HILLARY FOR PRESIDENT
HILLARY, HILLARYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
Even this article has a harsh undertone. The media is responsible for this Obama phenomenon. He will not be a good president on day one. He needs more experience. Why the media doesn't cover that is beyond me. But then again the media is controlled by the powers that be and are certainly not impartial.
NEWSWEEK, WHO DO YOU WILL ENDORSE NEXT?
This political season is like the dating game on the website www.CollectiveWizdom.com In this game, Hillary Clinton John McCain have the edge. We know them and we've seen them go through trials --he in tehwar, she in the war against the Clintons. We don't know Barack Obama. We've been introduced. He has a great smile. He's a great talker. But we've heard a lot of great pick-up lines before.
Let me also just say that I do think that Obama should start using his stump speeches to talk more about the details of his policy ideas, but let's be fair about this; how much do you gather about Hillary Clinton or John McCain's policy ideas from their speeches? Being completely fair I think that Hillary Clinton offers more than Obama and John McCain actually offers less, but neither of them are being judged solely by what is or isn't in their speeches the way Obama is. If you apply the same standard to all of them, their speeches only give you a vague idea of what they plan on doing as President, it's just that Clinton and McCain are given a pass on this because they've been on the national scence a lot longer and people just feel like they're familiar enough with them where they pretty much know what they generally plan to do. If you look at Obama's appearances on political talk shows, and numerous public statements that he's made, it looks to me that he's actually laid out more details than either Hillary or John McCain. It's absurd to consider only someone's stump speeches when looking at their substance on the issues, and Obama is the only candidate who is treated that way.
Without question. Not rocket science. Both the print and broadcast media. Obama is to television and print media as Fox is to the republicans and White House.
M. Payes
It???s obvious that the media is IN FAVOR to Obama.
My personal opinion is: WHO IS BEHIND THIS FAVORITISM?
Who wants to have an activist for president? All you that do not want to see the reality?
Those that get impress by his yelling words.
It is happening like the last election in Mexico, when one of the candidates; ???AMLO??? talked very nice and have movements.
Obama is another ???AMLO??? but, in USA.
Open your eyes, movements, are disorder; remember what happen in Watts California, when the blacks had their movement?
Eye
Ojo!!!!!
HILLARY FOR PRESIDENT
Your comments would be humorous and entertaining if they weren't so scary. It is people like you who are so bigoted and blindly tie themselves to one limited thought process that literrally keeps this world at each others throats. Your thinking is the same thought process that terrorist use to justify their positions, and I find it interesting that you are a Hillary supporter.
By virtue of being in this great nation we all get to speak our minds and it is reassuring to see that your thoughts are in the minority and not supported by the general populace.
I think that the press is obsessed with Obama, partly due to the fact that they have vetted Hillary for so many years that any news may seem stale to them. It is unfortunate that this is the situation because she should be able to get equal and just as positive coverage due to the fact she is such a strong canidate
The members of my household have noticed any reporting on the political scene usually show a great photo of Obama, but if they show one at all of Hillary, it's smaller and not as flattering. They also use adjectives to describe Hillary, her family, her staff, etc that are not very becoming. We all have tried to listen to the candidates and not the press; in doing so we hear smart solutions and well-thought out plans from Hillary. Obama comes across as an inspirational speaker --- and in doing so he appears to have inspired voters to think he is the best choice. I don't think the reports are listening for content, just inspiration.
As the article suggests, the press has had a long, negative history with the Clintons. More recently, Hillary brought some of this on herself. How can there be any positive spin on someone who wants to steal the Democratic nomination by breaking the rules governing the Florida and Michigan delegates? How can there be any positive spin on a Hillary surrogate who injects racism into the election? If Hillary and Company have so much experience, where is universal healthcare? Where are jobs? On the other hand, Obama has proven he has good judgment as he was right about Iraq. He has proven he can run an organization--is he not making the Clintons shake in the their boots? How dare the Clintons attempt to stop freedom of the press.
As an American I am in disbelief as to the conduct of the Clinton Campaign in "THEIR" drive to win this Presidency. Make no mistake about it, this is as much a fight for Bill to return to the White House as it is for Hillary to make History as the first female President (not so much for her to get in a position to make change, but more for her to say she held the position).
In their drive for this they have already turned away would be converts from the Republican Party and Independents by their vocal issues with the Florida & Michigan Primaries, issues that they had previously agreed to. What does this say about a future President and their word. But that is what is interesting, Hillary speaks of Obamas Words, but he has been true and consistent to them. Hillary has said many words in her career, but she changes them to the whim of the political picture. Democrats should do what they can to remove the polarizing Hillary from the race as soon as possible, or stand the chance of losing the General Election to the Republicans, AGAIN.
I also take offense to their use of their daughter Chelsea. They have her traveling to rallies as a voice of Hillary, also calling super-delegates, but they say politically she is off limits and will not allow her to be interviewed. Again, typical Clintons, in that the rules do not apply to them, only to others. We see this again as they gear their legal machine to challenge the Florida and Michigan Primaries.
When will we as Americans finally raise our voices and say to the Clintons, enough already, enough of the rhetoric, enough of the spin, enough of the divisiveness. As for Mr. Clinton, he also needs to look at his Presidency a little more clearly, and so do Americans. He inherited a strong economy from the Reagan years, which then Mr. Clinton managed to drive into a recession and it was only the advent of a technology boom that pulled us out, which had nothing to do with him. Then there are his trade agreements with China, getting them into the WTO and also granting them access to sensitive technology. Don't believe what I say, do your own research.
