Personally, I'd be more happy to have Michelle as our First Lady than to have Bill as our First Husband. But both Hillary supporters and Obama supporters beware. Don't engage in Republican's game by smearing and hating each other. It makes us only bitter. Focus on our candidates' positives. Devided Democrats only makes our enemies happy.

    Wondeful, inspiring article.

This is 7 pages more information than a current presidential Candidate who is still running gets...what a joke mainstream media is...if you people want the truth go find it elsewhere on the internet. By the way all our Presidential candidates are selected for us. Isn't it nice when you own both horses ina a 2 horse race. Ask yourself how much you have heard or seen about Ron Paul, a candidate that truly loves America, the Constitution and actually has plans to "change" things in a big way. Go to Google or You Tube and start getting some real news. Search on the candidates and see ALL the news not just mainstream fluff!

This article sounde pretty pro without the bias reporting that the continually has handed out to America in their "revenge" aginst the Clintons how about a 7 page article telling the truth about the "hillster" Hillary Clintons accomplishments in her career and work as a senator.
Are you scared the truth would get her elected in your too ovious anti Clinton campaign to swing the election !
IN thiscase the BEEF is fairmess in reporting we have recieved sushi.

The Eagle Spirit: more post from the OBUMER campaign; wholly unable to post an intellectual reason to support OBUMER. OBUMERS who have posted here seem to all have UDOPIAN simplex: HOPE for CHANGE in their own individual fantasy of HOPE and CHANGE. Where???s the beef?

  • Posted By: getzel @ 02/19/2008 8:48:52 AM

Uptowntrucker. I feel your pain. But I think you no nothing of pain until you see what happens to you under HOPE and CHANGE. I am glad the country has finally caught on to content of character. Next subject: Supporting someone for president that says only HOPE and CHANGE means you have UDOPIAN simplex. You only see the world through rose colored glasses; pity.

Heard at the Clinton breakfast table ...

Hillary: Gadzooks! That charge I made against Obama and his lifting words for that speech is being turned against me.

Those evil people in the press are saying that I did not acknowledge my ghostwriter in "It Takes a Village."

Some wiseguy even suggested that my next book be called "It Takes a Thief"!!! (Sob.)

    Bill: Whaddidusay hun?

Hillary: Next thing you know they'll be saying I don't release my tax returns because I am afraid of the exposure.

    They're just so mean!

What should I say when they come after me for using Barack's signature line--you know, about being "fired up and ready to go"?

    I just borrowed it. (Sob.)

Bill: Well, you could tell them it depends what the meaning of "borrow" is.

Word parsing is what we do best.

    Look it worked for me.

    He!He!He!

    Gotta go.

I have to "mentor" someone in my office.

educator7. I pray your students get a teacher that can write, speak, and punctuate English, and that can use a word processor. Hopeless, pun intended, attempting to explain anything to this: HOPE for CHANGE UDOPIA.

How does Obama think he can run for the White House, when he is not capable to create own rhetoric speaking to the people ?! He steals the literature from others !! Also, ease to Change, Change ..but even NO PLAN on table! Maybe he is ready to Change exactly ....as he did it in the Illinois Representative, with over 100 absents from his job !!

There was flack about Michelle stating that in alll her adult life, she has never been more truly proud of her country as she is now. Some want to nic-pic her comment as to why she needed to say "truly". How can one be truly be proud of its country with the memory of discrimnation, segregation, linching, unfair judicial system to mention a few. Becaause of how the democratic process is proceeding and the great support they are receiving in their campaigne for the Presidency. Truly, this is a time to be more proud.
Why do the Obamas have to name all the people who sank on the titantic or have dot every T and cross every i. Believe me, I know I stated that old saying in the reverse. I pray blessing on the Obamas. Barbara Massey

Sarah734. I think that is real nice...true not true...he is not anything approaching presidential material. Hope and change =zero. Betting your country on hope and change means whoever does it is lacking brains and acting on emotion: like the emotion in your post.

  • Posted By: educator7 @ 02/18/2008 10:38:39 PM

It is my hope that Mrs. Obama would respond to the crticism of her statement regarding "that in all her adult life she has never been more truly proud of her country as she is now". If she would respond with - I was not proud of American during the era of dicrimanation, segregation, separate and unequal schools and the like.
In my opinion, how could one be truly proud during those times. Mrs. Obama you are so sharp, I feel that you have the proper come back. May God bless you in your spiritual, personal and political life. PS, this is in response to comments made about her statement on 2/18 on CNN. Barbara Massey, Va Bch

    Children don't choose their names.
    Children don't choose their religion.
    Children don't choose their color.
    Children don't choose their gender.
    Children don't choose their parents.
Children don't choose where they???re born.

When I was a child, I was afraid of the "Boogie-man" too. As I got older, I saw how people used my fears to manipulate me. Too often, they were people that I trusted.

