I also see that the crazies with their crazy theories are out in full force tonight.

Yeah, Barack Obama is a marxist mole, the WTC towers were the result of a Zionist plot, JFK was killed by aliens, and Sarah Palin is actually that long lost descendant of the Romanovs. When she said she can see Russia from her porch, she meant it because only a real Romanov has those powers.

For all the whiny, racist losers on here, here's a piece of news. Michelle Obama graduated *** laude from Princeton which made her more than eligible for entry into Harvard Law School. And Sidley & Austin will not accept you if you're not in the top third of your class at Harvard law (15% if you're not from Harvard, Yale or other top law schools) irrespective of your race, gender, ethnicity (they get enough black applicants in that category, so they don't exactly have to worry about affirmative action, etc. Perhaps, if you're a black female Harvard law graduate with a compelling personality and grades that put you in the top third of your class, you'll stand a better chance at being accepted than a white female Harvard law graduate with the same academic ranking. But that's about it. In any case, white female (and male) Harvard law graduates have no problems getting jobs at top law firms, so lets skip the BS pity party.

If anyone does their research here, they will see that Barack Obama is funded by some of the most powerful groups in the world. Google, for example, was ranked as the 6th most powerful company in the U.S. The Goldman Sachs family like various other donors here are directly linked to the Rothschild Family, the most powerful family in the world. They created and own along with other foreign investors the Federal Reserve System. The Rothschilds were pivotal in the creation of the EU. Obama has the corporate interests backing him and this is undeniable. Here is a list of some of his highest donors. Cross reference these donors and you will see that it is irrefutable that Obama is backed by the most powerful and influential and has their interests in mind.

    Goldman Sachs $627,730
    University of California $523,120
    JPMorgan Chase & Co $398,021
    Citigroup Inc $393,899
    UBS AG $378,400
    Google Inc $373,212
    Harvard University $369,802
    Lehman Brothers $353,922
    National Amusements Inc $352,603
    Moveon.org $347,463
    Sidley Austin LLP $326,845
    Skadden, Arps et al $304,050
    Time Warner $298,972
    Morgan Stanley $291,388
    Microsoft Corp $276,925
    Jones Day $266,705
    Latham & Watkins $252,845

Hmm, Michelle's thesis seems to be an argument in support of "black power" theories. Stokely Carmichael was a huge influence, and she quotes his theories in support of her thesis. One of her assumptions is that the more time blacks spend with whites, the more negatively they view black culture, and a conclusion she draws from the data she collected is that the more blacks elected to segregate themselves (not as a result of discrimination but by personal choice) the more they were influenced by ideologies of separatism, and the more interested they were in working for the benefit of the black community, and especially the black lower class. She ignores the idea that those who pursued integration might have become disillusioned as a result of the resistance of the black community to their early efforts, and instead attributes this shift to "time spent with" and "comfort levels with" whites, leading them to"betray" their "obligation" to lower class blacks and feel no guilt for pursuing integration and assimilation into white society.

Sounds like more Afrocentric "us vs. them" ideology, the same kind of stuff Rev. Wright was spouting.

Admittedly Michelle's thesis was written long ago, and if she hadn't said this was the first time she was proud of her county, and if she and Barack had not been members of Rev. WRight's church for 20 years, I might dismiss her thesis as nothing more than the work of a young student influenced by the era in which it was written.

"She ignores the idea that those who pursued integration might have become disillusioned as a result of the resistance of the black community to their early efforts,"

      Helloooooo....McFly?????

Martin Luther King was an integrationist ... NOT a separatist, and yet the "black community" embraced (and continues to embrace) him and his philosophies with OPEN ARMS!!!!!

The only resistance to integration is aimed at those who conveniently "forget" who they are and where they came from (i.e. OJ Simpson).

I love it when non-blacks attempt to define black culture. You have no idea what you're talking about, so please, do us and yourself a favor and shut up. You're embarrasing yourself and you're insulting the rest of us.