How many more scandals must we endure before we say enough of this family that has turned politics into an ugly word in America. We say the Republicans have done this, but this new type of Politics did not come onto the scene till the Clintons. Surrounding themselves with flunkies who will commit any subversive or underhanded act to further their cause. We can see this in Maggie Williams, Hillary's new campaign manger (don't believe me then do your research on her as well). I hope and pray that Americans will say enough of this type of politics, enough of the Clintons and make their voices heard at the upcoming primaries, where she loses so overwhelmingly that she withdraws from the race.

I suggest the media (TV, press, etc.) convene a conference to discuss this issue. I suggest the tapes and other materials from January 1, 2008 be brought to the conference for discussion and critique. Laughably, this will be the media self-critiqueing itself. But, why should the public be brought into this. Our choice is turn the mute button on or to turn the TV off, or switch channels. We can stop buying particular newspapers and magazines. We can make all these choices. It is not incumbent on the public to police the media. We have our choices to exercise.
I have read that this is not a racial race. Let me tell you it is.
All blacks voting for Obama, Opera talking as if he is her angel, and you telling me it is not a racial case.
In Obamas own words when he was confuse and felt ??????Junkie.???
He felt junkie because he is son of a white woman or because, he is son of a black man?
The son of a white American mother and a black Kenyan father, Obama wrote that he would get high to help numb the confusion he felt about himself. ???Junkie.
We want SOLUTIONS, NOT A NICE WORDS
WE WILL HAVE A REAL CHANGED WHEN HILLARY WIN THE WHITE HOUSE.
HILLARY!!!!!!
What has Hillary done to back up her claims of having solutions? Her attack on Obama as being all talk is pretty bogus being that 1) she even concedes that their plans are about 95% the same on the issues and 2) she herself hasn't solved anything in her own Political career. I understand her strategy politically, it only makes sense to attack his greatest strength but in all reality, I've heard Obama offer more specifics on Health Care and getting out of Iraq than I've head from HIllary. But, once again, she gets a pass on this from the media. This whole line of attack is not about Obama not having solutions, it's about him not going into the details of those plans during his stump speech.
What gives the media the right to decide who the people should vote for? Yes Obama is Kennedy's puppet. Kennedy will finally be president if Obama wins the election. Where is the news on the LARGE following that Hillary Clinton addressed in Texas and Ohio? Where is the news on the speech that Hillary gave last nigh? Where is the news on the association with Obama and his friend that helped him buy his home. Where is the news on Obama and his drug and sexual relationships. Better yet.....WHERE IS THE NEWS??????
They have reported on that Rezko situation, and there are no more FACTS to report at this time. And Obama has been open and candid about his former drug use. They did an investigation in the New York Times and when they spoke to his former classmates, they actually said that if anything, his drug use has been exaggerated; they said that he wasn't nearly has heavy into that scene as most the other students. As far his "sexual relationships", there are no "facts" to report. I've heard similar allegations about Hillary Clinton and there are many people who think that the Clintons are even responsible for murder, or at least covering up and hiding evidence after someone's death. The press would be irresponsible to report this because they have yet to be proven as "facts", just as it would be irresponsible for them to report unproven allegations about Obama's "sexual relationships".
"DO" should read "Does". That is either a slap at the black vernacular or hopefully not, written by a black writer. Of course the media is enamored by Obama. he is a political rock star. As a devoted Democrat, I could never vote for Obama, he is a talented windbag with a great speech writer in Adam Frankel. He was against the war in 2002, so was I . That doesn't qualify me for President. He was not privy to the BS feed by Bush Cbush/Cheney. He was not in a position to show support for a President
Has anyone ever looked at the motives of these editorsand pundits? Perhaps their endgame is to get a Republican elected. After all, they are in that tax bracket that Dems will be targeting. Supporting a shallow Democrat, devoid of proper experience, with tons of rhetoric, armed with promises he can't possibly keep, sounds like a recipe for another Republican President. These media types count their money like we do, except, well, they pay someone else to count it!!!
Let's face it, Americans love a winner. I have seen time and again that someone barely made it in the first ballot but won hands down in the second. It is a natural tendency to want to be on the winning side. As soon as the media perceived who was going to win, they changed sides. Get used to it, it's called momentum.
The press has been very slanted in Obama's favor. They tried making Bill Clinton look like a racist for comments that he made following the South Carolina primary. I listened to those comments and in my opinion there was nothing racist at all about them. He was simply stating a fact. Bill Clinton is the least racist person in politics. On the other side, Hillary has had gender bashers show up at her rallies with signs saying "iron my shirt" or "make me a pot pie" and the press has barely even mentioned it. I can't believe that a motivational speaker is being built up by the press as the next coming, while the candidate that has given entirely of herself to this country is being treated like, well, a woman. It is a vey sad commentary on our country that women are still not treated equal. Having said that, women are their own worst enemy. Their gender finally has a competent and influencial candidate running for our nation's highest office and a large portion of the women population are still blindly following the men.
The media seems biased both ways. What I don't like is that the media is putting fuel on the fire that is dividing the Democratic party. It's pathetic.
Obama is a positive movement, a force of real change, and the media is squashing that by dividing the Democrats.
Obama is a brilliant man and a great leader. Hillary is very admirable as well, though I don't like her campaign's win-even-if-it-means-fracturing-the-party-and-ultimately-losing-in-November approach.
Only Obama has the wide appeal to get the necessary Independent and Swing votes in the Fall. The media would love to squash that. And take the Dems down with them.
