Wondering, you are a disgrace to higher education. Return your degrees immediately.
His father LEFT HIM at the age of 2. What value is there in chasing him down, other than to find a way to properly "vet" Senator Obama. There are plenty of issues the media can pursue to further the vetting process, but examining his racial background and tracking down an absentee father are the tactics of a desperate campaign. Has it really gotten that bad for Senator Clinton???

It is so obvious the press is enamored with Obama. I like both candidates very much, but hate that the media is not being anywhere close to fair and unbiased. Even CNN, MSNBC are sounding like Fox News with their comments on Hilary.Where are the hard looks at Obama, the hard questions. Instead the media spends weeks analyzing hilary's laugh, and wondering if her emotions are real or not.

Beyond the Clintons and Obama and the darling of the right at this point, john mccain: The difference between reporters in the time of JFK and now is that they were reporters. They were not part of an entire machine that makes opinion rather than reporting news. This is not to say that in the past all reporters were objective. However, we are a far cry from honest reporting today. The American press, television, and radio has gone the way of being entertainment news. Jokes, bad comentaries, snide personal comments following a news story are standard. American journalism is at its lowest poiint in my 60 years of reading the paper, watching television and listening to radio news. I now watch German news service in English, listen to the BBC and catch French news when I can. It is a very different news world. At least I have a chance of getting something akin to independant reporting.

I totally agree. Sad that ratings and money control true "news" rather than a search for truth. The "Yellow journalism" of the past is nothing compared to todays--- baseless "opinion news"

I am a CPA. Beautiful words do not pay the bills, obtain health insurance, pay the mortgage, or make your business work. The media has failed us in that it has not required each candidate to give us details. At your own risk, you ask us to vote for a President without the information. The Clintons give us information and we can look at their past.
You do not represent the voters in Florida and Michigan when their votes are not counted and you say that they are simply a beauty contest. Call the DNC. There are rules where their votes can and will be counted.
We know what color of Hillary's pants suits are. Yet you do not tell us that Obama smokes and still does smoke on the campaign.

As for your comments about Billary's Presidency: As for Mr. Clinton, he also needs to look at his Presidency a little more clearly, and so do Americans. He inherited a strong economy from the Reagan years, which then Mr. Clinton managed to drive into a recession and it was only the advent of a technology boom that pulled us out, which had nothing to do with him. Then there are his trade agreements with China, getting them into the WTO and also granting them access to sensitive technology. Don't believe what I say, do your own research. We are only now paying for his mistakes with his China Trade Agreements, yet people so quickly forget that or overlook it......... Oh that's right, I'm sorry, you're a CPA that works with numbers all the time and you know all this............well how come you forgot too........ohh that's right, that is a Clinton Party Line for not having to deal with facts!

      • Posted By: markci @ 02/17/2008 2:25:16 PM

I'm no Clinton supporter, but you have no idea what you're talking about. Clinton DID NOT drive the economy into a recession, as there wasn't one. It was the longest continuous expansion in history, which came to an end only when the tech bubble collapsed.

        • Posted By: Calvin67 @ 02/17/2008 2:29:12 PM

Try getting your facts straight Ms. educated CPA:

Thanks for posting that, retard, since it proves my point exactly. The recession came in late 2000, after the tech bubble collapsed. You said he drove the economy into a recession and it was only the tech boom that pulled us out. The tech boom was in the 90's, dumbshit. BEFORE the recession.

And my statement about it being the longest expansion in history is an undisputed fact. Recessions happen eventually. Clinton kept his going for longer than anyone has.

            • Posted By: Calvin67 @ 02/17/2008 3:11:48 PM

Again, just what we expect from a Clintonite, ignorance to the facts and a rebuttal with an attack. I guess you're reading different things then the rest of us. But then again facts have never been important to Clinton supporters and I appreciate you proving my points.

Ok, now we wait for your rebuttal again, where your best reply and defence seems to be calling people names. Yea, that will get a lot accomplished. Oh, that's right, it's not about real accomplishments, only supposed ones.

In your rebuttal, insure to include one actual accomplishment that Hillary had done in the Senate!!!

    • Posted By: markci @ 02/17/2008 2:19:18 PM

Yeah, we know you're a CPA. You said that in your last stupid post. Nobody gives a rat's ass.

But you're right about one thing: we can look at the Clintons' past:

Yes the media - especially MSNBC - is GAGA for OBAMA., and they are doing him no favors. Obama is naive to think that being the starker contrast to McCain in November is an advantage. Republicans have historically leveraged the contrast on National Security with Democrats to their advantage. The only democrat in the last 30 years to be able to withstand the National Security onslaught by Republicans has been Bill Clinton. The media's love-fest for Obama is going to drive him to a short political career a-la Dukakis, because McCain - a POW survivor - will not be outdone on 'hope'. McCain will tear Obama to shreds. Barack is young, and his potential is great, but if he wins this nomination, his future is over.

