All I hear is that Obama stands for change. What kind of change. How do I know it will be a change I want? I don't trust him, especially after I read that he was courting black voters in private and white voters publically. What is that? I think his dishonesty will come back to bite him hard if he runs against the republicans. I don't want to see a republican in office so I only hope that people will wake up. At least Clinton has a plan and is open about it. The fact is that Obama doesn't have the experience needed to be able to compete against a republican that does. Clinton does. Ideally, they would run together, but I don't see that ever happening. If Obama wins, he most certainly will pick an white man to run with him- someone similar to his advising staff- and I don't mean the token black staff he hired after the fact. I don't trust him.

Any change is better than what we are dealing with now. We're scrambling to get the economy in order. We're scrambling to get our troops home. We're scrambling for health care for the under-insured or non-insured. If you want change, you MUST vote Democrat. The media needs to STOP focusing on race and sex-it's about the human beings. I'm tired as are many others of these break downs of catagories of who voted for who. As long as we are voting and engaging in the democrat process, a change will come!

I have seen too many elections won where someone votes for change but that is all they are voting for. All I hear is that Obama stands for change. Big deal. This can be bad for people unless they know what that change will be. I read that he was courting the black vote but keeping it a secret from the whites. Just telling everyone what they wanted to hear. Sad. This will most certainly come back to bite him in the Primary. At least Clinton has a plan and you know exactly where she stands. Personally, I don't think he will be able to win the election over the Republicans on his own. A running ticket ot both Obama and Clinton would be perfect but I don't think that will ever happen. . .

Change is what I want and if you don't talk about it what else is there. We have heard all about promise and I did this, so why not?

The fact that Obama has less experience is what is actually drawing me to him. His entire platform talks about changing the way Washington does business. Do you really think another professional politician, i.e. Hillary Clinton or John McCain is going to do that? I guarantee that if Hillary or McCain win the white House it will be another 4 years of politicts as usual with nothing getting done. Clinton adn McCain are "lifers" who will promise you the moon and a pot of gold in order to get elected. Once elected nothing happens. I thinkwe are at the point where we voters need to "take a chance" with a new voice who is not baggaged down with a lot of past experience. Remember, wiht all Hillary's and McCain's past experience comes past debts to special interests. It's time to free ourselves of that cycle.

Has anyone seen Obama "not" put his hand over his heart while listening to the national anthem? Of course we all have seen "Hoov @" spelling, and I am not quite sure that your opinion should be taken seriously. I'm thinking that the unpatriotic side of Obama would be the first thing that the Clinton camp would have commented on. I haven't heard a word from Hillary about his unpatriotic behavior, so, I'm thinking that is all made up propaganda by some illiterate, biggotted, racial american.

Having Hillary in the White House would be a terrible thing for the USA, Obama may be just as bad or worse. I'm not all that thrilled with McCain, but I guess he'll have to do. What I really want is someone who will tell us in specific terms how they will balance the budget and reduce the national debt, without increasing taxes. I want to know what specific steps they will take to stop illegal immigration; not in the future, but now. Specifically, how will they balance the trade problems so that our jobs quit going overseas and in fact come back home. We do not have the industry left in this country to cloth our own citazens if China and others pulled the plug on us.

    Perfect Con Job

For a while I`ve been closely watching the election campaign going on and boy i cannot believe how the white people in the US have been stupid enough to get conned by Obama..The hate and grudge you folk have towards the Clintons have turned into votes for the Messiah..Our country is in dire need of new leadership and you prayed for a miracle and lo and Behold Queen Oprah gave you the savoiur O B A M A..
Come on folks how much do you`ll know abt this guy..Before Oprah introduced him he was a nobody..Over the years Oprah earned her billions of $`s because white folks patronized her,and then she threw Obama in your laps and you`ll fell flat on your faces..Think abt it,its the white people who are giving him the votes because your notion of anyone but Hillary works well for him...
He doesn`t give a rats tail abt you ,its about sticking to the white man for the slave days that they brought to this country..The blackks don`t realize that its the blacks who sold them in the first place..Look at the African countries today, they haven`t advanced at all and are still slaughtering each other everyday..Because the white people were kind enough to bring them into this great country their lives are better, but in no way do we owe them anything more..I`m from asia and thru hard and honest work I`ve a pretty decent life..My ancestors were slaves to the Brits but we don`t go around asking for free hand outs..
Look what GW did to our country..He won too because of the hate you`ll have towards the Clintons and now we are in dire straits..Its time for you`ll to get your own identity and wake up..Right now Obama is close to winning the nomination and the White House too and all because of the hate you folks have towards Hillary..The Clintons like everyone else have made mistakes and have not claimed to be saints..Stop the bickering and hate towards them and think of how Obama will stick it to you folks..People like Oprah, sharpton,Jackson and Farrakkhan are waiting to enter the White house and then you`ll will see thier true colours..You have the power to do the right thing so don`t get blind sided because of your hate towards Hillary and the find out you have been conned..JC

