Every naturalization ceremony I've attended, where hundreds of new Americans raised their hands to swear an oath of allegiance to this land of liberty, has been a moment of pride for me. So have the awesome displays of American compassion at home and around the world. When millions of Americans rallied to help victims of the 2004 tsunami in Southeast Asia - including members of the U.S.S. Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group that sped from Hong Kong to assist survivors - my heart filled with pride. It did again when the citizens of Houston opened their arms to Hurricane Katrina victims and folks across the country rushed to their churches and offices of the Salvation Army and Red Cross to volunteer.

How about American resilience? Does that not make you proud? Only a heart of stone could be unmoved by the strength, valor, and determination displayed in New York , Washington , D.C., and Shanksville, Pa. , on September 11, 2001.

I believe it was Michael Kinsley who quipped that a gaffe is when a politician tells the truth. In this case, it's what happens when an elite Democratic politician's wife says what a significant portion of the party's base really believes to be the truth: America is more a source of shame than pride.

Michelle Obama has achieved enormous professional success, political influence, and personal acclaim in America . Ivy League educated, she's been lauded by Essence magazine as one of the 25 World's Most Inspiring Women; by Vanity Fair as one of the ten World's Best-Dressed Women; and named one of "The Harvard 100" most influential alumni. She has had an amazingly blessed life. But you wouldn't know it from her campaign rhetoric and her griping about her and her husband's student loans.

For years, we've heard liberals get offended at any challenge to their patriotism. And so they are again aggrieved and rising to explain away Mrs. Obama's remarks.

Ok, pearsoncrz or Harley or Hotstuff , I got your number. Just as a sidenote, I have plenty of complimentary blogs saved to discredit anything you are saying about me writing racist blogs, etc. which is ridiculous. If anything, all the bloggers that have sent compliments my way thanked me for the extensive research I put into bringing information to them to review and make their own evaluations. NOT to force it down their throats but to make their own conclusions one way or another about their candidate or my candidate or even either of our opposing candidates. And guess what. I have saved all of those complimentary comments by bloggers just in case I have someone as disrespectful as you try to discredit my name. So get use to it. I will continue to report much researched articles, information about all three candidates and post them for all to digest and comment on as they wish.

I am not associated with all those other posters, and have only changed my blog ID after you and others engaged in racially offensive conduct trying to attribute it to me. I changed my ID to reflect who I actually am, you can google me if you want to see the details for yourself.

Not only am I not a racist, but unlike Obama, who only claims a civil rights litigation background, without a trial to his name, I have been a practicing civil rights attorney for decades, prosecuting race and sex and age discrimination claims for individual employees and representing labor unions and wrongly discharged individuals in workers compensation cases.

I hope when I complain again you get banned. How many alternative IDs do you have???

Amen. I heard that Michelle O. has been meeting with designers to work on changing the interiors of the WH. WHAT?? Her husband is not even the DEM nominee, let alone the president. Who does this Obama family think they are? The king and queen of America? They forget we don't them in America. The American people get to vote their own free will. Not what the what press or Obama tells them to do.

I am making calls for Hillary in all the states coming up and I am donating all I can. I really don't want to see what America is going to look like in 4 years with this stuck up couple in the WH. The media is all for Obama. It is sickening. There is no more unbias press. I wish to God I knew what was going on. Why do you think the media is kissing Obamas butt?

I have already decided If GOD forbid Hillary doesn't make it, I will vote for Nader. I wouldn't vote for Obama if the world was coming to an end. I am speaking to my family and friends about leaving the DEM party and registering IND. I can't believe a guy that so many of his supporters think is GOD is trying to take over my great party. I am a 20 year lifelong DEM and I can't believe I am facing this.

I have also left a message for Howard Dean of the DNC and told him I will leave the DEM party and vote for Nader if Obama is the nominee. She is the angry young woman at the side of the man who is running to become the next President of the United States. She is the anti-American woman who had her children baptized by a racist Pastor, who shouted sermons against America and white society. 2 MICHELLES, 2 AMERICAS & SHAME vs. PRIDE

Like Michelle Obama, I am a "woman of color." Like Michelle Obama, I am a working mother of two young children. Like Michelle Obama, I am a member of the 13th generation of Americans born since the founding of our great nation.

Unlike Michelle Obama, I can't keep track of the number of times I've been proud - really proud - of my country since I was born and privileged to live in it. At a recent speech in Milwaukee on behalf of her husband's Democratic presidential campaign, Mrs. Obama remarked, "For the first time in my adult lifetime, I am really proud of my country, and not just because Barack has done well, but because I think people are hungry for change."

Mrs. Obama's statement was met with warm applause from other Barack supporters who have also apparently been devoid of pride in their country during their adult lifetimes. Or maybe it was just a Pavlovian response to the word "change." What a sad, empty, narcissistic, ungrateful, unthinking lot.

I'm just seven years younger than Mrs. Obama. We've grown up and lived in the same era. And yet, her self-absorbed attitude is completely foreign to me. What planet is she living on? Since when was now the only time the American people have ever been "hungry for change"?

This article does not mention his agent of change. What is his change mean? Why not publish his comments on what he is going to change? If he spelled it out totally, then he would not win,I guess? Is he being a coward? Why not tell the truth before he gets kicked out of office for misrepresenting himself and especially his minister whom hates America. This story by Newsweek seems to hide a lot of things about the true Barack Obama such as why he changed his name.

From what I can see, Michelle is a racist. She is only concerned about black people and what she can get for them. But then why should that suprise us, she and her husband have supported a chuch and pastor that hates anyone that is not black. She and her husband are raising their children to view blacks and whites the same way as their church teaches......hate white.....love black. If Obama wins the Presidential election, it is going to be a long 4 years with everyone (newspapers, tv, magazines, etc.) walking on egg shells, watching every word they say and every question they ask and every remark they make, and especially if it is not favorably, so that the Obama's and the entire black race will not twist it around to sound as if it was made just because he his black...........yes, it will be a long 4 years.
