    Michelle Obama would be a wonderful addition to the legacies of FIrst Lady's in American politics and history. She is the epitome of class, sophistication and is a straight shooter with Midwestern values. I love that Michelle is confident enough that she does not need to vilify her husband's adversaries and wants to make working women and children issues a priority in the White House.

    The blind ,deaf, and mostly dumb seem intent on following the blind, deaf, and naive into the valley of the shadow of the delusional; regardless of the threat and peril it brings to their own great country. And since they disregard the recklessness of their actions their country may pay a heavy price.

    I had the honor of meeting Michelle Obama in July 2007. She is an extraordinary woman. Elegant, brilliant, humble yet confident. She is indeed the "closer". When she talks about Barack Obama, his background and their family life together with two beautiful daughters, you can't help wondering how anyone could ever vote for anyone else but him. She will make such a great First Lady - she stands as a great example of what our daughters can be. She grew up in a modest household, yet worked to achieve through the public education system, then Princeton and Harvard Law. I love her folksy way of telling it like it is "ain't no white people in Iowa." She and her husband are both class acts. They will be such an improvement over what we've had over the last 15 years in the White House.
    Go Obama 08! Yes we can!

    Now beating up ants is a real qualification for president. Priorities and delegating responsibilities and anticipating disasters. My training is that ants only come for the uncleaned up food. So benvolio tried failed; and the ants came back to bite his attempt to ignore the issues and run over the question. Will Starbust and Apollo and bengerman, their successors and or assigns, address the issue of Barak Hussain Osama???s chosen church and its Fara-con honoring writings or just more anything but address the complaint. I will be happy to vote for and support
    Barak Hussain Osama if my concerns are dealt with in an intellectual manor. You do not even seem capable of dealing with his chosen church issue. previous post in error

    This is just formidable. These are not the Huxtables of TV land. This is real America. I wholeheartedly beleive the campaign of Obama and I am a middle-aged white man. Throughout my time on this earth I have felt that I would never see a candidate as more charismatic than John Kennedy. I was still a child then but what aura and power of communication did he have. Obama is not exactly like Kennedy but he comes close. The Billary Clinton campaign is old news. Obama is the new face of America.

      You are right they are not the Huxtables. And we all know what happened to JFK, don't we? And for the record? JFK himself was not a saint. Him and brother Bobby both shared the same girlfriend. I feel for the soldiers overseas. Especially Iraq. I have one niece who served two terms there, one son-in-law, and one grandson who were all stationed there because of the attack on terrorism. So don't give me the amount of money cost. Everyone got suckered into the scheme. The amount of money spent will not bring back our citizens who gave thier lives for Iraq's democracy. As for Billary, whatever. Obama is the new face of America, but he cannot run a country based on present votes. He will need to take stands that people are not going to like. Then he will make mistakes because that is what happens when you have no experience and refuse to learn from the past. He needs a few more years and he will get more support then he'll ever dream of, including me. I think he is the future. We just have issues that need attention, not four years from now.

      Keep in your mind a capital truth: The Muslim world and their descendants are responsible for the New York massacre and implicit for the Iraq war! ! What do you expect to do ?! We have to answer with bread ...to our deadly enemy ?! Why some Muslim roots Senators or Congressmen didn't vote for war ?! Except the Christians, the real Patriots ,because we are the Nation under God, according with the US Constitution. Concluding, is to be blamed those which voted against the war and against the American people, when some middle east terrorists committed a kind of Pearl Harbour attack !!

    Michelle and Barack Obama are the quintessential politic torpedo. They will win. The Billary campaign has exhausted all of it's scenarios to eke out a finish line. The best motto to win: Obama/Edwards. They are both willing to sacrifice this business of lobbyists in power of the White House. I often cring at the amount of money (and still ticking. . .) these wars in Iraq and Afghanistan could have been better used for the foundation of America. And if you think I'm unpatriotic, ask some of the soldiers who have been sent overseas what their opinion is of the war.

    I think that Barack Obama is doing a tremendous job in expressing his words of how he wants to help the people of America and make change in the United States of America. I feel during this campaign his
    wife Michelle will do a wonderful job in supporting him I feel he could not had anyone better by his side
    during this election, As i have watched and listened to him it is a bet he would have my vote for president.

    I'm glad this story puts Michelle in such a positive light. She deserves it. Would you naysayers out there be willing to give up a lucrative salary in order to help the public? I wonder. It seems to me, that Michelle truly understands what public service is,and she is the type of person I would like to see as the first female president, not someone who knows how to manipulate the political game through secrecy, threats, and bribes. And yes, his name is Barack Hussein Obama...and that will help our country gain a better place in world opinion. It's time to think big people! BTW: I am a middle aged white woman who meets all the stats that the polsters say favors Clinton. Ha! .

      I do know of one person who is a role model in that respect of giving up a lucrative salary, his name Arnold Schwarzenhager. He has donated his salary. I know this because I know a person who is under is watch in terms of salaries. Based on that if no Hillary, than no Obama. I will go republican. There's good in everyone.

    1984 until 2016. When looking at the possibility of this country being run for nearly 30 years by Bush, Clinton, Bush, Clinton, the question should be 'hundreds of millions of Americans and this is all we can come up with?' I think Hillary Clinton would make an excellent President but I just think this country needs something different. Barack and Michelle Obama, regardless of the neocon-racist-fear mongering, are what this country needs, a new direction.

    This is a real marriage not the farce the Clintons have. We do not need an impeached president and his wife who is willing to ignore his multiple, very public,infidelities running this country. We need real people who live in the real world not politically motivated icons. The Clintons are every bit as big an embarrassment as Bush! People don't seem to remember that Clinton made this country a laughing stock around the world with his endless lies, cover ups and investiigations into his actions.

        Grow up will you? carnabylane and Time for Change. Clintons are real. Shame on you both. My guess is neither one of you have been out of this country. Because if you were and talked to the people of another country, the Clintons are well respected and LOVED. Yes LOVED. They do not have targets on thier heads. What happens in thier private lives,is exactly that. Who cares? As long as a person does the job they are hired to do, thats all that matters. You both probably have infidelities in your lives and are probably the ones at work who comes to work late and leaves early. As for customer service, you two are probably the most rudest of all.

    benvolio seems to present an Arab mid-east perspective. In Arabia, one can make up any reality, say it, and it is therefore true; that is a cultural reality of Arabia. benvolio attempts to say that the issue of Barak Hussain Osamas chosen church and its Fara-con honoring writings and preaching are not evidence that the church does not like Whites and Jews. That is not flimsy evidence, that is what the church does, that is who the church proclaims, in writing, as a leader and role model. That is American history; that is the subject. Benvolio continues to be uninterested in the facts; He is interested in furthering an agenda; an agenda that is not made clear and that is hidden behind the words: HOPE: foolish people will vote for Barak Hussain Osamas and CHANGE as in do you have any spare change for my agenda of HOPE you vote for...

      I strongly encourage you to read Obama's autobiography, Dreams from My Father. Obama describes at length his church and how he came to be a part of it. He visited this church after hearing about its successful pastor for a long time. He arrived to find a church where equality among the congregation was apparent. He also found a center of education, as well as family and community values. In case you haven't heard, white people attend his church as well.
