It took 6 people to write this? To tell us that after years of pure lies and smears "reported" by the MSM, the Clintons don't want to talk to you, and "the press backlash was indignant and gleefull." This is pitiful and juvenile.

Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player
That struts and frets his hour upon the stage,
And then is heard no more. It is a tale
Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury
    Signifying nothing.
    William Shakespeare

To suggest that the press coverage of the Clinton campaign compares to that of any campaign since that of David Duke, is rampant sophistry. The press has betrayed its public trust and has wallowed in self indulgence. Shame on all of you. The undisguised glee at every Clinton loss (Scarborough and Robinson thumping the tables after the S. Carolina primary) is sickening. You have injected race in this campaign.

    Three cheers for Hillary!!!!
The press is nothing but a bunch of two-faced lying scumbags who are slaves for the corporate dogs that feed them. Consider this quote from the Center for Public Integrity, which noted that Bush & Company lied 953 times in two years between 9-11 and the invasion of Iraq
"Some journalists - indeed, even some entire news organizations - have since acknowledged that their coverage during those prewar months was far too deferential and uncritical. These mea culpas notwithstanding, much of the wall-to-wall media coverage provided additional, 'independent' validation of the Bush administration's false statements about Iraq,"

No one should believe a word that Bush & company say (that includes the entire GOP and John McCain) No one should believe the media either. The only way to retore my trust in the media is mass firings and mass resignations. In the meantime I'll get my news from Jeune Afrique and der Spiegel

When was it that a member of the Fourth Estate, covering anything told the truth about anything, I can't remember, Was it Murrow, reporting that McCarthy was guilty of spinning the headlines to annoint his political future or was it when some unnamed reporter covered Napolean's trip to exile?

I am a SERIOUS McCain '08 NOBAMA. I, however am definately rooting forHillary. My part endorses Obama, because he is easy meat. I find this foolhardy at best. I diagree with Sen. Clinton on most issues, but know without a shadow of doubt that she loves this nation. Regardless of her percieved faults , SHE would use any means necessary to protect our homeland and would not bow down to Islamic threats. I'm for McCain, but I have no real problems with Senator Clinton. NOBAMA

Something stinks. First one anchor on MSNBC lashed out at the Clintons attempt to control the press. Then, CNN had no video clips or stories on Obama for several days. Someone was pressured by the Clintons, and they wonder why the press does not like them?

My problem with the media's delayed skepticism is that by then the person is already in the Oval Office. I need some balanced coverage NOW!

Over the year the press has changed from reporting the news into trying to sensationalize that news--if it is mundane, they try to spice it up as entertainment. Entertainment is not news. We seem to have no respect for what is profound and that is a tragedy Also, there are those in the press who are anti-intellectual and act accordingly They have been so willing to give the Bush/Cheney mis-administration a free ride without even thinking of their own actions, let alone the mis-administration's.

WHEN IS THE MEDIA GOING TO GET OVER ITSELF? PERHAPS YOU ARE TOO FIXATED ON YOUR NEXT "BREAKING NEWS STORY" TO REALIZE THAT THE AMERICAN PUBLIC IS SICK OF YOUR TABLOID TYPE NEWS CASTS. TRY REPORTING REAL NEWS FOR A CHANGE AND MAYBE THE PEOPLE WILL TUNE IN AGAIN! AS FOR OUR FAMILY, WE FIND OUR LOCAL NEWS GIVES US WHAT WE NEED TO KNOW OF THE POLITICAL SCENE. YOUR SPONSERS MIGHT HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY ABOUT YOUR DECLINING VIEWERS.

I was thinking about why the Clinton's seem to have this 'orator-envy' thing about Obama and came across some famous quotes by past Presidents: "A house divided cannot stand" - Abe Lincoln... "...the only thing we have to fear is fear itself" - Franklin Roosevelt... "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country" - John F. Kennedy... "I did not have sexual relations with that woman" - Bill Clinton
