Everyone who thinks Kosovo should be independent:
You need to understand that wikipedia is not a credential resource in order to support such a vast subject. I firmly agree with "SRBIN", not because he's a Serb and speaking form the Serbian Point of View, but because what he's mentioning is most likely from personal experience if not parents/grandparents experience.
During the early stages of the war, especially against Albanians in Kosovo, Serbs did not have adequate equipment nor did they have satelites do report the war, instead the Albanians(muslims) who did have such equipment reported everything in their benefit as oppose to the actual occurence. Such misreported information was in many people's hands as in front of many people's eyes. In everyone's eyes and mind, Albanians (muslims) were the victims, but what happened to the Serbs? Where's the report of Albanians ripping down Serbian churches, killing the Serbian people? Why just post the one-sided story?

In order to know the exact history of Kosovo, you would've had to live throughout those years, like so many of us. But since you couldn't do that, you should do a better research on the subject, instead of visiting wikipedia. Read some Serbian Books, go visit the country and see what is going on and what has been going on?

Provided such, what if all the Mexicans living in New Mexico decided that they wanted New Mexico to be part of Mexico, would that be fair? Would your president vote for it? Think about it. You're taking a part of our land, part of Serbia's land that we had fought for so many years. Serbs were nice enough to let The Albanians live on their territory many years ago, and that's how they should be reppaid?

Hey Moshe I think your knowlege about WW2 war and Jews is a bit poor. Where do you get your info. Yugoslavia was destroyed by Milosevic because he was a stupid man with a lot of issues, and USA backed it up because Yugoslavia as a country was very powerfull. Kosovo was lost to Serbia many years ago and finished in 1999. It could survived within Serbia but with a diferent politics> But people who were/are in charge of Serbia and Kosovo both didn't care about it. USA wan's Kosovo because of their huge army base there and all the mines of cole there. Kosovo will be a criminal country until people of Kosovo decide to make it a real country of laws. You will see what kind of traficing will be there, there already is.
And the bull about Tito? He was a Croat and a comunist. Not a Serb. But Serbs were stupid to follow him. And that is why they are paying now. Will they ever get smarter?

Let Kosovo be indepedent.After all there is no indication of it ever been ruled by Serbia.The issue of recognition is another issue all together. Even now, the states that have faile to recognize them did so not because they disagree with the independence but simply on the pretext that it will set unprecendented step for restive priovinces in their own countries. The question of territorial integrity and self determination are now at war in a way never seen before.How the world powers handle Kosovo issue need to be examined closely because many other nations that have faced similar dilemma will also put their issue on the table.After all recognition depends on uncle sam and not that mobibund body in the name of the UN

Albania was only county in Europe who saved all the Jews. However, you do not need even to go back to WW2 to see what Serbia brought to the balcans - wars, killings and disintegration. Kosova was never lived by Serbs. While politicitians guide countries, they have brainwashed the serbs and used Kosova as a way to distract them from the real political and economical problems in the country. Kosova will never be part of Serbia again.