    • Posted By: Heb116 @ 02/17/2008 3:08:34 PM

RioDog, to equate Dukakis w/ Obama is ridiculous. Dukakis was about as inspirational is as an accountant explaining tax code. He looked weak and came across as weak. To suggest Obama would not fair well in a National Security debate I don't agree with either. McCain, even with his National Security credentials apprears to be out of touch w/ his 100 years in Iraq statements. Did you read Obama's 2002 address on what would happen if the U.S. invaded Iraq? For someone with limited foreign policy credentials, Obama has been surprisingly on target with his analysis. Both McCain and Clinton are now playing the politics of fear. A lot of people are simply sick of it.

It seems obvious to me that the press is totally against Hilary and in support of Obama. They mention over and over again that it is impossible for Hilary to get enough delegates to win outright, when the very same thing is true of Obama. I like both candidates very much, but it is so frustrating to see the press try to direct this vote.

  • Posted By: pixiepunk @ 02/17/2008 3:01:31 PM

I am so sick and tired of hearing John F. Kennedy's name mentioned along with Barack Obama's! Yes, they are both very charismatic men and have the very rare ability to enthuse and inspire an audience. But JFK spend 14 years in congress to Obama's 4. He had a heck of a lot more experience coming into office than Obama does. I don't buy into this "change" crap that Obama has been preaching high and wide and I don't think he is the man to deliver it. Every candidate I can remember in 30+ years has promised change. If you want someone who is going to inspire you and pump you up and deliver very little, than vote Obama. If you want someone who is going to work her "you know what" off to make a difference in peoples lives - than vote for Hilary!! I agree that the press have been very unfair to Hilary and her family. They stomped all overy Bill Clinton when he made a very reasonable comment about Obama in Iowa. Has anyone criticized Michelle for any comments she's made? A white male newsman made a comment about "pimping out" Chelsea which is really beneath contempt. The press definitely has a love affair going on with Obama and this spin with the JFK comparisons. Unfortunately, there are a lot of people in this country that cast their votes based on what they hear in the media and not on the candidates platforms and what experience shows they can deliver. Let's give Hilary a chance and stop trying and convicting her in the press!!

  • Posted By: susantse9 @ 02/17/2008 1:49:14 PM

People should Vote for the best candidate and not let the press dictate who they should vote for. They would love Obama to win. As apparent in this article that they've had a rvery ocky relationship with the Clintons. Obama is not ready to be president. He has not enough credentials, no accomplishments.

    • Posted By: D. Affiliated @ 02/17/2008 1:54:59 PM

Hillary doesn't have any credentials either and if the way she's run her campaign is any indication, she would NOT make a very good executive. We would have the same kind of cronyism and incompetence that we have with the Bush administration. Their respective campaigns are the largest enterprises that either of them has been in charge of, and Obama has run his much more effectively and efficiently than Hillary Clinton. What does that tell you about how she'd run the White House?

      • Posted By: Utopia79 @ 02/17/2008 2:20:39 PM

D.Affiliated- are you serious about that??? I mean if you were running for president you'd probably want Carl Rove there... he's such an election gyrus... -Moron... A campaign is a very complicated process... any CEO would have problems with that--- ask Romney, Nader, etc....

        • Posted By: D. Affiliated @ 02/17/2008 2:44:12 PM

Your the frickin idiot Dementia79, as you've proven repeatedly today. Of course I'm serious about that you moron. More excuses from a blind Clinton lemming. Your comment about a campaign being a very complicated process just further proves my point dumb*ss; Obama is a more effective leader and a more effective manager.

  • Posted By: Wondering? @ 02/17/2008 2:36:31 PM

Yes- he did. He also used to have a last name that was not Obama.

    • Posted By: markci @ 02/17/2008 2:43:47 PM

And for that matter, retard, his father's name was also Barrack Obama. He's a Jr.

      Sheesh.

    • Posted By: markci @ 02/17/2008 2:43:08 PM

Actually, no, ***, he did not. He was born Barrack Obama. Stop felching what passes for your limited knowledge out of Rush Limbaugh's hairy ass.

  • Posted By: SallyJay @ 02/17/2008 2:41:47 PM

I have to disagree in part with the article; by no means are all media outlets more friendly to Obama and less to Clinton. All you have to do is tune into one of the main cable networks to see my point. Although they may not go on the attack after Obama (because it is true that his record of scandal is thankfully slim) they do ignore him all day and night covering the Clinton's exclusively. The bias leans all ways out there.

