I feel sorry for Michelle Obama. I can not imagine what it must be like to be married to a patronizing self-glorified egomanic. She has no self-esteem, that she willingly plays second fiddle to an anti-feminist, corporate puppet, poster boy for the "old-boys club". He basically had the votes of mostly old, white men and those who are stuck on macho insecurities. Obviously by crying racism and making the Clinton's into racist, he managed to steal over all the black voters, and by using more and more divisive underhanded tactics like using her words and stealing her ideas and making them his own, without anyone questioning him.

The Obama's say they care for the poor, then why are the rich, the corporations(the media is part of those corporations) flocking to endorse him, and why are they shoving him down our throats? Why is it Obama can take bits of JFK, Martin L King, and other people's speeches and make it his own, and that's okay? Why is it that he has no accomplishments in his record, while he steals other's accomplishments and makes it his own, and that's okay? Why is Michelle forgiven for not being proud to be an American since adulthood? Why is it ok that the Obama's don't have to put their hand to their heart when everyone else does in respect to our flag? Why is it alright that they are allowed to explain and brush away anything that would otherwise enrage us if it was anyone else - like perhaps a Mexican or an Arab?

Apparently, there must be a virus infecting what otherwise would be normal thinking people, making them gullable and mindless drones. It attacks the brain, making people forget what makes them human. We are unique, and have free will, we make informed decisions based on facts gathered, knowledge acquired, wisdom from years of experience and lessons learned. But most important we can and should question everything! Don't let them Tell you, or Present you with their choice. The media, the polls - all of them have an agenda. Question everything.

I feel barack obama is ready.Im a 50 year old black man who is untrusting of white people older than me and friends with whites my age or younger. It has been my experience that black people older than me has been programmed to feel inferior and feel blessed just to have a job just dont try to run the company because you will change the natural order of things .over fifty is afraid of change because blacks serve whites not the other way around .

This article only proves how perfect Barack Obama is to be President. His wife possesses all the qualities of the perfect First Lady for her intelligence, unconditional support of her husband and family only substantiate Barack's Obama being the best choice for the country's next leader.

Michelle you are a strong and beautiful Black woman. I too believe in social change and education is where it will start. I support you and Barack all the way to the whitehouse. You go girl.

As a white student attending the University of Missouri, Columbia, in the mid ???80s, I had the exact same experience. It was a trip back in time- I found it disconcerting that there was a black fraternal system and a white one. It seemed that black and white students lived in two parallel worlds and that our paths never crossed. It later occurred to me that the University had so many traditions that we were simply going along with the established system. The sad fact is that none of us ???college students??? thought to question it. We missed out on the opportunity to form friendships with a diverse group of people.

I do hope the Obamas make it to the White House. These two capable, intelligent and first-class individuals will bring youth, vitality and a whole new way of seeing to our highest office.

Like many Independents, I am sure of one thing only this far into the Presidential race: I will vote for a Democratic candidate -- my mind won't change on that. However, for months I have been adamant that it would be Hillary Clinton. That was certain long before it became a two-person race. Having watched Michelle Obama on television and hearing her voice through the articles in this issue of Newsweek, I am starting to have a change of heart. Rational or not, the candidate's partner does have influence on the voter's choice. My vote would not be for Michelle, but for how she has encouraged Obama to answer the "tool of his opponents" -- the experience question. Thanks for an engaging and truthful portrayal of a spouse who is concerned when her husband speaks from the head, not from the heart -- for someone who recognized that while emotions cannot run a country, how he feels does resonate with his constituency and during a campaign, IS what sets him apart from the crowd. I am still wavering between the two, but happy that either way, the voters have a real chance for change this November ... for a change.

As impossible as it sounds, I have no doubt that the next four years under Obama will be the worst four years since Jimmy Carter and our nation will border on near Depression Era economic levels, but what the heck, the French will like us if Obama is in office and that makes all the difference. BO will defintely stink the place up.

The refershing change that MO has is that she makes me giggle with her stupidity and we'll have in the white house a person with a lower intellect then we do now.

Research indicates there are 3, maybe 4 if you include congressmen, specific types of people that support PINKObumer.

1. Hate themselves, and of course proclaim it is others that hate.
2. Hate others, and of course proclaim it is others that hate.
3. Most prevalent group: UDOPIANS: Characterized by bizarre manifestations of HOPE and CHANGE according to each individuals individual fantasy of utopia. UDOPIANS have the same side effects, not unlike alcoholics or drug addicts, they are in denial as to reality: that HOPE and CHANGE mean nothing; and yet those with UDOPIA feel it means whatever they fanaticize it means. Each has the same basic politically correct response to those who try and point out they have UDOPIAN simplex: you are a neo-con or you hate or other similar politically correct accusations of the day. Someone points out: OBUMER you have UDOPIAN simplex: I see all the red flags of UDOPIA; same delusional HOPE for CHANGE answer every time.
4. Congressmen who think PINKObumer is their: 4 more years of pork barrel: free meal ticket for their districts; no leadership with a clue to control congressional out of control spending.= easy re-election

And please explain to me how when she cut down on her work time she got over $100K more in salary? When you work less hours don't you or I get paid less not more? And of course, let us not forget, that unlike Hillary who said she would support Obama if he won, Michelle said she would have to think about it. Yet she claims her & her husband are uniters - more like the Pied Piper leading people on a one way trip off of the highest cliff.