I am not a Domocrat - I am a Republican. If I were a Democrat, I would vote Obama! No doubt about it! As far as I am concerned, Ms Hillary already served in the WH! I am a white, middle-class, 48 year-old woman who just might vote Obama come November! I wish the best for all the candidates but I think Barack has something to offer! We need someone fresh to lead us right now and I think he is the man for the job!

I hope that if Obama Gets Elected He Does What He is Promising To Do. If He Does Not Deliver, All Of His Supporters Better Not Retract Thier Statements About Hiliary's Ineffectiveness and Lack of Leadership Qualities. If Obama Wins Lets See What Type of Change He is About To Bring. Remember, Many Of You Only Have The Words Of Oabama To Go By, Hilary Has Been Around For Years And The Republicans And Media Have Scrutinized, Critized, And Tried To Beat Her Down, All Her Dirty Laundry is Out In The Open, OBama Has Not Been Tested Like That. When The Republican Machine Goes On The Political Attack Later This Year In The General Election, I Hope He And His Supporters Are Ready.

I htink it so very funny how the entire that Bill Clinton was on office everyone screamed that Hillary was running the Oval Ofiice. Now Hillary is running for office and everyone is screaming it will be Bill running the country! What makes this even more amusing is it's democrats who are screaming this! And if I may remind you all it was the democrats who said that the best financial years of this nation came under Bill Clintons leadership! So make up your minds all ready. It dosn't matter who becomes the president at this point because there is no one qualified to take office in either party. McCain has stabbed his own party in the back more than once. Huckbee is a very nice and charming man but, he lacks the (Balls) to be president. And I don't trust Hillary or Obama. Hillary will turn this country into a soicialist nation and Obama while a very good speaker and charming just doesn't have the experience he needs. I love my country and I am very afraid for it's future after this election!!

The people of this country would be wise to wake up where Obama is concerned, personally if Obama wins the primary I am voting Republican when it comes time to vote for president. I cannot and will not in good conscience vote for Obama and I am a true blue dedicated Democrat. I have always followed my gut instinct about people, has never steered my wrong. I cried when George Bush became President the first time around and was very dismayed by the ignorance of the American people when he was voted in the second time. Nothing good has come out of Bush being president and the economy of this country among other things speaks volumes. There is something about Obama that is not right and my feeling has nothing to do with race. I am not and will never be against a black man or women becoming president but this one is not the right one. . .

If Hillary wants to even have a chance of getting nominated she will need to come clean with all the dirty linen that she's got in her closet like Whitewater, Rose Law Firm records and the truth behind Vicent Fosters death. Just wait till you see how much money she will make when she extends thousands of pardons to convicted criminals once hse is in the White House just like Bill did. Why do you think she is lending $5 million to her campaign? She will make that back a hundred times over.

We do need a change in America because of what has been going on over the last few years. Listening and seeing what has been going one is a little disheartening because it sounds like children when they don't get their way. The untruths that are being said will only hurt the one's saying it and to think that it will help them is wrong. In looking at the two I see one with anger on their face and one with a serenity that is good. You let your conscienous be your guide and do the right thing and I believe the the American public is tire of the negativity. One is never sure until the end results are made clear. No more making excuses for the inadequacies of not being able to do what you want. We do need a change and not all of the back-biting that has been going on for years. Just because a person may have been in "politics" a lot longer doesn't mean that someone who has won't do a good job. Too many promises have been made and few carried out. We need to work together, as Senator Obama has said in order for this to work. Where is everyone else.

I don't understand everyone who says that they they are voting for change. because the candidate looks different, sounds different' or has a different sounding last name dosen't make him different. Race and gender are not what matters. If everyone really wants change why not vote for and independent third party? Why vote for either of the same two parties that have controlled our coutry since it's birth? If you really want change vote for it, but none of the mainstream candidates truly offer it.