  • Posted By: AlwaysforHillary @ 02/17/2008 1:58:13 PM

For Hillary Clinton to lose the nomination will be one of the greatest TRAVESTIES this country has ever had!! Hillary should be the nominee just by virtue of being qualified for the job where as her flowery worded oppoinent has no experience. However, if God forbid, Hillary does lose, it will bring me GREAT SATISFACTION TO SEE OBAMA GO DOWN IN FLAMES AS THE MEDIA STARTS TO DELVE INTO ALL HIS CROOKED DEALINGS WITH INDICTED BUSINESSMEN IN CHICAGO!!! ULTIMATELY HE WILL LOSE THE ELECTION BUT IT WILL MAKE ME HAPPY BECAUSE HE DOES NOT DESERVE TO BE PRESIDENT!!! THERE IS NO WAY, NO HOW I WOULD EVER VOTE FOR OBAMA!! I WILL NOT VOTE FOR SOMEONE WITH NO EXPERIENCE ESPECIALLY IN THIS TROUBLING TIME IN OUR COUNTRY!! I WILL NOT VOTE FOR MC CAIN. I WILL WRITE IN HILLARY'S NAME AS MY VOTE!!! I WILL STICK TO MY PRINCIPLES!

    • Posted By: markci @ 02/17/2008 2:02:46 PM

From the quality of your post, who cares who you support? Obama isn't going for the retard vote.

      • Posted By: ssbn777 @ 02/17/2008 2:08:22 PM

The retard community is solidly behind Obama. Look at the lemmings attracted to his rallies. People fainting? Gimme an effin' break....

        • Posted By: D. Affiliated @ 02/17/2008 2:41:25 PM

Actually, I saw on the news yesterday where someone fainted at a Clinton rally and she stopped her speech to get them help, so it's not just people at the Obama rallies who are fainting.

  • Posted By: susantse9 @ 02/17/2008 2:19:41 PM

If Obama wins the primaries, he should pay the media since they helped him all the way. Even my young children thinks the media is favoing Obama. They picked it up by watching news on CNN, whom we thought would at least be fair, I guess not! As for Hillary, whatever happens, just hold your head high and you've earned my greatest respect. For people who like to see Obama win and Clinton lose, Just Grow up. Vote for the best qualify candidate not the one who makes the better speeches.

    • Posted By: markci @ 02/17/2008 2:21:52 PM

** Vote for the best qualify candidate not the one who makes the better speeches. **

      Either way it's Obama.

      • Posted By: D. Affiliated @ 02/17/2008 2:38:11 PM

        "Either way it's Obama"

        So, so true!

  • Posted By: Wondering? @ 02/17/2008 2:32:36 PM

What is up with the media? I have been trying to understand why Barack Obama changed his name from Barry- and when and can not find out anywhere. Also, who are his parents- I hear she was from Kansas and died from cancer "worried about her Medical bills" and he is from Kenya. What was her race and where is he now?? Are we so "politically correct" that we are no longer allowed to ask these questions??

    • Posted By: D. Affiliated @ 02/17/2008 2:36:19 PM

The reasoning skills of a great portion of our population are in a greater decline than I thought

  • Posted By: Wondering? @ 02/17/2008 2:28:29 PM

What is up with the press? I see nothing about why Barack Obama changed his name from Barry and I do not understand this. Also, who is his Mother from Kansas and his father from Kenya-- I understand that she died of cancer "worried about her medical bills"-- what race was she? And where is his father now? Are we so "politically correct" that we are no longer able to ask these questions?? Wondering in Florida.

    • Posted By: markci @ 02/17/2008 2:33:07 PM

She was white. He is long dead (auto accident in Africa). We are able to ask these questions, though for most anyone paying attention, it isn't exactly news.

    • Posted By: markci @ 02/17/2008 2:31:58 PM

He didn't change his name, you idiot. Barry was a nickname.

  • Posted By: earlp @ 02/17/2008 2:27:28 PM

Comment: While I believe that some of the reason that Hillary gets bad press from the media because of a resentment of Bill and the way he managed to become powerful (i.e., tendency of press to attack those in power), I sincerely believe there is another underlying reason. It is sexism. I have watched the males of MSNBC vicuosly attack Hillary, never giving her credit for anything, and I can't help but believe that it is a reaction (maybe unconscious one) to the idea of a woman in charge. They seem to resent it!

