However, there is one request that I would like to put forward - before finishing your post, could you please display some patience, lean back, and remember what that old German E.Kant reflected in his moral imperative - "do not do to the others what you don't want to be done to you" (sorry for simplification). I am very well aware that this resource here is a good place to blow off some steam, so that one can go on living, truly. However my lowly person here, for instance, would normally refrain from using the vocabulary you fairly often resorted to here. Granted, we do not know much about each other, but intelligent guesswork suggests that you should be a young person, and because of your age and probably level of education quite frequently unable to resist the temptation of sacrificing your good manners in the heat of a debate. Pray, try to resist this temptation in the future, however strong your position is. The language of facts is quite often more frequent more persuasive than mere allegations. It is your born right to make your beliefs know, for instance - that "Greeks, Serbs and Russians can not be trusted" collectively, as nations (the same goes for "Slavic animals", I am afraid). However in this case your ethnical prejudices do not stand you in good stand, because if we attempt to analyse the utterances of this style we would come very close to a conclusion that they border on intolerance, moreover - intolerance towards whole ethnical groups, thus invalidating your own arguments.
Please read this article once more, it is quite a balanced view on the situation in that troubled part of former Communist bloc, and remember that this forum here is for leaving your opinion on what the newspaper people wrote, and not publicizing your private frustrations about some bad nations that unfortunately still exist on the face of our little green Globe.

I do apologize for my behavior. I would appreciate if historian2008 is mortified by his comments and his own opinion about Albanian people, which have suffered so much for centuries. So many of his comments are not true and it will raise temper of anyone by reading it. All we Albanians want freedom, for which we were waiting so long, this day has come, we want to enjoy it, and leave all the passed behind, even though it is very hard. If the Serbs don???t stop teasing us, then how do you think we may go in Europe together? I know that, borders are not going to make any sense in the future, but what I have seen on TV this passed couple of days, is making me wonder, can we ever leave side by side with Serbs without borders. Again, I do apologize for using words, which were inappropriate, and I am sorry for offense it may have caused.

For ninoo: There is no need to beat your head around the BUSH. Separatists never made history and law always prevailed in the end. Kosovo and Metohija have been are and will legally be part of sovereign Serbia. Kosovo has an autonomy in Serbia that is legal and will remain according to Serbian constitution. The truth is that this conflict showed the sharp devisions among countries, but nothing legally more. Albanians from Serbia (Kosovo) have the legal right to immigrate to Albania. There will never be another Albanian state legally. The UN has not approved the separatist move.and I am sure WILL NOT. Every reasonable member of the UN realizes that the"recognition"of Kosovo will untie the hands of the terrorists and separatists all over the world and will push the world to WWIII.

I am simply unable to see any logical explanation for what was happening in FYRO Macedonia just several years before if we interpret the actions of the secession groups in the Souther Balkans in this century only as a response to massacres of thousands of bosnian muslims and kosovo albanians, inspired by Mr.Milosevic and carried out in cold blood by "For Serb Freedom"'s countrymen and their Russian mercenary cronies. I tried to follow your line of thinking and found myself rather perplexed because Macedonia (mentioned in the first post in this thread here) does not seem to fit in there... First look at the history??? do not be ignorant about what has been going on for a long time Kosovo is an Albanian nation. It always was and always will be even when they did not have their independence they still called themselves Albanian because they are so do some research ahead of time. And "freedom for Serb" they are free they are also greedy because they want something that does not belong to them. I am looking forward to the day when Kosovo will finally become a part of Albania as it always should have been because they are 1 people they are Albanian and not even the many years of separation has that been forgotten.