          WE THE PEOPLE
Not Barry...Barack. The name Barack tied him more firmly to his black African father, even though his father had left him and his white mother. Rev. Jeremiah Wright Jr., expressed paranoid fantasies about white conspiracies to spread drugs or HIV. Obama's own grandmother, on more than one occasion uttered racial or ethnic stereotypes that made me cringe. And, Michelle, well she attended Harvard Law School. Did she earn the grades or was Affirmative Action to be credited for her acceptance into such a prestigious educational institution? Bottom line, the constitution says: "WE THE PEOPLE", not "We the Black people", or "We the Yellow people" or "We the Brown people" or "We the Red people"...not even "We the people with Blue eyes" for example. WE THE PEOPLE...ALL of the people should be treated the same. Not screaming discrimination when it suits US! No matter what your color or what your earning status or what your education and background ALL of us should be treated the same, should have the same opportunities, should be taxed the same, and should be treated fairly and justly. I remember growing up and being taught to do the right thing, to abide by the rules, to play fair and treat others with respect. I still live by these ideals, morals and values instilled in me by my parents. It's a SAD world in which we live. In today's world, criminals have the right to medical care. While our hard working, tax paying, law abiding families have no right to medical care. But, these hard working families continue to PAY THE BILL! I ask myself, 'Why aren't the criminals on death row dead?' Or better yet, DEAD ORGAN DONORS. They have had a fair trail and a jury of their peers decided their fate long ago. Yet, these prisoners remain in our jails and prisons and are a constant drain on our nation's spiraling debt and on our tax paying families! Why not cut this kind of taxation and government funding support from the budget instead of the items that we need like social security for example? My grand father, back in the day, called people in power that had no common sense 'educated idiots". Let's look at this nation as a business and run it in a way that makes sense and is fair to all. Instead of using racism to our advantage or disadvantage as the case may be. WE THE PEOPLE are the voters, the politicians, the babies and people waiting and dying for organ transplantation, the law makers, and the small voice inside each of us trying desperately to be heard!

Did you actually READ the thesis? All 100 pages? Those of us who have written theses know that you can't make up your own definitions for the concepts you discuss, you HAVE to cite somebody else and indicate how that idea pertains to your thesis. In this case, she used Carmichael and Hamilton's definition of separatism.

      She writes:
"Therefore, in order to demonstrate the role of these concepts in this study, the following section will draw on the writings of such authors as ... Carmichael and Hamilton ...
Stokely Carmichael and Charles Hamilton's[sic] (1967) developed definitions of separatism in their discussion of Black Power which guided me in the formulation and use of this concept in this study.
'The concept of Black Power rests on the fundamental premise: Before a group can enter the open society, it must close ranks. By this we mean that group solidarity is necessary before a group can operate effectively from a bargaining position of strength in a pluralistic society.'
Thus, Carmichael and Hamilton define separationism as a necessary stage for the development of the Black community before this group integrates into the 'open society'."
      (source: http://www.politico.com/pdf/080222_MOPrincetonThesis_1-251.pdf)

What you failed to mention was her use of Conyers' and Wallace's definition of integration, who "...embody the idea of Blacks working with Whites as a plausible political and economic ideology about relations between the Black and White communities. Their discussion focuses on representative integration which is the integration of Black official [sic] into various aspects of politics. They discuss problems which face these Black officials who must persuade the White community that they are above issues of race and that they are representing all people and not just Black people." (same source)

Hmm.....does that sound like anybody in particular? Maybe, possibly ... HER HUSBAND?????

