is too much sleep also dangerous? like more than 7 hours sleep...
Doesn't over sleeping have the same effect? I mean you wake up tired and sometimes I wake up with a headache like if I had a hangover.
comment: I do try get more sleeps a week but why still tired in the noon? what should we really care beside 8 hours sleep?

Does afternoon ciesta is added to the 7-8 hours/day of the needed sleeping hours.
We live in a rather hot climate 7 months a year, is there any studies that may back up the theory of at least 8 hours of sleep are needed in such weather condition!!

I am Military and only average 2 -3 hours of sleep a ngiht for the past 16 years. I have alot of medical issues with my body as far as bad knees, back and neck pain. I have had a spinal fusion in my neck where they inserted a metal plate and a few screws. Also a few knee surgerys. What can I do to get more sleep as my body hurts to much to sleep.
THAT'S CORRECT! according to the standard way of living,sleeping seven to eight hours a night is enough...you will live longer if you sleep more,eat well and get enough exercise...see the result if you reach at age 100...if not,its your LIFESTYLE....ok,it's not too late,SLEEP well!!!!
I have ALWAYS known that I need 8-9 hours of sleep to feel completely rested. I can function on 7. Anything less than that, I'm cranky and whiny like a little kid. Plus, I am a night person, so not a morning person. Could one have something to do with the other? Hmmm.....
I just read another research; 7 hours was the best, less or more was just as bad, so sleeping longer is not better either. And that i was "genetic" how much you need to sleep to feel rested.

I sleep 3-5hours of quality sleep per night. I feel lazy if I get any more sleep. I have a full-time job, part-time job, and school part-time & I have time to study, hangout w/friends, workout....I'm asleep by 2am & awake at 5am.

hi i am 40 years old and i am working in superstore working as night assistant so working 5days a week in night shift and in day time i am sleeping about 6 hours in break not continue like 2hours and then 1 hour and thn 2/3 hours so is it good..? if not what should i do i cant sleep continues 6/ hours..thanks...francis.