Well, what are we looking for in a leader? Much of the same old way of doing things or something new. Our economy is a mess, people can't afford health care etc. Senator Clinton made her mark clear when she shopped around for an influential state to run for senate. While Bill was in charge she didn't even know where NY was let alone care about the economy or jobs of the state. Then she gets on her white horse, makes a few appearances, makes a few promises (none of which she followed through on) and people think she can lead a whole country? Its about her, not about her caring about the country. She needs the title...we don't need someone like that.

I just have one question, is it true that Obama will not place his hand on the Bible when sworn into office? If so why haven't we heard more about that?

This is untrue, as most things that have been said about him. His being Muslim, not pledging allegiance to the flag, etc. Please don't allow gossip, other peoples opinions and thoughts, misunderstandings, etc. mislead you. Please check Barack Obama's website, you can find the answers to all of your questions and concerns. It's important that we voters investigate each candidate ourselves, so that we are not misled in our decisions. If you want to know anything about any candidate, they all have wesites that will give you information regarding their personal lives, as well as their public and political lives. Control your own destiny and decisions, the information is out there, all you have to do is look for it. The decision that we make concerning who our next President will be, is too important to let the media, gossip, misleading emails and other people's opinions, determine who we vote for.

Our vote for President not only affects our own lives, but the lives of our children, neighbor, family, community, etc. Our vote affects whether someones loved one; husband, wife, father, mother, son or daughter will be sent to fight a baseless war. Our vote affects not only whether myself or my husband may have a job, but my neighbor, co-worker, sister, the man at the barbershop, the woman at the grocery store, the teacher at my kids school and that teachers spouse. When we vote, we should not just vote based on our own circumstances, but for everyone that will be affected by our vote, and we should consider that just because hardtimes or tragic loss has not landed on our own doorstep that it won't in the future, because it possibly could. You will find that there are many disillusioned Bush supporters that voted for him before they had lost a loved one in the "war" in Iraq, or they thought they didn't need to worry about losing their job or home. Unfortumately, it takes for things to hit home before we realize the impact of our decisions, which by that time is too late.

When I vote, I don't have to lose a loved one in Iraq, or lose my job or home, to care about my neighbors loved one in Iraq or whether my kids teacher will have a job. I care about what happens to not just myself and family, but all of my fellow Americans, as well. Voting for a President is a very serious deal, do your homework, think about the future and vote wisely.

Obama has been a Christian for the last 20 years or so. People are inventing all of this nonsense about his religion and his refusal to say the pledge of allegiance to try and fan the flames of bigotry and racism. I am not Islamic but there are plenty of nice decent hard working people out there who are and they are not terrorists. I don't think that the religion of Islam has the corner on the market of terrorism.

I find it amazing how easily Dems are sucked in by touchy feely retoric over substance. Six months ago all these Dem sheep were falling in line behind Hillary. Now Obama is the flavor of the day and the flock is jumping again. This looks like an easy win for the Republicans. The Dems socialized medicine plan will be the downfall of the Dems in Nov.

I agree with Southberwick19 I have a fear that voters are not really looking at Obama. He won't use the Bible, he doesn't say the Pledge of allegiance, and he doesn't put his hand on his heart when the pledge is beeing said. If he doesn't repect our traditions now what will he do to the very foundation the United States was founded on and our Sons have died for. Everyone needs to bewhere of false prophetes.

Are you for real? Do you know anything about this man? He goes to a BAPTIST church in Chicago. He went to CATHOLIC school as a child. He swore on the Bible when he was elected senator. Get your facts straight.

Part of the problem here to is the assumption, that any one man or woman - could change traditions, or sell out the people of this country....this isn't a monarchy - this is a republic...where the final word is always with the people....you sorry A$$es are actually proposing that these Hillary / Bush-Fear based tactics are sound rational advise that your - magnanimously passing on to your fellow citizens...? You do more to continue trying to force others to live and stay in some fear based cave......or cage...either way. WE LIVE IN THE 21st Century people. MOST PEOPLE (around the world ) understand that racisim is a sickness. And fear based politics, is remminiscent of a HITLER era long now dead. DON"T BELIEVE THE HYPE!

The longer the Clintons continue to compaign (in denial), the worse will be the damage to their reputations once Obama is finally nominated. People will not forgot their behavior any time soon.

The Democratic party needs to stand up to the Clintons (as Kennedy did) and ask her to concede before the party is split and harmed. We need to be unified to win the general election.
