The comment referred to by altatran was taken out of context by the Clinton campaign, and the fact that this is the best they can do is evidence of how far the Clinton campaign has fallen. Michelle Obama does love her country and everything that we have here - she said so many times. The word she used was PROUD. And not in her country, but in herself to BE a part of what is happening. It was a GOOD thing. Taken way out of context by the Clinton spin machine.

I am a white, middle class man of fifty eight years. I find it curious that anytime educated people of color try to elevate their race they are branded as racist. I would say that the real racists are the people who aren't willing to grant the same opportunity to grow as a people as their own. Shame on you all. I guess you think that being a different race in this country is a threat to the great white way. Well guess again because it is people like yourselves that discredit this country.

Michelle Obama is a publicity (explicit). That is all she is concerned about, she is the type of person that wants everything her way. I guarantee she looks down upon the black population, and could give two (explicit)'s less about her race. We need a government of the people, by the people, for the people. Not these individuals that are out for themselves. What happened to keeping people honest, and holding them liable for their actions. (politicalpluralism.com)

Michelle is a racist has been since her college days. Michelle is obsessed with racial issues and does not hide her hatred towards white people. What kind of mother would make her children sit in a hate filled church week after week after week that preaches Black Liberation theology under a preacher that screams "God D@mn America" and Marxist ideology and says in public " I have never been proud to be an American"?

Michelle's roomate in college once gave an interview about race obsessed Michelle was but it never made the front pages of the MSM. Michelle was also the first one to pull the race card during the primaries. When asked whether she would support Hillary Clinton if she should win the Presidency, she remarked she would "have to think about it". That's not class, that's hatred and immaturity,

Sure, she's a mommy, and goodly so, but underneath there lies an activist militant bent on subverting the fabric of our American heritage. What is she fighting for? Better child care? Great! Better education? Great! Better ability of "black" people to subvert and impose their agendas on the american populous? Yeah, there's militancy there, in a big way. It's just being slipped by under suspicious motives and blatant ethnicism. When are you going to become just an "American", Michelle?

I am extremely proud of the first family. They seem genuinely happy and united. i especially salute Michelle Obama for her poise and her solid support of her husband. He is awesome of that I have no doubt nor do I doubt that her support and love for him are the bedrock upon which he builds. I am happy beyond what I can express in mere words. My hat is off to them I wish them well professionally and personally. I salute Michelle for her incredible example as a loving and supportive wife and mother..

I find it difficult to put into words how happy I am with the election of Barack Obama. I am proud of Michelle and the example she is as a supportive wife and loving mother. She is a hero to me and I wish her and her family only the best things. He is awesome true enough but I am especially proud of her and I salute her

I apologize for being such a bimbo with this comment, nontheless here it is. I have seen Mr Obama in person and was inspired by his speech and moveded and recruited by his adacity to hope, but when I saw him with his chest beared while walking on the beach, oooh, all of a sudden he was a man, a fine man, a Sexy man. All of my inner being was stirred and I just get breathless when I think of him. Shallow but real. That man is fine.

What Iike most about Michelle are that both her husband and children seem very happy, and that all the family are connected fundamentally. She is not the only part of that, but it would not be possible without her too.

dmac... open your mind, Michelle is the BEST example of the benefits of affirmative action. It may not seem fair to you but neither are the failing schools and lack of opportunity that people of color have been dealing with for decades if not centuries. the conditions that create equal opportunity do not yet exist in this country so in order to have some semblance of diversity for now affirmative action is still necessary. Skin color matters with everything else in this country usually in a negative way, somewhere sometime it might be a positive for THAT ONE. People like you are the reason it's still needed.

Your response was appropriate and well said. Sadly, those who think in a tunnel are doomed to forever be in the dark with their eyes closed. The immorality of the the election is the alter-ego of its own successes.

