yeeeee, people that sleep less live less
That's true. people that sleep less live less.
Is it true that you should be asleep at 10pm to 2 am, for these hours are the time where your body replaces your cells?
well !!!!!!!! good post.
i have a Question- some people sleep 3/4hrs a day. how can they do normal life??
i saw they are doing well. no coronic disease.
With Bush recking the economy over the last 8 years how is anybody supposed to get 7 hours of sleep and be able to support a family????
I am one of those who fall into the sleep deprived category. I work a night job and take care of my kids during the day. I sleep about two hours in the morning on my couch (more or less leaving my kids unsupervised during that time), about two more hours during their nap time, and another two hours after my wife gets home in the evening. That is my routine. So that is a maximum of six hours of sleep I get during the week. I am constantly exhausted and know that I cannot keep this up forever. Luckily I have been able to function on this much sleep for about two years now, but in that time frame I have noticed that my short term memory has gotten worse and I am much more irritable than I used to be. It's obvious my wife and I need to find affordable day care so that I can return to living a normal lifestyle and getting the proper amount of sleep.

I heard that there is also a proper time to sleep (10 pm to 2 am). You ought to be sleep at these hours for these are the hours that your body replaces its cells, e.g. blood cells, etc.
Just like when you yawn at night, the tear in your eyes are helping you to get to bed.
Quantity and quality of sleep are questions that need to be asked by all healthcare providers. How many errant drivers are impaired by poor sleep? How many workplace accidents are caused by lack of sleep? The fact is, gray hair does not increase mortality, it's simply an indicator of an increased possibility of mortality. Generalizing that older citizens tend to naturally develop gray hair, the more aged we are, the higher the likelihood of death. (Sorry if this is too obvious.)
In the case of sleep, subjects divided into two groups according to their length of sleep is an easy and simple randomization and one that should have been done years ago. Length and quality of sleep could be indicators of stress or other issues, but the fact remains, doctors need to ask the question.
Well said.
