium @ 02/18/2008 2:55:40 PM

No...screechy, power-mad, triangulating women are marginalized. Hilary is the embodiment of every negative the Democrats have carried around since the flower-power movement. She'll be an easy target for the right-wing machine and McCain if chosen. Obama doesn't have this baggage and can build a new Democratic majority around our actual ideals, not the cartoonish activism painted on us successfully by the right-wing cabal.

Did the media pick up on the statement on change that Senator Obama made in his speech at Eau Claire, Wisconsin last weekend that "change only comes below" and that "change does not come from above"? If so, what is he running for the highest office in this country for? He is a veteran politician who tells his supporters what they want to hear just like any other politicians!

    • Posted By: Johnsonium @ 02/18/2008 2:53:03 PM

He means that change comes from a grass-roots movement, like civil rights in the 60's. Go Obama!

Comment: ** Man files Federal Lawsuit against Obama regarding GAY sexual act and drug use claims **

A man named Larry Sinclair posted a video to YouTube claiming to have used cocaine and engaged in a gay sexual act with Obama when Obama was a state legislator in 1999.

In the video, Sinclair claims he and Obama met on two separate occasions, that Obama used crack cocaine and that Sinclair performed an oral sexual act on Obama both evenings.

Now Obama and company are quickly trying to quiet this man, but Sinclair has filed a federal lawsuit. Sinclair filed suit against Obama and his campaign guru David Axelrod and DNC chair Howard Dean in Minnesota district court for allegedly attempting to abridge Sinclair's right to free speech, and for waging an intimidation campaign against him.

check out the video on youtube for yourself:

My Gosh LaFit, how many times are you going to Post the same BS links and then also not respond to the people who counter your points. It's amusing what BS you people will bite at to try and save the sinking Titanic. Who knows you're probably on the Hillary Payroll as you've been trying to push this link down everyones throat that we all know is just BS. Like this would be the first false claim against a public figure. Get off the smear campaign you sad human being. Or again is this part of the new strategy of Maggie WIlliams, Hillary's new corrupt campaign manager!??! Wouldn't surprise me one bit.........

PS Go through this entire Blog and see where Lafit has tried to reintroduce this sad piece of BS Propaganda numerous times. Get a Life!

I believe the press has given Obama a more than gentle free ride and on the other hand have been somewhat cruel to Hillary and relentless. I will vote for which ever candiate is running against John McCain but I have NO faith in the press. It's all about headlines. When was the last time we heard from the press a comment about Obama's clothing style. I don't give a damn if Hillary wears pant suits I care about what the canidates have to say. I'm insullted by most of the press coverage.

    Whaa Whaa Whaa
If the press isn't dancing to Clinton's tune, too bad. If she thinks she's getting the short end of the stick she should take a look at the media's representation of Ron Paul. She might not be getting the representation she thinks she deserves, but she's not being completely ignored like Paul is. Quit your whining.

    • Posted By: Johnsonium @ 02/18/2008 2:49:18 PM

Paul should be ignored. He's a libertarian crackpot.

  • Posted By: Indian Ridge @ 02/18/2008 2:38:49 PM

The Clintons seem to be without honor. Hillary wants to be known as the 1st American President, period, and will do anything to reach this goal. It is unfortunate that people accept and repeat the charge that everyone does bad things in politics. It is equally unfortunate that journalists criticize a person for being well spoken as Senator Obama is. I want a person who will lead us out of the morass we are in because of the moronic, criminal actions of the current administration. And, I cannot imagine electing a man who just wants to be Commander-in-Chief.

  • Posted By: BOBO29 @ 02/18/2008 12:18:04 PM

WHY WON'T OBAMA TAKE QUESTION FROM THE SAME POEPLE THAT HE WANTS THER VOTE
IT SEEM TO ME THAT HE IS A PHONY. WE HAVE LEARN ALOT FROM PEOPLE WHEN THEY DONT
WANT TO ANSWER QUESTION LIKE THE PRESIDENT THAT WE HAVE NOW....

I thought you didn't like name calling and that's all you've done in your posts is name call. Wow! You're impossible!

        • Posted By: Calvin67 @ 02/18/2008 2:29:52 PM

You're too funny, when I post directly to you JoeGirlyNY and raise many issues you don't write anything back. But when we post (myself and others) small comments to others silly and simply negative comments, for making a negative comment, then you do post something.

You're kind of like that Chihua that is always barking and annoying people and occasionally $H!T$ on the Floor leaving a mess for others to clean-up. Ok, now I have resorted to name calling to justify your last post and after you have not responded to the many counter posts that I have submitted to your ridiculous Postings!!!

Barack is honest enough to put out his income taxes, unlike Hillary. I wonder why she doesn't want the public to know where she got her money.

      • Posted By: CherylR @ 02/18/2008 12:46:08 PM

What does her incoming have to do with anything? I'm sure the people that need to know where her money comes from has seen her taxes. As for Barack being honest I wouldn't go that far just because he provided his income taxes doesn't make him honest.

        • Posted By: EruKhan @ 02/18/2008 12:54:59 PM

Her income taxes show where she gets her money? easy enough to follow? ok. Now she wrote herself a five million dollar check. Why can she just say where she got 5 million dollars? It ain't from her senate salary. Look up "bill clinton kazakhstan". Hillary recieved "donations" from a man who bought Uranium from Bill Clinton and the dictator president of Kazakhstan! The Clintons are dirty! How hard is that to understand?