Who is Michelle Obama? An american hater. A friend of American terrorists who also hate their Country. I am a black woman and Michelle Obama makes me puke. She comes accross very arrogant and very hateful. Leftists wants to compare her to Jackie O. She is no Jackie O., she truly lacks the tact and the humility that made Jackie O. so........ so special. She comes across like a mad woman who controls her husband every moves. By the way, I will not be voting for Barack Hussein Obama. He is all talk and no substance. I will vote for the candidate that I value his core belief and that canditate is sure not Barack Hussein Mohamed Obama. I do not believe in Barack Hussein Obama's communist rhetorics (wealth distribution). I do not believe that all white people are evil means like Michelle Obama so well stated. I love my country and has always been proud of it to the opposite of Michelle and Barack Hussein Mohamed Obama. I do not want to vote for someone who is willing to seat down and talk to our enemies without any precondition. I do not feel safe with a Barack Hussein Obama in the White House due to his associations, from Ayers, to Jeremiah Wright, to Flegher, to the convicted criminal,Syrian-born Tony Rezko, to his childhood mentor, communist writer and poet Frank Marshall Davis, to his fellow Kenyan tribesman Raila Odinga, Muslim seeking to expand Islam in Kenya, who Barack Hussein obama supported in 2007, to his Pro-Palestinian Rashid Khalidi friend, former member of the PLO, and co-founder of the radical and anti-Israeli, pro-Palestinian Arab American Action Network (by the tape is still a mystery). Please call for the release of the tape by your leftist friends from the LA Times). You see why as a proud American, who happen to be black, I have to say NOBAMA!!!!!!!!!!!!

      "I am a black woman "

      Of COURSE you are.

If you are a black woman you are very ignorant and a disgrace. If you are not a black woman you are a damned fool for making these types of comments. WAKE UP!!!!!!

      • Posted By: iCaughtYourLie @ 11/04/2008 10:44:56 AM

You know good and damn well that you are not a black woman. Not just for making those comments but because you think by saying that that people will relate to your comment. Give it a rest...I hope you voted so that your time was wasted! Have a great day!

Apparently, the white students who resented Michele Obama's presence and regarded her as undeserving of attending Princeton were correct. If, as her teachers told her, she did not have the grades or test scores to make it into the Ivies, how, then, did she make Princeton? The answer is obvious: the color of her skin.

I truly enjoyed reading this. Michelle is a role model for not just African-American women but for all women and anyone that has ever been told that they can't do something. She has show so much strength. She has stood by her man and made sure that everything was in his best interest as well as their family. Being a young African-American woman 29 I look up to her. My 9 year old daughter can see a positive role model, the First Lady who actually looks like her. My 5 year old son can actually dream to be president and know it's a reality.

Senator Obama is our next President and as such demands respect. I didn't vote for him but he will get my full support. Stop bad mouthing him and give him some time to work us out of the current mess. As for Michelle, somebody in his transition team should get ahold of the first interview that the Obama's did with Oprah and destroy all copies. She sounded like an ego manic and didn't let him say a word...I was shocked. Having said that, lets give her a chance, maybe she was just nervous.

Heartfelt condolences to Obama and his family.

    • Posted By: denmill @ 11/03/2008 7:33:47 PM

I do not think they really care about the old lady. Obama going to Hawaii last week was just publicity to get some white votes after spiting on the face of white people. This audacious man would do and say anything for a vote. If they cared so much, why didn't the entire family go pay their respect to the old lady? Or is it because Michelle Obama is too racist? think about that!!!!!

You're a frigging idiot. First you are NOT a Black woman. Next, you'll be saying Obama killed her with telepathy from 2,000 miles away so he could get the sympathy vote.

I get teary eyed when I think about the history that is being made with this election. I asked my father, who was raised in the south in the 1920's if he ever thought that in his lifetime that he'd be voting for a black man to be elected president of the United States, and he became very quiet and in a voice tinged with emotion, replied, "I NEVER in my wildest dreams thought that I'd live long enough to see something like this." When I went to the polling place at 7:00 a.m., I was # 81 in line and stood for almost 40 minutes. I also remeber when I was a child and watching people getting hosed and beaten as they marched for equal rights and the story of the civil rights workers who were killed because they dared to try to get black folks from tthe south registerd to vote. To anyone who doesn't vote iin this election because you think that your vote doesn't make a difference, it's just a cop out for the slovenliness that's a part of your personality.

I began to tear up as I thought of the possibility that if Obama is elected my children will be witnessing history. When Barak walked onto his platform the crowd went wild. I'm not usually one to be in awe of famous people but when Barack appeared I had this sudden rush of emotion that I was witnessing history and that he will win! He was so enthusiastic in his speech that I felt that he too believes that he will win, not just Indiana but POTUS! He gave a great speech! The crowd was chanting and cheering for him through the entire speech. I am fired up Go Barack!!!!!!
Thanks "truth will be told" for those encouraging words of support.
