lets not even talk religion...lets talk what he really is and what has he done to prove he is capable of this office? I am still waiting on that report to hit this week about his gay ordeal in back of that limo!! I never see him kiss his wife..what an actor. I guess the truth is since this country did not have a real powerful candidate to campain at a time this country needed change Obama hit upon that slogan. We already know how many blacks want a black president. Colin Powell was a smart man.....he quit!!

Research indicates there are 3, maybe 4 if you include congressmen, specific types of people that support PINKObumer.

1. Hate themselves, and of course proclaim it is others that hate.
2. Hate others, and of course proclaim it is others that hate.
3. Most prevalent group: UDOPIANS: Characterized by bizarre manifestations of HOPE and CHANGE according to each individuals individual fantasy of utopia. UDOPIANS have the same side effects, not unlike alcoholics or drug addicts, they are in denial as to reality: that HOPE and CHANGE mean nothing; and yet those with UDOPIA feel HOPE & CHANGE means whatever they fanaticize it means. Each has the same basic politically correct response to those who try and point out they have UDOPIAN simplex: you are a neo-con or you hate or other similar politically correct accusations of the day. Someone points out: OBUMER you have UDOPIAN simplex: I see all the red flags of UDOPIA; same delusional HOPE for CHANGE answer every time.
4. Congressmen & their workers who think PINKObumer is their: 4 more years of pork barrel: free meal ticket for their districts; no leadership with a clue to control congressional out of control spending.= easy re-election.

RAVEN-I personally want to thank you for your honest and insightful comments. I definately enjoy and look forward to them. I truly believe you are indicitive of the type of Pres. and First Lady this country would be blessed with , in the event of a Sen. Hussein victory. Sorry, it'll never happen. When your candidate is slowly revealed to the public, his feel good YouTubers and MoveOn.org are gonna run. Oprah will probably take a long vacation. HolyRoller, Your comments are full of rage and laden with racial comments that pull Obama down instead of lift him up. Obama's whole deal is that he is supposed to bring everyone together. You make it look like it's all about race. Are those your intentions?

Despite the idiotic comments here, people have to acknowledge Michelle Obama will be a refreshing change. The current First Lady has got to be the most boring woman on the planet. She appears to be on heavy medication in every interview I've struggled to watch. She has accomplished nothing with her literacy program and has probably, in fact, set our educational system back by leaps and bounds, along with G. Bush's "No Child Left Behind" disaster - ask any teacher or Title One director.

Great article! I admire the Obamas emphasis on public service. Both could've gone in different directions but they wanted to give back to the community somehow. I think Michelle would be an exciting First Lady!
I was on the fence between Clinton and Obama in the beginning, but the way he's campaigned has won me over! Because they stand fairly close on the issues, I looked at how each has presented themselves and was far more impressed with Obama's message. He is consistent and not changing his message to fit the polls like HIllary has seemed to do. And, while he defends himself, he hasn't use the mountains of dirt he could've used against Hillary. She, on the other hand, has run a campaign that's all over the place--firing people left and right, 100 messages, running out of money, and increasingly negative. I have noticed all along that she was using Barack's, John Edwards', and her husband's speeches, so I was SHOCKED to see her people try to accuse Barack of stealing someone else's. That was the nail in the coffin for me.

Hillary should be luck she ran against someone who is less interested in slinging mud--she has a ton of skeletons that could've come into play but did not.

Anyway, go Michelle! Go Obama! You have my vote!!

I think this is a great article. Michelle sounds like one of my friends. I can relate to her. BUT I do see how she could be a double-edged sword right now. If she hasn't learned to not "think out loud" maybe she should stick to a script for the time being. Nothing wrong with being outspoken or free spirited--that would make her an exciting First Lady--but some will be looking at every word she says with more scrutiny. So, please, let Barack do most of the talking for right now.

I do appreciate their commitment to public service. I was on the fence between Obama and Clinton as they are fairly close on most issues. However, the way he has campaigned has impressed me. He's been consistent and for the most part, has stayed on message. I liked that he worked for EVERY state, while she dismissed many because they weren't Texas, CA or OH. She dismissed many states as "caucus" states or "predominantly Black" as if they don't matter or aren't worth working for. Barack, on the other hand, seemed to value every vote. He has a much more orgazined campaign for someone without the "35 yrs of experience" that Clinton claims she has. How can you run a country if you can't even run a decent campaign? And then I noticed she would use Barack, John Edwards and her husband's speeches and phrases, so when she turned around and accused Barack of plagerism, I could NOT believe her nerve. lol

As a white Mother of two I resent the remarks made by Mama Obama. She claims that she did not have the choice to stay home because she was a women of color and as a Black women they are forced to work because she never had the burden of luxury that white women have. As a white women I choose to stay home. I sacrifice a new car and a new home and my kids suffer for that as well. I do not live a life of luxury, but the life I choose. If I as a white women would have made these racial remarks about black women it would have been a scandal. I like Mr. Obama, but because of his wifes comments I will not vote for him. I am also appalled that she used the remarks in her article about racial unity when she is making statements about us white fokes that live in such luxury. It is nice to know that she assumes that all whites are privileged as she also assumes that all blacks aren't. Stereotyping in my book is not what America's People want the Presidents wife to be doing.