As with the Carmichael definition, she makes it clear that these are the definitions she used to refine her thesis, stating:
"The idea of working with Whites to form a common social structure and cultural structure as opposed to creating two separate social structures and cultural structures discussed in the writings of Conyers and Wallace HAVE AIDED IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF CONCEPTS OF INTEGRATION AND ASSIMILATION AS THEY FUNCTION IN THIS STUDY" (caps are mine, not hers)

I've read Carmichael and I can assure you that he wrote some things that were far harsher than the definition she used. Yet, at the same time, she quotes a diametrically opposed viewpoint that you conveniently fail to mention.
      (to be continued)

      • Posted By: joe_mama @ 08/08/2008 12:08:30 AM

Finally, and most importantly, she concludes that her thesis WAS WRONG. You are correct in that she assumed that the more time people spend with a particular group, the more likely they are to identify with that group, yet, if you had actually read the entire thesis, you would have found this:
"...more respondents tended to identify with Blacks during Princeton in every measured respect. However, after Princeton this identification decreased drastically...I believed that the extent to which a respondent identified with the Black community would determine that individual's attitudes...Thus, I believe that a respondent who did not identify with the Black community would be less likely to spend time with Blacks and be less motivated to benefit the Black community. However I encountered several problems following this line of reasoning. I NOW BELIEVE IT IS INCORRECT TO ASSUME THAT JUST BECAUSE A BLACK INDIVIDUAL DOES NOT ENJOY OR CHOOSE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CULTURE OF HIS PEOLE, THAT THAT INDIVIDUAL IS NOT INTERESTED IN BENEFITTING THAT GROUP OF PEOPLE...THEREFORE THE INABILITY TO IDENTIFY WITH ONE ASPECT OF THE BLACK CULTURE DOES NOT NECESSARILY CAUSE APATHY TOWARDS BLACKS IN GENERAL." (source: http://www.politico.com/pdf/080222_MOPrincetonThesis_51-751.pdf)

How do you explain that conclusion? The fact that you failed to mentioned indicates to me that you didn't read the thesis, or don't understand how research documents are formulated. What say you now?

I don't care if you hate Obama or his wife, I would, however, expect you actually know WHY you hate them and not just cling onto what somebody else said.

        Class dismissed.

        JM

        • Posted By: pearsoncrz @ 08/12/2008 9:29:54 PM

I would disagree with your analysis. She modified her thesis to allow that blacks graduating from Princeton who did not continue their close association with the black community might also believe that they were ultimately benefiting the black community by promoting integration and assimilation into "white" society and culture. She never rejected her thesis that blacks who graduated from Princeton and segregated themselves into and focused on the black community would do more to improve the lot of poor blacks than those who chose to join "white" society.

I don't hate Obama or his wife. I don't know why you assume or conclude that. I just don't happen to think that he is qualified to be POTUS or that as a couple that they would do a good job of representing the US in the world. I also happen to believe that they are pursuing an Afrocentric agenda, and do not believe he can be trusted to be up front with what his plans are should he obtain the office he seeks.

Did she note this authority when she did her bibliography? She quote Billingsley 1968, Stokely Carmichael, and Charles Hamilton 1967 van der Berghe 1967 Conyers and Wallace 1976 Dr Caroline DeJoie, how come this paper wasn't cited? It is more intellectually presented, but parallel thoughts
and similar surveys produced by different charts.

          • Posted By: joe_mama @ 08/14/2008 7:47:48 AM

So you completely disregard your Carmichael assertion after I shoot it down, and then you make up a hypothesis that doesn''t exist? I ask you again, did you actually READ it? Since you are unable to quote it, I can only assume not, so I will quote it for you: (this is from page #1 of the Introduction)
            (source:http://www.politico.com/pdf/080222_MOPrincetonThesis_1-251.pdf)
"The purpose of this study is to examine various attitudes of Black Princeton alumni in their present state and as they are perceived by the alumni to have changed over time. The study tries to examine the following attitudes of Alumni: the extent to which they are comfortable interacting with Black and with White individuals in various activities; the extent to which they are motivated to benefit the Black community in comparison to other entities such as themselves, their families, God, etc.; the ideologies they hold with respects to race relations between the Black and White communities; and feelings they have toward the Black lower class such as a feeling of obligation that they should help improve the lives of this particular group of Blacks."

Again, having actually WRITTEN a thesis myself, I understand that you stay within the scope of your study. If you try make conclusions about the general community based on a targeted sample like this you'd be laughed out the building. In fact, your advisor would never let you continue. I would love to hear how you can make such a comparison.

