I would like to post my comment in speaking for the young voters and why we are coming out to suppose Obama. The entire Obama campaign, which I would like to call a movement, has personally affected all of as. We find ourselves believing in opportunies again, and regaining "hope" for hope in itself. It's definitely had a positive effect on our lives. Again, it's not just a campaign with desired ends pointing to the White House, it's become an energizing tool for maximizing our potential as a country. We are so excited to hear about change and the thought of transparency in Washington. When you see all the supporters at his events, remember my posting because I speak for darn there 100% of his young voters.

Ofcourse we will benefit from universal healthcare, and we all know that healthcare coverage comes out of our tax dollars. I would like for Barack or Hillary to define a healthcare plan that would lay up on the middle class, and the hard working poor class that lose coverage if they make a penny over $2,000.00 a month, which is close to nothing if you live in California. As a Nurse it breaks my heart to see families opt out of having a necessary surgical procedure in efforts to keep their homes, but other people who snuck over here recieve surgery for free. Im not against covering all people who cant afford care, but something is wrong when we have law-abiding hard working citizens struggling to maintain healthcare.

You know if Obama gets the nomination, I just may vote Republican. I'd rather have a Republican president than trust the scales of justice in favor of a full Democratic majority under an inexperienced leadership. I just changed parties from republican. Hillary is my only choice. Obama will have to wait his turn. Patience. What is his urgency? Why is he saying anything to get elected? Why is he being a political bully? (Thats politics, I know). Why is the press being soft on him? Those are the questions people need to look at. Everyone knew Hillary was going to run in 2008. So what if she's business. Hello, there is business to be had. We are a country in trouble. If she were male no one would be questioning her. One thing for sure, she loves America and she is a mother first and foremost. No one can doubt her sincerity. As for Michelle, she said it best, her husband would like a normal life, well politics is not normal, neither is leadership. Again why does she get a softer exposure and Chelsea get a harsh bashing because she is a Clinton? That girl turned out great. At least she didn't kill anyone or doesn't bring negative publicity to herself. Yep, definitely will vote republican, if Obama is the nominee. The alternative is scary..

To Jrmapu, I'm debating seriously of voting republican myself, if Hillary is the nom. I think she would be filibustered as much as Bush is now, but by the opposite side. I feel we need a Pres that can and has crossed over the aisle to make things work. Obama and John have both done that. (Weirdly, enough with eachother in a proposed immigration bill). Not sure Hillary would be able to overcome the absolute bias that most of the republican party has against her. Iraq, however, may make me support a dem no matter what, however.

Just as it has ALWAYS been, black men are OVERREPRESENTED in the military now, just as they've always been. That means, Army Ranger, that PERCENTAGE wise, there are more of us in the military than there are in the COUNTRY! THAT's what that means! As a black senior military officer, who is also a criminolgist and an educator, do NOT bring up the subject of who is in prison without fully understanding how the system works. I, friend, understand how the system works. What YOU need to do is some searching of your own and tell me what you find out about who it is The Innocence Project is releasing from the prisons on a regular basis. While you're at it, talk to me about blocked opportunities that are available to some but not to all. It's always amusing to hear people espouse "facts" about something they know so much about, yet have never been taught about or studied. You speak as if there are no black men in the "war" because they are in prison. I won't even begin to truly address the type of mentality that portrays. I'll simply say that you sound like one of those people who, even if Obama was the absolute best candidate on the ballot and everyone else believed so, you wouldn't vote for him. The venom you spew is not of the sort that belongs in any type of substance discussion in a political contest (or very few others that involved race, for that matter). So in answer to your OTHER asinine question, our REAL men are in that same war that you're in ... and the other one that has us dealing with over a century of the limited mindset that hampers you and hinders this country. Ask yourself as valiantly as black men have fought, flown, and died in wars in this country EVEN WHEN they weren't free citizens, if they deserve the lack of respect that you're rendering. Michelle Obama is as racist as Oprah. She is arrogant and domineering and I am surprised how quickly people have forgotten how she was on Oprah when he first won the Senate seat and spoke so negatively about her husband. The press was saying they were shocked and she gave out far too much info than the public wanted to hear. Short memories. I just had a client the other day who attended the same church as
she years ago and when they saw her recently they approached her to say hello and she treated them terribly. They were shocked and they are African American also. They said she was always a very arrogant woman and they wouldn't vote for her husband even if it meant McCain would win. I don't like her or her
attitudes. You people who are for Obama are mixed up. You are voting for a speech not a reality. Any great
actor could get up and give the same type of speeches but that doesn't mean they will perform. It tickles me to hear all his supporters talk about change. WAKE UP!!!!! Who are his advisors? benvolio: Thanks for the civil tone. The spouse of the President is not generally on the list of reasons to vote for President. On balance Bill is more of an asset to the USA than Michele.. .Since most world leaders have multiple relationships, especially in Moslem countries where men have multiple women and women are chattel, I hardly think anyone cares. The issue of Barak Hussain Obamas chosen church and its Fara-con honoring writings remains the question.. No one to refute, is evidence of truth!