  • Posted By: sesanders @ 02/18/2008 1:19:59 PM

Media, do your job now. We need to know about Obama before he wins, if he wins. It is not fair to the Democrats to take sides because of old scores. They are going to have a tough time beating McCain with either of these two candidates, particularly Obama. Block voting by blacks and young people have inflated his numbers making him appear more popular than he really is. But maybe the media already knows that and this whole thing is intentional...

    • Posted By: Calvin67 @ 02/18/2008 2:22:47 PM

Really, Really, are you that uninformed??? You need to go to the New York Times and see where they are talking about possible vote rigging there by the Hillary Cronies during the NY Primaries!

any old excuse for Hillary's lack of support.

  • Posted By: mexed @ 02/18/2008 1:53:04 PM

Lots of commentary for or against the candidates. What is there not more critique of the entire media system which is far more corrupt than any candidate. It should be a reporter's mantra to be objective regardless of their feelings. How else can we have any confidence in the news. At this point it is nothing more than an opinion machine. Reporters can't report a fact without putting their personal spin. Those who deliver the news always end with some comment or smile or form of body language to tell the public what the public should believe. In a few months the election will be over and the media will continue on its mission to tell us all what to think. Better the public start calling the press to task - not only about the candidates but about their poor judgement in supporting government whitewashes, supportiing government and their owners' preferences in the political world and big business. Why did reporters not get on to the morgage scame story? Why did reporters buy the whole war information for years, why did reporters miss so many things in the last number of years while they were making their cute comments and giveing us candy news about hollywood and the rich and famous? Come on people.....FORGET THE CANDIDATES....THE PRESS IS CORRUPT!

    • Posted By: Dr. Dave @ 02/18/2008 2:18:37 PM

      Mexed
Thank You for finally realizing what the media has been doing to us for years. Most of what we see, hear, read is spoon fed, govt censored propaganda. The media reports everything as rosy because they don't want to step on any toes and call attention to themselves
"Burke said that there were three Estates in Parliament, but in the Reporters Gallery yonder, there sat a fourth Estate more important far than they all."
In the past, journalism was research, report, good or bad. Now the media considers themselves King makers. They can twist anything to make it good, bad, or just plain ugly.
In this country Journalistic Integrity is gone. The media is looking for favor, and favors from our elected folks.
Do you want to be President? What's in it for me asks the media. If the terms unfavorable the candidate is destroyed. Whether truth or fallacy the last thing on the front cover is what is most remembered.
You'll always see any retractions way in the back of the paper if at all.
      Dr. Dave

The entire Hilary argument is a fallacy. An attempt to get people to believe that this woman is somehow "experienced" enough to run this country. That she is in some way more "experienced" and "ready" than her opponent. The facts, however, are otherwise. Her experience is in being the wife of an elected official for 20 years. She has some experience as an activist, so does her opponent. Are we electing her husband here (something a lot of us fear)? His is the only "experience" available in this equation. People need to think about fact before they buy into this whole "experience" and "ready on day one" argument that the Clintons are making. It just doesn't hold any water at all.

Hillary claims to be a fighter, but so far the only sound and fury to be seen is directed at those who think someone else is better suited to be president, and the messengers (the press). In congress she went out of her way to stay out of sight and not take a stand on ANYTHING that might cause controversy. Fighter? nah....more like A Whiner.

  • Posted By: Judyco @ 02/18/2008 12:14:57 PM

After reading your article, it almost says nothing. Nobody can deny the bias and hatred shown by the press towards Hillary. You have divided the Democratic party with the racism and sexism inuendo. I even heard a host at CNN comment about the piling on of Hillary on Meet the Press yesterday. Hillary is the most qualified candidate to lead America at this time in our history. I think it is time to give her a chance. If she is not the nominee, I will also sit out this presidential race.

    • Posted By: ntense_1 @ 02/18/2008 1:19:41 PM

Judyco. I understand your passion for Sen Clinton. I am an Obama supporter and at one time had said that if Sen Clinton won the Nomination then I would sit this one out. Then I realized how wrong this would be. Although this is America and you have the right to do what ever you want, I really wish you would reconsider and participate in this process. It is much larger that you or I. I have analyzed the policies of both candidates and come to the conclusion that the difference betweent he two is minimal. It all boils down to a case of who you prefer. You like Sen Clinton for you reason and I like Sen Obama for mine but I would gladly accept Sen Clinton before I would sit out or even worse vot for McCain. I hope you will think about this further but if you still choose to sit out if Obama in the nominee, all the rest of us can do is respect that.

  • Posted By: 1sprigg @ 02/18/2008 1:14:52 PM

come on !! this is so ridiculous, she was not complaining when she was ahead, and the media coverage she obtained favored her. the Obama camp complained of this same issue before, when you are the front runner you get more attention positive and negative. I am so sick of these two whiners i wish they both just go away, and i am a democrat!

  • Posted By: progressive1 @ 02/18/2008 1:10:25 PM

Great article. The Clinton strategy seems to be that they have to fight harder to win because of the negative press and hostile "allies". What they don't seem to get is that THEY have created this aura of negativity. No wonder so many of us choose "Hope"!

Pro Balanced budget. He votes the way the laws specifically the Constituion of this country require. If all the other candidate could say the same, everyone would be treated fairly by the media. The only reason Hillary thinks she's being singled out is because she has something to hide. Don't get me wrong, I have no issues with a woman , or an African American in the Whitehouse. They just need to be honest. Dr. Dave

to change party affiliations and vote for the best candidate out there. He just happens to be a Republican whose record speaks for itself. Ron Paul. You may have been brainwashed by the media that everyone despises so much, but if you non thinking Lemmimngs would do a little research you would discover the truths no one (candidate or media) wants you to know. His voting record is Pro Taxpayer, Anti War,

    Balanced budget