If you want to spread your own lies about the Black community and it's attitudes, at least have the decency to identify them as your own and don't try to associate them with a thesis you've NEVER READ.

This, my friend is why I assume you hate Obama and his wife, you spread the same, tired old "Fear of a Black hat" mentality that Whites cling to. It wasn't true of MLK, it wasn't true of Shirley Chisolm (the first person of color to run for the White House), it wasn't true of Jesse Jackson (even though he is an idiot), and it's not true of Barack Obama.

            • Posted By: pearsoncrz @ 08/24/2008 11:55:49 PM

People should read it for themselves. The link is posted below for the whole thing. It appears that you and I disagree with regard to her conclusions. You only quote her hypothesis. Here are some of her conclusions. Interpret them for yourself.

The more the respondents became [seperationist/pluralist] during the Pre to Princeton period, the more the respondents became motivated to benefit the Black Community, and the more integrated/assimilated they became, the more unmotivated they became to benefit the black community. (45)

The more respondents became int/assim, the more they became comfortable with Whites, the less motivated they became to benefit the black community, and the less positive their attitudes became towards the Black lower class in general. (53)

In defining the concept of identification or the ability to identify with the Black community, I based my definition on the premise that there is a distinctive Black culture very different from White culture. Elements of Black culture which make it unique from White culture such as its music, its language, the struggles and a ???consciousness??? shared by its people may be attributed to the injustices and oppressions suffered by this race of people which are not comparable to the experiences of any other race of people through this country???s history. However, with the increasing integration of Blacks into the mainstream society, many ???integrated Blacks??? have lost touch with the Black culture in their attempts to become adjusted and comfortable in their new culture ??? the White culture. Some of these Blacks are no longer able to enjoy the qualities which make Black culture so unique or are unable to openly share their culture with other Blacks because they have become so far removed from these experiences and, in some instances, ashamed of them as a result of their integration. (54)

To date, much effort has been spent in attempts to assess how such institutions might alter their current practices to better serve minority populations. It is asserted in this paper that such efforts are doomed to failure unless the processes by which minority students acclimate themselves and develop the skills needed to survive in an alien environment are examined.

WE THE PEOPLE are the voters, the politicans, the babies and people waiting and dying for organ transplantation, the law makers, and the small voice inside each of us trying desperately to be heard!

I'm so sick of hearing the African-Americans shouting about racism and the Caucasions footing the bill for others education, others rights, others right to medical care. Racism needs to end for all of us! The constitution says: "WE THE PEOPLE". Not 'We the Black people or we the this color people!

Michelle went to Harvard Law School. Because of she earned it or because of her color? She's a fighter for the young kids...which color? Oh, yes the Black undergraduates. Barack leads all of us to believe he can relate to both whites and blacks alike. His heritege si Muslim and Islamic...9/11/01 still leaves a bad taste in my mouth and I don't trust the Obama's in the least.

Here are the facts for all to see and read..anyone who thinks rationally can only conclude that Obama is a phoney and a Liar !

Barack Hussein Obama was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Barack Hussein Obama, Sr., a Black Muslim from Nyangoma-Kogel, Kenya and Ann Dunham, a white ATHIEST from Wichita, Kansas.

Moderate Muslims can no longer tolerate Obama. He and his wife are haters for his wife to say that this country is no good and this country has never been good to her. Obama should denounce his Pastor Jeremiah Wright, who has connections with Louis Farrakhan, along with him being friends with that underground guy William Ayres who he says is his friend after he bombed the Pentagon in1972, he received money from William Ayres, and this guy is way worse than Mark Rich.

Obama's parents met at the University of Hawaii. When Obama was two years old, his parents divorced. His father returned to Kenya. His mother then married Lolo Soetoro, a RADICAL Muslim from Indonesia. When Obama was 6 years old, the family relocated to Indonesia. Obama attended a MUSLIM school in Jakarta. He also spent two years in a Catholic school. Obama takes great care to conceal the fact that he is a Muslim.