Let me give you a "for instance." Hillary did not campaign in Florida (by agreement), but she garnered over 800,000 votes. The reaction of the media was "It doesn't matter because those votes don't count!!!" Additionally, she won New York, California (substantially), New Jersey (predictions going the other way), Tennessee, ans YES Florida. How can the Democrats win if they don't carry those states in the general election? If Obama is the candidate, you can count me as one who will not just fall in line and vote for him. I believe that Hillary is the most qualified and I resent the attempts of the media to control the way this election is played out.

  • Posted By: real change @ 02/17/2008 2:26:59 PM

The problem the Clintons have is that thier true side is coming out. They are control nuts who want everything thier way. Because the press is not smooching up to them they are indignant. Perhaps they get the negative press because they act that way!

  • Posted By: Red Devine @ 02/17/2008 2:20:04 PM

If this is true why does MSNBC only put pictures of Clinton on the front page of their site, everyday, I can't remember the last time they had a picture of Obama. Sub-liminal advertising for Clinton? Who's paying who...I have kept count. It's like 50 to 1...people notice...how much do they pay MSNBC to get that type of coverage? A picture is worth a thousand words!!!

    • Posted By: Calvin67 @ 02/17/2008 2:26:18 PM

I agree, have you seen CNN lately.......nothing but pics of Hillary and the Clintons; like they are calling-in individual favors to get them some positive press and turn people away from their negative past, present and future!

  • Posted By: Heb116 @ 02/17/2008 2:24:29 PM

The Clinton's are sometimes their own worst enemy with their two pronged approach of doing and saying anything to get an advantage, while at least giving the appearance of impropriety (reluctance to release tax returns). All lot of people are just plain fed up with them.

  • Posted By: Hoosier Pat @ 02/17/2008 2:21:10 PM

I don't know how you can have any doubt that the media favors Obama. He has been on every news program from the word go. Maybe they are afraid they will be acused of racial bias if they don't give him more time, I don't know, but I definitely feel they give him much more coverage.

I AM A CPA. CLINTON HAS ALWAYS FOUGHT FOR HEALTH CARE. HER HEALTH CARE PLAN WILL REQUIRE EVERYONE TO HAVE HEALTH CARE JUST AS SOCIAL SECURITY AND MEDICARE IS REQUIRED OF EVERYONE. OBAMA'S PLAN DOES NOT & HE LEAVES OUT ANY PERSONAL RESPONSIBILTY. THE CLINTONS HELPED BRING HEALTH CARE TO MILLIONS OF CHILDREN AND BROUGHT US COBRA CONTINUATION FOR MILLIONS. OBAMA MAKES A BEAUTIFUL SPEECH.. IN TN HE ADVERTISED ABOUT HIS ETHICS REFORM WHILE HE AND THE MEDIA NEGLECT TO TELL US THAT THE CHANGE MADE WAS THAT LOBBYIST NOW STAND INSTEAD OF SIT WHILE THEY EAT.
WE KNOW THE DETAILS OF CLINTON'S PLANS AND WHAT SHE HAS DONE IN THE PAST. THE CLINTON LEFT THE WHITE HOUSE WITH OVER A 65% APPROVAL RATING.
I JUST FOUND OUT THAT OBAMA SMOKES ON THE CAMPAIGN. WE KNOW ABOUT EVERY PANTS SUIT THAT HILLARY WEARS BUT THE MEDIA TELLS US NOTHING ABOUT OBACK?
WHY DOES THE MEDIA NOT FIGHT FOR EVERY ONE OF THE 1.7 MILLION VOTERS IN FLORIDA THAT WENT TO THE POLLS? CALL THE DNC NOW. THEY CAN CORRECT THIS PROBLEM. REMEMBER THAT ONCE A RULE SAID THAT BLACKS AND WOMEN COULD NOT VOTE.

    • Posted By: markci @ 02/17/2008 2:17:27 PM

As for Clinton allegedly leaving office with a high approval rating, I seem to remember it taking a pretty big dip there with those sleazy last-minute pardons, including some for which Hillary's brothers received hundreds of thousands of dollars in bribes.

      http://www.boston.com/news/nation/articles/2007/02/28/pardons_reemerge_as_issue_in_clinton_run/

Yeah, these are the people we want back in the White House.

*** AND BROUGHT US COBRA CONTINUATION FOR MILLIONS. ***

As typical for Clinton supporters, you haven't got the first clue what you're b,abbling about. COBRA is the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1985. Got it, brainiac? 1985. In case you're still sitting there with your mouth open, drooling all over yourself and wondering what I'm talking about, CLINTON WAS NOT PRESIDENT IN 1985. It was signed by Ronald Reagan.
