    Kosovo should be given the opportunity to be independent like Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macau, East Timor, Papua New Guinea unless and until the majority of the people agree to be ruled by others. This is a freeworld and not the jurrasic period where the mighty ruled! The west are so concerned about personal freedom and rights and it should now be translated into action by recognizing Kosovo without condition.

      We will brother, don't worry, but you should be more realistic. No one hates America, especial not Serbs who are Orthodox Christians. We will forgive you, so we can have piece in our souls. We know that God will do what needs to be done and is punishing us for our sins like communism etc. In our churches priests are praying for the piece in whole world, for "this town" for this country and all authorities. I don't think that Jihadists are praying for any of you guys. Maybe they pray their God to get you head tomorrow.

      You don't know Albanians. They will teach their children and children of their children to hate anything Serbian and hate threat will not stop if this generations dies.

      Just for your information there were no genocide on Kosovo. It was Volker???s and CNN propaganda, so Clinton could bomb Serbia. Read report of Norvey pathologist who were doing investigation on Kosovo. She said that "civilians" were KLA (terrorist) fighters and clothes were put on top of their uniforms. US government by 1999 treated KLA and its leader (today's president) Hasim Taci as terrorist organization.

        I agree that there are very nice people in Albania. 20% Orthodox Christian and 10% Catholic. Aproximately. But, we are not talking about Albanians from Albania my friend. We are talking about Albanians from Kosovo. Completely different people and mind set. Big difference.

    Just to let you know guys that Serbs are fighting Nazi very hard. In one day Nazi executed 7,000 kids and professors from schools in Serbia. Albanians on the other side were on Nazi side even having their own SS divisions.

    Kosovo is going to be, beside part of Bosnia controlled by Muslims, one more radical Islam country with fully developed Al Qaida cells. Beside that main drug path goes from Afgan thru Turkey and Kosovo into Europe and main narco dialers in Europe are Albanians from Kosovo.
    This is so stupid move of U.S. government caused by financially strong lobby in Wa D.C.
    Unbelievable.

    number1yankee - you probably saw the worst side of a group of people, which is why you were needed to police these people. I am quite sure that Albanians can be animals, just like Serbs - and soldiers such as yourself bravely keep the peace.

    It's not a good idea to stereotype people. I have seen Albanians that look like completely different races of people. The Kosovo Albanians are more fanatical due to the constant fighting with Serbs. The Albanians in Albania can pass for Greek in the south or pass for Slovak in the north - at least to my eyes.

    I agree with you on the illegal immigration issue. I think a wall needs to be built between the US and Mexico, however, I have many hispanic friends who speak English just as well as me and are just as American as me. The wall is just to keep the U.S from being flooded so much that it outstrips our ability to handle them. As long as they follow immigration law and learn to speak good English and don't live off of the state I am happy to have them. I just hate illegal immigration.

    Does it make your case easier by offending Albanians? What are the Serbs, the devil of Christianity? The crusaiders of the 21 Century? Islam, retards? And while I am Christian myself, I take offense at what you say. Serbs had and still have a chance, Kosova deserves its OWN fate. If they fail (and they will not), they will blame themselves, IF Serbia fails, WHO will they blame? Kosova, the West? It is the people who suffer in the end, and not governments and politicians.

    One undeniable truth is that America must be a wonderful country since both the Serbs and Albanians have immigrated here, either legally or illegally.     Facts: Serbia was 500 years occupied by Muslims, and that is where its experience is coming. Serbia was on Ally side and lost 1/3 of population in WWI (1/2 of male population). Serbia was on Ally side in WWII and lost more than 1.2 million people. Communism in Serbian was installed by Churchill and country suffered 50 years under communist and Albanian terror. Churches destroyed, people prosecuted and exterminated. Operation Merciful Angel 1999 left 2500 dead (90 kids) and 30 tons of deployed uranium so a lot of kids are getting cancer now and mid age people are dying 30% more.

    First of all I would like to remind you all that there is no Yugoslavia anymore, not by any meaning. Serbia is the country we are talking about, and that country is the only legal successor of FORMER Yugoslavia. I would like to ask those who claim that Kosovo region should become an independent state a few questions - What about 250 000 ethnic Serbs whom have been forced out from their homes? Shall they be able to come back some day to that "new state" (who shall rebuild their homes)? What about KLA war crimes? What about billions of dollars that FORMER Yugoslavia (especially Serbia as a member state) invested in Kosovo's mines, factories, electric plants and all kinds of national facilities? Will Kosovo Government pay it back? I don't think so. What about the fact that over a million Albanians haven't payed taxes to Yugoslavia (their own country) for almost 25 years, yet we lived in peace those days...
    What about the violence in 17. march 2004, when Albanians destroyed Serbian cultural monuments and churches? Is that the message of tolerance and peace which this new "government" claims?
    There are too many questions of this type, and I could not possibly ask all of them now...
    One question is the most important...What about the INTERNATIONAL LAW - equality for all? Many self-proclaimed today's regions could do the same thing.
    The real solution would be a geographic divide of Kosovo (which would be more than generous act of Serbia) with some kind of compensation for the Serbian refugees, and for stolen mines, facilities etc. Serbian monasteries should be specially protected by the UN, and easy accessible for all Serbs. My wishes as a Serbian democrat are that Kosovo stays in Serbia, with the full autonomy and more than that. Remember Albanians, we took down Milosevic in 2000 for you too!

    I am not really sure why world would be darker without U.S. I think opposite. Dropping bombs all around the world U.S. is making world dark. You should stay at home and take care about your own problems. Actually I think that U.S. people are very good people but there are some global powers who are abusing that people and U.S. military power. Those people don't care about U.S. They are part of international global community. If tomorrow U.S. lost jobs, they don't care. They are not patriots. The good example is pres. Bush who got big portion of American industry outside of the country.

    Republic of Kosovo will flourish. All this rubbish that there are lots of criminals and organised crime (in Kosovo), I can assure you that is no more than in any other country in Europe.
    Kosovo was ruled, occupied by a bunch of criminals (Serbian government) who were working closely with these criminals in Kosovo.
    Now we have a state, we will have our own police and army, our government.
    Judge us after few years and we will see who the real criminals are?
