The more educated one is, the more they fully understand the economics of this, and many other issues that may affect their well being and that of their families. . Maybe a study should be done that compares the education levels of all the states, vs. this 'payday lending' issue/ Think an un-intended correlation might also show up between evangelicals (and Mormons) and education levels? How about a study that compares educaiton levels among the states, and who gives most of their paychecks to their churches or 'revivalls' that pass through their towns/states. Shoot, I bet any one of you with at least a little bit of internet/research ability could do this yourselves.

It's dangerous to draw a cause and effect relation between a correlation. I think it's unfair to the Christian community to say "...there's a disproportionate number of predatory lenders???usurious money-changers, depending on what you want to call them???in your flock, that's a significant fact, irrespective of the why." The 'why' actually is very important. Don't just jump to conclusions because you like to jump on Christians.

I agree that this was a witch hunt. There is no correlation only insinuation. Maybe less religious communities need more regulation? If you can't say anything nice. why say anything.