He is quick to point out that, "He was once a Muslim, but that he also attended Catholic school." Obama's political handlers are attempting to make it appear that Obama's introduction to Islam came via his father, and that this influence was temporary at best. In reality, the senior Obama returned to Kenya soon after the divorce, and never again had any direct influence over his son's education. Lolo Soetoro, the second husband of Obama's mother, Ann Dunham, introduced his stepson to Islam. Obama was enrolled in a Wahabi school in Jakarta. Wahabism is the RADICAL teaching that is followed by the Muslim terrorists who are now waging Jihad against the western world. The terrorists that crashed into the Twin Towers were once all enrolled in the study of Wahabism..just as Obama was!!

Since it is politically expedient to be a CHRISTIAN when seeking major public office in the United States, Barack Hussein Obama has joined the United Church of Christ in an attempt to downplay his Muslim background.

Let us all remain alert concerning Obama's expected Presidential candidacy. The Muslims have said they plan on destroying the US from the inside out, what better way to start than at the highest level - through the President of the United States, one of their own!!!! ALSO, keep in mind that when he was sworn into office - he DID NOT use the Holy Bible, but instead the Kuran (Their equivalency to our Bible, but very different beliefs) Obama also refuses to pledge allegiance to the USA flag.

How can someone who wants to be President refuse to commit to the USA? Before you vote for any candidate, remember how many people are disgusted with Obama???s autobiography!!!!

Voters be cautious in this crucial election that means so much to the USA and the free world.

Concerned Canadian, you are a phoney and a liar.
Barack Obama's mother was AGNOSTIC, believing in a higher power, but not putting much stock into any religion.

Michelle Obama NEVER called the U.S. no good and NEVER said that the U.S. has not been good to her. Obama has denounced Re. Wright.

Obama served on the board of the Woods foundation with Ayers, does that make them close friends?

Obama's step-father was not a RADICAL muslim, but rather a Muslim. Obama did not attend an Islamic school in Indonesia, he went to a public school. While Indonesia has the worlds largest Islamic community. Their Government is a secular one. Obama doesn't have to conceal the fact that he is a Muslim, because he isn't, being baptized in 1989.

Obama was not sworn in on the Quran, but was sworn in using his family Bible. Obama recited the Pledge of allegiance yesterday, it was on tv and everything.

It is also funny that you pasted the EXACT email that has been circulating for months now about Obama. I guess you have no original ideas of your own. Check it out. http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/muslim.asp

No marriage certificate for Kenyan father he was already married and had several wives later He's a Muslim His mother spoke Russian and Urdu
and some Arabic Obama and his mama were Indonesian citizens and Islam was his youthful religion in both schools and he attended the mosque with his dad. His mom worked for a Islamic Pakistan irrigation project as the banker for a guy in Italy the Asian Bank 1985-9? ...she left back to Hawaii to die of ovarian cancer. Born in Kenya paternal grandmother insists, His father died in a car crash. His adopted father drank and died of liver disease.

Are you even allowed to vote in the US election in November?
If the answer to either is NO then shut up!

She or he has Candian family fighting in the IRAQ war; thus I for one see no problem with this person stating their views about our election and whom would be the better candidate to take over as President OF THE US. What is the harm. Could it be that he or she has pretty comprehensive blogs with supporting info that you get angered about? Me thinks so.

He posts the same post as above on about any article on Newsweek. He repeatedly refuses to answer mine or other posts that ask him if he is a US citizen or if he can even legally vote in the November United States presidential election. I suspect he is a plant by the Hillary campaign since he has not to my knowledge explained why he is so concerned about us here in the US. Go to other articles and look for his posts they are all the same as the above.

It never ceases to amaze me the number of people who will denounce a religion that believes in a Higher being, be the name GOD, ALLAH, Jehovah, Yaweh et al. Unless you have READ the KORAN from cover to cover, or any of the other religious litterature The TOrah/Talmud, et al, DO NOT make preconceived and false commentary. There is no place in the Koran that denounces GOD. IT talks about total submission to God/Allah who are for those ignorant of the name One in the same being. It also recognizes Jesus and the Prophets of thte Bible and although it is not written in story form like the Bible, tells aonderful relationships with God in a prose genre.