I read so many books and am one of 80% of Albanians that can read and write in many other languages other than Albanian, not as you dummy Serbs that hardly can speak your own language (except reporters that must know some other languages). Time has shown how smart can Albanians be. In 1974 we got university, before that every Albanian trying to get educated were tortured and even killed, in period of couple of years after getting our University we Albanians got all Serbian jobs and stopped letting Serbia use our natural resources to build their cities (compare cities in Serbia with the one in Kosova), soon after Tito died Albanians were able to use their vote in Yugoslavian federation and get to have Albanian president of Yugoslavia. All this was deadly for Serbs so they started using force by sending heavily armed troops from other parts of Serbia and even poisoning Albanian children in elementary schools (do you think world don???t know about all this). Until that time in government jobs were mostly Serbs sent from Serbia, because Albanians were not educated and never allowed to get educated. I know so many would ask how did Albanians got to have university, answer to this is that Tito was forced to change constitution of Yugoslavia in 1974 after creating Independent Pact with Nasser and Nehru. So many countries interested to leave NATO pact or Varsava Pact and become members of this Independent Pact asked Tito why he is not giving rights to Albanians in Yougoslavia, which are third population in this country. Tito answered as he has no knowledge of no rights for Albanians in Kosova and in short period of time discharged cetnik Alexander Rankovic as person in charge for Kosova. Alexander Rankoviq by using Vasa Cubrilovic plan expelled to different parts of the world more than 400000 Albanians from Kosova. My father was telling me how road of more than 10 miles from city of Peja ( Pec) to Gjakova ( dzakovica) in both sides had trees in which were hanging Albanians, they were man , woman and ever children, don???t be surprised because Serbs have no mercy in any human ( do you think world doesn???t know about all this ? ). To all Serbian historians, tell me why Alexander Rankovic was discharged from his government position and what was Vasa Cubrilovic plan for Albanians started in 30s before ww2. I guess you got to change your Serbian history books, and publish new once with the truth if you ever want to live in peace in this part of the world, lies are not working any more so give up the lies and face the truth. "Varsava Pact" - please, forgive me my ignorance, you misspelling the Warsaw Pact is due to the influence of your native language, am I right? No, as much as I respect you just like one civilized person should respect the other, please be so kind and follow through with my humble request to avoid simplifying historical facts down to the level of little man from the street, with all accents in place to fit within the self-imposed limits of your personal view. It sounds like a surprise (unless my memory failed me completely), since the Kievan Rus (the first Rusian, or Ukrainian, state - and Carpathian Ruthenians <Russians> as a matter of fact are in all reality Ukrainians - emerged only in 10th Century. So the exodus of Serbs (which you described in one of your posts) from Carpathian Russia (Russians?) must have taken place 2 centuries before the eastern slavs (and their territory) were called Rus for the first time... In other words, when the prehistoric slavs (western - poles, czechs, etc... and sothern - croatians, bulgarians, slovenians, serbs, etc.) migrated from the East into Europe, they left no Russia behind, which makes me believe that you remark that Serbs "were soldiers in Russia" is a little bit far-fetched, if you forgive me that word.
Should you resolve to comment my humble remarks here right after the first time you've read them please be so kind to forbear from using any depreciatory vocabulary - instead, I would beg you to take your time, think this all over, and thank you

Well this is time for big Ivan to put-up or shut up. It's one thing to buzz a carrier group in the patrol zones off of Japan. It's another to watch their slavic buddies take it in the shorts again. Me, if Ivan woulda asked and acted nice instead of thugging up, we wouldn't probably be planning Ossetian and Abkhazian movements to keep him busy. Ivan has a lot of subjugated people under his thumb. The Serbs? A joke.

No, the secession movements here were repressed brutally. 1861-65. If you think Mexico has the economic or military power to invade and take US territory, then we will, just like the 1840's slaughter their tails all the way to Mexico City. As far as the Reconquista or La Raza types, or La Mecha, wait until the FBI gets a President who cracks down on non-white hate groups. In the meantime, they are self-deporting in droves because we aren't hiring them anymore and the NAFTA club is losing at the country club.
No Russia will dissolve. It has subjugated dozens of ethnic groups for hundreds of years. The rise in Russian influence is due to oil revenue, which is a diminishing commodity that the rest of the world is engineering solutions around. Russia will still be a backwards patch of unconnected wastelands interspersed by beautiful cities, and no economic clout.

Kosovoand Metohija have been the spiritual heart of the Serbia for over 1000 years.
Before the military actions of the 90s there were 1800 Orthodox
cathedrals and monasteries, 200 of which date back to the times before
the 14th century when the Serbian Patriarchate was established in 1346. Kosovo and Metohija is sprinkled with castles where Serbian kings resided and the most important events of Serbian history took place.
