Another Failed State?

Unfortunately, very weak analysis of the situation is presented on this article.Obviously there is an enormous bias view toward serbs, but I believe this author (of Newsweek?!) is stating strong negative and poor vision of the future of the region.My only comment on this article is that does he really understand how new states are created and developed into modern sovereign countries?
This would not be the first state created under the existing conditions.During history, there were a lots of countries that were established on fairly weak economies, but later developed into strong societies.

I think the attack on American embassy by Serbians is wrong. If America supports an independent Kosovo it is only expressing its own right. The Ethnic Albanians who live in Kosovo reserve the right to decide how they want to be led. The Serbians should concenntrate on solving their own economic and social problem rather than fighting over an independent Kosovo. How well has the leadership of Serbia feared in Serbia let alone bothering themselves about an independent Kosovo which has not been under their rule anyway in the last nine years. I think the the Serbian are just looking forward to continue their oppression of the ethnic Albanians in Kosovo. I praise the International community for their quick recognition of Independent Kososvo. As for Rusiia Vladmit Putin has an unpopular agenda of polarising world power which is doomed to fail eventually.

In 1861 the USA had a war to stop exactly what they are backing up in Serbia. Kosovo is part of Serbia just like the southern states were part of the USA then. To back up kosovans in their idea of independence without them having a viable economy and the north of Kosovo (the really rich area of the territory) moving back to stay with Serbia, it is ridiculous and a mistake for the USA to back this movement. In the USA Maine is creating a movement to secede from the USA because they say Washington does not represent their interests. I'll be very interesting to see how Washington is going to deal with this. If they agree with Kosovo's independence, Washington has to reason to deny Maine it's own independence.

Its hard to assume that the US can justly handle all foreign matters nor should we be expected to. However, it is comforting that the US was able to justly handle the Kosvo question by aiding independence.

HAVE THE UNITED STATES NOT CREATED ENOUGH UNIVERSAL HAVOC BY INVADING A SOVEREIGN NATION OF IRAQ AND NOW THEY HAVE DISTABLISED THE BALKANS BY ALLOWING 2 MILLION ALBENIAN MOSLEMS DECLARE INDEPENDANCE IN KOSOVO. IF THE US IS PRESENTING THE WORLD WITH REAL JUSTIFICATION IN THEIR DASTARDLY ACTS WHY DONT THEY ALLOW SOUTH EASTER TURKEY DECLARE A NEW COUNTRY OF KURDISTAN WHERE 20 MILLION KURDS LIVE UNDER HORENDOUS CONDITIONS OF SLAVERY.

Serbs need to get a life of their own in their own land. not in bosnia, not in kosovo not hatin the rest of the world and surely not by burning world embassies. Its sad to see that they still try to use violence to get their agenda, at least it has improved now, now they brun embassies vs having state troops rape innocent girls and kill babies of non serbs. i really wish one day serbs wake up and snap out of their brainwashed mode.

Homo Sapiens (today's humans) have been here for approximately 250,000 years. That would be about- 91,250,000 days or 2,190,000,000 hours. Forget about that for now and lets just look at the last 8 years from 1999 till today.
In 1999 the wolds population of humans was around 6 billion and in 2007 it was about 6.5 billion. To be conservative I'll just use the 1999 figure of 6 billion for each of the past 8 years up to now. Every day, each one of our humans has some kind of brain activity going on. Lets say that each human has 12 hours of conscious brain activity a day. We won't count all the foggy people on earth, so that's a generous 4 hours of non conscious brain activity added to the sleep time of the unfoggy people to average out the conscious brain activity of each person for each hour of each day. Now we have 6 billion X 12 hours of conscious brain activity each day which is 72,000,000,000 hours of thought per day that would be 26,280,000,000,000 hours of conscious thought each year of the last 8 years which is 210,240,000,000,000 hours of conscious brain activity that has occured over the past 8 years. 210 TRILLION + 240 BILLION HOURS OF CONSCIOUS BRAIN ACTIVITY OVER ONLY THE LAST 8 YEARS. AND WE KEEP MAKING THE SAME MISTAKES OVER AND OVER AND WE JUST CAN'T LEARN HOW TO LIVE TOGETHER NOT AS SERBS OR ALBANIANS OR ARABS OR EUROPEANS OR AMERICANS but as HUMANS WHO DON'T HURT EACH OTHER OR KILL EACH OTHER. SOMEONE ONCE SAID LOVE THY NEIGHBOR AS THY SELF BUT HE WAS WRONG HE SHOULD HAVE SAID DON'T KILL YOUR NEIGHBOR JUST AS MUCH AS YOU DON'T WANT TO BE KILLED. We can start there.

All I have to say please read >>THE ALBANIANS - An Ethnic History from Prehistoric Times to the Present<< by EDWIN E. JACQUES. Who ever read this book, today is accepting Kosovas independence (Bill Clinton, Havier Solana and many others read the book for sure). EDWIN E. JACQUES isn???t Albanian or Serbian historian so there is much more truth in his book then in other books written by Albanian, Serbian or Russian historian.