What is so wrong withsomeone loving the One true God? Jesus did and always said "why callest thou me good..." Why are wwe as a people so willing to believe what someone else tells us instead of asking God for discernment for wht He desires for us? Maybe we would have to take full responsibility for our actions then and not be able to pretend that we can blame others. The problem is that we cannot play tag with God! Sunday church goers who Monday through Saturday drink, curse, cheat, lie, commit adultery, covet, practice racism and bigotry, or do not unto others as we would like others to do onto us will be held accountable by God.How can we criticize anyone when we have allowed prayer to be banned from our schools by a few (devilish folk) , love , the God essense, to be removed from our homes and our children and replaced by debotchery on even tv commercials as well as music and even the cartoons. We are so quick to point our finger at someone else without seeing the three fingers points back at ourselves. Change starts from within and instead of criticizing and doing Nothing positive Do something Godly and make a good difference according to His will! For all you are so anti-anything not blonde and blue-eyed, wake up! God loves everyone and the true test of your love for Him is to rebuke your hatred of His creations no matter what creed, color, or sex!!

This story confirms much of my take on Michelle Obama. She's grounded, witty, smart, a good team player, very attractive and stylish.......I'm looking forward to her being first lady and should be interesting to see what causes she rallies around. On Valentine's Day the Clintons spent their day apart, attacking Obama....Obama spent Valentine's Day with his wife Michelle....that speaks volumes.

THE BLACK factor is the ONLY FACTOR that seems to matter....Take away his color and he's nothing....blacks are voting FOR black, regardless of the fact that it is endangering our nation, when our nation stands at a crossroad....WE CANNOT AFFORD TO ALLOW OBAMA TO CUT HIS POLITICAL TEETH ON THE DESK IN THE OVAL OFFICE...Just say No to O

Here's an Obama Tale for you, sad but true. In a campaign influenced by Walmart, instead of backing the pro-labor candidate, Obama backed a "Walmart tool."

There was little surprising about Obama's endorsement given his self-interested allegiances to the politically powerful City Hall regime of Chicago's Mayor Daley, with whom Obama shares the same big money campaign super-consultant (David Axlerod) and numerous big money sponsors.

For the first time Mayor Daley had vetoed an ordinance by his normally obedient City Council, and he did not want the council to bring the measure up again. It was originally passed by the council under pressure from a remarkable grassroots campaign, and would have required giant retail corporations like Wal-Mart, Target, Lowes, and Home Depot to pay workers a modest minimum wage of ten dollars an hour by 2010.

Wal-Mart and Target announced that they were putting a number of "big box" retail developments on hold in Chicago, and launched a preemptive public relations strike, threatening to disinvest in the city unless a "favorable business climate" was restored. Daley made a special point of wrapping his veto in the flag of racial justice, claiming it was required to permit the flowering of economic development in the city's abandoned ghetto neighborhoods.

Pat Dowell, the recipient of significant support from the Service Employees' International Union (SEIU), was running against Tillman, and Dowell had strongly criticized Tillman for siding with Daley and Wal-Mart.

Obama needed the support of the powerful campaign finance magnet Daley, and endorsed Tillman, over labor-backed Dowell.

Obama's wife Michelle then received $51,200 in 2006 for attending a few board meetings of TreeHouse Foods, a giant firm that relied heavily on its close business relationship with Wal-Mart. The granting of high-pay/do-little board posts to the spouses of politicians is a longstanding tool of the "old," corporate-dominated politics that Senator Obama claims to reject.

Mrs. Obama resigned from her position with TreeHouse in the summer of 2007, citing "increased demands on her time" in connection with her husband's presidential campaign.