After I was sworn in the military and pledged to give my life in defense of this country, I quit being afraid.

Blacks have fought alongside whites in every war, since the founding on this country. Our ancestors??? blood ran in the very soil of this country.

I've served under white and black generals in our military. They are the best leaders in the world!

If you're still scared of the "Boogie-man" bubba, see your local recruiter.

    Obama '08!

Can you tell me where your candidate was that he couldn't make 40% of his opportunities to vote in the Senate?

    • Posted By: GTX13 @ 02/17/2008 7:02:40 PM

You deserve your destiny !!! But on the other way, he didn't serve in the military and didn't pledge to give his life in the army as a soldier or general. He was just hunting for well paid government jobs and tried to take advantage because the skin colour... But in the Illinois Representative he was an "absentee champion" on the electors' money.

Your attention would be better focused on education. The hate is old and boring and it's exactly what we are going to change!

  • Posted By: benvolio @ 02/17/2008 9:17:15 AM

Can I remind getzel that at no time did I suggest that beating up ants is sufficient qualification for U.S. President. It just goes to show the human side of a man who would soon have to deal with Everests of mega-monsters if he made it to the White House. For a First Lady, I prefer Michelle to Bill for a First Laddy, simply because he would never be capable of keeping his nose out of something that ceased to be his business more than seven years ago.

    • Posted By: Jrmapu @ 02/17/2008 3:08:02 PM

Excuse me, First Gentleman not First Lady. Hillary took care of Bill the first time and will do so again. She takes care of business. That is what everyone wants from a president. Regardless of gender.

      • Posted By: admartin7772002@yahoo.com @ 02/17/2008 8:35:08 PM

If you think Hillary "took care of him" you have forgotten the Lewinski scandal. The man is moraless and irresponsible. He didn't bother to take care of his wife or daughter's feelings and embarrassed all of his supporters.

        • Posted By: Jrmapu @ 02/17/2008 10:49:20 PM

I haven't forgotten. Neither has the rest of the country. What is between a man and his wife is exactly that, between a man and his wife. They are being hired to do a job. Thier morals is thier own business. No one is exempt from skeletons in thier closet. I am voting on experience, bottom line.

then vote McCain, because he has more experience then them all! Argue that!

            • Posted By: Jrmapu @ 02/18/2008 12:20:36 AM

Actually they both have the experience. Her experience is for everyone. His is military based. But I will still vote for McCain if no Hillary, just to keep balance in Washington. Barack needs to wait his turn.

              • Posted By: smiley face @ 02/18/2008 9:00:46 PM

Are you saying the military experience is not good enough for everyone? I guess, the coloreds should have waited their turn too.

I truly believe that Barak Obama in the White house will be one of the best things to have happned to this nation even if he does not turn out to be a great president. His winning alone will bring about a major shift in the psyche of this country and its youth. It will reaffirm the belief that anything is possible in the United States. If you work hard and try you can succeed. It will give a new energy to the youth to work hard and try to acheive their dreams. If any other person is elected they will feel that no matter how much you try nothing changes. The old establishment still remains. After reading this article i am even more impressed with this couple who have genuinely believed in giving back. Seeing two bright smart people who after receiving such a great education did not just go out and make it big for themselves alone but gave back in the best way possible. Unlike another couple ( both also lawyers graduating from good schools ) we have seen. The difference is apparent. Need I say more.

    • Posted By: r-becca @ 02/18/2008 8:20:41 PM

The 'other' couple you refer to has also 'given' back-far more than the Obamas. Stop your gushing adoration and do your homework- The Obamas are an elitist couple with big egos and millionaire desires. Good for them- I just wish they would stop trying to portray themselves as impoverished do gooders. It would be refreshing if they would be real and come clean about the nice lives they have enjoyed. They have not suffered real discrimination and poverty, but they think that is the only way to get more votes. Very sad and manipulative, and racially offensive. Except, their spin seems to be working, look how many peolple they have chanting and salivating over them- peolple who have not done any research into the Obamas. Be careful what you HOPE for- you're going to get it in spades.

  • Posted By: Sarah734 @ 02/18/2008 8:18:42 PM

R-becca, please. With regards to all these comments about Michelle being elitist or even upperclass nothing could be further from the truth. She and her husband came from modest and even lower-class backgrounds, in the case of Michelle, and worked hard not just to succeed but to make a positive impact and footprint in their life. Read the article. Michelle came from the South Side of Chicago, certainly not an elitist upper class area. Barack was raised by his single mother, who was also a struggling student. Barack was only able to get the best education because of scholarships and hard work, and not any priviledges or advantages that were bestowed on Hillary Clinton. Barack has never "spinned" the memory of his mother, but rather honored her by acknowledging her in every way. You would know so if you had bothered to read his books or listen to his speeches. And last time I checked 18 is still a very young age to have a child, and Barack's father abandoned them when he was only two years old.