Michelle Obama was came off as a totally unconvincing "little lady" and viable first lady...She left me empty and cold, as does her husband....I think that Biden throwing in that his wife "is drop dead georgous" and had plenty of college credentials to boot, was in an effort to take the limelight off of Michelle and put it on someone who was a little more "BELIEVEABLE" and ladylike...Michelle is about as feminine as any member of the Green BAY Packers.....and hearing that Sasquatch was missing, I believe we may have found her in Denver and on the podium at the DNC convention....

I don't mind a politican being critical of the direction this country is headed, but for Barack and Michelle Obama to repeatedly state that they are ashamed of OUR country is absolute bulls#$t! I will never vote for a man who actually went to a liberal nation like Germany and apologized for OUR country's actions like Barack Obama did. If he and Michelle don't like it here, then they can leave and join all the other Socialists in Europe. Go McCain, a man who is proud to serve our country.

If Michelle Obama is supposed to be responsible for making sure that running for leader of the free world doesnt go to Obamas head, she has failed. Here is just a sampling. There is more . . .

First, what is the DEFINITION OF POMPOUS

Main Entry: pomp·ous Pronunciation: \??päm-p??s\ Function: adjective Date: 15th century
    1 : excessively elevated or ornate <pompous rhetoric>
    2 : having or exhibiting self-importance : arrogant <a pompous politician>

    EXAMPLES OF OBAMAs POMPOUSNESS

    * Created his own presidential campaign seal in the image of the official Presidential seal (altering the words). http://embeds.blogs.foxnews.com/2008/06/23/obama-seal-no-more/

    * Obama requested to accept the Democratic presidential nomination at a 76,000-seat open-air stadium (a rather dramatic venue) rather than at the site of the Dems national convention location across town where nominations usually are held (holds 20,000 seats). (This moves creates many logistical problems the DNC twill need to deal with as well as raises security challenges). All because he wants to be idolized by people in massive proportions all around him (like Caesar or Nero) in a grandeur atmosphere. http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2008/07/07/politics/main4236555.shtml?source=RSSattr=HOME_4236555

    * Obama requested aides to try to arrange a speech at a second DRAMATIC VENUE: Berlins Brandenburg Gate! The same venue that Ronald Reagan spoke at and JFK made a speech in front of when they were Presidents, not wannabe Presidents.

    * Obamas speech in Germany was a whole bunch of pompous clichés. Stuff like IT FALLS TO US TO ACT WITH THE SAME SENSE OF PURPOSE AND PRAGMATISM AS AN EARLIER GENERATION, TO JOIN WITH FRIENDS AND PARTNERS TO LEAD THE WORLD ANEW --wrapped around the conventional wisdom. And that is all there ever has been to Barack Obama: symbolism and grandiloquent speeches.

Does the above sound like running for the leader of the free world has not gone to his head????

    • Posted By: joe_mama @ 08/07/2008 7:01:06 AM

      WHOA! HOLD THE HORSES!!!!

You mean to tell me that a guy who thinks he's capable of RULING THE FREE WORLD is arrogant?????

OH, the deception! OH, the outrage! HOW could he????

I could NEVER vote for a candidate who thinks can be President of the United States ... it's the epitome of narcisism (you might need to look that one up....)

      JM

What he is saying is that Obama has a serious superiority complex. He likes to pander to the crowds and deliver impressiving-sounding speeches in front of monuments, i.e the Brandenberg Gate, Victory Column, Illinois State Capitol, etc. What he fails to realize is that after a while, voters want you to humble yourself and express humility. I want to elect a president who realizes that the office he seeks is much greater than himself. Obama has done nothing to convince me that he can humble himself.

    • Posted By: sharenews @ 08/06/2008 4:00:40 AM

But then, why should it be Michelle Obamas responsibility to keep the size of Obamas head bloating. He is supposed to be his own person. A leader not influenced by ego inflation, like was experienced in the eras of old with e.g. Caesar, Nero, etc. LMAO. Really, I dont blame Michelle for him loving the attention including the celebritiy limelite with endorsements by Ludicrous, Spike Lee, etc. He cant help himself. LOL
